Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Good evening. Well it has taken all day for the right hand swelling to go down and it hurts. Have not put any wrap or brace on since I got up.

At the Dr's I was surprised that she was happy with my Cholesterol numbers, so will stay on the med she gave me 3 months ago. She was not happy about my A1C or glucose so she said to instead of taking 1/2 a day to start taking a full pill every day, hopefully the numbers will go down. And since I told her about my breathing she gave me try size of Anoro, the Rx name of Breztri and to let them know if it helps, if so then she will send in a Rx for it for me. IF not then she can give me something else. I asked her about the MRI for my abdomen and since she wants to see me in 6 weeks she will put in the order then. I don't have to have it done until Oct.

I started with a student working there and will say she was very good about how my numbers were and asking questions. I am wondering if she is actually working toward getting her NP status.

Lee, the race was pretty good, they had to call it though due to rain but they had run more than half the race.

After the Dr's I went to the bank to do my IRA disbursement for the year. Of course since I decided to take from one account it gave me a small amount to take, but I had done the calculation of how much when I add the two accounts together and this year I did have them hold back for taxes. Was not able to do it at the bank but got the phone number to call and they would walk me thru doing it online and it really was easy.

All have a good night.

Holy Cow! Did everyone go to Chicago with Kathie?

Perhaps being VBS a prayer may be more in order? ;)
Very much in order Lee! And very much needed, but I did make it thru the 1st night of VBS in 1 piece. I have 5 kiddo's in my crew, I am supposed to have a teen helper but they were not there tonight for some reason. I'm thinking possible the weather kept people away as we had heavy rain off & on all day. It was fun but I will be taking an aleve tonite for sure, lot's of singing, dancing & jumping around but the kids loved it!

And so the question is....Did you survive unscathed from VBS, KC? Please tell me that the rug-rats didn't have you locked in a closet all day. I see that you did. You are so right about weeds, they have more lives than cats. And I don't think there is a single one of us who hasn't flooded our bathroom, at one time or other. And now you are going to have to make some floor repairs.

Good thing your mower's battery runs out once in a while Lee. No need to make up an excuse so you can take a break. NOW I see why you like Buster Poindexter's version of "Hot, Hot, Hot". That wouldn't be wine he's drinking, would it?

BB; I saw on the news last night that parts of Florida went over 100 degrees yesterday. Did that include your humble home? I don't think I've ever been on a cruise where they didn't play "Hot, Hot, Hot". Hopefully good news at the Cardiologist.

Lucky me, this morning I get to go to a doctor to find out the results of a recent CT scan. A simple 10 minute phone call would save me all that running around.

Our lawn crew sure was busy here yesterday. First the grass got cut, then they trimmed all the bushes and hedges inside the white fence and then trimmed all the other bushes around the house including one crab-apple tree. They took half a day to do it, while it would have taken me a week. Everything looks a LOT better.

Good morning, another dark rainy day here in Belleview! Pretty sure I saw one of my neighbors building an ark in their back yard/

Pat, hope you got a good report from the Cardiologist yesterday! Not sure if I answered your question, but VBS is at night from 5:30-8, they even feed the kids & helpers dinner.

Dave, it's amazing how much a crew of lawn guys can get done compared to what us old folks can do. I don't think our lawn crew is going to make it today, it's rained a couple times this morning & is raining/rumbling now.

Kathie, hope you made it home safely from your trip to the big city.

Lee, longer lasting human batteries are not always a good thing, I am learning to slow down & pace myself a bit more as I get older. Before I used to plow thru a job just to get it done & then be sore & worn out later.

Not much going on here today I managed to get a few shrubs trimmed in back but that's about it. The forecast for tomorrow's pool party isn't looking to promising, but we might get a quick swim in between showers. Games will probably be inside again tonite too. Off to have another cup of coffee

Hello Wrabbits. We’re back.

Road trip was good. Traffic, mainly semi-trucks, rule the hwy!
Made it there without any anxiety sitting in the back seat. Whew.
My brother is slowly shrinking and looks much thinner than the last visit. Has some WITTY remarks every so often. It was good to see him.
Saw my SIL and she looked much better than she sounds over the phone.
Sold their home and is living with her daughter. She is walking around slowly, which is like a miracle for all she has been through. Has big issues with her Kidneys and heart. Feel badly for both of them.

Got home and a few hours later got the dreaded call that our lifetime friend Ronnie passed away yesterday afternoon. He fought a good fight, but his body just couldn’t handle the blood infection and pneumonia that he developed after his fall in the shower. He was diabetic and that didn’t help him either.
Art has been asked to be a Pallbearer. Funeral is Friday. Will be buried in a Military Cemetery here in Michigan. We have had other Service choir members buried there. Very nice area.
So I’m goi g to take some time away from the Bunny board to get my act together for what’s coming up. This is going to be a really tough few days for our close-knit choir and church. Ronnie was well loved by all. One fine man.
Be good to each other and thank you in advance for all your thoughts and prayers.
The heavenly Choir just got a new member.

Kathie - Welcome home, but sorry to hear about the passing of your friend. You know we will be keeping you both in our thoughts and prayers as you go through the difficult days ahead.

Good late morning, gang! So far by us the sun is shining, but that's definitely going to change soon. There was a special weather statement that right now, even as I type, we were supposed to begetting a severe thunderstorm with damaging winds & torrential rain. Not sure where that came from, because as I said, the sun is shining here right now.

Got a great report from the cardiologist yesterday. He said my heart has shown a vast improvement since the last ECHO cardiogram. Most everything was in the normal range this time and that's a good thing. I don't have to see him again until after our mini cruise.

Oops, I spoke too soon. I just heard thunder!

Karen - Glad you made it though your first night of VBS. The question still to be answered is whether you'd volunteer to do it again next year. Time will tell. Definitely a good idea to pace yourself on chores. No big rush to get things done these days.
Dave - Nice that you got all your bushes trimmed. We should be so lucky. Our new lawn guy doesn't trim bushes. He has a guy who was supposed to get in tough with us, but hasn't so far. One of these days we'll be getting a letter from the HOA that our bushes are all overgrown. That's not going to make us very happy.
I love that version of Hot Hot Hot too. Here's another cruise ship favorite and one that is especially close to my heart -

Just spent the last hour on a call to Kohl's customer service. I bought an electric meat slicer yesterday online and today I saw that the price had dropped $40. I wasn't going to let that get by. Got my refund, so I'm a happy camper.

Hi to everyone I missed just now. Time for some lunch. I see I missed getting this posted before noon by 2 minutes!! Good afternoon!!!

Pat, that is great news from the heart Dr! Keep drinking that red wine!:emoticon 0137 clapping: And to answer your question about VBS, yeah, I'll probably volunteer again next year it's only 1 week out of a year I think my poor ole body can survive that.

Good afternoon.
Welcome home Kathie. It does sound like you had a grand trip to see George and family. Until, that is, you got the call about your friend. Prayers and condolences to you.
That is fantastic news Pat. A glass of red, red wine is the perfect way to celebrate.
Back yard arks are never a good sign Karen. I hope they approached the HOA for a variance. ;)
I couldn’t get your tune to load Dave. But I have a pretty good idea what tune it is. And I think he’s enjoying a martini on that album cover.
After getting Ava to The Navy Yard Lu-Ann headed off with Gail to pick up some olive oil and vinegar at one of those “foo-foo” oil and vinegar shops. That left me free to trim, weed and cut the front yard. Then get Subie to the car wash. Head to the hardware store for a couple of things. Tidy Subie’s interior a tad. Hit the stationary bike for 35 minutes, vacuum the rec room and sit down.
I know Lu-Ann is going to ask what I’ve been up to. My reply will be like “Oh, nothin’ much…”
Hi to everyone else and please folks, have a good safe day.

Happy to see you home all safe and sound, K2. Still can't believe you made the trip in the back seat. Sad for you to see your brother and his wife in their weakened conditions. And then get home to be notified of the death of a dear old friend.

Well that's cool KC that your church furnishes dinner for the kids and workers at VBS. It's nice to hear that you've learned to pace yourself when doing a project.

BB; I loved your video of "Red Red Wine". I cranked up the sound on that one. You sure can can't complain about getting that $40 refund AFTER you bought that meat slicer. Did the severe thunderstorm, damaging winds, and torrential rain ever materialize? Happy that the report on your ticker was excellent.

It's funny Lee how when we post a video often not everyone can get it to work on their computer. A "foo-foo oil and vinegar shop"? I've never heard of such a thing.

Are you getting any of this flooding, Bill?

Off to the groomers for the pooches this morning.

Good morning! First day in ages I am looking out my window & see blue skies & sunshine, whooppeee!! We may get a pool day in for Jane's birthday after all!
Woke up at 5:30 this morning & could not go back to sleep, I think it's going to be a loooong day. Later gang, I got party stuff to get ready

Good morning!

Mostly cloudy here right now. There's a "slight" chance of t-storms this afternoon. Glad we're not planning to go out until later this evening for music bingo at the Grille. Bert's got PT around 4 this afternoon. Between now and then, we might just bake some cookies which Bert has been begging for.

Karen - Right now it looks like you're going to get lucky with Jane's birthday and pool party. Good for you for making it through day 2 of VBS, but admit to us that you come home afterwards and have a good stiff drink!

Dave - never got that severe thunderstorm they were calling for. We got a couple of drops of rain and that was it. We were able to go spend some time out on the lanai in the afternoon before starting dinner. Being it was taco Tuesday, guess what we had for dinner ... tacos, of course. We had Wesley, Nate & Jennifer over for dinner and the best part is that we still have leftover for another night. I was so happy when I was able to get that $40. refund on the slicer. It was well worth the effort it took. Now I just have to wait until it gets delivered next week to see if I got a good buy.

Kathie - Getting yourself settled in from your mini vacation? Still keeping you in my prayers as you go through the next couple of days.

Lee - We don't have any "froo froo" oil and vinegar shops near us. The closest we get is the oil & vinegar aisle at Public!!! LOL Gourmet shopping at it's finest!

Have a happy hump day, everyone!

A very late good morning. Been busy this morning, cleaning out a basket I have on my table in the living room.

Yesterday was not a good day. My left arm hurt so much and I could hardly lift it, had Bruce rub the gel from my elbow up to the neck and this morning it is feeling better, so of course the right wrist is hurting a lot.

I had to go to Publix for Rx's yesterday and since I was hurting so much I bought the fried chicken and a couple of salads. Noy sure what for today.

All have a great day.

So far the flooding problems have pretty much been confined to areas north and west of us and we haven't suffered the heavy rainfalls that those areas have experienced. Saw pictures on the news of downtown Montpelier, Vermont under water and unreal photos of roads that have collapsed.
Cribbage last night was a mixed bag. We played two matches and the first one had its usual poor results with us only taking two of the five games and finishing 7- 4. The second match went much better and we won 4 of the five games, getting 9
points to our opponents 2. Hope it is a sign of better nights ahead.
Glad you found a reason to celebrate with some red wine, Pat, though I suspect that you don't really need a reason in order to have some red wine.
Two down, three to go, Karen. Hope your helper shows up but I am sure you can handle things without one.
Back to back PT sessions this week and I have to head out soon. Progress is slow but I think I am seeing some.

Good evening. Well I did a bit of straightening up today. Am waiting for a call from a place about an appt for a breathing test. I guess they are getting things set with insurance first.

All have a good night.

Things didn't work out right tonight. First of all the AC was out at the Grille. So hot and stuffy. Then we finally got word that the guy who does music bingo had a family emergency and couldn't be there tonight. BUMMER!!! Otherwise we wouldn't have gone there tonight. Sometimes sh*t happens, so we have to be flexible. Now we're home and it's time for another glass of vino and to fined something to watch on TV. See ya in the morning!

3 down, 2 more to go! 6 kiddo's again tonight & still no helper, Rev. Lisa told me this morning the helper had been out of town but would be there tonight, not sure what happened but I kind of doubt we'll see her at all this week now.
Got to spend several hours at the pool today, had a brief rain shower but after that it was nice & sunny. Everyone left around 4 and when Jane got home she found out her well/pump had quit working again. This is the 3rd yr in a row something has gone wrong with at about the same time of year, not a very Happy Birthday present. I took her 2 gallon jugs of water after church tonight & the well guy is coming tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be an expensive fix. Off to bed, tomorrow is another day

Good Thursday morning, Wabbits!

After Kathi takes one of the granddaughters to band-camp we'll be heading off to the smaller grocery store. Not much on our list. Today I want to check out the 2 snack isles for something different than what I usually choose. The other day we went there for some pop where I also picked up a couple more cartons of that lemon ice cream, for my stash.

Only 2 more days of herding the midgets at VBS, KC. Before we know it, pretty soon you'll be teaching Sunday School there. Sometimes it sucks having a well.

So what kind of cookies did you make yesterday, BB? Hope you've got a storage spot for that new slicer.

Bill; Happy that you are getting results from your PT sessions, Sometime getting good results seem to take forever, but keep at it.

Busy doing,
"Oh, nothin' much..." yesterday Lee?

Thinking of you, K2.

Question of the day.; Do you keep your grape tomatoes in or outside of the frig?
