Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Another cool, but not cold, start to this Monday.
Lu-Ann has a slightly torn meniscus. We found that out from the MRI we had done at Basha Diagnostics in MI. We’re still waiting for the MRI here! Anyway, the specialist has suggested physio which as a slow process but is helping. Because of the dyskinesia (uncontrolled movements) from her PD in her leg he is hesitant to scope and tidy things up through what is normally a minor surgery. I don’t know Mr. Parkinson but I wish he’d kept his damned disease to himself! Now, as Kathie would say,
Sorry for yet another LONG boring story.
I was in long pants and a jacket yesterday morning too Dave. And I reckon I didn’t like it any more than you did. I did make it to shorts and a light sweatshirt to cut the grass, front and back, yesterday. As I’ve mentioned I’m not a big fan of most things “pumpkin spice”.
Kathie, there is most certainly a spot for you on the other side of the pearly gates. I’m glad George’s buddy didn’t come home while you were in his house too! Could have scared the heck out of both of you. Fifty years and done. That’s so sad for so many reasons. It looks like a nice weather week for a trip to Goderich.
I listened to Mary Hopkin again this morning Mike. Hard to believe that tune is 56 years old! I bet 15 year old me had a crush on her.
As I was watching the NFL highlights last evening I couldn’t help but think of Bill with The Patriots season opening win! They’d be “Super Bowl Bound”.
The Pearly Gates. It’s interesting how different folks picture them. Karen and Kathie seeing huge, lavish glittery gates. I wonder if Dave’s vision might be the welcoming door to his beloved “Moose”. I’m not sure what my gates would look like but I do know, and hope, that all my friends and pups who got there before me would be there. Not that I’m eager for any of us to find out too soon!
OK, enough rambling from me. I have things to do and that starts with feeding Ava!
Have a fantastic Monday.

Lee, thank you for sharing that, quite a tribute to our friend!

Got home from the hospital about 30 mins. ago, we didn't get to see our friend before surgery as we'd hoped but stuck around and got to see her after she was in her room. Long day & all I've had to eat was breakfast about 9:30 this morning. Scrambled eggs & a huge biscuit from the hospital cafeteria, a whopping $2.31 with free coffee, if it wasn't clear on the other side of the county I might drop in there to eat more often. Catch up with you all probably tomorrow!

Lee: Thanks for posting the Obituary about our dear Bill. Very well said. Nice tribute for sure.

Karen: Glad you stuck around and your friend got to see you gals after her surgery. There are certain hospitals around our area that have fantastic chefs and pastry chefs. I actually stop into one of them when I'm in the area for the "Shortbread squares". Like fantastic and melt in your mouth. Ha ha.

Catching up on paperwork and trying to find some decent lodging in Goderich that won't have me taking out a 2nd mortgage. We need to travel more and get use to the prices at these places.

This week is supposed to be PERFECT weather-wise. Enjoy every minute outside if you can.

Later gang.

Dave, it got up to 80 degrees yesterday and upper 70s now. It was in the 40s both mornings. I have worn sweat pants all summer, my legs get cold very fast.
I'm glad your mind found you Lee. I hope Lu-Ann's knee is okay.
Thanks for the prayer Karen and K2.
Lucky you your calendar is blank k2. I don't think our weekly calendar has been blank in ages. Oops. the rest of t his week is blank. loved the dog picture. Oops again, Fay just said what about the covid shot and the hair cut.

Food and Freighter pics! Art had White Fish, I had lightly grilled shrimp on skewers on top of pasta w/ garlic & Parmesan cheese. Both were great.

It’s after midnight here and I just had to CLOSE ALL THE DARN BEDROOM & bathroom windows because the SKUNK GAME By AGAIN! I’m going to go up the
grain elevator store in the morning and buy some granules or spray to repel them. The smell is a STRONG MUSK SCENT. THAT IS ACTUALLY SICKenimg SWEET. YUK!

Time to fold the last load of laundry.
Made 3 - Banana Nut Breads. Used Bread Flour this time and can’t wait to cut one open to see if it’s any different.
You all have a great day.
Missed doing a Bike Ride tonight. Bummer.

Art and 5 other bike club members went over to Rick’s house and cleaned up his property. Lots of clipping and pulling of weeds and the shrubs needed trimming. The gang brought tools, blowers, hedge trimmers. Saws and brown bags for the branches, etc. worked for 3 hrs as a team and their Den Mom Christine gets Kudos for organizing the team.
The lawn man that was hired by Rick came by to cut he lawn and Den Mom told him..”Not today” we’ve got to get this done and we’d be in your way. Ha ha. Hope he comes back
tomorrow and cuts the grass!
Nite all.

Grab your popcorn, tonight is the night for the Harris/Buffoon debate. It could get interesting.

Sadly, Ohio is a RED state. One thing I've noticed around here; The further you get out into the country, the more Buffoon yard-signs you see.

Thanks for Bill's obit, Lee.

I stand corrected KC. During our last grocery shopping a loaf of pumpkin swirl bread fell into our cart.

Only you K2 would shop for pastries at a hospital. Thanks for more interesting pictures.

Mike; All my body and not just my legs gets cold very fast.

A lot of Rite-Aid drug stores have closed in this area. Turns out that's good for our local Wamart pharmacy. It turns out that they now have to fill 200 more prescriptions a day because of the Rite-Aid closings.

Can’t see across the street for the fog this morning! Sure glad I had my reflective thingy to wear on our walk.
Lots of pictures Kathie! Thank you. The food looked great! I wonder if freighters are built with the hulls looking scruffy? Good job by the “biker boys” to tidy Rick’s place. Did you find any spots in Goderich that won’t break the bank?
That’s a crazy good price for breakfast at the hospital Karen! Tim Horton’s is in most of our hospitals now. I don’t know if they even have cafeterias any more.
Our temps are creeping back up too Mike. We should feel like the mid 80’s this afternoon.
I had read that Rite-Aid was closing stores everywhere Dave. Rite-Aid and Walgreens are on corners in the US like Tim Horton’s and Starbucks are here!
After 30 plus years in Canada our friends Jim and Gail become Canadian Citizens this morning. Like most things these days it is a virtual ceremony. They are allowed to have friends and family present so the gang is going over at 10:00 to support them and share this big day!
Don’t you all stay up too late watching the debate. I hope Kamala leaves t-rump looking more bewildered and stupid than usual.
Have a darned fine day everyone.

Hi Gang.
Running around a tad today. WHY.... who knows! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

LEE: Congrats to Jim & Gail on become Canadian Citizens! Where were they from previous to the 30 yrs in Canada. I wish I had dual citizenship right about now. Jill's Godmother does, and she said they wouldn't hesitate to move to Canada. She was born there and lived there until she married Jill's Godfather.

Haven't looked for a place to stay in Canada yet. I just came into the computer room to do that and now I'm chatting with you all. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Rite-Aids are closing at every corner around here and even further than around here. I really feel sorry for Meijer, Kroger, Walmart pharmacies. They were overworked and UNDERSTAFFED to begin with, and the places don't hire more pharmacists. Really a shame.

Tonight should be interesting to say the least with the DEBATE! I just hope Karmala doesn't freeze up. I hope she treats him like a FELLON that he is and acts like a Prosecutor. And I hope she directs her attention to the people watching with facts. LORD HELP US!

Karen, Mike, Dave, Lee....... if I don't get back on here tonight or while in Canada BEHAVE yourselves. Enjoy the nice temps we are having.

Lee: It was a toss up with booking Comfort Inn or staying at Ben Miller. I voted for Comfort Inn. It’s newer. Ben Miller use to be the HOT PLACE to go, but the rooms are small and “Tired”.

Kamala and the Moron managed to get at each other. Trump went off script and asked and got way too much extra time.
I didn’t learn anything new that I already didn’t know about the two of them. I don’t know why they do these debates. I pray there are NO MORE.

See you kiddies in a few days. Be good and keep the HUTCH CLEAN! I think the refrig has something really SPICEY going bad in it!
Might be one of Daves concoctions1.

Good Wednesday morning.

Watch the debate last night? I did. And I believe it's fair to say that she wiped the floor with that wanna be dictator.

Not much else to gab at.

This morning we'll meet up our nephew/contractor at Menards. He'll be pulling out our tub and replacing it with a walk-in shower. Kathi and I will be picking the design of the shower and the dozen or so other pieces and parts that go into it. Like kind of door, shower head, grab bars and maybe a seat.

Nothing is ever simple. :)

Good morning.
Safe trip to Goderich Kathie. I think you made a good choice for a place to stay. Ben Miller is, or was, getting a little tired. Of course for the longest time they were the only accommodation in the area. You had asked about Jim and Gail. Jim was a Minnesota lad and Gail was from Illinois. They met in Florida. Their daughter, Son in Law and Grandkids live in a suburb of Cleveland. The citizenship ceremony was pretty neat and ended with the singing of “Oh Canada”.
Get the shower seat Dave! And a grab bar. We learned that after Lu-Ann broke her wrist. The seat makes everything easier and the grab bar is a nice added feature for you or Kathi to steady yourselves as needed.
We watched about the first hour of the mud slinging debate. An hour of time we’ll never get back.
Other than that on this foggy morning I wish you all a good day. And even if you’re just going around the corner be safe.

I agree with Lee Dave, get the seat and the grab bars, you can't go too wrong in getting more grag bars that you think you will need.
According to trump, he won the debate and may refuse to do a second one since he won. GOOD!!! The betting odds and polls are now in favor of Harris.
Fay told me trump now wants another debate.
I tried to scan a document to my compute today. I could print it but not save it.
Have a good evening.

Those pesky computers, eh Mike? What I hate is when they make a tiny little change to the operating system and rather than simplify tasks it makes them more complex.
Another nice wander at The Fort this evening.
Have a good night everyone.
