Quiet around here too........Dennis was supposed to be home early...finished up and left Ft Myers around 9............was headed home and work told him they needed drivers to take stuff back to the Keys...........so now he has already been back to Ocala and picked up the load and is headed south.........have no idea when I'll see him now.........and he hasnt packed yet.............PLUS I told him to take the car since I thought he would be home by noon.............so I am car less...............I could walk up and get it(2 miles but no sidewalks) or call the inlaws if I really need it..............

That about stinks for Dennis ... and you too. Being carless is not a good thing. Company just left. After a glass of wine, I'm not in the mood to do anything. Time to just chill out and relax!

Never mind..............I decided to get off my fat a$$ and walk it...................its about 2 miles.........wasnt too bad a walk......and when I got to the storage center, the manager greeted me with a cold bottle of water......water never tasted so good............got in my car and it said it was 104 out...........

Dennis was not happy I walked.,,,,he thought I should had called his dad...........I just didnt feel like it..........I felt like a bit of exercise..........but now Im really hot..............the cold beer in the frig is calling my name...

Just got back from dinner at a small place not far from here. We had the mussels appetizer which would have been plenty for dinner and then had chicken parm. I brought most of the chicken home. Their house cab was very good and I shouldn't have had 2 glasses ... Talk about having a buzz!: Time to relax and watch some TV. See ya in the morning PH & PQ!

Your dinner sounds yummy.....bet yours was too PQ.......me? I had Stouffers French Bread pizza and 2 glasses of wine................I ALMOST went to Carabbas by myself,but thats no fun...............and I didnt feel like ordering a pizza.......too much for just me............and I didnt want to cook..............so thats what I had...............bet you're all jealous.........hahaha

Not much new around here either this morning. I actually slept until 9:45! That's a first for me. Now I have to get ready to head out to Beall's. Bert wants to find a new shirt and I might just find something for myself too!

Just dont feel like sitting home.................I deserve a break........after all i cut the grass(and Im still hot,even after a cold shower)


Forgot to tell you,Kohls opens up here Sept 28th(same day TAR starts)....hahaha

I thought TAR had already started on the Travel Channel. Not being a fan of the show, I don't follow it that closely, but I have seen the commercials for it.

Ended up getting nothing at Beall's, so we headed over to JC Penney. Bert found 2 shirts he liked and I found a 2 piece top which will be perfect for formal night and the best part is that it was on sale!

We had a wicked storm come through here a while ago. Were under a tornado warning for about 2 hours, but thank goodness that fizzled out. We did have lots of thunder and lightening and got about 4 inches of rain. Lost the signal on the TV in the middle of it all and had about 4 short power failures. It really wasn't too much fun there for a while. Things have now quieted down.

Those TARS are repeats..........regular TAR is on CBS..............I never did go out today except to pick up dennis...then I'll take him back at 10.........

I really dont need any clothes,but I'll go look "for fun"(Belks) after I take the dogs to the kennel tomorrow........................

BB - sounds like a great meal...glad you were able to find something shopping.

PH - I was hoping Kohl's would open soon. My mom works at the one down in Clearwater/Dunedin, part-time, and she said they usually open up in October. She gets a discount, so may have to drag her down there when she's visiting. She picked up some swim trunks/surf shorts for Gary...regular price $42, with markdowns and her discount, they were $3.50/ea.

Packing will be going on around here today too. Best part is that a couple of the outfits I'm bringing also went to NC, but I never wore them. It's just a matter of putting them back in the suitcase. How easy is that going to be? I do have to do laundry though. As usual, Bert wants a few things washed at the last minute! UGH ... Why does he do this to me every time?????????

Packing is finished. Pizza is done. Now it's time for a glass of wine and to relax. After all, we have a big day tomorrow!

Dennis is pakcing and ironing.........we're enjoying some wine............well,I have been enjoying some since 5pm..........

:wave Hello....anyone home...ohh noo, I'm home alone! I wish I was going with you guys too, but I only have 5 more weeks until the Mariner.

Okay...you guys will have to answer when you return, but have any of you been to the RCCL "naughty room?" Just asking because we will try to bring some wine on the Mariner. If we get caught, no biggie...I just don't want to be too embarassed. Last time on the Mariner, October 2006, we brought our wine box with 12 bottle (wine and Champagne) and had no problems, but that was pre-naughty room time. I know I'm not following the rules, but that's just me. I only post that to friends...although I know other people can read this thread.

Well, I think I've done my work for Friday...hope you are all enjoying yourselves...Josephine looks to be coming back to life...hope she misses you.

Okay...trying to hold up my end of the thread. Hot today, hoping for some rain. Went to WW today and up .6 lb...but I feel pretty good, since we had our monthly celebration feast yesterday at work. We used to do each birthday, but it got to be too much. So, once a month, second Friday, we celebrate all birthdays, with a potluck feast. I'm telling you, there is lots of food. Yesterday, there was casseroles, fried chicken, salads (greek and potato), cakes, cakes, more cakes, more carbs... I was good and only ate once, believe me the opportunity is there to graze all day. I made a cuppachino mocha trifle.

Hurricane Ike looked horrible, and Galveston is just floating, couldn't believe the people that didn't evacuate...I'm sure you are getting the news feeds onboard.

Hope the Florida Ultimate Get-together is a blast...sorry I had to miss it.

To my friends across the pond...hope the weather gets better for you.

Went to Penney's and brought new towels and bath mats, and just cleaned out the bath linen closet and the bathrooms. It's looking good...supposed to go to dinner at Carmichael's tonight...they reopened in Grille 754 (where Hightower's) used to be. I'll see how it is.

Well, I think I'm done talking to myself...will see if the other threads need my help.
