Yes, I am lurking!! Just heard from the D+ desk and got an upgrade to a JS! HOORAY! Deck 9, midship, room 9624. First time in along time for a D+ upgrade for us.....

So far, there are plenty of suites available on our June Alaska......but none left for the September 14 dayer. Not holding my breath.....and I don't really care anymore.

People are really starting to kick RCCL on CC......I've never seen it where people are talking about Carnival so positively compared to RCCL before. I think the prices are making people try other lines and they seem to come back quite happy.

CONGRATS Rita............I am so impressed and surprised you got a call...........I think most ships arent sailing full these days..........glad you got an upgrade.....hate when those with just a few get one..............

Matt had airfare credit to use up,San..........and saw it was only like $300 to flight to Rome so he went for a long weekend.........just for fun......(and to eat lots of gelato--hahah)

FINALLY got a tag......well, its a temporary but the real one should be here tomorrow or Wed, the latest...........but now he can work again......hes outside working on the truck now...brought it home to put all his stuff in it and to install a new CB...........


I rarely even read CC these days........only time to is post on one roll call I am on plus a few others..........maybe 5 threads altogether.........I post and leave........dont even read the main boards anymore.............

I was really surprised when they called. I was checking availability earlier today, and they had 7 JS's available, and they still had a suite guarantee and a balcony guarantee, so I figured they would just upgrade the balcony guarantees to the JS's. They never did call about our amenity, but they took care of that with another phone call earlier today. We had a nice D1 on deck 9, also right near the CL, but this one is pretty centrally located, on the hump and near the CL. Now I'll wait and see if Revenue upgrades us to one of the available GS's, but that wouldn't happen until next week, if at all.

Tony, I'm sure the 14 day cruise attracts many D+ cruisers, but the earlier one might have some upgrade capabilities. I can usually see more cabins than are shown on the RCI website, so remind me when you are two weeks out, and I'll see what's available.

PH, congrats on getting the truck on the road....it has really been a long haul...no pun intended.

PH, as a RC, aren't you supposed to be reading the main board and responding positively? There are so many threads now about the merits of Princess and Carnival on the RCCL board.........I would think that RCCL has to be a little concerned. Of course, they are now lowering prices, so maybe that's the answer.

We'll see about an upgrade....not holding my breath. I got a really bad taste from that time that they gave me an upgrade then took it away (2006).....I remember the hassle you had squaring it away Rita......I'm not doing that again. If they treat me right, I'll keep cruising with them, but I'm not going to beg...... if not.....well, there's always Celebrity.....we enjoyed our cruise on CEL......the only real downside was no balcony discount......anfd that doesn't matter so much anymore. OK, I'm curtailing the bitchin' until tomorrow when I will be back with more energy

Stopped by to see if San needed any help with the RCs...but I see that he is holding his own.

Glad to see someone get an upgrade...Our last cruise on the Mariner in October just wasn't as fun as the previous 2...you just felt the difference.

Having problems with my PC, which I hardly use anymore...can't get it to connect to the internet. Can't be the modem or the router as I have no problems with the laptop...of course the PC is 5 or 6 years old, so it just may be "done." I can get all my programs, so may go out and get a external drive to save everything so I have a back up, in case the internet problem goes into a hard drive problem.

PQ~~the other day Dennis puter got zapped........we had slight power outages and his got it......even though it was on a surge protector.......so we dismantled it and off to the landfill it went............now he uses his laptop or my desktop(cuz mine is attached to the printer).....................g/l with yours........


Well, Dennis will be working Thursday............actually he leaves tomorrow for Key west..........woohoo...........he is very glad to finally be making money again......................

Well guess maybe I'll get back to the gym this am.............I've just been a big blob this past week............
