Not so sure I'll be up for the launch....and Im not sure how cloudy it is anyway...........night launches are the best!

We play BINGO in one of the rooms in the amenity center. It's not very big and fits about 30 people max. They tried having BINGO at the Grill 2 years ago. We had a couple of grouchy old ladies that did nothing but b*tch about having to walk from the parking lot to the Grill. Give me a break. These same two (mother and daughter) are all over WalMart and Publix every day. They complained enough that it was moved back inside and has been there since. Used to like it at the Grill because you could order food or a drink while playing.

Stayed up for the launch...glad I did...........it was amazing......too bad,its the last night one............those are the best!

No plans for today...........except for Dennis putting a garbage disposal in for his folks.......theirs broke and he told them no sense paying someone to do it,when he can.............

Good morning! Slow start around here today after staying up for the launch last night. We went over by Lake Toho to watch it. It was absolutely spectacular. I love night launches ... You can see the shuttle for so long and are able to see the booster rockets drop off. Too bad this is to be the last night launch. I'm glad the clouds cleared away so we had a perfect view. Next best thing to being at the Cape. Plus we didn't have to fight the traffic coming home!

Nothing much going on here today except going out for dinner with G&K at 6:30. We're meeting them at Crabby Bill's, but we're going early to have a drink to fortify before the kids get there!:wild: LOL

Dropped Dennis at the inlaws...didnt feel like sitting there while he replaces the garbage disposal.........Im sure it wont go easy.does anything??

Yea, we commented about the boosters dropping off........amazing.......

I believe I mentioned that our daughter and family are going with us on the Monarch. Could you please tell me if they have a soft serve ice cream machine or not. My daughter read that they don't, Her children will be disappointed if they don't have one. Anything of interest that you can tell us would be appreciated.

Good morning all and BYEEEEEEEEE Rita and Bill.......Not sure when you are leaving,but I know most flights to Europe leave at night..in any case, have fun!

Today should be a stay at home and get stuff done day.....I have a list for Dennis...:clap: I wrote on top IN CASE YOU'RE BORED!!:wild:

Can not believe we only have 2 more days of August........I want summer back.......I know we'll still have the nice weather,but I like it being lighter out later......we sat outside last night and it was dark a little after 8....hate that!

I did just that twice Janet(get in the Digs for free).........most recently 2 weeks ago............you have to wait till after 5(or it may be 6 cuz thats when we got in there)..........while we waited,we played the slots(I also played roulette) and got free drinks.........even on the penny machines!! haha

anyway,you can see the sealife clearly.........and after we walked thru that part,we went outside to the pool area............no one stopped us.....heck, a photographer even took our pics and told us where and when we could buy it...........

Making a new recipe today from the latest Kraft mag....lasagna in the crock pot........gotta love crock pot meals!

Hope this is not a double post, but, every time I try to reply today, it gets lost. Thank you for the reply about Atlantis also. We paid to see it several years ago, and did not want to pay again. So, this is good news as we are trying not to spend much extra on this cruise. I'm sure the boys will enjoy it. Hope your crock pot meal is delicious. Have a great Sunday.

Went to a plant sale at the Ag center on Sat... it was just to blasted hot to stay very long..didn't buy anything..they are having another sale in Oct. so maybe it will be cooler then..

How was the crockpot lasagna? I used to get the Kraft Mag...now I see they charge for it... guess that explains why I haven't gotten one lately..

PH - Yeah, how was that crockpot lasagna? I looked at that recipe too. There weren't that many good recipes in this issue in my opinion.

Guys are working on the screen enclosure next door, so no peace and quiet for me today.

Think I'll be nice & make Bert some apple pancakes for breakfast. Boy, will he be surprised!!!

Home from my hair cut............always feels so good.....

The lasagna was pretty good...........just next time,I'll add more sauce and seasoning...........spice it up a bit...but it looked just a real lasagna..........

I got a card with this last issue saying I'd have to start paying............No thanks!

KC-we get most of our plants on the clearance racks at Lowes.......most have come back with some TLC........its the racks closest to the pool supply aisle..........they dont always have them....keep looking........

BB-glad you're feeling better today...................nice of you to make pancakes for Bert.............

Dennis is pressure washing the pool deck............he rather be working,but there was nothing for today..........

BB, pancakes sound good.. I've never had apple pancakes before!

Ph, maybe I will check out Lowes this weekend.. is your pressure washer gas or electric? And if it's elec. do you know how many psi it is? I've been wanting to get one for around the house...but some of the cheaper ones don't have much more pressure than a garden hose...

Pancakes were ok, but weren't perfect. Laurie had asked me the other day if I had Bert's mother's recipe for apple pancakes. Even though I had watched her make them many times, I never got the real recipe. I told Laurie I'd work on it and get back to her. Thus today, Bert was my taste tester. That wasn't good because he told me they all tasted good. Wrong!!! Too cake-like. They're supposed to be real thin. I think I finally was getting it right when I ran out of batter. I'll try to make them again another day and see what happens. Oh, and you don't put syrup on these. You sprinkle the pancake with cinnamon sugar. If made right, they're great.

Now that you know more about these pancakes than you ever wanted to!!!:wild:

Bet I would like those panckes,BB..........My grandma used to make thin ones(Swedish style) and we would just put sugar on them...........Im not a regular pancake fan..too thick for me.......

KC~~we have a gas pressure washer.........we used to have a smaller electric one but when it died,we upped it to something more powerful...........Dennis is gonna get up on the roof soon and do that too......

We just bought mulch and 3 butterfly plants............it was so hot putting it all out,I had to come in and take a shower.............its miserable out there.......


Had 5 Guys for lunch..............yummy.........

Went to Target and BB and B.......on a mission to find tall latte mugs(solid colors) to match our Fiestaware stuff(without the fiestaware price)...........NO luck anywhere.........even tried Bealls and Walmart..........we have 4 mugs now,but seems they are always in the dishwasher.............
