Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Without getting in to specifics Mike, it’s not The Groundhog who should be shot. Just sayin…
One thing about Canada Kathie, citizens are always welcomed home. I wonder if Canada, like Drury Inns, have a friends and family plan. You are all my friends and most importantly, feel like family.
The wine has been enjoyed poolside. Time to join Mike for a coffee.

I have faith that since Punxsatawney Phil is only right in his prediction 35% of the time, spring will arrive sooner than he says.

When I was looking up how accurate various groundhogs are in their predictions, the best one is Staten Island Chuck. He gets it right 85% of the time. And he predicts an early spring. Also he's known to have bitten the mayor of New York City 10 years ago. :)

Don't feel sad about being the only female in the hutch right now, K2. I feel KC will soon come to her senses and once again value her old Bunny friends.

As far as the Buffoon's tariff BS, I'm happy to see that both Canada & Mexico are going to start throwing tariffs back at the U.S. Suck on that Orange-Man!

Seeing armadillos many days on morning walks. I was thinking about that, Lee. By the time you finally return home, that will feel like it's normal.

Warm up some of that coffee from yesterday Mike, and I'll join you in a cup.

Most of my thoughts today will be on my surgery tomorrow. Not guaranteed to work. To be able to pee on my own. It could go the opposite way. Able to pee, but not able to keep from leaking. So instead of having a pee-bag on my leg I'd need to wear Depends. The catheter will be put back in after the surgery and not removed for about a week to let everything heal. Hopefully I'll only spend one night in the hospital after the surgery.

A dense fog this morning. It was 70F at 5:30 but has dropped 4 degrees as the fog has started to settled in.
Ava and I saw a number of armadillo and bunnies on our walk this morning. They’re already getting to be the norm.
Of course all the groundhogs out there see their shadows Dave. There’s so darned many tv lights and camera flashes even a blind man would see a shadow. Thoughts are with you for a successful procedure tomorrow my friend. What time do you have to be at the hospital? And for sure, as Kathie asked, when Kathi gets a chance please let us know how things go. No pun intended. Well, maybe a little bit.
You fine folks all have a great Monday.

Good almost afternoon! ;)

Mike: I had my coffee earlier and English Muffin with seedless Raspberry jelly on it. It's made by Smucker's and is SO GOOD! They don't make it in the big jars and it's a tad more money than Strawberry, but so worth it.
I watched the ducks, doves, woodpeckers, blue jays and other birds in the yard by the feeders and SUDDENLY they all flew away.
Well, the HAWK made his way into the area and the signal went out like a flash... TAKE COVER FLY, FLY, FLY away. He got a sparrow the other day and took it into a nearby tree and plucked the feathers and had himself a nice morning brunch. This morning every bird made it out safe.

DAVE: All the best on your surgery Tues. Sure hope they get your plumbing to work for you. Wearing Depends or (pads) would still be better, if needed, than the catheter and bag. Take care and think positive!

Lee: Enjoy your warmth today. We have FOG here in Macomb area! Not too bad, but gloomy without the sunshine to burn it off.

Later gang. Enjoy your day.

Your English Muffin and raspberry jelly sounds good Kathie! Our fog burned off here a tad after 10:00. It’s 80F right now under partly cloudy skies.

Dave. the groundhog that bit the mayor, did it die???? The ground hog that is. ?? I will get a cup of coffee after I post on the hutch, first t hings first. Good luck on your surger;y tomorrow. I hope the groundhog prediction with an early spring is right, especially in Ohio.
Kc, with a name like Smuckers its bound to be good. I like the strawberry jam. We used to see hawks circling in the sky years ago, since I don't get out much don't see them much, maybe this summer. I thought a couple of times to make some suet, get some black sunflower seeds and some thistle seeds and put them out, ma;y have to get some bird feeders/
Lee, I'm guessing your walks are like a leisurly stroll to see the animals with Ava. It must be very nice and enjoyable. Are you a gawker when you walk and taking it all in? As the weather warms up and my pain pills are working real well I may try to start walking again.
It is 67 degrees here, bring it on.
I'm going to get that cup of coffee, you are all welcome to join me.

You make a fine cup of coffee Mike. I enjoyed mine with an Oreo Toffee Crunch cookie. I’m hoping that you start feeling well enough to go for even a short stroll as the weather gets nicer. Am I a gawker? It depends if the young ladies leave their shades up in the early morning hours. ;)

Hi Wabbits! And that includes you KC.

I think you've got a lot of us thinking about Smucker's jams and jellies, K2. Kathi is really into their grape jam or jelly. Smucker's is in a small city called Orrville which is only about 10 miles from here. As a matter of fact a daughter in law of ours works there. (As a desk jockey.)

That would be great if you started walking again, Mike. A little bit at a time and SLOWLY building up from there. For a lot of people, a bit of early morning mall-walking gets them warmed up for spring.

I was privileged with speaking to "Dudley Do-Right" yesterday afternoon. I'll tell you one thing my friend, you DEFINITELY have a Canadian accent. He and I solved all the problems of the world during our chat. But I did forget to ask you if you've come up with a new name for Canada since the Buffoon says he's going to make it our 51'st State. :)

It's going to be a long a$$ day for me. They start surgeries at 5 AM, but I'm not scheduled till 2. But I'm suppose to be there at 11. I'll have to see if they have bar service.

A very good, albeit foggy, morning to everyone!
What a wonderful sense of humour that Irish fella who passed had Kathie.
Ah, you’ve discovered my secret Mike! Actually, I was always up and out to work early. I’ve never been able to sleep in. And because I’m out early that I wear adjustable reflective “suspenders” and have reflective strips built into my shoes. I want to be seen by anyone who is driving, walking or looking out their windows!
Best part of yesterday, even better than my afternoon glass of wine, was talking to Dave. I HAVE an accent?! That’s not the way I heard it! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: I was thinking that we, Canada, would let those US States that want to join us as provinces could keep their names.
Time to feed Ava. We’re off to our beloved Kona Cafe at The Poly for breakfast and a cup of REAL Kona coffee.
Have a great day folks, especially you Dave! Looking forward to hearing from you in a couple of days. We’ll leave a light on for ya’.

Good Morning All. Wishing you all the BEST DAVE as you have your surgery. Yikes that's a long time to have to wait!
Lee: So happy to hear that you got to talk to our Fr Dave and wish him well. Such a nice thing to do. This HUTCH FAMILY sure is considerate of each other. Love it.

25F here and overcast.

Mike: Get yourself a nice sturdy "walker" and when the weather turns decent and warmer (Lord only knows when that will happen) go out on the sidewalk and do some walking. If you do that you should invest in one of those "alert gizmos" that would ring for help if you take a tumble.

Speaking of tumbles. I was at the Kroger's grocery store yesterday about 3:00 pm in line at the Customer Service area. The line was going very slow because one person had a major issue with his bill. So, I went and did my 6-item shopping and then came back and the line was still as long. There was an older rather heavy-set gentleman 2 people in front of me and he was holding onto a ladies basket handle. I thought they were together. I mentioned that he might want to go sit down on the bench by the windows of the store. She told me she had mentioned that to him and he said he was okay to stand. (He was swaying a tad) She also told me he wasn't with her. DUH! Silly me to make that assumption.

Well, the man started to sway more and his knees buckled and he was going DOWN FAST. We all went into action. I told everyone around him to "GRAB HIM". Then we pulled him so he was sitting on his butt and not breaking his legs with his weight. (the guy must have weighed 300 pounds or more) I unbuttoned his heavy coat and took off his hat, felt his head and he was sweating and warm. The store manager shows up and I yelled we need some water. Then a YOUNG MAN walking around with a clipboard walks by and I grab his arm and tell him to go over to the Starbucks and bring back a chair. He looks at me "LIKE WHAT"?? I repeated "Just go get this man a chair". The water came and chair came and we all were asking if he had someone with him. He finally managed to tell us his wife was in the car outside. The man BEHIND me get him to tell him what color and that the car was in the handicap area. He went and got the wife. She comes in CALM AS CAN BE and states, he just had DIALYASIS this morning. LORDY what is he doing standing in a line to cash in Scratch Off Lotto tickets. He didn't want EMS and the store manager got him a wheelchair and the men lifted him into it. That's when I got out of the line for the 2nd time and went to pay for my groceries. What scary situation. The store manager ticked me off because at first he just stood there doing nothing. I asked him to get water from the WATER ISLE which was right across from all this and his reply was those aren't single waters they're bundled. REALLY, the man looks like he's going to pass out and you're worried about opening up a bundle of water. What an idiot.

Okay, sorry that was so long, but I wanted to let you know just what can happen at any moment in life. I'm just so HAPPY the man didn't fall and hit his head. It could have been so much worse.

DAVE: AGAIN all the best buddy. Make sure Kathi gets back to us or you get back to us.
And thanks for the info on Smuckers!

I'm off to get my coffee.

Karen: Hope you're having a good week. We totally miss you girl.

Wow Kathie! Sounds like a good thing you were there. They always say women are better in an unexpected emergency than men. Good on you!

Thanks for the video K2, that man must have had a sense of humor. That was was some experience ;you had at Kroger's, I hope he is okay. I have 2 walkers, one has a seat on it. I will walk a little in the house, I haven't walked outside for a ;year, may up my walking inside a little. I don't know if I mentioned this, used to walk 6 miles a da;y, 2 miles of it I pushed myself.
Lee, Fay has looked out the window at 3:30 AM and seen a fellow running with a vest on that had white light in fron and a red light in the back. He runs on the sidewalk, that would be tough on t he legs. How much sleep do ;you get??????
Dave, hopefully the operation is going well and you will be back on your feet soon, That is a looooooong da;y.
Pattie is coming over to help with a few things today, Fay used to do them but isn't sure of herself now.
Hope the rest of your day goes well.

…And now back to our regularly scheduled programming.
There’s a couple in this community who run between 5:30 am and 6:30 am. They both have those runners headlight bands on. We just came back from a really short walk with Ava. Right around the corner were three Ontario cars and a fourth from Fairfield, OH.

How much sleep do I get? I’m usually in bed around 10:00 pm - 10:30 pm at the latest and asleep pretty quickly. Most mornings I’m awake around 5:00 am.

Kathi Allen: Thanks for the UPDATE. Good to hear Fr Dave is doing well. And I'm glad they kept him overnight since it was such a late surgery.
Tell him we all send our best and HELLO's. Now try and enjoy your evening off from the Master! Ha Ha
