Kathie: I never got your reply to my eMail. I found the address somewhere else, so all is good.

I'd gut it out for the money if I was Tiger.....paid off for him......he's got another knee anyway.

Quick hello...almost forgot about this thread. Hope you are all well...You both are playing nice...as opposed to other threads :lol This is my Friday, so looking forward to my 3 day weekend. Having my carpets cleaned tomorrow and then will do some "guest" cleaning...having people over on Saturday. A group of friends are going on the same cruise that Gary and I just went on...so we are going to tell them the good, the bad, and the so-so. I printed up the daily programs and will be putting together a slideshow (hopefully) of our pictures.
Well, better go and do something productive...I'll try not to forget to post here.

Hello folks.

Back from the EYE EXAM and my eyes are DILATED and the screen is flashing and jumping around from it.
I LOVE the new Dr I went to. Jill and her entire family go there and I'm so glad to be going to a place that takes their time with the exam . I told everyone on the way out how WONDERFUL they were and to keep up the good work. :daisy

I think I'm going to get Lazik on my left eye and a Lazik touch-up on my right eye that already had RK surgery decades ago. Dr said it would help both the distance and reading. I told him I don't care what he does I just want to be able to pick up a book WITH or WITHOUT GLASSES and READ IT. I miss reading so much. He told me why I was having a hard time with it. Too long to explain on here.
So, a few thousand dollards later I'll be better off than I am now. Expensive...........YES.........but I'm worth it!! :loveya

PH: HOw neat that you got to see all those "famous" TV people in NYC. That's just too cool. Sounds like it was well worth you going. I'd fly to NYC in a heart-beat if the hotels were cheaper.

Later all..........my eyes are going crossed on me.

Hi PQ.....well, usually I am on my best behavior on this thread 'cause I like the people that post here. Just kidding....I like everybody.....well.....just about everybody.

It's over 100 degrees here today.......the kids are all coming for dinner and margaritas this evening. Nancy and I are going out to lunch.

Are your eyes better yet K2? I'm kind of afraid to have someone mess with my eyes with a laser. I don't really need it.....hope I never do....I just have to wear glasses when driving at night.

Dinner sounds good...when are the margarita's going into the blender? Are you using your new cordless blender :)o

Hot and hot today...did a bit of running around...it's nice to have a Friday off and get all the errands done before the weekend.

I picked up an S-video cable to see if I can hook up my laptop to our TV, as I want to have our cruise pictures show on the TV tomorrow night for the "cruise" party. No narrative or anything, just a continuous slideshow of the pictures.

See you later!

[large]PQ: Sounds like you're putting on a really nice presentation for your friends. Don't forget the Froo Froo Drinks and Umbrella's!! Hee Hee :)-D

SAN: The eyes are better, but this WHITE SCREEN is still dancing. I was lucky with my RK eye surgery years ago and it was great never having to wear contacts or glasses for all these years. Now that I'm OLDER they have changed a little for reading and hence the Lazik.
I think I would just DIE if it was 100 degrees here! Well, maybe for 1 day I could handle it, but I would surely be inside most of the time. Seems ashame we wait 4-5 months for Winter to leave and now we get stuck inside Air Conditioning because it's too HOT out. Something's wrong with that picture.

PH: Love all those pictures of the HUGE ship. I don't think it would ever have to leave the port. You could just walk around it and eat for 7 days!! :daisy How's Dennis doing with the truck?? Hope they got it fixed and it didn't cost too much.[/large]

Yep....using the new blender PQ.....starting at 6. We were going to use our Patio but it's 105 degrees out there [was only supposed to be 100!].

A big fire just started to the west of us about five or six miles. The CHP site shows multiple fires burning in the state. There's another one in Santa Cruz and one down by San Juan Batista 10 miles south.

Enjoy your cruise party,PQ...sounds like a fun time..

Actually, it's been at least 20 years since I had ONE eye done and that was with the old RK type
procedure. Just like getting new prescriptions for contacts or glasses as your eyes change you can TWEAK your eye surgery too. Since the left eye was never done before it's getting done because I'm older and the vision has changed as it does in most people over 55.
The Right eye was the eye that had RK surgery and does all the distance work. Now with the invention of Lasik surgery it's a totally different type of surgery. It is done under the Cornea by making a flap. The laser reshapes the tissue under it and then the flap is laid back in place. No stiches and it heals very fast. You see clearly within in hours if not sooner. Your eyes are amazing self healers. My surgery will correct the Astigmatism in the left eye and improve the vision in the right eye.

Every surgery has it's risks, but I've had such good luck and excellent vision and haven't had to spend money on contacts, solution or very many glasses up until I FINALLY got to the "age" where my eyes "changed" that it's worth the risk, time and money for me.
Jill use to have to wear eyeglasses that were as thick as COKE BOTTLE bottoms and then she went into Contacts. She could barely get from the bed to the bathroom without her contacts. So she opted for the Lasik surgery and loves it. Mark was the same way. And with his allergies wearing contacts was horrible during the Pollen Season. So I'll take the risk and hope for the best.

WOW........now that was a long explaination!! DUH!!
