Good evening. Today I have cleaned off two shelves in my big bookcase and a third is almost done. Will finish it in a bit. With the two shelves I got 2 bags of trash, also cleaned out the drawer in my nightstand.

Pat, I hope Bert gets the scan soon so they can figure out what to do to help him.

I have found 3 radiology places that take my insurance and have Open MRI for my MRI that I will get in Oct for my pancreas and liver. I get the MRI once a year because of medication i take and it/they can affect both. But with the MRI last year I realized I can't do the enclosed anymore. And where I have been going they don't have an Open MRI.

I have read few articles about the people on the sub that has disappeared. The 19 year old really did not want to go but went because it fell on Father's Day and he did not want to disappoint his Dad. The owner of the company who was driving the sub, his wife's Great Great Grandparents died on the Titanic. One of the other men it was his 36th dive to the Titanic, he was know as the greatest historian of the Titanic. Each time he would go down he would learn more. It is all so sad. For their families sack I hope they find the sub and can bring it up so the families are able to bury their loved ones.

All have a good night.

Good morning.
Hoping to see some good news from Momma Bunny about our Bert.
Still tired from yesterday’s fiasco. 2 1/2 hour drive each way and, here’s the kicker, three hours at his office. He is so overbooked.
He is the only glaucoma and cataract specialist around Kathie. The specialist in Windsor is not accepting any more patients.
Drizzle here now and rain forecast throughout the day. We need it.
You all stay safe, cool and we’ll.

Good Friday morning, Bunnies!

Sad to hear yesterday that the submersible imploded a few days ago on the way down to the Titanic. By the sudden loss of communications, that was my guess. But when they heard some hammering sounds a few days ago, I was questioning that theory. Now I want to know what those hammering sounds came from. At least it was quick death for those 5 people aboard. Sure beats gasping for oxygen in a carbon dioxide filled cabin, as oxygen ran out.

Sure hope you're right about that broccoli-slaw, K2. Can't say I've ever encountered a walk-in X-ray machine.

Hoping to hear a good report about Bert, BB. A crustless chicken pot pie is my favorite kind.

KC; I can see that your high humidity and so much rain causes so much of your rotting problem with some plants. Gotta know.......What kinds of cat toys did you make for the cat-rescue last night? Hope Monday's Vet visit doesn't cost you an arm and a leg.

You sure had a long day for a single doctor's appointment, Lee.

No plans for today. Yesterday Kathi got pampered by getting a massage. The last time I got a massage was on a cruise ship a few years ago. A much better view than what you get at a beauty salon.

WHAT ALREADY! Geez, it will be snowing pretty soon if this keeps up!

Dave Posted: Can't say I've ever encountered a walk-in X-ray machine.
You're so funny and quick to catch these things. It's actually a NO APPT NEEDED type of
X-Ray. Climb on the table, snap the picture and you're on your way! The other X-ray required a appt and I get some radiation injected in my arm. Hopefully, I won't be glowing afterwards. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Lee: Amazing how these Dr's offices over-book. Glad that test is done and you both made it home. Long day for sure.

BB: Did Bert ever make it home last night? Talk about a long day for him and Missy. I know you'll let us know what's going on as soon as you know. Take care .

Karen: It was like you were meant to be in this new church. Imagine having a craft group that makes CAT Toys! Can't wait to find out just what you gals were making.

Okay..........out of here for now. Going over to the Hospital Annex a few miles away so Art can get his BLOOD WORK done for his Annual Physical next week.
ALWAYS SOMETHING!
Then we're going for breakfast afterwards. He won't be home tomorrow morning, so we're doing Birthday Breakfast a day early. The man has been celebrating all week. Ha Ha.

We have the same LIGHT RAIN that Lee has going on. The grass is going to LOVE IT. Just not enough coming down to make a really big difference.

Good morning!

First up - Bert news! The bottom line is that there is no news. They did the bladder scan and it showed nothing different than the one that was done 3 weeks ago, so they sent him home. I need to call the urologist's office and hope they can get him in earlier than a month from now.

I just called the urologist and was able to get an appointment for him to get into the office next Tuesday. He will be so glad to hear that, poor guy.

Now back to our regularly scheduled post ...

That was so sad to think that submersible lost compression so soon and everyone was lost so quickly. I feel so bad for the families left behind. Only goes to show you that we never know when our time is going to be up.

Dave - I don't care for crust on the bottom of a pot pie either , but I either use biscuits or stuffings on top. I don't particularly care for regular crust on top either.

Karen - I do hope you took a picture of those cat crafts you made at church last night. That's something most groups would not think to do anything for. Did you get the torrential rain last night too? It must have poured here because there was water puddled on the lanai when I got up this morning. And of course, more is scheduled for today. Lucky us!!

Kathie - I was kind of confused about that walk in x-ray too. Glad you explained it for us. So what are you getting, or what did you get for breakfast for Art's early birthday treat?

Lee - Sorry you're getting rain, but I know you need some at this point. That was some long day for you and Lu-Ann between the length of the drive and then being in the office for 3 hours. You have a lot more patience than I do!

Nancy - Sounds like you were keeping busy yesterday cleaning off shelves. That's usually never a fun job.

Bert just came out of the bedroom, so I should tell him the good news on the changed appointment. I think I deserve a reward!! One last thing before I go though - I had a dream last night that I was playing a slot machine in a casino and I won an $18, 300. jackpot!! O can only wish. Mayne I need to buy a lottery ticket today. Hmmm ...

Have a great day, everyone, and stay dry

Good morning. Well first thing this morning got a call from the Dr's office that they have to cancel my appt for today because the person I was seeing is out sick. The earliest appt I could get is July 19 with the regular Dr instead of the Nurse Practitioner and since it is the appt after the test sticks we should set up for the actual procedure.

Pat, glad that you got a better appt for Bert.
Around here the Radiology Imaging locations have walk in for regular X rays. I am sure because the X Ray will show any fractures or breaks and that is info needed quickly.

Yesterday I got the 3rd shelve done so got all that I wanted to do done.

All have a great day.

BB: Took Art to the Pancake Factory close to our house after he got his blood test for next weeks physical. He had Peach filled Crepes and I had Cottage Cheese filled crepes with Blueberries on top. Both were good. The place was full and amazingly service was extra quick. As long as you don't get a OVEN type pancake, like the German or Apple pancake it's quick.

Its Raining Waiting GIF
STILL RAINING here! STEADY! Good day to do NOTHING!

BB: It would be nice if they gave Bert something for the pain he must be having. Hopefully he is drinking LOTS OF WATER. Flush things out of his system. Poor guy. Tell to hang in there.

Later gang.

Glad to hear that you were able to get an appointment with the doctor early next week but sorry that he still has that long a wait, since he is experiencing such discomfort. I'm not sure that the report from his hospital visit is much comfort. The fact that nothing has changed doesn't mean much if they still couldn't diagnose the cause of his problem. Hope the urologist can diagnose and remedy his situation.
I guess we are fortunate to live in an area which has so many excellent health facilities and lengthy waits for appointments, while they sometimes occur, seem to be the exception rather than the rule. Sorry that your eye doctor's visit took up so much of your day, Lee,but hope
it had a good outcome.
Mileage for my Prius had dropped considerably but yesterday I discovered the reason. One of the four relatively new tires that I purchased when we were in Florida, had almost gone flat and when I took the car to have it checked they determined that there was a problem with the sidewall and I needed a new tire. So, new tire is now on the car and the mileage is already improving. They checked the other three tires and found no problems so I am hopeful that this is my only maintenance cost for the immediate future.

Bill: So can you get anything back from the place you bought your tire while in Florida? If you used a credit card you might want to put in a claim and show them that you had to replace it way too soon. Good luck.

Still damp here, but so far the rain has stopped for now. Only 70F and no sun makes it chilly to sitting on the deck.

Off to make us some dinner.

WOW....64F degrees. Brrr. So far it's not raining.

We have a church service to be at 9:15 a.m. this morning. The Bishop is in town and it's always a longer service when he's here. UGH. He's here to bless the land that was bought for a proposed future church. It's 4 miles from our house, but way too many of us old timers are opposed to the property. Long story.
I am going to sing in church, but NOT going to the blessing of the land.

You all have a wonderful day. Be back later.

I see you're up bright and early, K2.

Not much to gab about this morning. It was a quiet day around here yesterday.

As for this date, I believe it was just last year Roe V Wade was overturned. That sure went over like a lead balloon. That and the private behavior of some of the Supreme Court judges sure has made the trust in that court nosedive this past year.

A bit of random showers is in our forecast. No big storms like is taking place across the U.S.

I'll tell you one thing, somebody is making a fortune selling those blue tarps people put on their damaged roofs.

For future use BB, I hope you remembered the type of slot machine that paid out $18,000 to you in your dream.

Good morning;
Ya, not much from this neck of the woods today.
As I peck away at the keyboard I'm listening to "Sounds of Summer - Hawaii" on Sirius. We gotta get back there.
We were supposed to do a candlelight walk / tour of Fort Malden last night but the rain put a
kibosh on that little outing. More rain and possibly thunder throughout today and tomorrow.
Hopefully Bill you have some recourse for the tire. Sidewalls usually aren't covered unless it's a structural defect though.
Have a "blessed time" at your church service today Kathie. As I like to say, sing like nobody is listening.
It cracks me up when a doctor is out sick Nancy. How many patients patience will be tested while they wait for another appointment?
I can't imagine what poor Bert is going through while he waits for an appointment Pat. You'd think that they may have a little consideration for the man who went in to have his plumbing looked at and came out with a new hip! How are YOU doing with everything going on? (((HUGS))) headed your way.
I'm always amazed at the number of those tarps we see in our community in Florida Dave. But all of the homes are at that point that the shingles need replacing.
Lu-Ann has to wear a mouthguard at night because she grinds her teeth. Do they make little tiny ones that would fit Scooter Karen? ;)
Well, for a guy that said there wasn't much goin' on I've certainly rambled on.
Everyone have a great, great Saturday.

Good morning! Got distracted this morning reading about all that's going on in Russia right now. All I can say is WOW!!

Dave - That's the sad part - I don't remember what type of slot machine it was. I just remember that the hit the "big one" you had to have 5 reels line up. It's been so long since I've been in a casino, I don't even know what kind of machines they have any longer. I do know that they have 1 & 2 cent machines that, if you want to cover everything, it's going to cost a couple of bucks each pull! I much prefer the old 3 reel machines where you actually pulled the handle instead of pushing a button.

Kathie - I get the impression you're not keen on this new land location for your church. Why would they want to move it and what would they do with your beautiful existing church?
And STOP PICKING ON THE PEOPLE IN FLORIDA! You are supposed to feel sorry for us and not make us something to laugh about!!

Lee - I see you just popped in while I'm working on this post. Bert is definitely looking forward to his appointment on Tuesday to check out his "water works". He must have been up 5 times during the night to use the bathroom! Kept waking me up too. Lately he has taken to taking an afternoon nap due to being so tired. Then he gets mad that I fall asleep watching TV every evening. He obviously doesn't undertand that I get tired too.

Nancy - Happy race watching!

The gang came over for dinner last night. Jimmy manned the grill to cook 3 different types of sausage - chicken, turkey and hot Italian. We still have enough left for tonight or tomorrow night's dinner. I had done the peppers & onions in the house earlier. That's the one thing I may have to make more of. as they ate almost all of what I made.

Nothing going on around here today. Hopefully, I'll finally get a chance to get out on the lanai for a little while to check all my plants. Aside from having dinner out there a few nights ago, I haven't been out there in over 3 weeks!! I've been relying on others to water the plants and herbs, so I have no idea what they look like.

Time for a cup of coffee and to read the newspaper. Have a wonderful Saturday, everyone, no matter what you're doing!

Did I hear, hot Italian sausage with peppers and onions?

Another quiet day here yesterday. Hope it's the same today.

I was watching a show yesterday about foods, and they mentioned the Oscar Mayer company. Bringing up their jingle and the Weinermobile. It reminded me of how stupid some companies can be by changing something that doesn't need to be changed. A while ago they change the name of the Weinermobile to Frankmobile. Dumb, dumb and more dumb. Well they can rebrand it all they want, but the public is STILL going to call it the Weinermobile.

And that's it for my deep thinking this morning.
