Departing from New York City, Miami and Port Canaveral, these itineraries will call on popular destinations in the sun-soaked Caribbean, Florida, The Bahamas, and Bermuda, with most itineraries including stops at the cruise line’s picturesque private island – Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.

“We want our guests to experience MSC Cruises’ most modern and innovative ships, whether they’re on a quick weekend getaway or the vacation of a lifetime. The Summer 2025 season will be an exciting one for us. MSC World America will let our guests experience the future of cruising with 7-night itineraries from Miami, and we’re enhancing our short cruises from Miami with the fantastic MSC Seascape providing 3- and 4-night options. We’re especially thrilled that all four ships sailing from U.S. homeports will call at Ocean Cay, providing guests with the opportunity to experience MSC Cruises’ unique and beautiful private island in The Bahamas no matter where they embark.” said, Rubén A. Rodríguez, President, MSC Cruises USA.

MSC World America

MSC World America – A New World of Cruising

MSC Cruises will have two ships sailing from its next generation terminal at PortMiami—set to be the world’s largest—for the summer 2025 season. Miami’s newest megaship, the highly anticipated flagship MSC World America will be embarking on her inaugural season in April 2025. As the second in MSC Cruises’ trailblazing World Class, the ship will be MSC Cruises’ largest U.S.-based vessel and redefine the cruise experience for her guests. The LNG-powered MSC World America will offer 7-night sailings departing on Saturdays to both eastern and western Caribbean ports, including San Juan, Puerto Rico; Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; Isla de Roatan, Honduras; and Ocean Cay.

MSC Seascape

MSC Seascape will also call the new PortMiami terminal home, offering a mix of 7-night itineraries in the eastern and western Caribbean along with new 3- and 4-night sailings to The Bahamas and Ocean Cay to meet the growing demand for mini-cruises. This marks the first time a Seaside EVO Class ship will offer short cruises from Miami. Select 3- and 4-night itineraries will stay overnight at Ocean Cay, giving guests more time to enjoy the cruise line’s private island with activities including a sunset champagne cruise, beachside stargazing and a lighthouse LED show.

MSC Meraviglia

MSC Meraviglia will offer guests 7-night itineraries from New York City to Florida and The Bahamas. Notable stops include Port Canaveral (Florida), Nassau and Ocean Cay (The Bahamas). Additionally, pink sand beaches and adventures await guests on 6- and 7-night itineraries to Bermuda. Guests will love spending several nights at the Royal Naval Dockyard with ample time to explore the island’s unique blend of cultures.

From Port Canaveral, MSC Seashore will sail a range of itinerary options, including short 3- and 4-night escapes to The Bahamas. Some of the ship’s 7-night itineraries start out with two days at Ocean Cay followed by stops in Cozumel and Costa Maya.

Lokono Cove At Celebration Key Will Showcase Bahamian Culture

Lokono Cove, Retail Portal Visual Still
Lokono Cove, Retail Portal Visual Still

Carnival Cruise Line’s new exclusive destination on Grand Bahama Celebration Key will feature a retail portal that has been named Lokono Cove with help from a Grand Bahama resident. Lokono Cove is the winning submission from a community competition that was supported by the Ministry for Grand Bahama and the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture. Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy announced the name today at the Seatrade Cruise Global conference in Miami Beach.

Lokono Cove At Celebration Key

At Lokono Cove, one of the five portals of Celebration Key, a variety of stores and kiosks will join an authentic Bahamian artisan market showcasing local craftsmanship. Guests will browse through locally crafted goods, admiring the work of Bahamian artists. Guests will find everything from souvenirs to fine jewelry at Lokono Cove, but the portal will showcase Bahamian culture beyond the goods on display. Music will guide guests beneath swaying palm trees beside vibrant murals, each meticulously painted by talented Bahamian artists, to create a backdrop for indulging in local snacks.

Showcasing Bahamian Culture

A selection committee, including local Grand Bahama officials and representatives of the cultural and creative industries, helped to choose the name Lokono Cove, submitted by Deidre Rahming, as part of a competition open to all Grand Bahamians. Lokono means “the people” and is derived from the Lucayans, who were among the first to call Grand Bahama home. Historians describe the Lucayans as a gentle and creative community of artisans who excelled at basket-weaving, pottery and painting.

“Lokono Cove will be a treasure trove – a place for our guests to immerse themselves in the spirit of The Bahamas and find locally-inspired keepsakes, symbols of paradise they can share with loved ones, or cherish for themselves for years to come,” Duffy said. “Honoring the beauty and culture of the Bahamas is integral to our plans for Celebration Key, and that will be on display throughout Lokono Cove. It’s a special honor that locals from Grand Bahama have contributed already in an impactful way, giving this portal its name.”

Additionally, Lokono Cove will serve as the gateway to Grand Bahama outside of Celebration Key. Whether guests choose to set out on their own or through Carnival Adventures shore excursions, Lokono Cove will be the departure point for guests looking to explore other areas of the beautiful island.

For submitting the winning name, Rahming will receive B$5,000 cash; attendance at the ribbon cutting ceremony for Lokono Cove including transportation, food and beverage; and a day-pass to Celebration Key, along with drink vouchers, food and a cabana.

Celebration Key – Coming in Summer 2025

Carnival Cruise Line’s NEW! Celebration Key

Lokono Cove joins Paradise Plaza, which will serve as a welcome area, and Calypso Lagoon, the adult-friendly area as three of the five portals. Carnival will share details soon on two more portals, a family-friendly area and an adults-only private retreat. Celebration Key is scheduled to welcome its first guests in July 2025, and more than 500 itineraries currently open for sale feature visits to the new destination on 18 ships sailing from 10 U.S. homeports.

Viking® has announced that for the first time it is offering guests destination-focused experiences in Mongolia with the new Spirit of Mongolia extension program. The five-night, fully guided Pre or Post extension will allow guests to further immerse themselves in the rich traditions of the region, from the ancient city of Ulaanbaatar to the Gobi Desert. The Spirit of Mongolia and a variety of other Pre and Post extensions, including Hong Kong and Beijing, are available for Viking’s new, first-of-their-kind China itineraries: Best of ChinaChina DiscoveryClassic China & the Coast and Wonders of China.

New Mongolia Extension for China Voyages

“We were proud to announce our new China ocean voyages recently, and we are now pleased to offer guests our first experiences in Mongolia,” said Torstein Hagen, Chairman of Viking. “Our guests are curious travelers who are interested in experiences that broaden their minds. With its geographic diversity and incredible history, Mongolia is an extraordinary destination making it a natural extension to our new China itineraries.”

Guests booked on the five-night Spirit of Mongolia Pre or Post extension will begin their journey in the city of Ulaanbaatar, where they will meet their Viking Representative and explore the sites of the city – including the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, Mongolia’s largest and most contemporary cultural institution, then step behind the scenes for a look at fossil specimens and more in the paleontology lab.

After a day exploring the city, guests will continue their journey on to Dalanzadgad, where they will transfer to the award-winning Three Camel Lodge, an eco-lodge nestled in the foothills of the Altai Mountains in the Gobi Desert near the Gurvan Saikhan National Park. At the Three Camel Lodge, guests will enjoy comfortable accommodations in their own ger, an authentic yurt updated with modern amenities. For three days, guests may partake in lodge activities at their own pace including archery, a camel safari or an exploration of the famous Flaming Cliffs. Guests can also choose to join fellow early risers for a sunrise trek through the desert hills with a naturalist guide or take in panoramic views of the steppe from Bulagtai Mountain to examine ancient petroglyphs. Alternatively, guests can learn the secrets of making buuz (steamed dumplings) from the lodge’s Mongolian chef. Following their time in the Gobi Desert, guests will return to Ulaanbaatar for additional exploration for one night before continuing their journey home or embarking on their Viking voyage in China.

In addition to the new Spirit of Mongolia extension, Viking is offering four other immersive Pre and Post extensions for guests looking to explore more of China. Admire the towering skyscrapers and energy of Hong Kong, a metropolis steeped in commerce and culture, while tranquil Guilin captivates with karst mountains, serene rivers and ancient caves. The 4-night extension is available on the Classic China & the Coast and China Discovery itineraries.

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has revealed fresh, new culinary and beverage experiences debuting aboard Norwegian Aqua, the Company’s next evolution new build and first vessel of the expanded Prima Plus Class, setting sail in April 2025.

Culinary Experiences To Debut Aboard Norwegian Aqua

In line with the Company’s commitment to delivering the ultimate vacation experience, Norwegian Aqua will boast three brand-new onboard offerings including Sukhothai, NCL’s first-ever Thai specialty restaurant; Swirl Wine Bar, a new, upscale wine bar; and Planterie, the Brand’s first dedicated eatery offering a full plant-based menu; in addition to returning guest favorites.

Sukhothai

“Discovering new flavors and dining experiences is such a memorable part of any vacation, especially when you share it with those who matter most to you,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “Expanding on our award-winning food and beverage program, we’re looking forward to bringing new concepts to life aboard Norwegian Aqua, while continuing to deliver on the variety of available offerings and value that NCL delivers.”

Brand-New Culinary and Bar Experiences

Norwegian Aqua’s Exciting Dining & Bar Options

Making its debut on the all-new Norwegian Aqua is Sukhothai, the Company’s first-ever Thai specialty restaurant, featuring an eclectic menu with authentic, traditional offerings with creative, dynamic flavors. Guests can look forward to a new spin on traditional staples, such as Thai Cashew Chicken; Salt and Pepper Prawns; Thai Grilled Steak Salad; a variety of complementing curries and so much more. Décor imagined by the London-based SMC Design firm, the upscale dining venue will boast a harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary Thai design elements. When guests walk into Sukhothai on deck 17, they will be greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere of bamboo and rice paper pendant lights; a striking geometric patterned floor; and colorful furniture transporting diners to the culturally rich country of Thailand.

Planterie

At the returning guest-favorite Indulge Food Hall, a new eatery, Planterie, will offer plant-based bowls and other healthy options. Located on deck eight, Planterie’s menu will include dishes such as the Southwest Bowl with smoked tempeh and the Mediterranean Goddess Bowl filled with delicious, spiced vegetables, tabbouleh and honey-roasted carrots. Offering indoor and outdoor seating, Indulge Food Hall will boast a brand-new design by New York-based firm, Rockwell Group, with 10 food stations drawing inspiration from international food marketplaces from around the world. Notable architectural features include deep wood accents; gold and metal furnishings; and warm yet colorful tones that flow seamlessly throughout the venue.

Swirl Wine Bar

Also premiering aboard Norwegian Aqua is Swirl Wine Bar, a contemporary wine lounge that strikes the perfect balance between exclusivity and approachability for a unique, intimate experience tucked away on deck six between the popular Whiskey Bar and Hasuki, the hibachi-style restaurant. The hidden enclave will feature a comprehensive wine-by-the-glass menu, and an extensive list of rare and premium vintages. Designed by the Miami-based Studio DADO firm, the venue’s architecture is inspired by the captivating beauty and curvature of the geologically stunning Antelope Canyon in Arizona, with warm color hues complemented by cascading horizontal lines and serene blue touches create a perfectly inviting and enchanting space for guests to unwind.

Elevated, Redesigned Venues

From new designs to expanded seating, the all-new Norwegian Aqua will feature enhanced restaurants and lounges previously debuted on the Prima Class. From the creative minds of Studio DADO, one of the ship’s main complimentary dining rooms, the Commodore Room, will now feature a rustic yet luxurious design inspired by its sea-faring namesake. Paying homage to the imaginative narrative of the captain’s room, the venue will transport guests to the past times of maritime sophistication with antique wood furnishings; leather banquettes; floors that mimic the lines of a pier; and incredible stone accents, all with a delicate, modern touch.

Metropolitan, NCL’s modern Sail & Sustain cocktail bar, which won the 2024 Vibe Vista Award for “Best Beverage Program,” will return aboard Norwegian Aqua and boast a distinct new design from other Prima Class vessels. Relocating from mid-ship to the aft of deck seven, the innovative bar will now feature a grand piano and a small entertainment space for guests to enjoy live music with their Sail & Sustain cocktails, biodynamic wines and sustainably produced liquors. Inspired by the art deco and mid-century modern areas of New York City, Studio DADO crafted an intimate enclave with dark hues, eye-catching motifs and fresh greenery offering an easy-going ambience for guests engaging in a nightly beverage.

Nama Sushi and Sashimi, which first debuted on Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva, will now feature a fresh, lively design by Studio DADO aboard Norwegian Aqua. Introducing a new color palette, the space draws inspiration from the vibrant world of Manga art. Guests can expect a playful dining experience surrounded by bold colors of lime green and black.

Surfside Café

Located on deck 17, Surfside Café will boast floor-to-ceiling windows, providing guests with scenic views as they enjoy an expansive and diverse buffet-style dining experience. Featuring a new design by London-based design firm, A.D. Associates, the three-meal a day venue will showcase warm colors, sunset tones and timeless color palettes. Next door, offering the same panoramic views as Surfside Café, the upscale, Mediterranean seafood dining venue of the Prima Class, Palomar, will feature an elevated design with natural materials, such as rope and wood accents complemented by pops of blue and dark purple shades.

Aboard Norwegian Aqua, Whiskey Bar will relocate to deck six near the brand-new Swirl Wine Bar, while Belvedere Bar will move to deck eight at the heart of the atrium, where guests can revel in night caps and nightly entertainment.

Penrose Bar and Waves Pool Bar will also feature new designs, and venues such as The Local Bar & Grill, NCL’s 24-hour pub-style restaurant, Hasuki, a lively Japanese hibachi experience, and Cagney’s, NCL’s signature upscale American steakhouse, will be expanded to accommodate even more guests.

Returning Guest-Favorites

In addition to unveiling new food and beverage experiences and designs, guest-favorite restaurants will return to Norwegian Aqua such as Hudson’s, the elevated, main complimentary dining room offering 270⁰ of scenic views; Le Bistro, the high-end French restaurant inspired by the Palace of Versailles; Los Lobos, the contemporary, authentic Mexican dining venue with outdoor seating; and Onda by Scarpetta, the upscale Italian restaurant, which also offers al fresco dining on Ocean Boulevard.

Are Casino Cruise Ships Worthy of Considering

Best Casino Entertainment
In a first for Celebrity Cruises, Ascent will feature an all-new Casino gaming floor complete with a new layout, new design featuring deep reds and golds, and all new slot machines with the latest technology

The whole leisure industry was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic a few years back, but these days are fully recovered. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the cruise industry, with ships once more making their way along the seas and rivers of the world, from the Yangtze to the Nile. There’s something for just about everyone to enjoy in these floating hotels, and one of the more recent additions to some cruise vessels is casino gaming.

Cruise Travel and Casinos

While certainly not universal, many cruise ships include a casino among their litany of entertainment options. Slot machines are the most popular gaming category at land-based casinos and are typically available at casinos that are hosted aboard a cruise ship. Card sharks will usually be able to find their game of choice, too, as poker and blackjack are top picks among table games, with roulette and craps often accessible as well. Because so many players on a ship are newcomers to betting, a cruise is the perfect setting to try new things, and this can make for an ideal setting to learn the ropes in a low-stress atmosphere.

One unique aspect of cruise ship casinos is that they are subject to a variety of national laws, which means gaming may well be impossible when in port. Playing when in international waters is more straightforward.

Online Casinos

In addition to playing games in person, many players like to place bets at online casinos. There are various advantages to this alternative means of betting, including the fact online casinos are open 24/7 and can be accessed at the player’s convenience. Because games are digital, there’s an effectively unlimited number of slots and tabletop games, while live dealer games replicate the atmosphere of a real casino without the hassle of travel time or opening hours. Many games have free demo modes that enable players to take a game for a test drive to see if they like it, and low-deposit real-money casinos with minimum deposit of as low as $1. Better yet, almost all online casinos offer generous promotions to new players, which greatly increase the chance of making profits.</p>

Enjoy New Experiences on a Cruise

One of the great pleasures of cruising is that it enables guests to participate in new activities and experience new diversions. These could be the start of a lifelong love affair with a new pastime or simply a one-off holiday amusement, much as many people who otherwise never gamble like to place wagers when visiting Las Vegas. Casinos are just one of the many forms of entertainment that cruise present for the delight of guests.

Trying out a wide array of new styles of cuisine is eminently possible while on a cruise, and is a great way to broaden one’s culinary horizons. For those who prefer liquid refreshments, cruise ships are often furnished with an array of bars, including sports or wine bars. Nightclubs are also a possible venue for relaxation and live music. Another diversion can come in the form of live performances, including musicals, magic shows, and comedy routines, bringing theatrical thrills to the audience. While not universal, many cruise ships have particular stars as the mainstay of their musical performances, which can be a highlight for guests.

In addition to excellent live entertainment options, there are more active types of diversion in which to participate. On a cruise, those with the energy to burn have plenty of choices, from sports courts to frolicking in the pool to have fun and stay in shape. The majority of cruise ships feature fitness centers which are free to use, making it easy to pump iron and build muscle or use exercise bikes and other machines to burn off calories and keep trimming. But for those who really like to take it easy, spas and wellness centers present the perfect opportunity to sink into tranquility and let one’s worries fade away. In short, casinos on cruise ships are a lot of fun and just one of many diversions and entertainment options available for guests.

Visiting Land-Based Casinos

The great advantage a cruise holds over other forms of vacation is its continual movement, which is why they are so popular from the rising power of China to the United States and all points in between. This unique form of getaway presents guests with consistently high-quality dining and accommodation while also providing new locations to explore without the hassle of arranging transportation. River cruises can see vessels take their passengers on famous waterways all over the world, including the Nile (arguably the most significant river in world history) and the Danube, which carves its path through ten European countries.

This means there’s an ever-changing array of cultural and historical sites to see on a cruise. Among these are live entertainment venues for musicals, concerts, dramas, tragedies, opera, and comedy. Travelers can also take the chance to visit brick-and-mortar casinos, so even guests on a cruise ship without a casino often have ample opportunity to try their hand at cards or slots while on the move.

The entertainment options of a cruise ship combined with the ever-changing location make them unbeatable when it comes to mixing convenience with luxury. Casino games are just one fun facet of this excellent approach to vacations.

MSC Cruises has revealed that its newest flagship, MSC World America, will feature seven distinct districts, allowing guests of all ages to choose their own vacation experience and get the most out of their time onboard. Each district features its own atmosphere, facilities and adventures waiting to be explored—all of which will help guests experience a new world of cruising.

Seven Distinct Districts

During her inaugural season starting in April 2025, MSC World America will sail from Miami with 7-night itineraries to some of the most sought-after destinations in the Eastern and Western Caribbean, with stops at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve – MSC Cruises’ unique private island paradise in The Bahamas.

Discover MSC World America’s seven districts:

MSC YACHT CLUB

MSC Cruises’ signature ship-within-a-ship experience offers a private and secluded retreat. This guest-favorite makes up MSC World America’s seventh district with a world of privacy, exclusivity and luxury in a relaxed and elegant atmosphere.

Guests staying within the MSC Yacht Club will enjoy personalized attention, with 24/7 butler service, priority embarkation and disembarkation, exclusive lounge and dining areas, and more. MSC Yacht Club guests will have an exclusive escape from the rest of the ship, while still enjoying all the other amenities that MSC World America has to offer.

FAMILY AVENTURA

Families can create memories that will last a lifetime as they dive into their own dedicated district of fun at Family Aventura, located on the ship’s top deck. Family Aventura is centered around The Harbor, a revolutionary new outdoor park where families can play together, grab drinks and snacks, and soak up the sun. The Harbor offers an exhilarating high ropes course and a state-of-the-art attraction that will be the first of its kind at sea, along with a family area and a playground modeled after the iconic lighthouse at Ocean Cay.

Family Aventura is also home to Doremiland, the action-packed kids area with incredible facilities featuring age-appropriate activities for everyone from babies to teenagers. The district’s nearby bumper cars, roller rink, high-thrill water slides and dry slide make Family Aventura the perfect place for families to vacation together.

AQUA DECK

Relax and unwind at the Aqua Deck, the go-to destination for the ultimate pool day at sea. The ship’s two spectacular main pools are surrounded by a versatile pool deck whose mood changes throughout the day, providing a vibrant oasis for all types of guests.

Revitalizing wellness offerings and a tranquil atmosphere in the morning transition to an upbeat and entertaining vibe throughout the afternoon, followed by high-energy parties at night.

ZEN AREA

High up at the stern of the ship lies the adults-only Zen Area, an exclusive enclave for relaxation and rejuvenation. It is the ideal spot for quiet sunbathing and swimming with breathtaking ocean views.

Guests can unwind under the sun or stars by the twin pools and enjoy light music in a spot where tranquility meets sophistication.

GALLERIA

This bustling district at the heart of the ship beats with excitement as guests navigate a sea of possibilities. Lined with dining options, exclusive shopping, and exhilarating games, the space is perfect for enjoying live music at the Dolce Vita Bar, afternoon coffee and sweet treats at Jean Philippe Chocolat & Café, and grab-and-go favorites around the clock at Luna Park Pizza & Burger.

Galleria also includes the MSC Luna Park Arena, a high-tech entertainment venue perfect for hosting themed parties and gameshows.

THE TERRACES

A night of fun is always on tap at The Terraces, with nine restaurants and bars, four retail shops and a comedy club that also serves up dueling pianos and late-night karaoke. This district blends avant-garde dining concepts with a range of entertainment options aimed at adults in a mix of indoor and outdoor venues.

Guests can start their day by grabbing a smoothie at the juice bar, browse watches and jewelry in the shops, and round out their evening with a delicious dinner in one of the five specialty restaurants, serving dishes from around the world. High-energy DJ sets and laugh-out-loud comedy will be available to cap off the night.

PROMENADE

The lively outdoor Promenade is a vibrant space with spectacular views, framed by a spiral architectural masterpiece—the thrilling 11-deck dry slide. The Promenade features the authentic Emporium coffee bar with selections from around the world, lively evening activities, and drink and dinner options—all accompanied by the sights and sounds of the ocean.

Environmental Information

MSC World America is carefully designed to help reduce her impact on the environment. The ship runs on LNG, a lower-emissions fuel, and is ready for renewable energy sources. Shore power connectivity, where available, reduces emissions by allowing the ship’s engines to be switched off in port. Smart technology is used throughout the ship to ensure guests can travel in comfort while keeping energy and water use low. A robust onboard recycling program minimizes waste, and even the propellers are designed to reduce noise and avoid disturbing marine life.

Today, Holland America Line will have two ships, Koningsdam and Zaandam, positioned off the coast of Mexico for an ideal viewing of the total eclipse. Thanks to this positioning, guests will be some of the first to see totality, weather permitting.

Here is your chance to watch this historic event from aboard a Holland America Line ship without the need for any fancy glasses, all from the convience of your home.

A livestream of the event aboard Koningsdam will begin at approximately 10:20 a.m. PST at the following link: https://fb.me/e/1ZJA7i7t9

Holland America Line Ships Live Stream

“Our guests will be some of the first to see the eclipse in totality and everyone aboard Zaandam will be working to make that experience extremely special for them—including everyone on the bridge. Our plan is to put ourselves in the path of the eclipse before it starts and be right on the center path when it’s at full totality. We’ll most likely be maintaining a low speed, keeping the sun straight ahead or astern to ensure the best view.” said, Zaandam Captain Ane Smit.

A Historic Event For Many

Dr. Adam Burgasser, a professor of Astronomy and Astrophysics, observational astrophysicist, and science lecturer will be aboard Koningsdam’s eclipse cruise said, “This first total solar eclipse in North America in seven years is something people around the world — including astronomers — are excited to observe, and there’s no better place to see the eclipse than at sea. Not only will the Sun be blocked for over 4 minutes, turning day into night, the entire environment will change — the air will cool, plants and animals will react, and the world around us will take on a cosmic stillness. Moreover, at sea we’ll be able to view the eclipse from horizon to horizon, discerning the edge of the Sun’s shadow that will appear as a 360-degree twilight.”

Be sure to set your clocks and don’t miss this amazing event and what it looks like to see a total eclipse while at sea aboard none other than a Holland America Line ship.
