Karen - Got a question for you - Why did Publix need your insurance information? The government is paying for these shots. When we got out shots, they even told us NOT to fill out the insurance information. What Publix did is confusing. Sounds like Publix is double-dipping!

Pat, I have no idea why Publix wanted my insurance info...the form they had me fill out asked for my Medicare info...but I didn't fill that out because I only have the hospital Medicare right now...as far as I can see they didn't bill my insurance....and they already have my ins. information on file because I get prescriptions there....

Dave, it's always a nice surprise to see just how much a little bit of change can add up too...I have a little round plastic sorter that sits on my desk...it has slots for pennies, nickels, dimes & quarters....each slot when full is 1 roll of coins...had it for years & it's fun watching the slots get fuller & fuller...

Kathie, sounds like Nick got a beautiful send off from the people who loved him....that's a life well lived for sure!!
Poor Mark...it hurts just looking at that MRI....sure hope they are able to get him scheduled for some relief surgery soon!
Happy Birthday to Mr. Art!

Lee, hopefully the only bad thing at your Dr. visit yesterday were the jokes...And yep...when all is said & done I have both shots and should travel ever pick up again I will be good to go. My youngest sister Barb is planning on getting the vaccine now...she said she will do it on a Monday after she get's off work...then she will have 3 full days off work to recover if she has any issues....Jane is still undecided...maybe after Barb get's her's Jane will decide to get it too...but I'm not going to push...it's a personal decision

Bill, hope you & Rita are finally getting to enjoy some time together in your new house...this has been the year from he!! for you 2 medical wise...sure hope the next half of the year is much better!!

Laid down for a couple hours this afternoon...didn't really sleep...but I just was able to relax & unwind...I really need to get some house work done but that's not happening tonite...other than I did get my office/guest room cleaned...now I need to figure out something light & simple for supper & just chill for the rest of the evening...catch up with you all in the morning...

This site is playing games with my posts. Strange.

We just got about a 5 min slow rainfall here. I bet it will be MUGGY out there!
We’re suppose to get 100% chance of rain on Friday. And then on and off all weekend and NEXT week. I bet our WATER BILL will STILL be high.

Out of here.

Kathie, Sarnia is The Bluewater Bridge. And of course we are building The Gordie Howe Bridge to span The Detroit River.
G’nite everyone.

Lee: You are so right about the "Bluewater Bridge" name.
And they're moving right along on the Gordie Howe Bridge.
I wonder if we have the MOST border crossings into Canada? Investigate that and let me know! :emoticon 0111 blush:

Absolutely NOTHING good on TV tonight. Bummer. I need to find a good book to read when this happens.

NITE from Muggy MACOMB.

Sure hope Rita & Bill are doing okay in their new house!! Especially RITA.

Morning Bunnies!

Did you go out again in your robe to have a cup of coffee and watch the birds, K2? Here's a line to keep in your head if ever one of your neighbors spots you; "See anything you like, boy?"

Any reason for this round of hoarding, BB? I can attest to it being very difficult to finding frozen hot-wings. They've been on our grocery order for a month, and they haven't had any each week. And yes, we really like ordering our groceries rather than hunting them up inside the store.

So happy to hear you've gotten the second Covid shot, KC. The only effect it gave us was a bit of tiredness for a few days. SURE, I'll take a longer nap.

Maybe you've got an idea, or good guess, on why there's all this toilet paper hoarding, Lee.

Oh goody, today's the day they take out the Diehard battery and jumper cables and "jump" my heart to see if they can get it restarted on a normal heartbeat. (Although I've had this A-Fib for at least 25 years.) Appointment is 6 AM at the hospital.

Dave, I'm reminded of the old joke about the jumper cables that walked into a bar. The bar keeper told them to get out. The cables said that all they wanted was a drink. The bar keeper said "Well, OK. Just don't start anything." Hope that your jump start goes as planned!
About the toilet paper hoarding I did hear that all paper products could see a big jump in prices because of the increased pulp costs that have gone up doing the pandemic. Maybe people are stocking up to avoid the possible price hikes?
Kathie, I did find out that we share 119 border crossings along our 5525 mile border. With only 4 in Ontario - The three we mentioned and one in Minnesota. I'm guessing our 4 isn't close the most!
I must run. I have to call the builder about the toilet in our master bath. After 13 months it's acting up! Being a dual flush push button thingy it's not even as simple as going to t he big box store and getting a new flapper valve. It SHOULD be covered under the new home warranty. I guess we'll see.
You folks all have a fantastic Friday.

Good Morning. We got some rain over night and should be getting more on and off all day. When I opened the back doorwall it reminded me of Florida. MUGGY, WARM and the smell was that of the Gulf. Wow....I must really want to be back there to get all that from a WIFF of the air! LOL.

DAVE: Sure hope by the time I post this you're on your way home and RESTING for the rest of the day after getting RE-CHARGED! Hope everything is working nice and smoothly now.

Lee: All the best with that fancy toilet needing fixing. Does it make a loud sound when you push the button. I think that kind of plunger are suppose to be 'water savers'. Hope they can fix it for you.

It's going to be a DREARY DAY around here today. Not sure we'll see the SUN pop out at all. Bummer.

Karen: How you feeling today? Hope the 2nd JAB in the arm isn't giving you any trouble. Might be a good idea to just take it easy today.

Pat: How did Cappi do while you guys were away. Hope your house didn't get destroyed and that your breathing tubing doesn't have holes in it.

Bill:
If you're reading along let us know how Rita is doing in the new house. Take care over there.

Off to make myself a Toasted English Muffin. Catch up with you all later.

The trip home the other day went very smoothly and Rita was able to get from the garage into the house using the ramp we had built. She absolutely loved the inside which she had previously only seen in pictures. Her first night went so much better than her experience when she came home from the first rehab center and yesterday she actually went out to lunch at a local restaurant. with three of her closest friends. Both of her sisters have now been to the new house the kids and grandkids have been here to help out. The visiting nurse association sent both a nurse and a physical therapist to the house yesterday and they will be scheduling future visits over the coming weeks. It is the same VNA that I had after my hip surgery and in fact the physical therapists is the same one who helped me then, so that is reassuring. Rita is sleeping much better now that she is home and she can get in and out of bed and around inside the house with little or no assistance.
After a number of warm and sunny days, Friday has dawned gray and damp. I believe that the heat is supposed to return for the weekend.
Tomorrow the HOA is holding a cookout for all of home owners so it will give us an opportunity to meet some of our new neighbors.
Prayers to all the people affected by that horrible building collapse in Florida. It was frightening to see the video of that event.
Rita has a few doctor's appointments next week so we will be out and about a bit, which is good.
I am sure she will be checking in with you herself once she is completely settled in.

Good morning....I guess I am one of the unlucky people to have a reaction to the 2nd Modema shot....last night when I was getting ready for bed I was feeling very sore & achy all over...woke up several times in the night aching & feeling sick to my stomach...almost like waves of nausea...was supposed to go to lunch with the gang today but decided that was not a good idea. I've eaten a couple cinnamon graham crackers & had a cup of coffee...also took 1 tylenol and am feeling much better...but today is going to be a lay around in bed day for sure!

Dave, I hope they don't get the pos & neg cables crossed on your jump start...

Bye for now

Karen: Sorry you had a reaction to the 2nd shot. Good you took that Tylenol. Just REST and let it work it's way through your system. Hope you're doing much better as the day goes on.
Take care. Not sure you should share this with your sisters!

NEGC: So good to know that RITA is doing so well. YIPPEE. Just tell her not to OVER DUE all her new found freedom too fast.
It's been raining HARD here all night and morning. Not suppose to stop anytime soon.
The CREEK is UP and and going UP really fast every 1/2 hour. I see a lot of WATER coming into Art's creek flower garden area and of course soon it will be in our veggie garden. The Robins are going to have more WORMS than they can eat with the grass being so saturated.

The air outside is still WARM and MUGGY. Like I said earlier.....feels like Florida outside.

I finally get a HAIR CUT tomorrow. I made my appointment a few weeks later than normal and YIKES I can feel the need for this cut.

Good afternoon, everyone! Greetings from soggy and grim Kiss-my-a$$ on this Friday. Right now we have a t-storm going on with pouring rain. I hope it goes away as I want o go to Aldi's for some cotton candy grapes. Have you ever had them? They are so good. Right next to them is Dollar Tree and I want to see about getting plates & napkins for 4th of July before everything is cleaned out. I hate to go to either place over the weekend, so I hope the rains end soon.

Karen - Sorry you're having some of the after the second shot side effects, but that shows that the vaccine is working in your body. Jut take it easy today and you'll be fine in a day or so.

Dave - I hope you're all charged up and ready to go to the correct beat. I never heard of them doing that before and boy, that sure was an early hour to do it.

Bill - So glad Rita is home and loves her new home. She sure didn't waste any time getting back into doing something she loves - having lunch with friends. Glad you're going to get to meet some of your new neighbors this weekend too. How big of a community is it?

Lee - Good luck with the builder doing something about the toilet in the master bethroom. I really hate these now "low flow" toilets that really don't work well. They're also making them too low and if you want a higher one, you have to pay extra.
I noticed on our trip that they are taking down trees on both sides of the interstate. I remarked to Brt that I bet a lot of that is going to be turned into paper, in one form or another. I know there are a number of paper mills in Georgia. You can actually smell them at times. We had been told years ago that the smell was from swamp gases, but later found out that the smell is from when they are making wood pulp at the paper mills.

Kathie - Surprisingly, Cappi did very well while we were away as far as the air hose was concerned. Poor baby's voice was very weak from all the crying he had dome. He had eaten very little, so he must have spent his time sleeping or crying. All I know, he couldn't stay away from me and was purring constantly. See ... He really isn't that bad a cat.

Seeing as how the rains keep coming, I think it's time to go check out something that I may have recorded on TV. After a fantastic night's sleep on Wednesday night, last night's sleep was terrible. I kept waking up all night. I bet I'll fall asleep watching the TV now, if the thunder doesn't keep me awake. Enjoy the rest of your day, everyone! :)

Getting ready to turn the computer off for tonight. The rains have kept up, so we never made it to the stores I wanted to go to today. Rains also screwed us up going to the Grille with friends tonight. Time to order some pizza or get some wings for dinner and then just relax for the evening. See you all tomorrow. :)

FYI: Surgery is postponed until July 7th!! Seems they had a INSURANCE CODE ISSUE. Funny thing is that the Hospital called Mid-morning and told me what time to show up on Monday! At that time I hadn't heard from the Dr's Office Scheduling Staff. I called and they said they'd call me back in 2-3 hours. They were really trying to hold out for the Insurance folks to clear up the CODE issue. Well, that didn't happen. So I LIMP along for another 10 days. Always something! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

PAT: Nice to know Cappi was a good Kitty while you were gone. She'll get over it and be back to her old tricks before you know it.

I can't remember the last time we had a ENTIRE day of RAIN. And this isn't just a drizzle. You can hear it on the roof. Ducks are having fun with the creek way up.

We are watching the series called LUPIN on
Netflix. It's one of those movies that goes back and forth in time. You really have put on your 'thinking cap' for this one. But it's good. I can't seem to get the Sub-titles to work, so it's on HIGH VOLUME so Art can hear what they are saying. They ""whisper"" in so many of these movies lately it's madding.

We'll be having POPCORN when we start watching the movie again.

KAREN.....SURE HOPE YOUR TUMMY AND GENERAL BODY IS FEELING BETTER TONIGHT. Take another Tylenol and get some good sleep. Sending you BIG GENTLE HUGS.

Lee: We'll pass by and try and pick you up in the ARK if things keep up like they are now.
Have you heard any FOG HORN SOUNDS yet? At least it's still WARM outside.

Hadn't planned on being put out twice yesterday. I was having 2 procedures, but I just figured they'd do them both when I was knocked out.

The first one was an echocardiogram done from inside my food-pipe of the heart, looking for any blood clots that may not have shown up from the echocardiogram that was done outside my body. (They might break off when they "charged" my heart.) So after that first procedure everything shut down, waiting on those test results.

There were no clots, so they knocked me out again and zapped my heart with electricity and it did get back to a normal heart beat. But the nurse did say that it's not unusual if over time it reverts back to fibrillating instead of pumping blood.

So with that all done, I got released around 11 AM and we both came home and went back to bed.

Loved your jumper-cable joke, Lee. Oh great, now there's a "duel flush push button thingy" on a toilet. Now they are making crapper's too difficult to fix.

K2; As relatively close as we live from one another we tend to get similar weather. But not lately. It's like there's a line across Lake Erie. We get sun you get rain. You're warm, we're cold.

Happy to hear that Rita is pleased with your new house and it's much easier for her to get around in, Bill. Things are looking good for both of you.

KC; Sorry to hear that that second Covid shot left you a bit sick. But happy to hear that this reaction is short lived. In 2 weeks you too can get back to licking doorknobs.

You are so right BB that those pulp factories and paper mills really stink. They had one of those in a Georgia town where I went to Air Traffic Control school. It was nasty driving by that place. Everyone just referred to it as "The Puke Factory".
