FINALLY!!! My internet hasn't been doing what it is supposed to do and is driving me nuts. GRRR ...

Karen - Glad you go those deviled eggs. I need to make some for Christmas. Nice of you to go caroling with your church group. Good luck at the dermatologist tomorrow morning.

Dave - Glad you like those lemon Oreo cookies. They do sound good. Might have to have Bert look for them.

Lee - Shorts on at that hour of the morning really would make people wonder what's going on. It's been too cool for shorts these mornings. At least it is warming up a little in the afternoon, but drops again once the sun goes down.

Kathie - So how's the PT going? Good I hope. It does take a bit longer for a knee to heal than a hip. Just keep doing whatever they want you to do.

I haven't been feeling that great the past few days. I see the pulmonologist tomorrow and hope she will give me some antibiotics to help clear up my lungs better. I know COPD isn't going to get any better, but I would like to keep it going as long as possible.

Had a nice surprise yesterday afternoon. Gary stopped by with Emily. We hadn't seen her for about 10 months, so it was nice to see her. She will be back with Gary & Ethan on the 23rd to exchange Christmas gifts in the afternoon. And no, I will not be making any dinner for them.

Got Jennifer here today. School said that she is better off not coming back to school this week, so she doesn't catch anything else. Rare instructions from school these days.

I'm going to post this before I lose the internet again.

Gotta excellent PT workout this morning. Sore , but got good Kudos from the Tech. I’ve conclusion that giving birth to breech twins would’ve easier. Ha ha.

I want to tell Dave we have those lemon filled Oreos. And they are EXCELLENt

Talk tomorrow. Took a sleeping pill and it’s kicking in. Nite all.

Have no fear K2, our new clothes washer will be the good old-fashioned kind. Top loader with a centered agitator. No 20 different cycles you'll never use. I know what you mean about those low-boy toilets. How do you wake up without coffee? Those lemon Oreos are habit forming. Happy that you like them.

There ya are, BB. I was beginning to worry. Lots of luck with your internet......and anything else that's electronic. Hope your pulmonologist fixes you up today.

Happy to hear KC that your new church is keeping you busy and happy. Fulfilled is another good word. Can't remember the last time I had some deviled eggs.

Yes Lee, It sure is mild for the middle of December. Lu-Ann sure has to juggle a lot of balls in the air with all her meds and specific PD exercises.

Hmmm. Still very dark. Well of course it is. It’s 5:30.
When we got our washer when we moved it was the “new” style with no center agitator. I thought for sure it was the work of the devil! A far cry from the wringer washer grandma had in the basement when I was a wee lad.
I think that we’re all behind you Kathie! You too Pat. Keeping up with the demands of “therapy” of any kind needs dedication to set aside the time to do it. I am proud that my current 30 minute (minimum) exercise streak is 766 consecutive days.
Ah, technology Pat. Great when it works but oh so frustrating when we have a glitch. I hope you get to feeling better.
Have a fantastic Thursday everyone.

Good morning. Well the keyboard stand is coming in today and also a package from Walmart and Weather Tech. I will make the last of the rum cakes today and will start soon. Need to go to Publix later for a Rx and get subs for us for dinner. Later will call the Dr about hopefully getting an appt for Monday for review of x-Rays.

Today is completely overcast, very windy and high chance of rain.

All have a great day.

MAMA BUNNY IS BACK IN Hotel CELEBRATION. She sent me a text that I just saw at 7:00 pm (Thurs).
Bert took her in last night from what she said for breathing issues.
Big prayers needed Wrabbits.

I had another SORE BUSY day. Oh how I wish I could fall asleep in the daytime. I did try!
Got a REAL SHOWER IN earlier. Beats a sponge washing any day.

I need to get off this iPhone and elevate this EGGPLANT colored leg. It’s unbelievable how bruised it is.

Please take care of each other. Hugs to all.

Lee and others ….fud you happen to catch the special on 20/20 Channel ABC.
Disney 100. From the beginning of developing Mickey, Snow White etc. Walt died at 61 yrs old in 1966. He never saw his dream of “Disney World” becoming a reality. :crying:

Hello to those I missed!

I said it before when Momma Bunny went in to the hospital…DAMN. :(
Big hugs and prayers headed to her, Bert and the rest of the family.
Thank you for letting us know Kathie. You take care too.
We missed that special but I’m sure it will be streaming on Disney+.
Time to say G’nite.

DOGGONE IT! BB back in the hospital.

Thanks for the heads up, K2. Any other information about her would be greatly appreciated too.

So happy that you are continuing with your physical therapy, which pays off in the end. It would be so easy to slack off because you're sore, and not feeling your best. I'm curious, do you have a compression sock on your "EGGPLANT" colored leg? Getting a "REAL SHOWER" must have felt marvelous. Didn't watch the Disney special but recorded it.

Lee; You are the BEST example on why sticking with an exercise program pays off. You went through one miserably horrid episode with your ticker problems. And look at you now, more than capable in your physical abilities. Hope you get more sunshine today like we are. This day after day of sunny but cool days is nutsy for this time of the year.

Hiya KC, church keeping you busy today?

So Bill, what has your orthopedic surgeon decided needs to be done?

Decent day around here yesterday. Not only sunny but our Nephew/Contractor and his helper picked up our new clothes washer and installed it. Plus taking the old one away. Took them less than 1/2 an hour to get it in the basement, up, and operating. The appliance store we use couldn't deliver it till January. It's still having a hard time finding delivery guys.

It's funny how you just know the familiar sounds in your house. From normal creaking to the sounds that appliances make. This new washer sounds nothing like the old one did. It's gonna be a while till I don't notice it anymore.

Had a nice surprise. My new Skechers Slip-Ins arrived a couple of days early. I am very pleased with them. Very comfy. One nice thing about them is how light they are. Didn't expect that. Much less weight than a pair of Nike or New Balance.

We're all thinking of you BB. Hope they fix you up soon and send you home to your own bed.

Good Friday morning.
Remember when Friday used to signal the end of the work week?
Lemon Oreos, new washer AND new shoes! Somebody’s “livin’ large” in the hutch. All kidding aside Dave, glad things are all good. I can’t get over how light they are able to make some shoes these days. You are right (as usual) about “house sounds”.
4:45! I thought it was at least an hour later. I’m gonna try to get a little more sleep here.
Please, each and every one of you be careful out there. As Christmas approaches people are even more distracted. Don’t know about your areas but Covid is on the rise here so, maybe, keep a mask close by if you’re indoors in crowds.
Now turn off those reading lights and go back to sleep.

Good morning. Only 10 days to Christmas. Yesterday received the keyboard stand, I saw the delivery truck so went to the door and had the guy hand it to me since I knew it would be a bit heavy, then of course had a hard time getting back in the house, but got it to my bed and wrapped. After Bruce got home had him move it out to the living room.

Made the last of the rum cakes, so now Bruce can start to deliver most of them.

Called the Dr's and got an appt for Monday to go over the X-Rays and the appt is with the NP that I like and usually see. And I am sure she will get going on setting up the referral.

Went to Publix to get a RX and got the one I thought I would get today and the one I thought I would get yesterday I will get today. I bought us each a Turkey Cranberry sub so we had half last night and will have the other half for lunch. I forgot to get a gift card for the mail lady so will do that today.

Bruce has one gift he bought coming in today, just hope I can lift the box.

Hope that Pat is not in the hospital too long.

All have a great day.

Quick Good Morning to my Wrabbit family.
(Feel really bad that one of our Wrabbits is back in the hospital. Hope they can help our gal get better quick) COPD is not easy)

KAREN: You're first up on my list! I know you're busy and I'd don't want to "bug" you, just want to make sure you're healthy and doing whatever you have on your LONG LIST of things to do. Hope little Scooter is still holding his own and aiming for the Christmas tree to get in trouble. Also, hope your sisters are well.
That said, how's things at the church? Any Christmas Brunch/Lunch/After Service buffets planned around the holiday at the church? I've seen a lot of churches making the blankets you tie the ends up and assembling sandwiches to take to the Homeless Shelters around our Detroit area. Always a nice thing even though it takes a lot of organizing to get it to work out right. Just wanted to let you know I miss you. :emoticon 0152 heart:

Dave:
Washer installed and working it doesn't get any better than that. BLESS your Nephew for taking care of his Uncle! (and yes, I know you pay him well) It's just knowing he can take care of your needs faster than the local appliance store and gets the job done well on top of it.
I don't think that fella would ever see any COAL in his Christmas Stocking.
Can't wait to hear if you like your new shoes~

Lee: Keep up the good work on exercising. That's a nice number of days you have going, don't be breaking the chain. 766+ is fantastic.
Hard to believe Dave actually got on these boards today SOONER than you did. You guys are so lucky to be able to go back to sleep after getting up and even posting on these boards! :emoticon 0136 giggle:

Bill: Hope the weather isn't as bad as the weather man is showing on TV news by you. Stay safe and inside. You're too close to leaving for your Winter retreat to get blown away by a storm. How was the Dr's appt?

Okay, I have taken way too much time I need to get a 1/2 pain pill down my throat and try to put on REAL CLOTHES. They don't let you come to PT in a robe. :lol04:

If BB sends me ANYTHING I promise to pass it on. Usually she just let's us know she's IN or on the WAY HOME.

Be safe and enjoy the SUNSHINE GOD has sent our way today!

Seems like everyone is busy today!
Lee: Check out this market that just opened Thursday, 12/14 in Bradenton, FL.

Make sure to click on the PHOTOS tab. Unreal store and prices! I know it’s a long ways from where you guys are staying to go for groceries, but just had to share! Karen, you take a look too! Reminds me of that Buckies Gas Station everyone talks about Just that it’s groceries, fruits, veggies, meat & fish, bakery etc.
I we were at Longboat Key we’d take the ride to see it just for a day excursion! Ha ha.

Detwiler’s Farm Market, Bradenton, FL.

Can’t seem to get the URL link to show up. Just do a google and then hit PHOTOS when you get to their mew store.

Good afternoon!

Kathie, I'm here, I posted Wed. afternoon but you probably missed cause it was on the previous page. But yep, church is doing a pretty good job of keeping me occupied!

Lee, that streak of exercise days is pretty impressive and probably a prime reason you are still registering & running in Disney marathons!

Pat, I know you have a hard time getting Bert to feed you at home, but the food at Celebration can't possibly be that good! Seriously though, hope the stay is a short one and you are feeling better soon!

Dave, getting a washer with the agitator is no small achievement these days, most of them come without. Nice that the nephew was able to get it delivered & hooked up so quickly for you. Hope the new sketchers help keep you up & walking too.

Bill hope you have no major plans for the weekend, the weather "people" keep saying the ugly wind & rain that is supposed to hit Fl. this weekend will be traveling up the East coast. Course they've been saying it's going to rain here for several days & so far nothing!

Dermatologist visit went well yesterday, she mentioned a bit of "fungus" on my back & asked if I wanted her to give me a prescription for it. I said no, I didn't even know it was there & it isn't bothering me. I'm sure if it does start to itch I can pick up something at the drug store for a lot less $$
Went to UPS this morning & sent off a small package of gifts to my brother & niece, less than 5# and it still cost $15 to ship it. Next year we plan to tell them that unless they are coming up for Christmas we are not exchanging gifts. Half the time my brother sends us money or gift cards & we send him the same, so what is the point, just keep the money & buy what you want.
Got most of the presents wrapped for my sister's, waiting on a couple stocking gifts for Barb and then I will be all done!
I ordered me a new smaller 1 cup coffee maker from Walmart & it was delivered a little while ago, I ran the hot water thru it to clean it, now I think I'm going to make me a nice cup of coffee. You can either use the k-cup pods or it has a filter you can use your own coffee, not bad for $20

Just stopping by to say it’s been a productive day.

Karen I cringe when I would mail things to God Children out of town. Glad they’re grown up and we don’t exchange anymore. My brother and I don’t exchange x-mas gifts. I make him some Serbian cookies and my sister-in-law gets a useful easy going simple gift. This year it was one of those square kitchen wipe up that are made from some-kind of paper that EXPANDS when you first wet it. They last for truly a LONG TIME. I even bleach it to make sure it’s not yucky! :D It’s thin and squeezes out really well. Wow…that was one long explanation.

Sure hope our MAMA BUNNY is doing better. I totally worry about her. :emoticon 0152 heart:
Okay out of here for tonight. Good sleeping to all. :sleep2:

Hoping you're feeling better and will be home soon, BB.

Who says you can't wear a robe to PT, K2??? Obviously you haven't been to Walley World lately. Yes I'd recommend the Skechers Slip Ins. (As I mentioned in yesterday morning's post.) I just figure you were speed reading again or those pain medications made you forget.

Lee, you mentioned "house sounds". Sounds OUR house makes that we don't even notice. It's still tuff for me to imagine people who live by railroad tracks who never notice when a train goes by. Just normal background noise.

KC; You and Kathi both were off shipping packages yesterday. Christmas sure has snuck up on us. The price of shipping sure has skyrocketed. Heck, some times we mail off a box where the shipping price costs more than what we're shipping.

I'm outta here.

Oh yea....Willing to share that pain medicine K2? :)

Oh dopey me. I’ve been up for ages and forgot to check in here! They say the memory is the second thing to go. I can’t remember the first! And who are you good people?
We were on a cruise sitting at the coffee shop early in the morning. A woman old enough to, we thought, know better came wandering down The Promenade in her fuzzy slippers and robe. So Kathie, I reckon a robe would have been just fine for your physio. ;)
We often delete things in our online cart when we see the shipping costs Dave. Especially from The US to Canada. You are spot on when you say the shipping is a much if not more than the goods you’d like to order. When we moved to Ayr, which was a rural community, the sound that visitors always seemed to notice was the quiet! That and the mooing cows that were about 1/4 mile due south.
I’m liking your plan for today Karen. Too bad you couldn’t email the smells of fresh baking.
I best get Lu-Ann and Ava moving if we want to go to The Park. We’re pup sitting Peachy from about 10:00 this morning until dinner time tomorrow.
Good thoughts and prayers to our Pat. Her increasingly frequent visits to Celebration Health and Country Club concern me.
THIS JUST IN…Peachy is not coming. The folks who were hosting the party Doug and Brenda were going to have tested positive for Covid. That’s four people we know in the past week.
Well, time to grab a coffee and rearrange our day.
Please take care out there friends.

Good morning. It is supposed to rain here almost all day, had some earlier and it is windy but that is all right now.

A couple of packages are supposed to get delivered today. A number of years ago we quit exchanging gifts with my brother and family, and Bruce's brother and sister. So we don't have to ship any gifts. Just take most at Thanksgiving and a few at Christmas.

It would be nice to hear how Pat is doing and going home.

All have a great day.
