Bellalago Belle
2nd Officer
Good morning! You sure have been a chatty little group since last I posted. Lots to read this morning.
Kathy - Thanks for the update from Nancy. I haven't messaged her recently, so it's good to hear she's doing things and making decisions. That's a healthy sign. Sorry Old Nick isn't doing better. Will keep him in my prayers. That must have been some lucheon after the funeral the other day. Glad that even though you didn't go, you got some of the food, so you don't have to cook.
Dave - I love how you snoop on your neighbors and give us blow by blow descriptions on what is going on in that house behind you. Have you actually ever met the people? Might be a good idea and then you won't have to sneak looks at what is going on. They'd probably tell you, if you asked.
Karen - I hope that the pool deal can be worked out soon. Otherwise, by the time it's ready, we'll be into the heart of rainy and hurricane season. We only had a short light drizzle here yesterday. It certainly didn't ruin anything. Today there will be even less chance of rain and that's a good thing.
Lee - I would have loved to make an adult fruit cocktail, but don't forget, we have kids in the family. They really did a number on the strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. Definitely not very much left at all.
Our BBQ yesterday was so much fun that we will do it all over again today, but with G&E and the boys. There's still plenty of salads left, so there's not much I have to add to and that's a good thing.
I think I have got to finally make the decision to get rid of Cappi, much as it breaks my heart to do so. Once again, he bit through the oxygen line. I realized it when we were in bed and I suddenly was not getting anything through the line. I had to wake Bert up and he did an emergency repair of the line, so that I at least got some O2. Trouble with that was that I woke up every 2 hours all night long. Then around 7 I had to wake him up again as I was not getting any air. Turned out that there was a kink in the line cutting off the air flow. I am so tired today. I'm going to have to call the shelter tomorrow that does not put animals down and make an appointment to bring him there. You have no idea how hard this is going to be for me, but I can't go on knowing that he might bite the line at any time.
On that note, I'm going to get off here and enjoy a cup of coffee while Bert changes out the O2 line again. Have a wonderful day, everyone, even if you aren't going out to buy a mattress. Enjoy the day as you remember why we are celebrating today.
