Good Morning Wrabbits!

We survived the storms here in our area. Only got thunder around 2sm and wind. Parts of Michigan did report tornados.
We got lucky.

Dave I saw an area in Ohio got hit with a tornado. Goid to know you did okay.

Gotta run for now. Haircut appt!

Have a good day. Be back later

Good morning. Well the boat is gone, but when I pulled the title out of the envelope it was the original title from the guy we bought the boat from so today I will look again for the Fl title.

Last night I booked us a cruise for Oct. It is a 5 night but that is okay. IT has ports that Bruce wants to go to.

Temp here today is supposed to be 80+ so I put on shorts.

All have a great day.

Tried shutting down the computer and it clearly didn't help. Oh well, I guess everyone will get to exercise their eyes if they want to read my golden prose.
What ship have you and Bruce booked, Nancy? Are the ports that Bruce wants to go to, ones you have visited before, or new and different ones for you? I'm thinking that a five night cruise is fairly limited to the Bahamas and the closest Caribbean islands like Turks and Caicos, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, or San Juan/St.Thomas. Bimini was a new one for us last year but there are only a few islands in the Caribbean that we have yet to visit.
Even before this week's warmer temperatures I have been wearing shorts but then I am supposedly a "rugged New Englander".
Glad to hear that you missed that worst of the bad weather that your part of the country experienced, K2. Did it affect the turnout for your elections? Haven't even turned on the news today to find out the results, not that they are likely to change anything.
Too nice a day to waste it at the keyboard, so have a great day everyone.

We are going on Carnival Freedom from Port Carnival to Grand Turk and Bimini. We have been to both. Grand Turk a few times and Bimini once when you took The Superfast from Miami to there and they had only recently opened the casino and resort.

All have a good night.

Bill, I had trouble with my computer again, did everything that I could which is very little and it didn't help. Called in the professional and he said when the lines were updated with fiber optics, the fiber optics wasn't working with my computer. At least it wasn't my fault.
We have been getting possible tornado warnings. Dave, K2 and I don't live that far apart weather wise so they probably got the same warning we did. We got some very heavy rain last night, as usual, slept right thru it, it may have been the same storm that you got K2 and Dave. It will take more than a rain storm to wake me up.
My favorite cruise, to the caribean in mid February when it is the coldest h ere, Nancy, I am almost counting t he days when it will be 80 here.
What is this???"Cruise Addicts Message Board Forums would like your permission to enable push notifications." letting us know when one of us post?
I always liked Odi, especially when he pulled one over on Garfield.
Dave, I mentioned this to Fay, got the same response when I give her one of my very inteligent ideas. Mike; It's the showers that is making us shrink in height. We should be dry-cleaned.

lee, so thsi is what is causing my problem. Guys, I attribute the fact that I too am getting shorter to a distinct lack of hair on the top of my head that added to my height. I do believe that the earth’s gravity is increasing causing me to “appear” to weigh more. Thanks for the heads up.

All of these high temps everyone is having and our high today I think was 37.

I have and old 66 yearrMotorrolla???? HiFi. It still plays beautifully with a fantastic sound, especially it the volumn is turned up.

Is today considered "Leap Year Day"???

A "not much anything to gab about" day.

Yesterday morning at 9AM it was 60 degrees. By 9PM it was in the lower 20's. That'll get your attention.

Eye test went well yesterday, so it's a GO for getting the cataract out of the other eye in less than 2 weeks. Still amazed and grateful for how much brighter and colorful my vision is in the eye that was fixed recently. (Day after the Super Bowl.)

I too watch "The Daily Show", Lee. Only wish that Jon Stewart was on it more than Monday's. I liked the picture you posted, but what exactly is it of? I can't believe they can charge a bit over 28 bucks for a burger, some fries, and a medium pop. Oh well, you guys enjoy your vacation. I'm normally a cheap bastard during the year, but when we're on vacation I'll spend like crazy. Which is why, now we only book suites on cruises. Go big or stay at home.

Yes K2, most of the nasty weather that went through Ohio yesterday was in the southern part of the state. Around Columbus.

Find that 12 year old yet Bill to increase the size of your posts? It's getting tough to read your "golden prose".

Mike; And they keep telling us these computers are user-friendly.

Not much on our agenda today. The only thing I really want to get handled is a trip to Giant Eagle for a bunch of soda-pop. (The larger grocery store.) They've got a sale going on for the pop we like which is, buy 1 two liter and get 2 free.

Phlash Phelps on 60’s Gold on SiriusXM has been talking about the wild temperature swings that a couple of you fine folks have confirmed. Crazy, crazy weather.
Good news from the doc Dave. I suspect that you are looking forward to getting the other eye done now. The picture was taken at Disney Springs at about 6:30 p.m.
Before we moved to Amherstburg, Bell had fibre optical cable installed throughout our old neighbourhood Mike. I can’t tell you how many folks encountered issues with old electronics and new technology.
Like you Bill, I had been in shorts before this warmer weather arrived. I also spent an unusual number of days and especially evenings in long pants.
How’d the haircut go Kathie? I suspect that with you not drinking coffee a trip to Starbucks on the way home wasn’t on the agenda.
Hoping all is well with your thumb Karen. A little rest probably wouldn’t be bad for it!
We’re off to Disney’s Polynesian Village for breakfast and a press pot of pure Kona coffee.
Have a super and safe Thursday!

Good Morning Wrabbits!

All “LEAPER’s” have a fun Leap Year birthday.
I do have a friend that was born on Leap Year. He celebrates on Feb 28th.

Dave: That’s a nice SALE on the Pop! Stock up!
We don’t use Pop fast enough here to ever buy The Liter bottles of Pop.

LEE: We had a 50 degree DROP in temps last night. Crazy.
It’s 22F right now this morning!

I’ll be waiting for the COMCAST service person to come from 10 am - 12pm window of time. We’re getting pixelation of the picture. It’s like a distorted picture that blurs the picture on the screen.
Comcast has sent s REFRESH signal that didn’t work.

Karen: How is Scooter doing these days? And hope your hand is better.

Lee: I hood you and Lu-Ann come home from breakfast and float around in the pool and work on your TANS!
And the haircut turned out good. NO STARBUCKS for me. I did stop at a local pastry shoppe and bought 2- danish’s and 2 croissants and it was $12 bucks. Crazy high prices. but do GOOD! :emoticon 0115 inlove:

Bill : You’re giving Dave a real EYE TEST with your posts. Ha ha. There has to be a way of fixing the TEXT SIZE ISSUE! Good luck!

Have a nice day all.

Good morning. I have just set up an appt with the hand Dr as both hands are causing problems.

I would go nuts with the huge temp drops that are happening for most of you.

Yesterday we went out to eat and started with going to Benihana's but last night to even sit in the bar they had a wait list as there was only one waitress so we did not do that and just went to Flanagan's. It has been in Stuart for well over 30 years and last night was our first time there. The food was very good and there was a lot so of course we brought home food for lunch.

Yesterday Bruce received a pressure washer he had ordered and there was a note with it that if you registered it you could get a gift of 5 nozzles so he asked me to do that today. I did and up pops a note that in order to ge the gifts you have to leave a review, so I left an honest short review.

Yesterday I booked a parking lot for our cruise and after doing so I realized the lot was far so I requested a cancelation and found one that is very close. I think it is the lot we had used the one other time we sailed from Canaveral. And late yesterday I received notice from the first that they had canceled so that is good. I also sent Bruce an email with some excursions for both ports and also said we can rent a gold cart and do our own thing.

All have a great day.

Not sure what I did or how I did it, but the icons are now clickable and size has been restored to more readable size. I did it just for you Dave, though when you get your second cataract operation it might not have been necessary.
We were in Bimini for the first time last year and enjoyed what little time we had there, Nancy,
Beach near where we were docked looked beautiful. We were also in Grand Turk for the first time while we were on our family cruise over Christmas, but it was late at night because the Adventure had to divert to there to offload a patient who had a medical situation that required him to be air lifted to Florida, so didn't really see anything but the dock and some lights in the distance.
The weather outside is much too nice to spend much time inside on this computer, so I will sign off for the time being.

We did enjoy breakfast Kathie. Then we took our coffee out to one of the outdoor seating areas just in time for an unscheduled “passing shower”. It’s cloudy now but 75F. Ellie, from Kissimmee Pools should be along shortly to take care of the pool so we’ll wait and then go work in our tans. I love a really good chocolate almond croissant.
Likely a case of planting your tongue firmly in the right spot in your cheek that reset the controls Bill. That always seems to work for me. I was looking over my “to do list” and one of the things I’ve yet to do is send you those two M&M’s I owe you. I have two addresses for you. One with a zip of 02333 and the other is 02370. If one of them is correct let me know which one and I can square up my debt.
I think it’s time for a cold adult beverage as Lu-Ann and I think about a little “pool therapy”.

YIPPEE!! Congrats on the fix Bill! Hope you didn’t have to go as far as this cartoon! Ha ha.

LEE: Fantastic day for you two. Nice that you can FINALLY work on those tans and get into to pool. Hope you jacked up the heat do it’s up to FR Dave’s warm standards. :)

Comcast never showed up today. I called them and they said “SOMEBODY” goofed. They’ll give it another try on Friday. I gave them my BEST “Jersey“ that BB taught me! Ha ha.

I made homemade Veggie Chicken soup and yummy Yeast Rolls for dinner. Yum.

Temps are going to keep RISING the rest of the week. It’s been sunny all day… thank goodness, but chilly

You all have a good day and PLEASE use SUNSCREEN.

I did the COVID test this morning and it was NEGATIVE. THANK GOODNESS!

Quick check in, been super busy between church & running to Home Depot & Lowes trying to decide on all the things I needed for the bathroom re-do. Contractor was supposed to come at 5 today, his wife messaged at 4:40 he was just leaving a job & would be a "little" late. I asked how late & she said he should be here by 5:15, I reminded her I had choir practice tonight & she said No problem it won't take him long. I thought about that for a few minutes & told her to just cancel my appointment. I had several questions & things I wanted to discuss with him & didn't want to be "rushed". She messaged back sorry, he didn't realize I was as far away from him as I am & to let them know my availability and she would re-schedule. That's not going to happen, if the guy can't show up on time for an estimate the odds are not good he'll show up for the job on time either. So back to square one, I may just decide to "live" with the current bathroom for a while longer.
Thumb is fine, I have no clue what I did. One of my nurse friends at church said it might be arthritis, but it quit hurting as quickly as it started.
Painting the master bedroom tomorrow so if I'm not on for a day or two I'm still painting

The times they are a changin.

Got a note from the older Lady who delivers our Massillon newspaper every day. (She's usually here every day at 5 AM of before.) It seems that as of the first of April it will no longer be delivered, but MAILED to us. Oh that's going to go over like a lead balloon. Sure, people are going to like drinking their morning coffee and reading news of a few days ago. NOT!

Or, they can read the paper on line.

Speaking of things in the news, it looks like there will be ANOTHER booster shot for Covid, for people 65 and older next September.

It seems that there was a big rush by couples to get married yesterday, on Leap Year Day. One lady on the news turned 100 yesterday, making her 25 years old.

Oh yea, Kathi needs some work on her flying skills. I've no idea what she was dreaming about, but she fell out of bed a couple of nights ago. Whacked her forehead on the nightstand on the way down to her landing. She sure looks like she's been in a fight. Got a big old black eye.

She needs a good story to go with that shiner.

I told her that if anyone asks me about it, I'm just going to say, "Well, she just wouldn't shut up!" :)

A humid start to this March 1st! Good morning.
Ouch! Poor Kathi. The problem with cracking a joke like you mentioned Dave is this day and age some “do gooder” would overhear that and report YOU to the local constabulary! Mailing a newspaper is just wrong. I can tell you that from my experience with The Woodstock Sentinel Review and Canada Post. But I won’t.

I simply don’t understand any contractor or service provider anywhere who can’t be on time or at least be courteous enough to give potential customers a heads up if they are going to be delayed. Seems that affected both you Karen and Kathie.
No Kathie, the pool sets the temperature at 92F for the spa and 88F for the main pool. That works just fine for us. Especially when some rental properties now charge upwards of $500 a month for pool heat and ours is included.
Not much else for now so we’ll check in later.
Everyone have a great Friday. Like the day of the week really matters to retired people. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Good MARCH 1st morning Wrabbits! 31F chilly degrees here now and suppose to get better.

Lee: With your Temps getting warmer the pool and spa should be just fine. Is there a cover for that pool? Just wondering how much $$$ was evaporating when it was so cold down there? Enjoy the warmth and don't forget the Sunscreen.

Karen: Good move on telling the "contractor" not to bother coming by. You are good at reading those guys and knowing when it's going to work and when it's NOT.
Throw in some "ME TIME" and give yourself some rest this weekend. Time to hit your pool at the club house.

I'm on COMCAST/XFINITY watch. They just sent me a reminder that my time frame is:
8:00 am - 10:00 am. Ha Ha. It's suppose to be 10:00 am - 12 Noon! Go figure. They still can't get it right.

Dave: Good luck with that paper coming in the mail. We gave up and get it ONLINE now. Art is the one who reads it, so it's no big deal to me. When we use to get it delivered, I would actually go through it. Hope you have a early mail delivery.

You all have a nice day. I'm off to get a cup of Lemon-Ginger Tea!

No plans for me today other than pick up a couple of things at Publix.

WELL, let's say the repair fella changed out a outside cable line that will need to get buried one of these days, did something to a cable wall outlet that was loose and said he will check back on Monday to see if over the weekend we still had "pixel" issues on the screen. Nice guy! TIME WILL TELL if it works better. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

I'm in the dining room with THOUSANDS of RECIPES that I have either printed off or typed out (back in the day of typewriters) doing a major SORT and PITCH.

I'll try and remember to take a picture of the table that is extended with 2 leafs to show you just how many pieces of papers I have saved. I want to be able to have categories so I don't have to go through tons of papers each time I'm looking for a recipe. My daughter will most likely throw all this away when I'm gone, but at least for now it will be in some type of order.
Amazing how many duplicates I have! Ha Ha.

Still COLD (42F) outside.......but VERY SUNNY! :emoticon 0128 hi:

Almost all of the pools here have had the pool covers taken away Kathie. Seems they were a “safety concern“ if a guest fell under them. If someone were stupid enough to fall under I would have looked at it as one more way for God to cull the herd. All rental properties now must have alarms on pool doors (we can shut ours off) and removable screen fences to block the pool from the deck. We roll them up and put in the garage until we leave.
I’m looking forward to seeing your “pile o’ recipes” photo. I know my Mom and Grandma had handwritten recipes everywhere! Most of Grandma’s were in her head.
Fingers crossed that your cable issues have been resolved.
Why yes, at 79F a little pool time would be nice. With a nice glass of wine.

I had to take a break from “recipe sorting!” Lordy, what a waste of good paper and ink! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Lee: Thanks for the pool update. It all makes sense. Safety first.
Hope you’re enjoying the warmth of the sun.

These pictures show that I need to enroll in 10 Step Program.

The “middle picture” are a stack of THROW-OUTS and the last picture still needs to get sorted! Crazy that I must have at least 50+ Chicken recipes.
I did find an envelope with a recipe from BB for a Hot Blackberry drink. I’ll be keeping that for sure.
