By the way, there is still snow up on the mountain. Very strange to see it up there when it is 106 down here in the valley. I can see it from my balcony.

Detroit/Metro Suburbs!!

Yikes........snow in LA........really strange.

We had BRIGHT SUNSHINE earlier and now it's playing peek a boo with the clouds. It's in the 65 - 68 right now.

Off to buy some plants to dig into the garden in front of the house. Gotta make it look nice ya know!!

Detroit/Metro Suburbs............The weather people keep promising it will get to 70 degrees today.

So far the SUN is out and it's a TAD ChILLY yet. But it's early!! Going to plant flowers in the front of the house today. I started yesterday, but need to finish. :daisy You all have a GREAT WEEKEND.

[large]It was 88-90 degrees on Monday and today it was 58 high. Tonight we're expecting a FROST (32).

Unreal change in one day. I had to cover all my plants that I dug into the flower beds yesterday. The front of the house looks like a Chinese Laundry with all the sheets draped all over the place. Too funny to see. ::eek: I don't want to pay all the money for new plants if they freeze and I surely DON"T want to plant all that stuff again. I knew I should have waited another week before planting. This sort of temp change happens almost every year. I think it's God's way of making money for the Flower industry!! [/large]

Did you really have to call it a Chinese Laundry....isn't there some other ethnic group that you could poke at....like Serbs? I'm kinda shocked.

Yes, I think so. Global warming is hitting Michigan first....they're predicting winter weather, including snow, in July and August from now on. Us, we just get warmer weather and droughts.

[large]You two are just soooooo funny!!

We didn't have to cover all the plants last night. It only got down to 40 degrees!! I did bring in the hanging plants
just felt sorry for them freezing out there in the cold.
I bought some "seeds" and have them in front of the famous Doorwall trying to start them up in hopes of transferring
them outside in a month. They would never make it right now out there. Ground is just too cold. Very strange year for
planting stuff around here.

It's BRISK here this morning ........trying to make it to 50 degrees right now. But the SUN is good to have around.

Take care and enough your day all!!

SAN: Got any projects around the house that need tending to?? How about taking some pictures and posting them on Angelines web-site of the house?? Now that could keep you busy for awhile.

Been really nice here this week. 84 yesterday when our average for this time of year is 96 so we'll keep the shirtsleave weather for as long as we can. Up to 91 tomorrow but to us desert rats that's still very nice.

Detroit/Metro area: We got into the high 70's yesterday. It rained last night really hard. The grass loved it. Things were getting dry. Water is SO EXPENSIVE here that it would be great if it rained like that once a week all Summer. But I know it won't happen.
It's sunny and breezy this morning and they're calling for a shower later this afternoon! I got a walk in earlier this morning so I'm all set for exercise for today. Bring on the rain and water that grass for FREE!!

MBandy........90's is just a tad TOO HOT for this kid. Enjoy your weekend all.

Ya know Kathie when they say "It's a dry heat" it really is true. It is 91 right now but our humidity is currently 8%. That is very pleasant weather. If you were here and I told you it was 91 you wouldn't believe me because the humidity is so low you don't feel it. I was outside a few minutes ago and didn't even break a sweat.

One important thing a desert rat learns is use the shade. There is a huge difference between standing in the sun or the shade.

[large]Detroit/Metro suburbs: Cooler today just 70 degrees and it looks like RAIN soon. Sun is popping in and out of the clouds. Good day for a WALK or BIKE ride until it rains.

[size=medium]Detroit/Metro Suburbs..........Stanley Cup WINNERS!! Detroit Red Wings!!

Anyways........it was 94 degrees and maybe even hotter at times. We had tornado watches/warnings (whatever) this evening. Got 2 HUGE DOWN POURs of rain. It's raining right now. Hope it cools it off. Tomorrow will be even worse than today with the HUMIDITY from all this rain. Oh well.........it still beats WINTER and SNOW!!

Hope you all are having good weather where you live.

I had to turn the A/C on tonight!! Hate doing that, but with the humidity I just had to. =huh Couldn't take it!! [/size]

Well it is supposed to be around 91 today. Still really nice because of the low humidity, around 8%

Congrats Kathie on the Red Wings win. :thumb
