Kathie, no problem with withdrawing money from checking or savings with a credit freeze in place. It just affects opening any new credit accounts like loans or credit cards. And you can still do that you just have to go into the 3 different credit bureau's and unfreeze your account then when your loan or credit card is approved go back & re-freeze them

Thanks for the info Karen. Doesn’t hurt to do this. I just wanted to be sure I could still pay my bills through my bank and use th3 ATM card, etc.

The Fish Tacos turned out good. I did the fish outside with a older pan on the grill with some veg oil in it. I just didn’t want the house smelling like “FISH”. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: It would have been much better deep frying, but I don’t have one of those! Don’t do much frying to be bothered owning a deep fryer.
Watching Michigan State Univ vs Boston College. We’re TIED! It’s poring rain there.

There must be something in the air Dave. I’m beat this morning too.
I’ll make every effort to catch up with everyone later on.
In the meantime, you all enjoy your Sunday.

81F and HUMID in Pure Michigan this Sunday! If the SUN was out FULL BLAST we'd be worst off! ( or is it "worse") ?? Ha ha.

I'm on here saying HELLO and then paying bills. They never stop coming!

80F here too Kathie.
I cut the front lawn yesterday. The back this morning. Then we headed in to town to the new coffee shop called "Bucket List Coffee". I know it's only their second day BUT...17 minutes is not acceptable to wait for a regular coffee. We went this morning when we had Ava down to The Navy Yard and I was their first customer of the morning. Problem being that had NOTHING ready. Open and Open for Business are two different things I guess.
Other than that there's not much going on.
I hope that you're all having a great day!

Done paying bills online!

Nice to hear from you Lee.
I've learned from past experiences that it's not always best to go to a new FOOD place. We seem to give them a few weeks to get "their act together"! Easier on our nerves.
I don't think I could have waiting 17 mins early in the morning for a cup of Java. Hope it was good! ;)

Sun keeps coming in and out.

Hope you all are having a relaxing Sunday.

DAVE: The DUST is most likely slowing you down. Try sitting outside in the shade or go take in a Movie! Do they have movie theatres in Massillon? Ha Ha..... just kidding! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Good evening! We had 2 glorious Fall days here in Florida, if only they would stick around for a while. Yesterday driving to Jane's I had my truck windows down & the cool air blowing in felt wonderful! This morning I opened the patio door & turned off the A/C inside until it was time to leave for church.

Lee, yeah, I think I would have left after 5 mins. of waiting for my coffee if I was the only person there. Sounds like the help was late getting to work or something.
I said an extra prayer for Gail in church this morning.

Kathie, if you have spare time on your hands I have a few bills you can pay as well. Did the neighbor get his concrete delivery yet?

Dave, well as long as Fuzzbutt approved it I guess it's ok you went back to bed.;) Hope the extra sleep helped.

Friday night I had one of those nights I could NOT get to sleep, even getting up & cleaning my kitchen didn't help. Last time I looked at the clock it was about 3:30 am and I had to be up by 7 to mow Jane's yard. I'm glad that the weather was cooler or I don't think I would have had the energy to mow. I was in bed by 8:30 last night & slept till 7:30 this morning, I sure needed it!

Had a lady come by this afternoon & bought a large area rug I was selling, that was an extra $65 of pin money for the month. Better than the $45 some lady offered me the first day I listed it, when I told her no thanks, she just said let me know when you change your mind.
Not much else going on around here, I'm going to try & make it to the gym tomorrow, I haven't gone but once since I joined. I'd like to try the exercise class they have for seniors. Have a super evening all!

Dave. I hope you are feeling better, also after you went back to bed you slept well.
Kc, congrats on your selling the rug and sticking to your price. If we ever have another garage sale, you can come over and take care of the selling. I'm glad your nice long snooze helped you.
Those fish tacos looked very good K2, I'm sure they tasted as good as they looked.
Lee, you will probably get a lot more of t hose I know what you meant posts from me, thanks for the understanding. I think 17 minutes to wait for a cup of coffee is a bit long. I hope it tasted good. They may get their act together soon, that is if they have any customers.
It was very warm this morning but cooled off after a short rain, it isn't supposed to get hot again

Karen: Good for you selling the rug. You do a good job of making a few extra bucks on a regular basis. :clap002:
I wish you were my neighbor and could help me sell some of the stuff around here. I really need to list some stuff on either Marketplace or our local township site. I just hate watching for messages with all the dumb questions about the items.
Hope you got a better nights sleep!
Cement got poured Saturday morning. Today the owner and his friends were back again taking off the wood forms. They also pulled out a few more old-overgrown shrubs by the corner of the house. I must say they worked hard and even in the light drizzle we had for awhile.
More information on just what kind of stairs they will put to get down from the door Coming soon!

Dave: Good luck with the shower job this week! Is this the only bathroom in the house with a shower or a tub?
Just wondering if you‘ll have to check into a YMCA soon to shower? Or a Comfort Suites? :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: Hope that Kathi doesn’t get any Sinus issues from all the dust.

Mike: The Fish Tacos in the picture I posted were the ones we had in Canada. The ones I made for us didn’t look half that nice. They tasted good, but I really needed a deep fryer to make the fish look crispy!

Detroit Lions WON the football game today!

We have a 58th Anniversary this week and
Jill’s B-Day. Busy week.

Only Dr’s appt is Monday morning for Art’s re-check to see how things look after the stiches were taken out!
How will the medical field make it without all our visits! Ha ha

Have a safe and fun week Wrabbits. :emoticon 0115 inlove: :usa1: :canada:

The 2 workers will be back this morning to continue work on the shower. So it's back to running down the basement steps to that 1/2 bathroom, when nature calls. On Friday, the workers were nice enough to clear a path to the toilet so we could use it over the weekend. They put all their tools in the garage.

Lee; I'm sure you'll give the "Bucket List Coffee" shop a break while they figure out how they should run their new business. I was at Disney World the second day it was open and you could tell that most of the workers still weren't sure as what they should be doing.

That's teach you to go to the mailbox K2. Those little things only produce bills. (And junk mail.) Congrats on the lions win. The Browns tubed it.

Good for you KC on getting $65 for that area rug. Try putting a trip to the gym on a schedule. Like every Tuesday at 9AM. And then work around it for other stuff.

I slept a bit better last night, Mike. Hope you did as well. Hard to believe that we're into fall, with the temperatures we've been having lately.

I'm hoping to get my driver's license renewed today. I'll be calling the Department of Motor Vehicles around 8 to see what kind of paperwork I need to do it. Last time they were really picky. Lucky that Massillon has an office close by.

Good morning everyone.
Even at 64F there was a chill in the air on our early morning walk. Some of the trees yesterday were showing signs of turning.
Sounds like a very busy week of celebrations Kathie! We get and pay all of our bills on line. We check the mail once a week and it’s usually nothing but flyers in the compartment.
With all of the “bad guys” and “scammers“ out there Karen we’ve never been comfortable selling stuff on line. Yet so many people do very well by it.
It’s funny what we all type - or mistype - as the case may be Mike. Yet our minds read what was intended to be said. It was only after you pointed out Memorial Day that I realized what you had typed. My mind read and understood Labour Day!
At least you have a half bath for when nature calls Dave. When do the fellas anticipate the reno will be done? Has Kathi picked out the paint colour yet?
Ya, if Bucket List doesn’t get on track they won’t last. When I was in first as they unlocked the door they had NOTHING ready. No coffee, no baked goods. Nothing. That I blame on the owner / manager. If you tell staff they start at 9:00 that’s when they show up. You need to be stocked and ready at 9:00. When we went back later in the morning it was clearly a case of finding their rhythm. But a number of potential customers did leave. Will they return? I am able to see things through my days working at The Grapevine Cafe in school and being Ayr’s bright good morning coffee and muffin guy at Indulge after I retired from Canada Post.
Anyway, you all behave and have a fantastic Monday!

Good AFTERNOON Wrabbits! 67F and gloomy outside. Windows are open to let fresh air in.

MISTAKE/CORRECTION: Art went to the Allergy Dr's this morning, not the Skin Dr. Oops.
Once a year you have to take the time to see an actual doctor and chat and let insurance pay for the visit! Now for another year, Art just goes in and the staff gives him his shots monthly.

Skin doctor is in another few weeks.

DAVE: So good to know you have a bathroom downstairs. You just have to have better TIMING getting there! Ha Ha.

Lee, Karen, Mike and any lurkers.........Enjoy your day!

We're off to Menard's to get the Leaf Blower I saw the other day. I didn't have my 11% rebate check with me from previous purchases and wanted to use it before it gets lost.
Always Something! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

I just got back from the dentist. I chipped a tooth a long time ago and the dentist and I decided to have it pulled before it starts hurting. He is a new dentist here and a young dentist. Our other dentist retired. The new dentist is very good, felt some pressure but no pain. The tooth was chipped down to the gum line.
You are pretty much just in time for the leaves to come down K2. I hope the blower does a good job for you. We used to rake ours and it took forever.
Dave, for the most part I always sleep well. Some times it may be a while before I drop off but once I fall asleep I sleep like a log. It got up to at least 79 but with the wind blowing it was chily.
Did you stop at the coffee shop this morning Lee. If you did I hope they were a bit more organised than yesterday. The staff should have been ready before opening. I guess it took a few hours to get their rythm down.
I don't remember doing any paperwork Dave when we renewed our driver's license, there may have been some signing to do. I hope you didn't havea long line like we usually do.
Have you spent that $65 yet Karen?

On the news tonight they PIN-POINTED just what I was going through today:
It's called.... SAD.... or Seasonal Affective Disorder!

Because it was only in the higher 67's today I'm really glad to know why I was feeling so glum. :emoticon 0136 giggle:

Mike: Hope the tooth pulled area doesn't give you a hard time. Art had one like that pulled in July of this year. All the best.

Jill, Ash and Eric stopped by tonight with a MUM plant and a homemade loaf of Sour Dough bread she made this morning and a jar of homemade Raspberry Jam. WOW! Neat surprise. They wanted to wish us a Happy 68th and make sure we had the goodies for our breakfast with coffee. Jill even had a loaf of the bread for our friends "Up 24 Mile Rd - Marie & George".
Such a thoughtful girl!

I vacuum packed a long pork loin I got at Costco and managed to Vacuum seal 8 pkgs. Some had 3 nice size pieces, and some had 4 pcs. These days that's a nice savings when it comes to meat.

It's supposed to start raining later tonight and into the morning Tues. Not sure what our plans will be for our 68th Anniversary. :emoticon 0115 inlove: "Oh how we danced".......ha ha.....!

A wrench was thrown in the works of our new walk-in shower. But only for one day. Our nephew/contractor couldn't come yesterday because his young daughter got sick, and he had to take her to see the family doctor. She's doing fine now, and is on antibiotics. He called us in the afternoon and said that he would be here today.

Got my driver's license renewed yesterday. The paperwork that I needed was 2 proofs that my address matched what was on my driver''s license. So I took in my passport and the registration for my car. Walked in shortly after their opening and was called to the counter even before I could get a number. On the way out, new arrivals were taking up a lot of chairs.

Lee; The expected completion date for our renovation WAS by the end of the week. Now, I'm not sure.

K2; Happy.......Bunch of years! :) You asked a couple of days ago if we had another shower or tub in the house. Nope. After a couple of days you get pretty good standing in front of a sink with only a bar of soap and a washcloth.

Glad it wasn't painful for you at the dentist, Mike. I'm guessing that the chipped tooth was toward the back.

Did you make it to the gym yesterday, KC?

HAPPY WHATEVER ANNIVERSARY ENDING IN “8” Kathie. So, what you’re saying is it’s 58 years but feels like 68? OK, all kidding aside. Congratulations to you both.
At least a new dentist should come with all of the new techniques and technology Mike. We didn’t make it to the coffee shop yesterday. Likely not today with the forecast of rain either.
The important part of yesterday Dave is that the little girl is feeling better. Your nephew will be able to work with a clear mind knowing that. Interesting that your DL renewal was focused on your address and had nothing to do with your ability behind the wheel.
It’s tough to get into that “gym” rhythm Karen but you’ll feel good getting it done. On the other hand with all of the yard work you do for so many folks you are already kinda in a “natural” workout program.
Off to the oncologist this morning for my annual prostate review. I did the blood work last week and I’m hoping he and I have a short visit (meaning good news) today. Friday I see the cardiologist for my annual heart follow up. I did those tests and the monitor a couple of weeks back. Hopefully he and I will also have a short visit.
All right, all of you have a top notch day whatever comes your way.
