Ph, the plant sale is behind the tan building next to the livestock arena...you were braver than me eating chili in this heat..

Did some laundry, bought groceries & had to pick up a birthday gift for my secret sister at church..it's tough trying to figure out something for an 18 year old...

BB...I LOVE the Old Time Pottery store...sure wish we had one in our area..

Got some pizza ready to bake & some wine chilling for the Gator game...now I just have to stay awake for it!

Home from shopping. I should stay out of some of these stores! Got lots of goodies at World Market. They had special soda and wine for Halloween, so of course I had to buy some for tomorrow at G&K's. Then we hit Old Time Pottery. Picked up some Halloween place mats for $1 each and a small pumpkin for all of $1.49. Was I ever the big spender there!!! Bert then decided that seeing as how we were already in Orlando we should head over to the Fresh Market. Bought a pile of stuff there - veggies, specialty bread and a blueberry lemon crumb cake that I can't wait to get into. Final stop was Joanne's for the motion activated candy dish I wanted for when the kids come over.

Now I'm fixing some snow crab clusters and just chilling until game time.

Have a great evening everyone and keep thinking ORANGE AND BLUE!!!

I'll take our record breaking heat over that "S" word any day. Can't believe some areas of the country are already getting some! It's going to be a long winter in some areas.

Change in plans for today. Kris said that my nephew and family would be over today. Well, she didn't hear him right. They aren't coming to Florida until next weekend! She called this morning to break the news to me. Now everything that I did yesterday to bring over I'll have to do over again next week!
We're still invited over to watch the Steelers game this afternoon, so I guess I can bring some of the stuff over so it won't go to waste.

Thanks for posting the list for what it takes to move up. How'd you get it? Bet you contacted John. Am I right?

Getting ready to head out of here to watch the rest of the Steelers game. Almost doesn't seem right to be watching football with temps over 90, but I guess someone has to do it!

Morning,

Wish I could say it was a good morning, but after the debacle of our sports teams all losing, it wasn't a good Sunday!

Kids came over for turkey dinner, so it could have been worse, at least the grandkids made us feel better. They got their Halloween costumes and wanted us to see them.........Taylor was something from Scream and Brandon was a black skeleton with chains and scary stuff.....just what we needed to cheer us up:hammer: This would feel better:hammer:. One good thing, however, we won't be eating turkey forever....they cleaned it out!

Holiday around here today, but all stores are open, just not offices and no mail. Beautiful fall weather, so I'm hoping to get out and do some leaf peeping!

PH, did you like TAR's ending. I didn't. I would have preferred to see them eliminate the last team that arrived. I don't care for those two.

Talk with you all later.

Those two are ALWAYS getting outta being eliminated.............I dont care for them either................

Sorry your teams let you down......

Dennis just called........he was reading the new issue of Natl Geo.Traveler.......and mentioned seeing the new Epic and how much neat stuff it has on it............thought of you BB saying you'd like to do it and then thought of you Rita saying NOOOOOOOOOOO........hahah.......

KC----back to work?? Hows it going??

PH, I am NOT a fan of NCL, but the EPIC does have some neat stuff on it, including an ice bar, which BB would love. I just can't get over my aversion to NCL to want to even try it. Now, if I get an invitation to a freebie, I would definitely go......you can't sell what you don't know:). That being said, I did enjoy sailing the NCL Spirit out of Boston and would go again, but only on that ship. The Spirit was so unlike any of the other NCL ships, but it was expensive........over $1400 pp for a balcony room for 7 days to Bermuda.
I'd rather spend my money on RCL or CEL. I really do not like Freestyle Dining. Seems like they were always setting and cleaning the tables all around us, and I don't like having to order my complete meal, including desert, at the same time. If we were to go on NCL again, I'm sure we would just eat in the specialty restaurants every night and not bother with the MDR. The filet mignon in the French restaurant was as good as Chops, and it was $15 pp. The steak house was $25, but worth it, and the Italian was $10 pp, so we would just build it into the price of the cruise.
I do have clients who like the Freestyle Dining concept, but mostly they love the convenience of sailing out of and into Boston....I'm sure you can understand that point of view. :)
Where is everyone? Saw that KC may have picked up a cold or something on her cruise. Hope she is feeling better. BB must still be recovering from her time at K & G's.

Good morning! Another hot one headed this way. Oh joy!!!

A dinner at Sams Sneads(Ocala location only) You are by far the last of the big spenders, I see!:boogie: Speaking of where SS used to be, have you been to the new Chinese restaurant that's in there now? Laurie and Ron said it was really good.

Rita - Sorry it wasn't a good weekend for the teams up your way. Glad the grandkids helped to ease the pain. If there's no turkey left, that is definitely a compliment to the cook.
G&K are coming for dinner tonight. I need to use up the veggies I bought expecting company yesterday. Making chicken breasts with them, but haven't decided just how yet. To bake or to grill ... That is the question.

Better get a move on. Bert wants to start taking pictures and putting stuff on ebay today, so I may have very limited access. I'll be back when I can steal the computer from him.
