Happy Sunday GIF
Good morning Wrabbits. It "Smells HOT" outside this morning.
That's a sign that it will most like be another scorcher day. BRING IT on! Sure beats Winter any day for me.

My lovely "weak" back has decided it wants to get some attention and has a tight muscle hold going on right now. I took a couple of Aleve pills and can only hope they help soften the grip. This usually happens when I bend down to pick something up too quickly, but this time it just came on by itself. Don't tell me that we our MUSCLES don't control our lives. Ha Ha. This one has a good grip on mine right now.

I saw the Presidential plane take off this morning for Dover Airforce Base to be there when the return of our Military losses come back home. A sad
solemn day for America. May they all RIP.

I have nothing else for you folks right now. Enjoy your day and be safe. ;)

FYI: We did manage to go to dinner with Marie & George yesterday evening. We ate outside on a covered patio with ceiling fans and I felt safe. The food was just So-So, but the company was great. M & G have managed to empty out their late daughters home after a 2 Day Estate Sale. She said the company that ran the sale has to come back haul away anything that didn't sell that was put in the garage. They then come back a last time and clean the entire inside of the house. M & G will then put the house up FOR SALE. The home is in a College are of University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and should sell rather quickly. It's a colonial home on a really nice street and has a huge backyard. They both said as sad as it will be to see the home sold, it's going to be nice to have that part of this horrible year closed and ended. It's taken a huge toll on both of them, especially Marie.

Good morning.
Well Dave, Katie Girl's tongue turns blue but not so much her "toofers" as we call them. Good call on staying in with the heat yesterday. Man, it was still stink hot at 10:30 last night! We have a separate "yard waste' collection here. Every other Monday the yard waste bags are stacked at the end of everyone's driveway.
A good rub of A5-35 (or is it WD40?) can't hurt either Kathie! Backs are so danged tricky. We have a product here called "Muscle Mist that is excellent All natural and certainly does the trick. The worst I ever put my back out was reaching over the side of an arm chair to pick up a 5 pound dog! Nice that you were able to have a meal out with George and Marie. Even if the food was only so so the company more than made up for it. Lu-Ann is reading a book set in Grosse Point, MI. They mention an area called The Village. Is that real or a made up place for the book?
A lovely early walk down by the river. There was a breeze coming off the water as long as you were right beside the river! The other part of the path that is maybe 30 yards from the river was so still and hot!
Here is a typical morning along the river in Amherstburg. Almost like a Norman Rockwell type scene. That's Katie and Ava's friends "The Sherriff" on the bench and Norm on his scooter. They are there every morning feeding the squirrels and loving up all dogs. We see the other folks as well and always exchange a friendly "Hello!". Across the water behind the freighter is Boblo Island. IMG_5120.jpeg
Then we have Lu-Ann heading back to Katie and I with Ava. The big white home you can see in the background is actually on Grosse Isle, MI.

IMG_5121.jpeg
I'm going to run for now. We have a coupon for 25% off any single item at PetSmart and Katie needs a new, soft bed.
Please friends, stay safe and sound out there. These numbers are getting crazy again!

Good Sunday morning, gang! Getting a slow start on here this morning. Probably because I don't have all that much to say at this point. (SURPRISE!!) Not doing anything special today, including not going to the brunch, as Bert's still sleeping.

Lee - Nice pictures this morning. Lu-Ann is looking good as she's walking Ava by the water. It's amazing that you're so close to the US, but still can't get there.

Kathie - I hope your back is feeling better now. Missy's back was acting up last night when she got home from work. She put some kind of menthol smelling cream on it. I personally like the smell of BenGay better. Sounds like you had a nice time going out for dinner last evening.

Dave - Any weed pulling planned for today? Whatever you do do, take breaks, sit down and drink lots of water.

Karen - Did you get any rain yesterday? We had a good downpour that came out of nowhere and was gone just as fast as it came. Only managed to make the humidity that much higher.

Time for me to turn on TV and see how that hurricane is advancing toward New Orleans. I need to see where Jim Cantore is this time!! LOL

Have a great day, everyone, no matter what you're doing! :)

Hi GANG. STILL hotter than H.LL here today. YIKES! Suppose to go down to 70's this coming week. I'll be complaining it's freezing then! Just can't win.

I drove over to the closest FARM 1 mile.... to get some fresh tomatoes and a spaghetti squash and a red onion. I made us Gazpacho for later tonight and just needed a couple more tomatoes cut up in it. Love a good veggie gazpacho with a dollop of sour cream on top. Good for HOT days like today.
Then I drove over to Kroger's and bought some fresh bread and milk and cheese slices and a couple of Chick-F-La gift cards to boost my fuel points up and filled up the old gas tank for $2.63 a gallon. I saw yesterday that prices are UP, UP, UP at most stations and since it's almost the end of the month and Labor Day is coming up and the HURRICANE IDA is causing
havoc the price of GAS will be going up ASAP. I can't wait to drive by tomorrow and see if the price actually went up. Ha Ha

LEE: GREAT picture of Lu-Ann with Katie. We have friends that live on Grosse Ile. That bridge being down over there is causing all kinds of headaches for residents getting on and off.
Luckily they have another bridge to use, but it's way on the opposite side of the island.

Pat: The Aleve seems to be helping UNSNAP the grip on my back. Still there, but not as bad. Lee.....I'll have to remember WD40 if it really gets worst. Ha Ha. I have some CBD roll on and I keep rolling that on it. Who knows if it's helping or not. I know it cost me enough to buy the stuff.

DAVE: I know you're not much into baseball, but the TAYLOR, Michigan little league is playing a CHAMPIONSHIP game against HAMILTON, OHIO little league. I'm of course rooting for TAYLOR, MICHIGAN. These young players are amazing with their swings at bat and the pitchers are all but pro's.

Later gang.......... Praying for all the folks in IDA's way. And of course for all our military to get out of Iraq safely the next few days. Watched the “dignified transfer” at Dover AFB earlier this morning. So sad. May they RIP. Thank you for your service and lives to the country.

Well, just like a AMAZON DELIVERY we got our RAIN STORM for today a little while ago. Pour really good. No need to water the plants or grass AGAIN!
The TEMPS went from 94F to 74F in a matter of a 1/2 hour.

Hope you are all safe in your areas.

AND MORE RAIN JUST NOW while I was looking around on Facebook. Crazy night.
And we don't live anywhere near New Orleans! LOL.

Lee: Hope all is good down your way. No thunder here at all. Hopefully, that's the same by you.

Heavy rain and high winds Kathie. We’re missing our “Bearomter” who always predicted bad weather for us.
G’nite everyone.

Just a quick check in this morning. Gut isn't feeling very good. May be just a UTI.

But I'm sure doing better than what's going on at the Kabul airport and areas around New Orleans.

Heading back to bed.

Good morning Wrqvvits!
Dave: Hope you feel better as the day moves on. Drink a lot of water to FLUSH things out of your system. Give your GUT a break from some of your “Spicy” breakfast combos!

Let’s hope that those in the path of
IDA made it through the night or got out of town in time.
Praying for all those still trying to get out of Iraq. Not going to be a lot of good news coming from there any time soon.

So far cooler here this morning and sunny. 70F now and climbing up tp 80F by noon.

I’ll be back later. Need a cup of JAVA right now. Have a good day all.

Good morning, everyone! Another 90+ day for us here in God's waiting room!!

Dave - I hope by the time you're reading this that you are feeling better already. Take Kathie's advice and drink lots of water and if you still aren't feeling well, get yourself in to the doctor to be checked out. No fooling around when you don't fee well, ya hear?

Kathie - Glad you're getting a bit of cool weather after all the heat by you. There's light at the end of the tunnel for you ... Fall arrives everywhere in 23 days, except in Florida! LOL

Today is going to be my easy day. Missy is making dinner tonight - enchiladas, which we have never had before and Jimmy requested. All those years of living in Texas has definitely rubbed off on them. They love Mexican food.
While she stays home prepping her dinner, I want to get to Aldi's to pick up a few types of cheeses for a charcuterie board I'm fixing for tomorrow night. G&E are coming and I'm only planning the cheese board and a few other appetizers that I can get out of the freezer. I also need Gary to check out my laptop. I don't think I have any anti-virus software on here now and I'm getting too many pop up ads that keep redirecting me to other sites. It's driving me nuts! Hopefully, Gary can fix whatever is the problem.

We had an unplanned adventure yesterday. We wanted to find the restaurant we're going to on Friday night. They moved since the last time we were there. It's kind of tricky to get to, so I'm glad we checked it out. That was the easy part. We then wanted to go to Old Time Pottery. Somehow Bert must have missed a turn somewhere along the line and we ended up spending well over an hour trying to find the right road again. Mind you, I used this opportunity to tell him how easy it would have been to get on the right road if we had a Nav system in our car. I'm a b*tch at time, I admit it!! Ha Ha! So a round trip that should have taken about 2 1/2 hours, ended up taking us 4 hours! But at least we found it and got what we needed.

Time for me to have my cup of coffee and then head out of here. I want to get the trip to Aldi's over with before schools start letting out. Then the roads get all blocked up. I'll try to get back here later. Have a wonderful day, gang, and stay safe! :)

Good morning!
Been a busy, productive day so far. We got the pups walked, picked up some groceries, fuelled the van, got the van scheduled for AC service on Thursday, Lu-Ann and I made "farm cakes" for our get together this afternoon, I got a call to see my urologist tomorrow instead of next week so I moved rehab from tomorrow to Thursday morning. Oh ya, and got the back yard cut and mostly trimmed before the batteries got "tired". I bet some of you are tired just reading that! Heck, I'm tired just writing it!
So Pat, when you go all Jersey on Bert about the car and GPS does he relegate you to where a right proper back seat driver should be? Hmmm?

It's driving me nuts!
You know that Tony would make a crack about not needing a GPS to get you there. But I'm above that. :emoticon 0109 kiss: We had such great Mexican food in San Antonio it spoiled us for most other places lame attempt to make good Mexican! Provided all is well for traveling south in January / February, how far ahead do we have to book a seat at Missy's for enchiladas? Just askin' for a friend.
We had a pretty wicked dumping of rain and lightening last night Kathie. Now, you know Bear was afraid of thunder, lightening and heavy rain. He often would hunker down in the bathroom. Last night just before the storm hit the shower curtain and rod fell down. I like to think that he was still looking out for us and telling us the weather was moving in. Enjoy that cup o' Joe!
Dave, three for three on the water to flush your system. Plus, with the heat we've had lately a little extra fluid to hydrate you can't hurt! I'm hoping that it's just from th heat of the past few days. Or one of your wacky breakfast concoctions!
What's on the calendar for you today Karen? Pool time at your place or your sister's I hope!
Off I go.
Please stay out of harms way everyone.

Lee: I'm with you on BEAR sneaking into the bathroom and pulling down the shower rod and curtain. These things just don't happen on their own.

It's been a lazy kind of a day here.
I must have waited 10 mins total on and off trying to CANCELL a doctors appointment I found booked on our calendar. Kept calling and getting the recording telling me to HOLD because they were busy helping another patient. And then the gal had the nerve to ask me WHY I was cancelling a November appt! I told her because I saw the doctor earlier in the Spring and the DOCTOR told me I didn't need to come back! DUH!!

I don't feel much like cooking a meal for us tonight because I'm not hungry. That seems more than reasonable to me. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Tomorrow I get to meet up with the other gal from church to go Kitchen & Bathroom supply shopping. It should be fun spending the churches money on setting up both rooms. Only thing is we were told NOT to go overboard. Just the essentials. Well, that's a lot of stuff in itself. From silverware to coffee pots to salt and pepper shakers, pots and pans and potato peeler! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme: The bathroom shouldn't be as bad. Shower curtains and liner, plunger, towels, toilet paper, tissue, soap, throw rug. I'm even up to buying a NEW toilet seat. Just need to try and find out what shape the toilet bowl is. You all know me and germs and somebody else's toilet seat just wouldn't fly with me. Besides that's only about a $25 buck item. The good priest can install it or one of the church parishioners' who is helping to set things up.

Hot here today, but acceptable. Art cleaned out some of the dead veggie greens from the garden. Cuke vines and tomato vines, etc.

Karen hope you're having a good day girl.

Hope they get everyone they can out of Iraq. It's night time there and LORD only knows what the heck is going to happening now.
Still feel very sorry for any children and females. Hope they don't have to go back to covering their faces with the head-gear that only has tiny little holes for them to see where they are walking. And I pray they leave the teenage girls alone and let them continue to go to school. It's just so sad and crazy.

Later...........

Good afternoon all!!

Lee, I have no doubt that Bear was letting you all know he was ok...and still with you in his own way....a few years ago after my black kitty KT went across the Rainbow bridge I was laying down on my bed & I heard her purring on the floor next to my bed...it was so clear I actually leaned over the bed to see her...she had a very distinctive purr...and I knew it was her way of saying goodbye....still miss every one of them that have gone on...

Hope all turns out ok with your Dr. appt. tomorrow...

Kathie, that was a beautiful centerpiece they sent home with you from the baby shower...nice that they shared them with the guests...

Have fun spending the churches money tomorrow...it's always more fun shopping when someone else is getting the check!

Dave, don't wait to long to get checked out if you aren't feeling better soon!! Is it the same kind of symptoms Kathi had?

Pat, those homemade enchiladas sound pretty good....we have a half way decent Mexican restaurant here in Belleview...but the food is nothing like what you get when you actually eat in Mexico...

Hope Gary can get the nasties off your computer tomorrow...

Nothing much going on here...I went to a new church yesterday...it's one Tom & Grant have been going to near the Villages...they have talked about it quite a bit & it seemed interesting....it was ok...will probably visit a couple times to make up my mind if I'd be interested in going or not...it didn't "wow" me like some churches I've gone too..
Pool time yesterday at my place again...with all the rain we've had lately Jane is struggling to keep her pool from going green....every time it starts to clear up we get 3-4 days of rain & it turns all ugly again...

Grocery shopping this morning...then this afternoon I made homemade Chicken Noodle soup from the chicken bones of the Sam's club rotisserie chicken...came out ok...but I never seem to get enough seasoning in it....oh well...I'm the only one who has to eat it...

That's about all the news from Belleview....catch up with you all tomorrow

Looks like you’ll be able to see it. Wow.

Karen: The best homemade soup starts with raw chicken. And I still need to add some of those “chicken base cubes” to get it to be strong tasting enough.
Now if you have a large Turkey carcass from Thanksgiving it makes a good RICH soup.

Nice that you tried out s new church. Keep trying until you find a WOW one.

DAVE: How you feeling buddy? Hope better.

The Trumpsters are still moaning that we left Americans behind. Well, from what I’ve been reading snd listening to the AMERICANS that left in Iraq wanted to stay. Don’t know who to believe anymore.
I wish all of Iraq well. They had 20 years to learn and get it right….now you’re on your own.
I pray we don’t make this stupid mistake again.

Night gang.
Shopping time tomorrow morning.

Thank God, that 20 year old war has officially ended, and our troops are out of there!

It actually ended a few hours before I was expecting. I hadn't taken into account the difference in our time and Afghanistan's time. So it totally surprised me when mid afternoon our time, it was going into the 31st their time.

Now the parents of American soldiers can sleep a little better now.

And now the Taliban can go back to fighting Isis and Al-Qaeda. And any other tribe or warlord they've been fighting for 1,000 years.

Ida left a mess, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been, and the levees held. It's not going to feel good in the humidity and heat with power out for quite some time. Even much cell phone service has been knocked out. That's going to turn many people's lives upside down. Especially the ones that can't stay off those phones for 15 minutes. "What do you mean, I can't text???"

So much fun reading your posts every day and seeing what each one of you are up to.

For me, I've got a morning doctor's appointment to check out this possible urinary tract infection. It sure hurts a lot when I go to pee.

Our lawn crew's mowing day has been on Mondays for a while. So when they didn't show up all day yesterday I figured they weren't coming. Wrong. At 7:30 PM they pulled in. As it was starting to get dark. When they left here, I bet they didn't go anywhere else, except home.

Good Morning Wrabbits. Gotta make this quick. It's "SHOPPING DAY" for the new priest and his family!

DAVE: Sure hope they give you some good DRUGS for your UTI! Those can be a real pain! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:
Try and stay away from SPICY foods for awhile too. That doesn't help matters any at all.

Should be interesting to what the news stations will do as far as picking on the POTUS now that we're basically out of Afghanistan. I'm sure it won't take them long to find something new to chew his butt over.

Okay, I must run. Have a good day and remember DELTA is still out there trying to find us all.

Good morning, y'all! It's going to be another 90s day here in the deep south.

Dave - Glad you're going to the doctor today. Time for some antibiotic to knock that UTI out of your system NOW! Our landscapers have been known to show up pretty late also. Thank goodness that doesn't happen often. I expect they will be here today at some time.

Lee - I hope you get good news from your doctor today. I think you're right that Bear was letting you know he was visiting you with a t-storm coming in. M&J's one dog is afraid of thunder too and cries when she hears it. It's the one and only time she will jump on the couch and sit real close to you.

Karen - I hope you find a church that you really like soon. I just found out that the Catholic church right outside Bellalago has a 7AM English mass, a 10:30 Spanish mass and, get this, a 2:00 Cajun mass! I didn't realize there were that many people in the area that speak Cajun. Some of the Catholic churches in this area also have a Portuguese mass as there are a lot of people in the area from Brazil. You learn something new every day!!

Kathie - Happy shopping. You're right that the bathroom should be easy, but how do you even begin to pick all the stuff for the kitchen? What store are you going to go to the get all this stuff? I'd stay away from BB&B as that can get very expensive. Do you have an Ikea near you? If not, I think WalMart would be about the cheapest place.

Missy's dinner last night was delicious. The good part is that there's lots of leftovers. The bad part is that she wants to take those leftovers to work for her lunches this week.
Missy is off to get her hair colored this morning. She's getting it died pink, blue and purple! September is suicide prevention month and those are the colors that represent suicide prevention. I don't even want to estimate how much this is going to cost her. So far, she plans to go back to her regular color after this month. You never know though if she'll like it so much that she'll keep it a while longer.

The gang will be over tonight for dinner. I wonder how much I can get out of the freezer and make. Nothing fancy, that's for sure.

Time for a cup of coffee and to read the paper for a little while before I get the details of this dinner and how long each item takes to bake coordinated. Keep those masks up and stay safe, everyone! :)
