Happy Saturday morning Duck, Ducklings and Dits!!

Another hot and humid day up here, wish we could get a little bit of the rain that Fay has been dropping below us. We haven't had rain since sometime in July, everything is parched here.

Gonna try to book our hotel down in Dothan, AL today. We leave for the beach in 21 days..woo-hoo!! We like to drive down to Dothan, which is 7 hours away, spend the night and then the next day we only have 3 hours left, meaning we can get up at our leisure, swim, have breakfast, and slowly make our way down to Florida. We can’t check into our house until 4 pm, so that is why we like to do this – plus we can leave later in the day on Sat vs 4 am on Sun to make the trip.

What is happening in your neck of the woods today?

Our security officers at our mall where I work use them. BUIT they did stop for awhile because too many were getting hurt. Two the of the men h broke bones and were off work for months. They are not as easy to ride as they look.

Some of you people seem to have the idea that Duck Cruises are all fun and games. Well, let me tell you, we are very actively involved in enrichment activities, environmental activies, and cultural activities. Please, enough of this frivolous nonsense.

Good afternoon, Ducks, Ducklings and DITs, from central Joisey where it's a partly sunny 83 degrees.

It's been an interesting day, to say the least. I awoke around 1:00am and had horrific chest pains. I thought it was gas so I got up and walked around a bit. Nothing changed. I waited for Mal to wake up around 4:00am, and had him take me to the hospital around 6:00am. They did a full blood work-up, chest xrays and an EKG. Bottom line is they diagnosed my problem as pleurisy. I need to go for another EKG tomorrow and a stress test on Wednesday just to make sure everything's okay.

Soooo, I'm home for the week. I guess I'll be able to rack up some more FF miles and check out the shore excursions for our Canada cruise this October! :grin

Hope everyone has a nice & safe day! :thumb :thumb
Calgon, somehow you have gotten the wrong idea about me. I am the quiet one.
Bruce is the quiet one only because he can't keep up with the rest of the Duck Crew!

Sunday was a full day of heavy house work in preparation for the window installation. Knowing how allergies affect me better half, she spent most of the day upstairs, while I worked on the windows in the dinning room downstairs. As I knew the dust would be an issue i had both access to the room sealed off in plastic during the work, but considering "This Old House" there was plenty flying about and probably leaked through to other areas of the house too. Even with wearing a respirator, my sinuses were a mess after the day, so I can not help but wonder if this was not a contributer to Judi's ER visit this AM. Needless to say for the up and coming window prep, Judi will be out of the house...perhaps spending the Day with DD, DGD! Just to be safe after returning from the ER, I washed all the bed linens, so as to eliminate any lingering dust particles if that was of issue. As those of you who have ever done any work on an old hose know, one swing of a hammer in one side of the house can send dust flying on the other side. For now I will be standing guard and will be with my Lady for her test, hoping she feels better soon.

Cyber hugs and prayers would be greatly appreciated!

Mal
