Yes, K2, we're back. As usual, we had a fun time seeing NC friends (all former NJites!) and family. Joanne had a BBQ/wine tasting on Saturday which was a real hoot. Jeff actually broke out some of his "good stuff" only to find some of the wine had gone bad. We've been telling him for ages that he needs to use it or will lose it. He promises to do better. We'll see!
Sunday was kid visiting time. J&J's daughter and her family, as well as Brian & company all came over. J&J's SIL made quail what he had gotten when he was hunting here in Florida last winter. They were so good and went with the chicken & steak that was also on the table. We ate like pigs! It was so much fun watching Mallorie (almost 9 months) interacting with Joanne's grandson, Liam (10 months). They would hold hands and pass things to each other to play with. They were too cute! You do know that there will be a future marriage between them, right? Joanne & I decided it will happen right after Mallorie was born!
K2 - Glad the eyes are doing good after your surgery. Just think - Now you can see those squirrels in the bird feeder so much better!
Marcia - That's some week of running you've got going on! Just don't overdo it.
PH - A covered area by the pool would have been great, but I understand about the cost. We want to look into enlarging our deck and I dread hearing to cost.
Time to get a move on. I need to do some research on finding a new car!
