Checking in as I pass through.
Yes, we went to the Farm
Market so I think that counts as a visit to the grocery store? Make sure Missy puts the wine on the TOP of the list.
I'm so happy for Bert and you Pat. He's a real trooper. They'll be putting him on a poster that reads "Who can do it? BERT can!"
I got the back "grass" cut. Things are still so dry. Why don't we water you ask? Our last water bill for three months for two people was $235.77. That's over 235 good reasons.
Yes, Linda's gift was so thoughtful. I think that the quilt motif may be OK, especially if she does it like the barns in Mennonite country.
Actually Dave, there are at least two Taco Bell locations in Aruba that I'm aware of.
It's just a tick under 70F now Kathie. Warmer than it was all day yesterday. We didn't get any of the rain or storms that were forecast but all of the towns around us got hit!
Technology - you can't live without it and you can't live with it. I still don't know if that "interweb"

thing will last.
Got to go to the pharmacy. My Atrial Fibrillation script is ready.
Hi to the rest!
All of you have a good day.

PAT this is for you! Ha Ha. It's been around a few times, but I just had to share since you've been talking about "WINE" lately! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

May be an image of wine and text that says Special Wines Pino Noir Pino Blanco Pino Grigio 申 The Wine of the Month WINE OF THE MONTH You'll like this one! rt's made from an anti-diuretic hybrid grape and reduces the number of trips people your age go to the toilet during the night. It's called PINo MORE!
Pee-No-More! (get it)

Good evening. Went to Publix about a rx that I had gotten notice of being recalled. Well it was recalled because the company went out of business, but the product is okay. So the pharmacist said he could give a different one in place but since he said it is okay to actually use I am just going to use them.

Tomorrow is my last PT. I am going to ask if they can print out the exercises so I know how long and how many on each of them. I know how to do them.

All have a good night.

With all the nasty weather in the Southeast, that song popped into my head. An oldie but a goody.

K2; I got to get me a bottle of the "Pino More" wine. Is that a French wine?

And yes BB, put the wine at the TOP of the grocery list. In capital letters. So what kind of things does Bert's PT person put him through?

That Farmers Market you went to Lee does qualify as grocery-shopping. When you went out to mow did you tell Lu-Ann, in a manly voice, "I'm going out back to kick some grass." ? It seems there's a few of us that have A-Fib. So what's the prescription they have you on for it?

Refresh my memory KC. Is that picture on your posts Scooter? And is that little critter still doing good?

As for our grocery shopping yesterday, I had a good old time. When we first walked in they had this sign you could buy, it said "The liquor store should have a rewards program". It cracked me up.

And then got to the business of, what else, loading up on more ice cream. Hot Damn, the "Lemon Ice Box Pie Ice Cream" is available again. (It's seasonal.) Plus I picked up a small container of "Madagascan Vanilla Bean" gelato.

Funny, the freezer in our new frig is starting to look crowded. I can't figure out why?

Just popping in to say "Howdy" and then off to try and meet up with Art and the bikers at the Coffee shoppe up in Lake Orion.

You all behave and I'll be back as they say! YES.... it's a threat.

Dave: I had some Black Cherry Ice cream last night. I think you're a BAD influence on me! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

This afternoon have an appt with the Podiatrist.

Good afternoon.
Soothing to the sounds of Brook Benton as I peck away at the old keyboard.
As my esteemed
colleague and friend Dave mentioned, this morning I kicked some grass. That term made me smile. As for the A-Fib meds I'm on 360 mg of Diltiazem. they are pretty darned big. My Dad would have called them "horse pills".
Did you get the info from the PT that you were hoping for Nancy? You realize the hard part now is on you to keep up the PT at home.
And what treats, aside from Art of course, did you find at the coffee shop Kathie? We're supposed to get another bout of wind, rain and thunder this afternoon. If it's in your area I hope Art and the rest of the "biker gang" make it home before it starts.
I didn't need the explanation Bill. As a matter of fact I was having a glass at the time. Honestly, it didn't work.
I finally got my hair cut booked for this afternoon. I much prefer morning appointments but have been putting this off to the point that if Fred MacMurray were still around he would likely mistake me for The Shaggy Dog.
Tomorrow morning Lu-Ann has bloodwork for her upcoming cardiologist appointment. She has to fast so we'll likely grab a little something afterwards at "Joe" in Kingsville where the lab is located.
I do hope that rest of the gang is doing better then well! See you all later!

Good afternoon! Sorry for being so late to the party today.

It's been a busy morning around here. The highlight was watching Bert take his first shower since he came home. His physical therapist asked me to watch him shower to make sure he didn't do anything stupid, like bend over or fall. I said that I'd do that if I could sit there with a glass of wine and applaud if I was enjoying the show. Both Bert & the therapist thought that was very funny. They didn't know I was serious!!! Well, I didn't have the wine and the show wasn't that interesting either. :emoticon 0136 giggle: ;) Taking the shower was one thing, but I had to leph him put on the compression stockings afterwards. That I am just not strong enough to do, so I called our friend down the block. She's a retired nurse . She came up and in about 2 minutes, she had both compression stockings on Bert. I tried, but I would have killed myself and still not been able todo it, so I was thankful the Cheryl could give us a hand. She also brought us 2 of her famous banana chocolate chip muffins which we ate immediately.

Dave - I love that Brook Benton song! Glad the grocery store had your special ice cream in again. I know you will be stocking up while it's available. Bert has some exercises to do lying down on the bed. Things like raising his leg and holding it up for a few seconds or bending the leg at the knee. He's shown Bert about 4 or 5 different exercises that he has to do 3 times a day and then has to put ice on his leg afterwards for 5 minutes. Therapist is so impressed with Bert's progress, that he is going to start introducing using a cane instead of the walker tomorrow.

Kathie - I've seen that cartoon before. It was very fitting, especially since this morning I had to call and make an appointment with a urologist for Bert. Biggest problem is that all the doctors here are so busy. First available appointment with the urologist is in September! I made an appointment with his PA for July 21st, but when I explained the problem, receptionist was putting him on the list for a possible sooner date, if there is a cancelation. In the meantime, I then called his primary to see if he will send medication that will at least ease the problem until he can get in to the urologist's office. As you would say - It's always something!

Lee - Nice that you were able to kick some grass. Some of the meds I have to take would fall into that category of being called "horse pills". I'm just lucky that I can swallow pills like that. A lot of people cant.

Karen - I hope you're taking it easy in this heat and not working outside too much. Instead, you and your sisters should be taking advantage of the pool, either at the clubhouse or at your sister's house. Just make sure you use plenty of sunscreen.

Nancy - Did you get that PT information that you wanted?

Once again we're waiting for Missy to get here to take care of some things that need to be done. I just hate taking up so much of her time, but she's more than willing to give us a hand with things. At least we don't need to cook anything tonight. We have more leftovers than we'll need for the next few days.

Nice posts Wrabbits. I needed to read some good stuff on here.

Lee: No treats at the Coffee Shop.... because I never made it there. After my quick post on here I tried to get on another site and this computer wasn't letting me.
LONGgggg story short I ended up calling Xfinity (Comcast) and a really nice foreign lady helped me set up all I needed for one of their Modem/Router boxes. I went and picked it up at the local Xfinity shop and came back home to set it up.

A VERY nice guy from Honduras worked with me to get it all working with all our computers, iPad, cell phones etc, etc. Then JUST BEFORE I let him go I said "What about the printer"? Well, we worked on that for way too long and finally got the wireless Printer to connect to the new network! Whew.
TOTAL TIME I was on the phone with this VERY NICE PATIENT guy was 2:25 minutes. Unbelievable. But very happy all is working SO FAR.

I just hope this solves the issue of the computer going down way too many times lately.

PAT: Lucky you having to watch Bert take a shower. Ha Ha. Last time I had anything to do with ART in the shower was when he had his last BACK SURGERY. I had to wash his back while he sat in the chair. Lordy what we don't have to do for each other now that we are falling apart. :emoticon 0140 rofl:
Pat, I saw the pictures of Jennifer getting her LONG hair cut to give to have a wig for needy kids made out of it. LOVE her new shorter haircut. Proud of her. She looked fantastic.
I think it's a SIN that you can't get into see a Urologist when you need one. Do they realize how much discomfort we are in when we call for a appointment? I would think that while Bert was in the hospital (even for a day) that they could have looked into that problem.

Lee: Hopefully Lu-Ann's cardiology appt is not because she is having issues. Just preventative. I don't remember you saying that she had heart issues.
And I take 2 pills that I totally consider HORSE PILLS. Can barely swallow them.

Okay, we're off to go to someplace to eat. I don't have any energy left in me to cook after my computer session!

Later gang.

Good evening!

Pat, it's great to hear Bert is doing so well after his hip surgery! I know several people in my community who have broken their hip & ended up in rehab for several weeks or more after surgery. Bert is one tough dude!

Lee, good luck to LuAnn on her visit to the vampire bank tomorrow, a nice cup of coffee & sweet treat sounds like a good reward! The shed looks great all painted up & the glasses you were given are a real hoot!

Kathie, you have much more patience than I do to spend all that time on the phone getting your computer issues straighten out. You for sure deserve a nice dinner out! After about the first 15 mins. I would have just said send someone out to fix it, I don't care what it costs!

Dave, sounds like you are in ice cream heaven again! Are you sorry now you didn't buy a fridge with a bigger freezer? Yep, the kitty on my profile is Scooter, she has her good days & bad days, but Vet says her Bp is doing better so that's a plus. Now if I could just get her to gain some weight I'd feel better.

Nancy, hopefully the PT has done you some good & you are able to continue the progress at home.

This has been a crazy week, something going on or somewhere to go everyday! Finally catching a break tomorrow, but then there is all the chores & things around the house to catch up on.
Went to Jane's this morning & mowed the front yard & took a load of tree trimmings to the dump. Then had a meeting with a homeowner this afternoon who is buying another unit in here to move into & then will be renting out their current unit. The Hoa president is a nice guy, but he tends to make things a LOT more complicated than they need to be. The people have lived in here for 2 yrs, but he went thru the same "interview" process with them as he would for someone buying for the first time. I understand there IS some paperwork that needs to be done to update the new owners of the property they are buying, but the rest of the interview was not needed at all. 6 months left on my term & I can't wait!!
Barb & Wendy left early yesterday morning for Ohio, our 30th family reunion is Sat. they made it to just outside Knoxville last night. She posted pics of their hotel on FB and it looked really nice.
And that's all the news from Belleview, have a great evening all!

Good evening. Was at the Podiatrist and with him for all of 5 minutes. He as please that the shot he gave is working, go back in 3 months.

Got two sheets showing the exercises with number of times and how long for the holds. They really don't do much good. I am so ready to get the nerves burnt. That will help. I am sure it is because the main problem is with the disks pressing on the nerves. And the exercises don't do anything for that.

Pat, Bert is lucky to be at home and getting his Pt there. the lady across the street was in rehab for at least two weeks after each of her hip replacements. And i know i read about others going to rehab for 3 or more weeks.

I just took the garbage and recycles out and it is 95 degrees, too hot.

All have a good night.

Karen: I forced myself to sit there and try, try, try to get this new Modum/Router set up and working.
The issue with sending a Tech to the house isn‘t the cost, it’s WAITING FOR A APPOINTMENT! Seems like they don’t have enough Tech’s working these days.
I’m just glad I could understand the guy on the phone and we hit it off good with some laughs!

Good Friday morning, Bunnies.

I know what you mean when you mentioned "horse pills", Lee. Those things are tough to swallow for a lot of people. And most pills are not suppose to be broken up or chewed before swallowing them.

I've got to ask, BB; Did Bert shake his booty in the shower to entertain his one person audience???

K2; Ain't no way I could handle about 2 1/2 hours on the phone with a tech to get our computer stuff working. You have WAY more patience than I do.

There you are KC, I was wondering where you went. Happy to hear that Scooter is mostly doing good. To gain wait.......maybe she need some ice cream every day.

Oh peachy; According to the newscasters it looks like the winds are shifting again and we're going to get some more smoke in our air from those wildfires. Changing the color of the sky. But, luckily it'll be pretty much in the higher altitudes. Not in the ground level winds like it was last time. A few of those fires are expected to burn all summer long.

IT'S FRIDAY AGAIN! Another week fly's by!

Good Morning GIF
So far it's SUNNY and chilly outside here. 59F. But things are looking up for it to start getting much warmer. The weather guy even said something about the 80's next week. WOW....now that would be nice.

Nancy: Thanks for the reminder about Father's Day this Sunday. I have a 30% off coupon at Kohl's and need to go over today and see about a getting Art something. Problem is he has so many T-Shirts and Golf like shirts it's hard to find a color he doesn't have. Ha ha.

Seems like this new Modem/Router combination is working so far. Whew! I just need to type out the new WiFi name and Security Key password on my cheat sheet in case I need it one day.

Karen: Good to know that Scooter's BP is holding it's own. Not sure how you get a cat to gain weight. Nice that Barb and Wendy got to go to the family reunion. I take it you didn't want to join in on that this time around. A good time for you to get some "ME" time for yourself.
Who knew that your HOA was so involved when it came to all the interviewing of new owners. (even if they already lived there) I guess it's a good thing to know just who is living in your community. Not too sure I would approve of a resident buying a place and renting it out. That could start to bring in "Riff-Raff" and a lot of "in and out movement of people moving in and out of the condo. Unless there is a specified lease time. Surprised that is allowed.

Lee: I showed Art the picture of Linda's shed and he said you all did a great job. I think it's great.

Pat: How's the Patient doing today? Have you had to tie him down to a chair to keep him from over doing the walking around? Does he get a visit from the physical therapist person today? You should join in when he's doing the exercises and really get your monies worth out of the insurance company. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Bill: What have you been up to this past week?

We went to a cozy Steak house last night for dinner. It has a really nice menu. Art had fish and I had a chicken dish. They have a 4 piece band in the front of the place playing old tunes. We sat in the back area to avoid the LOUD SOUND. This is a casual place right on the side of a neighborhood. Lots of Golfers end up there after their game during the day. We hadn't been there since Covid hit. It was nice to go back. The remodeled the back section and it was nice. Prices were "higher", but they are everywhere. They make a Stoney Creek Coffee that I love and it didn't disappoint. It comes in a big Brandy Snifter glass. I have the recipe and make it at home. YUM.

Out of here to finish off my Cheat Sheet list. And then make sure to look over the grocery list. Fri, Sat, Sun are double fuel reward days. Gotta take advantage of that. So far the list is a short one.

Be good little Wrabbits and have a FUN SAFE DAY.

Kathie, the HOA has to approve any rental agreements before the person is allowed to move in. And the homeowner who is renting has to have lived in the property for 24 consecutive months before they can even try to rent the property. We also have a cap on how many rentals vs owner occupied homes there are in the community, so it's pretty protected in that regard.

Nothing much on the agenda here today, I walked over to the grocery store this morning to pick up a few items I needed to make my breakfast casserole for the Father's Day breakfast at church. I decided to make a cinnamon french toast casserole. My sister has made it before & it's really good. Plus it tastes just as good cold as it does warm, so I won't have to worry about keeping it warm during church
Off to read a bit on the porch before the rains move in again

Sorry that the Pino More didn't work for you, Lee. Perhaps if you drank a larger quantity of it, you might get better results. Worth trying anyway- perhaps a Jeraboam?
This afternoon will be may final pool session and beginning next week I will begin a twice a week PT session. Pool has been good, but the PT seems to be doing more to help me so the physical therapist believes that two times a week will speed things considerably.
We had a somewhat better night at cribbage this week and won three of the five games. Only problem is that the two games our opponents won were skunks, so the final score was 6 to 6. There are only four teams and at the present time we are in last place. Hoping things will be better in the weeks to come.
We drove to a casino in RI
yesterday, missed a turn and ended up taking the scenic route.
Got there eventually and ended up only leavi

leaving a modest donation. Tried to edit the previous post but time expired.
Resist the temptation to skip some of those home pt exercises, Nancy. In the long run it will help if you continue them as long as they recommend.
I remember the difficulty that Rita had when she tried to put those compression socks on my legs, Pat. It isn't easy though the visiting nurse could do it quickly and quite well. I think she benefitted from frequent practice doing that task. I was disappointed to see that Blacklist wasn't on last night. There are only a few more episodes and the most recent ones seem to have recaptured some of what made the earliest seasons worth watching.

A busy group and as always some of the posts and situations brought a smile to my normally grumpy face.
We appreciate the concern with Lu-Ann's appointment but it's all part of keeping tabs on her PD and any side effects that could arise.
Well said about the PT Bill! There's lots of days that I would rather not but I know that I committed to all of the Docs and kinesiologist specialists (that's what they call physio therapists here now. I wonder if they get paid more?) who took care of me a couple of years back.
95F at 7:30 pm is WAYYY to hot Nancy!
Karen, if I were to leave now would I be in time for some of that "breakfast bake". Sounds great! Now, enjoy that time on the porch.

Yes, one of the rings that made me smile was the thought of Art and Kathie at a steak house having chicken and fish. The ramp is on the shed now. We suggested that Linda paint it with some "grit paint" for added traction and to prevent slips when it gets wet.
Another of the things to smile about was the thought of you Pat, sitting outside the shower, glass of wine in one hand, cellphone in the other just in case you needed to call for help for Bert. You are both such good sports and really, an inspiration to all of us on overcoming a bump in the road.
Those fires are just plain bad for everyone and everything Dave. Yes, hopefully smoke at the higher levels won't effect those with breathing concerns. I honestly don't know how they expect some folks to some pills without breaking them. That may not be too bad but how do you break a capsule?
Geez, best get a move on. Ava has an appointment at the vet to get her nails trimmed. I used to do all of the dogs but simply don't trust myself with the clippers any more.
Be good my friends.
