Mike: I’m glad you got to see the Bird houses. Somebody put in a lot of work.

Lee: Kudos to both of you for traveling to the airport. Never a fun drive.

My Eastern Market trip was GREAT. Hundreds upon hundreds of people. A total TOURIST TRAP these days. You shuffled behind folks and good luck if someone actually brought their handy dandy wagon to put their big purchases in. I got my bottle of Special 10 yr Anniv Bourbon from Detroit Distillery. They were actually giving out small samples of all their bourbons inside the bldg.
After walking around and not buying any flowers I drove about 1/2 mile to the Rehab center that Rick was transferred back to. I was just too close not to stop in and say hello. This man has a long haul in front of him before he can even WALK on his own, yet alone think of biking.

Karen: Did you start Miss Reba’s clean up yet or are you waiting for the garden hose & nozzle to come first?
Hope enough choir members show up for church on Sunday.
How’s the gal doing that had the surgery? Hope better each day.

Okay, I’m going to flood you with some of the pictures I took at the market. I just want to do it from the iPad so I can see them better. This iPhone is tiny! Ha ha.

Later! It sure was an extra special nice day outside today!

More market pictures! Ha ha. They have 7 huge buildings that they call SHEDS. That’s where the farmers and vendors set up their tables and or back their trucks into the space assigned them and people walk down the middle (looks like a street inside) and go from one Shed to another to buy fruits, veggies, eggs, flowers, etc. It use to be a place where folks would come and get fresh fruits & veggies back when I was 6 yrs old. Then it became a HAPPENING PLACE TO GO to just walk around as if you were a tourist.

Always a joy reading all your posts, Bunnies. And seeing your pictures.

Running low on energy this morning. So this won't be long.

We set a new record yesterday for somebody grabbing something that we put out at the end of the driveway.

For years, we've had this large green statue of a frog in the old pool area. That thing must weigh at least 60 pounds. But the weather has taken it's toll on "Fred" and he needed a new paint job. Kathi decided she didn't want to paint it again, but set it out at the curb instead. (It took both of us to drag it out there.)

Within 1/2 an hour, someone snatched it up.

Another nice start to the day.
Now Dave, as you and Kathie drive around the neighborhood, keep an eye out for a freshly painted frog in a garden or out for a yard sale! Better yet…call that junior senator fella from OH and tell him there’s a group of people stealing and eating pet frogs in Massillon! o_O
After a week where we had at least one thing going on every day this week looks (now I’ve jinxed it) like only a couple of medical appointments and a couple of other things. Bet by midweek we’ll be complaining about being bored…

Our LottoMax jackpot has reached its $80 million dollar cap. Plus they will have 18 $1 million dollar prizes. Yep, I’ve got my ticket!
I wonder how many cups of coffee and bottles of wine that would be? In every country we’ve ever wanted to visit.
Speaking of coffee, why yes, I’d love one. You all have a spectacular Sunday.

Enjoy the day!

Hope Karen adds us to her prayer list today at church. I'm skipping out from going!

Dave: Hope you perk up later today. At 5:50 a.m. it's hard to judge just how you'll feel later in the day! ;)

Later........

eating pet frogs in Massillon, Lee I had to laugh out loud for that one. Good luck with your lotto ticket.
Dave, I am suprised at the junk people pick up that we put our on t he AM before garbage pick up. One man's junk is another man's prize or someting like that. Hope you are feeling better.
Thanks for t he pictures K2. I bet it is a lot of fun walking thru. We use to have a Market House in wheeling but nothing like yours. Ours also sold slaves.
I hope all is well Karen.
Off to get a cup of coffee.

I may not make it here to post everyday, but I did remember you all in church today. Right now there is so much going on around here I'm not sure half the time if I'm coming or going, I think I met myself in the middle once.

I hope you brought yourself a wee glass of wine and a moment to sit and enjoy it Karen. Please make sure you take some time for yourself. Thank you for putting in a good word at church today.

Off to the races with another week.

Have a cup of coffee on me this morning, Lee. It's 1/2 caf. That way you can have more cups before you get the jitters. As for the frog statue that went POOF so quickly, Kathi thinks it is our next door neighbor. Their full back yard has a wooden fence around it, so we wouldn't be able to see it. We do know that they snapped up some lawn furniture we had sat by the curb, and even a large water filter we sat out when we filled in our pool.

Mike; Thanks for that tidbit of history of slaves being sold in Wheeling. I didn't know that. I also don't know if West Virginia fought for the north or south in the Civil War.

It does take a lot of energy to do so many good things, KC. When you remembered us in church, did you hear any lightening?

K2; Since the Buffoon pi$$es of so many people, he sure is giving the Secret Service job security.

Hot dog! Over the weekend Direct TV resumed showing the ABC network. I wonder how much money they had to pay to Disney to get the new contract.

Oh yea....That Mini-Mart by us that sold the million dollar scratch off ticket had a TV crew from a Cleveland station visit. Turns out their sales are now way up.

A quick good morning to everyone.
Lu-Ann has an 8:40 appointment with the knee guy in Windsor so we’ll having a coffee and heading out the door at 8:00.
Wheeling, WV is where a lot of the Greyhounds that were adopted out by our group came from. There’s far fewer adoption groups out there now.
I was thinking that you should knock on your neighbour’s door the next time you have a big item for the curb Dave. “Hey, we got this and wondered if you’d like it?” I guess folks are hoping lightening strikes twice at the lucky lotto store.
Our big draw is tomorrow night. They draw LottoMax Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Best hit the shower then get my girl up and have a coffee before we head off.
You all have a fantastic Monday!

58F and climbing to another PURE MICHIGAN Day here! Oh Lordy are we going to be in a major depressed mood when the 40F temps hit us and then even lower. HATE THE THOUGHT OF THAT HAPPENING!
Dave: You sure were up early for your post. How to are able to go back to be and fall asleep again is amazing. I'd have a hard time with doing that. I have horrible sleep issues. I'm slowly trying to get to bed earlier and just skip the 11 O'clock news.
Dave posted: It does take a lot of energy to do so many good things, KC. When you remembered us in church, did you hear any lightening?
I got a good chuckle out of that last sentence about the lightening! Ha Ha

Lee: Safe trip to you and Lu-Ann for her knee appt. Did you stop by the breakfast place after the appt was over?

Mike: I got out my measuring tape and measured the 2 Cherry Tomato plants height. One grew up by the side of the deck with the help of a pole I stuck next to it and then some string to attach it to the deck awning. It's 9 ft high and still has buds on the very top. The other one is only 8ft tall. it has a string holding it to the top rail of the awning for support. It's a skinny little plant that never got a real good start. Didn't get many cherry tomatoes off of it. The rain from the awning washes away the dirt at it's base and some of the roots are exposed. Next year I'll have to find a spot with less water pouring down on it. We have a bowl full of good tasting tomatoes and I'll miss them when they're gone. I don't buy them from the store in the Winter. They're tasteles.

Karen my dear: Sure hope this week is a tad slower for you than last week.
Looks like you will have a nice WARM week. Maybe you can get a break and get into the Club pool! Have a fun day.

85° Monday in Belleview. Then it goes up into the low 90's ! Get your gardening done early!

Art must have felt bad about me dragging hoses around yesterday to water our DRIED-OUT GRASS. It hasn't rained in weeks here and he didn't have the sprinklers turned on. So this morning he's outside trimming the grass around the sprinkler heads and is going to actually turn on the system. He didn't want to do it this late in the season because then he has to use the compressor to blow out the system, so it doesn't freeze up in the Winter. I told him it wasn't a big deal dragging the hoses, but he's doing the work anyways. What a guy!

Okay, I have to get on the phone and make a few Doctors appointments. My legs are bugging me enough to try and see what the heck is the problem.:oops: And I need to make an eye appt. Gotta support the medical folks..... you all know how that goes!

Have a fun and interesting day and look out for Fred hopping around your neighborhood!

We’ve been BUSY doing a major sprinkler head fix here all morning and 2 hours into the afternoon. Took 1 hour off to go and get a new saw blade and a Burger King.
This beautiful make tree's ROOTS wrapped around the PVC that was at least 6” deep in the ground as you can see by the pictures. I was the “gofer” and Sponge and
Archaeological Brushing person that got the dirt out of the way of the roots.
It was truly a TEAM WORK JOB! And we’re still talking. Perfect day for this job. Slight breeze and 82F.
Karen you would have loved the challenge of this job. :)

So we just tested our laborious job and it STILL LEAKS!
We both took the sad results very well!
Next is to dig a little deeper and try and get the “T” removed and install a new one.
Part 2 will not happen until Wednesday. (Art BIKES on Tuesday):emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

All in all we worked well together outside on a beautiful day!

Thanks for listening to my story!

Lee: Hope Lu-Ann had a good appointment!

K2 Art is a lot braver than me. I would be afraid to tackle that job. Good luck Wednesday, I think our grape and cherry tomatoes are as tall as yours. We still have loads of grape tomatoes on t he vine. Your temps and forecasts sounds like what we will be having.
Lee, Wheeling had a greyhound race track years ago, converted from a horse track. It was called the most beautiful 1/2 mile track in the world. At least, that is what the owner called it. I grew up in Wheeling. Wheeling was the first capital of WVa hope Lu-Ann's Dr appt went well.
Dave, WVa was a free state. It broke off from Virginia during the civl war. South West Va was still fighting the Civil war about 60 years ago . The motto was"save your money, the south will rise again".

I can only imagine all the swearing Art and you were doing and thinking during that project, K2. And it still isn't completed. You have my sympathies. It's one of those annoying projects that just don't go right, no matter what you do. (At least, I hope the "Whopper" was good.) I must admit, a spoon is not something I carry in my toolbox. Make sure Art gets it cleaned and back in the kitchen drawer. :)

So Lee, all things good at Lu-Ann's knee appointment? Good luck on hitting the LottoMax today.

Mike; Thanks for the song and the history lesson, you old "Hill-William".

We had planned on waiting another month for this fall's flu and the new Covid booster, but Covid infections are jumping up in the area.

So this morning we're going to get them both at the pharmacy at the larger grocery store in town. Giant Eagle. There, they give you $5 off of your groceries, for each shot.

Good morning.
WOW, did anybody else see that moon last night? Or maybe early this morning? It was beautiful!
Thank you all for asking about Lu-Ann. Doc Woodall says it seems to be coming along but these types of injuries can take up to a year to heal. And that’s if you don’t set it back by over exerting it. Lu-Ann wants it to be good for FL so slow and steady will be the direction we take.
That’s quite a project you and Art have undertaken Kathie. I thought of you both as archeologists as you carefully dug around the pipes and roots! I can’t recall the last time we had a Whopper.

Great tune by an another great entertainer who we lost way too soon Mike. Thanks for sharing that with us. A couple of our Greyhounds came from Steubenville just north of Wheeling.
Funny you mention Covid and the flu Dave. Our news had a piece just last night about both being on the rise in our area. Like you and Kathie, we were hoping to hold off on both shots until a tad closer to mid to late October. You get $5 off groceries with your shots? We’re lucky to get a band aid.
As busy as you are Karen, remember to take a moment for yourself to breathe in and breathe out before you move on.
Not sure what today will bring for us all. But we will all deal with it when it gets here.
Have a great Tuesday!
