I'm here, just been busy.

BB, please say it isn't so.........I think the new NCL ship is UGLY, and I don't think you'd be happy on NCL. Princess maybe, but not NCL. And prices seem to be lower on RCI than on the other lines lately, and at least I can get the price reduction right up until sailing on RCI.......can't do that on other lines.

Saw my RCI Business Development Manager today for a couple of hours and got lots of info that I'll send you guys in an e-mail. I think you'll be happy to hear what she had to say.......now we just have to wait and see if they'll put their money where their mouth is.

San, any news on Marcia & Carl.

Have decided to do MTD on our transatlantic cruise. Two couples picked early seating and two picked late, so by picking MTD we can get together once or twice on the cruise, and the rest of the time we'll just do when we want. Haven't told Bill as yet, but I don't think he'll care. We really enjoyed MTD on the Navigator. I've tried to get my group to take it for the repo, but so far no takers.
Everyone wants to know what the others are doing, and so far, 16 have asked to sit at my table.
Can't keep everyone happy, so I don't know what will happen. We have one couple who usually sits with us, and he is a very s....l.....o.....w eater. To make matters worse, he orders two of everything, appetizers, soups, salads, etc., and we all have to sit and wait while he eats. We are usually running to catch the 10:45 show, so you know he's very slow. I can't sit for two hours without squirming, and I loved that MTD had us in and out in about one hour. I think I'll just have to make sure they sit at another table, but they'll be mad at me. I want to tell them why, but they won't take it well, and no one else will want to sit with them. I tried to suggest they do MTD, but they want to do what everyone else is doing

Well, time to do something about dinner.

I LOVE MTD and prefer to do that on any cruise I go on.....................like you said,it doesnt take as long to get all your food.............I agree what aPITA it is to organize such a large group..................I think 4 is a good number(dont ya agree BB?)

dinner tonite is leftover(been in the freezer) stuffed cabbage casserole.................didnt know Dennis would be home till last minute,so thats what he'll get...........I'll make him a salad and some veggies too..............if it was up to me,I wouldnt even bother.............just pick at stuff or maybe go get some steamed dumplings from the Chinese food place.................love em!

Marcia is still in the hospital getting the treatment and rest that she needs. Carl is being moved to an assisted living facility while Marcia is still in the hospital. I hear that Carl is very frail and not doing well at all.

OK, Rita, because you're my buddy, send the name and email of the slow eater and I'll do the rest for you.

Thanks for the email......'bout time they starting thinking smarter instead of the arrogance I've seen in the last year or so. I just hope that they don't do something to cause more CL crowding again.

Our prayers and hearts go out to Carl and Marcia............poor marcia must be beside herself knowing where Carl is..........while she is stuck at the hospital getting better herself..

Thanks for the update on Marcia & Carl, San. I too send my prayers and thoughts up their way. I'm sure this is all very frustrating for Marcia. I bet she'll be chomping at the bit to get out of the hospital soon. She's really where she needs to be though. Otherwise she never slows down.

Made snow crabs, corn on the cob & new potatoes for dinner. Yummy! No leftovers from that meal!

Time to call it a night here. Been watching the special about JK Rawlings. ABC timed that right with the release of the new movie.

Good morning!

Of course Bert still gets the crab legs from Albertson's. They had them last week for $3.99/lb! If you didn't mind, they had what they call broken legs where pieces have broken off the frozen legs. Those they sell for less than $3/lb! Kris usually tries to pick them up during the sale. Nothing wrong with them and it saves you the trouble of breaking the legs up to eat!

We actually didn't get any rain yesterday. Surprise surprise ... We did have one heck of a light show though with lots of cloud to cloud lightening for hours last night. That is so cool to watch. I hope there's no rain tonight as it's trivia night at the Grill. We've got to redeem ourselves from last time. WE WILL WIN TONIGHT!!!!

I'd be lost if our Albertson's ever closed. They have such great specials. A few weeks ago it was buy one London Broil & get 2 free. Boy, did we take advantage of that one. The ribs the other night were from the same kind of deal. This week there really isn't anything I want or need. Bert's glas to hear that for a change!!:lol

San - Thanks for the update on Marcia. She and Carl have been through so much this past year. They both need to get healthy again.

You just have to head down this way one of these days and we can go to Bahama Breeze. I love their patio area during the day and in the evening. You really feel like you're in the Caribbean with the music they play out there.

So what are you waiting for? Just name the day and we can be there. I haven't been to the outlets there since they enlarged the place. I usually end up heading directly for the Coach and Mikasa stores.
I saw on the news last night that the church (Mary Queen of the Universe) between BB & the outlets has just been named the only basilica (sp?) in the US by the Pope. We've never stopped to check it out, but Bert's cousin did last year.

Good morning all,

I know just the outlet mall you are talking about.....we've stayed at the Marriott Village which is right behind BB and on the same street as the Outlet Mall. Traffic on that road during a rainy day or Sunday is horrific!

Last night we went to a local dinner theater and had a great time. Had a female singer who did Connie Francis, Patsy Cline, Bette Midler and many others. Then had a male impressionist who did great impressions of everyone.....except his Frank Sinatra was awful. Sammy Davis, Dean Martin, Louis Armstrong and all the rest were great. Had a nice dinner there, too, so I didn't have to cook. YEAH!

Temps are finally reaching summer levels and humidity is creeping back up, but we got our electric bill the other day and it was half the price of last year's June, so I guess there is a bright side to all of this.

Glad to hear that Marcia might be able to come home soon, thanks for the updates Tony.

Have to head for the Plaza to pick up a gfit certificate for a friend who's birthday we'll be celebrating tomorrow. Talk with you all later.
