This is a shot in the dark, but could it be San Francisco?

We sailed into SFO about 5 years ago, but I remember absolutely NOTHING about the piers.

Bingo! That's were we'll be just four short weeks!!!!!!!! (and a day)

Can you believe we're that close?

Question. For those arriving early .... Has anyone booked any tours of The City, or surrounding areas?

SunFlower and I are doing the Winchester Mystery House on Monday afernoon. Thinking about a dinner/dance cruise that night, and maybe a Segway tour on Tuesday morning.

Who's doing what?

Quack Quack scootering to Girdellis for my hot fudge sundae and to the Pier to eat some sea food and hit the tourist traps. I took a grey line tour lst time we left out of San Francisco-it was sure a good overview of city. Would like to go eat at a chineese resturant Tuesday night. Wish we could jump on and off the cable cars as sure sounded like the group had fun with that.

Hotel Spirit in Bratislava. This looks like it was designed by bOB & Mal, aka Frick & Frack.

I've certainly been to Albany and Tokyo, but can't say I remember these structures. But the Hotel Spirit...aaah, that's another question. :dizzy

We have two trips planned out side the city, the ferry to Sausalito, and a bus tour of the wine country. Also, we plan to hit some of our favorite eating places, Lichee Garden, Joane's Happy Days Diner, Tadish Grill, and Millers East Coast Deli.

SunFlower wants to spend Tuesday jumping on 'n' off cable cars, wandering Chinatown. I've heard that Rocco's Cafe' http://www.roccoscafe.com/ is really good. It was featured on Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" a couple weeks ago. The menu does look promising ... Might try that on Tuesday night

We don't have any specific plans, just going to see how the day goes. Would like this time to visit China Town and also go have one of those famous hot fudge sundaes at Girdellis. If time allows either before or after cruise to go see Alcatraz.

We're arriving Sunday about noon. No plans for Sunday but Monday morning we're taking the Winchester Mystery House tour. Tuesday we're planning to take Mr. Toad's tour. The cars just look so cool. Other than that, ride the cable cars, ride the street cars, go everywhere, do everything, eat. Both of those tours cross the Golden Gate Bridge which is why we liked them. Been there twice but never seen it. I did get to put my hand on it once so I know it's really there. Would one of the locals please tip whoever is in charge of weather.

Last time we went to a 50s style diner. Loved the food and atmosphere but can't remember the name or exact location except it was within a couple blocks of Union Square. Anybody help with that?

4 weeks from right now, I'll be pacing the floor at the HIE wondering if 10:00 AM will ever come.

Jim :)

WOO HOO ! ! ! ! We arrive Sunday evening, Monday is touring Fisherman's Wharf area, Ghiredelli's Chocolate shop etc. Tuesday is a day trip to Vallejo for water park fun. I would squeeze in more if we had more than 24 hours in a day!

A water park in Vallejo? I suspect you either mean 6 Flags (used to be Marine World) in Vallejo, or the water park in Concord.

28 days!!! 4 weeks!!!
