Howdy, you adorable Wabbits!

So nice seeing Meghan & Harry with a new daughter "Lili". Then I asked myself a question, which became a head scratcher. I ended up having to look it up. So let's see if you are any smarter than I am.

What is Meghan, Harry, and Lili's last name???

What's the odds Lee that the clerk in the Cannabis Store bought your story that the CBD oil was for your dog and not for you? She was probably thinking, "Sure mister whatever you say". That would be so cool to find out about when a ship will be coming up or down the river, it's name and where it's going. I often look up in the sky and wonder where a plane is going or coming from.

BB; If I woke up and found 2 kids in my house I'd change the locks.
1f601.png
It's good to know that you always keep a supply of oxygen nearby. I too want to know what is Cappi's current status.

K2; I've heard of people who have a friend of the opposite sex, plus "benefits". But I never imagined that the benefit was for plumbing repairs. Art, renegotiate this deal! Your grandmother should have been in sales if she convinced you to eat soup in hot weather to make you feel cool.

Oh the difference between Ohio and Florida, KC. So many of you Floridians have sprinkler systems for your homes. Around here they are few and far between. Mostly only at businesses. I've never had one. It's good that you've been able to enjoy a couple of lazy days, now that your social calendar is filling up.

Yesterday started off on a goofy path. Around 8 the Vet's office called saying that Big-Foot's ashes were in and we could come and pick them up. They were in a nice little wooden box along with a medallion with his paw print on it. It was nice. By looking at the paw print you might think it came from a German Shepherd and not a miniature weaner-dog. Hence his nickname.

Then a couple hours later we got a call from the organization that provided hospice care for Bud. (They stay in touch with families for a year to help them get through the mourning process.) They were having a memorial service for families who recently lost a loved one and wanted to know if we wished to attend. Like I said, a strange start to the day.

BUT, I did finally get a good start to my weeding. But once the humidity shot really high and the temperature went above 80, I skedaddled inside to the air conditioning. Might get more done today if the rain holds off.

Good Morning Wrabbits.
Not sure how long I can be on this computer. The Comcast person is on it's way for our appt.

Of course, the computer is working fine the last few days. I just didn't cancel the appt. Maybe he can tell me why I keep losing my internet connection.

Lee: Hope you get to the bottom of your health issue. And I really hope the doc has small fingers! Lordy, we sure do tell it like it is on here after all these years. LOL All the best. And good move staying INSIDE during your visit to your friends home.

DAVE: Wow...you really don't have a in-ground sprinkler system?? I've never heard you mention dragging hoses around your property to water your grass. When we lived at our first home we didn't have the money to put in-ground sprinklers in right away. What a pain dragging hoses around most of the day or evening when it was hot out. I was so happy once we had the system put in. Amazing how spoiled you can get about things like that.

Karen: Have fun with the family. Sounds like it should be fun. Just keep it simple.

Pat: I think you and Bert are going to have more and more visits from your grandkids in the coming future. Good thing you're such good grandparents.

I'm waiting for the Comcast person and need to get off this computer now.
You all have a good day.

My leg still hurts like "^&*())" when I put any pressure on it when I walk. Feels like somebody has a knife twisting in it. Funny part is that the area on the right side of the knee where it REALLY HURT and it got the shot is just DUCKY FINE! It's where the brace PRESSED INTO my left side below the knee that is killing me....but only when I walk. I'm thinking it pressed on a nerve, . Gotta go Comcast person here. Later gang

HIP HIP HURRAY! Back in business again!
It was a 2 hour visit from the NICEST COMCAST Young man I've ever had come into the house.
He connected a new Router Box that Mark gave us and added cables that were needed to make the speed work. Move the Router out of the 'closet' into a better reception area. Told me down the road to buy a "MESS" Router system with 3 auxiliary units to be placed around the house to get the best speed and reception. Houses have MIRRORS that cause all kinds of trouble with routers and your walls and brick walls to the outside are the reason we lose reception when on the deck! Learn something every day.
He went into the basement ceiling and updated the connections down there. Updated 2 of the TV boxes. Programed a new remote for the small kitchen TV so we only have to use 1 remote to get it to work not 2. The young man was amazing.
I told him to never stop being so polite and to always keep the excellent work ethics. All in all a very good morning.

Looks like it really wants to rain over here one minute and then the sun comes out the next.
Just glad I don't have any yard work to do today!

By the way the young Comcast man told me to keep the Router Box UP OFF THE FLOOR for better reception. Good thing we have a nice drum type low table we can put in the corner where the Router box ended up.

LIFE IS GOOD ......well except for this darn pain in my leg. I can't wait until this goes away so I can go biking again.

Later gang.

Good morning, y'all! Another beautiful day here in the hood!

Kathie - Glad your Comcast service was perfect. Amazing how some people are just a perople person and others should never have direct contact with others. Nice that you had a really good guy.
By the way, I keep forgetting t ask you the name of the melatonin company your pills are from. I used to buy that same one a few years ago and forgot the name of the company that makes them. Went to BJ's where I always bought them, but didn't see it last time we were there. I prefer that to the ones you have to take a half hour before you want to go to sleep. I much prefer the kind that melts in your mouth.

Dave - If I remember correctly, Harry & Meghan's last name is Mountbatten or something like that.

Had an interesting experience last evening. While sitting outside a bird flew by being chased by another bird. The first one crashed into the window at the house next door and did not move. It's a dove. Missy checked and it was still alive, but it's neck was cut bad. Well my daughter, the do gooder, managed to find a bird rescue place and so she called animal control to come pike up the dove and bring it to the bird rescue place. Guy showed up just as M&J were leaving shortly after 9:00! That was unreal that they would come out so late to pick up an injured little dove and then have at least a 45 minute ride to the rescue place. I doubt that the bird will make it due to the neck injury.
A funny aside to this story - Missy said that the bird needed stitches on it's neck. Jennifer piped up that she would sew its neck up, but her stitches aren't neat enough to do that. She just wanted to help.

As usual in this household, we have a bit of running around to do again today. Both of my watches, including the Rolex, have dead batteries. I am going nuts not having a watch on my wrist and I'd really look weird strapping by cordless phone to my wrist!

And to answer your question - Cappi is still around! He's behaving, for now, but if he bites the line again, I want to try locking him in the spare bathroom at night to see if that helps.

That's about all I've got for now. Good luck with whatever you have on tap for today and try to find something fun to do. My choice for a fun activity would be to go out for ice cream. It always tastes so much better out than when you take it out of the freezer! :)

PAT: I really did LUCK OUT with having such a nice polite informed Comcast service person here this morning. That sure doesn't happen often.

I did a Google on "Prince Harry's name". They don't make it easy to figure out.

Some noticed the discrepancy when documents filed for an eco-tourism firm, Travalyst, were obtained by news outlets like The Daily Mail. In these documents, it appears that Prince Harry’s name is officially listed as “Prince Henry Charles Albert David, Duke of Sussex,” full stop. His royal last name, Mountbatten-Windsor, is nowhere to be seen on the files—but that doesn’t mean he’s done away with the name altogether. (In fact, his son, Baby Archie, retains the last name for now).

Out of here for now. Enjoy your day. Still sunny , hot and no rain yet here. :clap002:

Good afternoon Bunnies! Under a severe thunder storm watch for the next little while.
Yes, Bear had had a shot of CBD oil. It does take the edge off. The down side is that he gets cravings for "Cheetos".

Karen, I know that you are busy but enjoy your day with family, food and fun!
We don't have don't have in ground sprinklers. Never have never will. At the cost of the water I prefer to let the grass go dormant. Ya, it's ugly but it comes back nice and green. For example, last year when we laid the sod and watered the heck out of it it cost us about $400 bucks a month. If God were that concerned with green grass he's would have figured a way to keep it green without wasting precious water on it!
Dave, I'm glad to hear that Big Foot is back home. We have a number of paw prints but only have Mookie's ashes. He truly was Lu-Ann's "heart dog". Weed On Dude!
Harry and Megan sure know how to suck up to Her Royal Highness Great Granny. Just name your baby girl in honour of The Queen's nickname.

Hope you get to the bottom of your health issue.
Funny you would phrase it that way considering the examination I'm going to have. It will be more Dr. Tom getting to the bottom of my health issue! ;) I sure do hope that your knee problem gets resolved sooner rather than later too! How nice that COMCAST sent a knowledgable, personable you man to get your electronics all in order. Bell is pushing "wifi pods" for $5 a month to increase the signal around a home. Not our home! It is just fine as it is!
Pat, I really like your idea of a fun thing to do! We rue the day that New York's "Ample Hills Ice Cream" went out of business at Disney's Boardwalk and Disney Springs. How kind of Missy and Jennifer to want to tend to the injured Dove. I'm hoping that the doc suggests something to combat the insomnia. Hmmm. A nice glass of wine a half hour before bed might work. I was lost without my watch for a while. I even tried putting it on my right wrist but that just seemed awkward. I have heard that watch sales are actually down because so many folks, young and old alike, use their mobile phones to tell the time.
I was going to BBQ Costco Hot Dogs for dinner but with the weather I may have to resort to doing them on the grille pan indoors. Either way some onions will get caramelized and tomato chopped to be used as toppings!
You all have a great rest of what ever day this is.
Stay safe and we'll see you tomorrow.

Not sure just where the RAIN is everyone is talking about on the evening NEWS, but it's NOT in Macomb! Temp has fallen, but sun is out in the front of the house and clouds in the back. Strange evening.
LEE: Hope Bear will make it through any rumble sounds you get your way.

PAT: Here's the Melatonin I take when needed. I get it at Costco. Fast Dissolve Strawberry taste. But to me it's just more fruity.

Hope you all had a good day and evening.

Checking in to say Good Night from Belleview...it was a long fun day...lot's of sun & fun in the pool....and tons of food! My brother & his wife ended up looking at a Villa for rent here in the complex & decided it would accommodate his wife being in her power chair...so they put in an application with the realtor....it would be nice if they were able to get it...but I'm trying not to get my hopes up...he is really wanting to try to do a lease to own set up & the villa is owned by a brother & sister as part of an inheritance ...one wants to sell & the other one doesn't so it's been rented for about the last 12 yrs or so...they may not even want to consider his offer...although he also asked for right of 1st refusal if they don't want to do a lease/purchase deal....we shall see....
They are leaving in the morning so Jane, Barb & I are going to meet them for breakfast before they go....catch up with everyone

Got to keep it short. We have to take Fuzzbutt to the groomers in a few minutes.

I'm with you Lee, on not watering the lawn. And that K2 is why you never heard me mention dragging hoses around the house.

The last name I came up with for Meghan & Harry was Mountbatten-Windsor. The British royal family sure make names complicated.

Neat story about the Dove rescue, BB. I too would go nuts if I didn't have a watch on my wrist. I don't like to brag but, you have a Rolex. I have a Timex.

We sure lucked out on getting missed by the rain showers that were being dumped all around this berg yesterday afternoon. Some places just 10 miles away were getting 2-3 inches in less than an hour. All we ever got was a 10 minute light sprinkle.

Hi KC! Interesting; Importing relatives.

Be good Bunnies. But if you're not, post pictures.

Much threatened. Never really happened. Yesterday’s rain that is! Weather was clearly all around us but we never got wet.
Dave, the “Mountbatten” was Prince Phillip’s surname. Windsor is Elizabeth’s surname dating back to her being born into the “House of Windsor”. I do agree. Couldn’t these Royals just become “Smith” or “Jones“. What’s for breakfast after Fuzzbutt gets dropped at the groomers?
A fun but busy day, as usual, for you Karen. Geez I hope the offer works out for your brother and his wife.
Kathie, those look like the Melatonin we tried to give Bear a few years back. Maybe I should try them! According to my Apple Watch I was active for at least 5 minutes for 23 out of 24 hours yesterday! I’m surprised I got any sleep. Did the handyman get the sprinkler fixed or was he off on his bike again? You may need to tip him better to get things done.
Did you manage to get batteries for your watches Pat? Do you have to leave the Rolex for service, even just a battery? How long before M&J’s place is ready? The year we were in Haines City they built a house just around the corner. In about 6 weeks the ground was levelled, the pad poured, the walls were up, the roof was up and shingled, the windows were in and they were working on the interior. Here it takes about 16 weeks from the time they break ground for the basement to completion.
Best run. Bear wants out.
Enjoy your Wednesday everyone!

Good morning and happy hump day to all you wonderful people! Not expecting any rain showers here today - just lots of sun and heat.

Karen - Glad you and the family all had fun yesterday. That would be so nice if your brother gets to rent right there by you. I see lots of family gatherings in the future with you all so close to each other. Just don't volunteer to do any home improvement projects for them! LOL How's the setting up of the pool coming along? Find anyone to do it yet?

Kathie - That is the same melatonin I took before. Guess I need another trip to BJ's to see if they ever got any in or maybe Walgreen's carries it. I'll have to check.
I don't know if your resident handyman fixed your sprinkler yet, but mine fixed 2 or 3 yesterday that we didn't even know were broken. When M&J were here the other day we got to talking about how our sprinklers haven't come on in weeks. They went outside with Bert and tested them. Found out that some of the sprinkler heads were overgrown with grass which they removed and then found the broken sprinkler heads in the front. That would be thanks to our landscapers. If the sprinkler head doesn't go all the way down like it should, they just run over it with the lawnmower and never say anything. Makes us very angry with how careless they are.

Lee - Glad the rains with the t&l didn't come up your way either. I'm sure Bear was very happy about that too. Sorry the sleeping isn't getting any better. When are you sup[posed to see Dr Tom? The sooner the better, right? Yes, I got a battery for my one watch. The Rolex will have to wait a while. There's only 1 place I can take it to and that's in the Florida Mall. They will want to do a full service on it and the last time I had that done, it costs over $400. If I do eventually get it fixed, I would like to sell it and get something else that is reasonably priced. Only problem with the watch I am using now is that it is not waterproof, so I have to remember to take it off if I'm anywhere near water. Bummer!!

Dave - We never had a sprinkler system and rarely watered the lawn up in Ocala. We had some grass, but being totally sandy soil, as soon as pater hit the ground, it immediately soaked right into the sand. We tried more than once to have a real lawn by buying sod, but learned that was a waste of time and money and the grass would eventually die anyway.
I'd take a Timex anytime over the Rolex. When the state took our plaza years ago in Ocala, buying those Rolexes was our gift to ourselves. Funny part is that Bert's has never been serviced in all these years. Mine has been in the shop more times than I can remember.

Not sure what all is on tap for today. Haven't seen Bert yet this morning. He was still sleeping when I left the bedroom, so who knows when he'll show up. Probably looking for that BLT I said I'd make for lunch today! After that I haven't a clue what we'll do. We've been slowly but surely getting all the stuff we'll need for our trip north. I've already got all the clothes I'm taking ready to pack. I think dinner at the Grille is on tap for tonight. The special sounds good - red snapper. Other than that my day is open.

One last question before I head out of here - Anyone else watching America's Got Talent? They've got some really great acts so far this year. It's on on Tuesday night and is well worth watching. That's my recommendation!!

Have agreat day, everyone! :)

Good ALMOST Afternoon!

Just to keep up with the JONES....Art has a $20 dollar Casio wristwatch from Khol's. It's his second one. He loves them. Doesn't have to worry about scratches or losing it or anything. Has all the bells & whistles he needs. When I wore a wristwatch I always liked Seiko. I gave up wearing a wristwatch when I retired. Didn't want to have to know what time it was anymore. Ha Ha.
Oh and the day I have to pay $400 bucks to have my watch serviced is the day it would be SOMEONE ELSES! LOL

LEE: The Melatonin takes the edge off of counting sheep and tossing and turning. It's natural and non-addictive.
NO RAIN here either. Today we had FOG early this morning. HUMID as all get out now. Still better than snow.

And YES, my excellent handy-man fixed the sprinkler really quick the other day. We try to keep the front of the property GREEN as much as we can. But the back has been know to go dormant and it does come back quickly when we turn the water on. I think we have only had the water sprinklers on 1 time this year. We make our grass dive deep for water! Ha Ha

Karen: You'll have to keep us up on your brother and that rental. Hard to believe that the brother/sister have rented that place for 12 yrs. Just think of the upkeep, taxes, etc. I would have sold by now. Hope things work out for your brother. Keep looking in your complex, maybe there are some other openings.

BB: Your idea of a BLT sounds tempting. We need to finish off the last of the Macaroni Salad for lunch. I made a big batch of Crepes this morning for us and want to deliver some to the kids.

I need to stop and get GAS. The light that tells me I need GAS has come on 2 times. I'm down to 25 miles until empty. Yup, I'm pushing my luck.

Hope that Rita and Bill are doing as good as possible. Bill is living the life of a
bachelor these days. It's going to be hard for him to be under Rita's thumb once she comes back home.

Later all........STAY COOL. Good day for a jump in the pool. Wish I had one to jump into right about now.

It’s the same in Emerald Island with the sprinklers and the landscape crew Pat. There is a fella that drives around everyday and does nothing but repair sprinkler heads. I talk to Dr. Mikhail tomorrow. He’s the cardiologist who “had me committed“ to the hospital(s). I see Dr. Tom on June 22. Ah, I can hear the sound of a snapping rubber glove now!
Timepieces really are one of those items that are very personal. Before my Apple Watch I wore TAG Heuer. I got my first TAG when I retired. I’m very hard on watches and my TAG’s always stood up to the abuse I seemed to give them. So, on the other hand, has my Apple. The last time I took one of my TAG’s in for proper service it was $150.00!!
So Kathie, “are ya feelin’ lucky?” with the readout for the fuel? I have to say that in my years of driving I’ve never run out of fuel! I say fuel because some of the Ram’s I used to shuttle were diesel. It’s hot and humid here too. We just had a thunderstorm warning issued running through until this evening. Foggy this morning but the neat part about that was being able to hear the fog horns on the freighters.
Another step forward. When Lu-Ann goes to do her exercises I’m going to run the vacuum around. Man, talk about livin’ on the edge.
Be good everyone.

Dave - I forgot to tell you this story earlier... Bert had a cheap Timex before he got the Rolex. He couldn't wear a watch while working, so he kept it in his pocket. Once evening when he got home, he went to get it out of his pocket and the watch was not there! After searching all over, he realized he must have dropped it when he took out his car keys from the same pocket. Next morning at work he parked in the same space. Sure enough there was his watch laying on the ground. He was surprised it was still there but I pointed out to him that even if someone had picked it up, once they saw it was a cheap piece of crap Timex that they threw it back on the ground!!

Getting ready to head for the Grille for dinner. Not sure if I'll have a chance to stop back later, so I'll just say good night now. I'll see you all in the morning. :)

Lee: It cost me $45 bucks to fill the tank earlier today. And that was with .10 cents off a gallon. You can bet GAS PRICES will go down now that both our cars got filled up today! :emoticon 0124 worried:How lucky you are to hear the FOG HORNS on the freighters. You're living the good life buddy. Hope you took it nice and slow with that vacuuming.
Now just where does Lu-Ann go for exercises? I thought you all were "Shut-Down" over your way?

Pat....hope you have a good dinner tonight.

We had Sausages and Mac & cheese. Simple and quick. After having a few too many crepes earlier neither of us were really very hungry. And we ATE INSIDE. It's a STEAM OVEN outside right now.

STORY TIME:
I drove over to Mark & Jill's to deliver their share of the crepes.
Mark was home and opened the door for me.
He said come on in MOM. And directed me to the kitchen.

Well, UNREAL....their kitchen ceiling over the big island was all ripped apart and he had a fan and dehumidifier running.
I was......."Like what the heck happened"?
They have a washer & dryer UPSTAIRS right above the kitchen.
YUP.....Mark had moved the washer to retrieve something that fell and the hose must have fell out of the hole in the wall where it drains and the BIG PLASTIC dish that the washer sits on couldn't hold all the water.
YUP....it went through the floor into the ceiling and broke through the drywall.
I guess ERIC was having his lunch yesterday and the LIGHT CAM above him started to leak.
He called his Dad and before they could get enough towels and buckets under it the ceiling broke loose.
Thank goodness it didn't ruin their beautiful wood floor.

So they have to get a insurance claim and then find somebody with enough time to come rip up the ceiling and put up new drywall (sheet-rock for some of you folks).
It could have been really much worse if nobody was at home. :emoticon 0124 worried:

So that's the end of STORY HOUR for tonight.
ALWAYS SOMETHING!! :emoticon 0101 sadsmile:

Off to put my leg up on some pillows. This is getting OLD REAL FAST lately.

Another foggy start to the day. The fog horns are working overtime these past couple of days.
What a great story about Bert’s Timex Pat. As John Cameron Swayze used to say on the commercials “It takes a lickin’ and keeps on tickin’.”
Oh geez Kathie! The poor kids and their water damage. Fortunately it can be fixed. We are still in lock down. Some restrictions loosen tomorrow. Not gyms or hair salons though. Lu-Ann has her exercise and workout equipment down stairs. She has her treadmill, exercise bike, weights, speed bag and heavy bag for boxing and subscribes to two different PD exercise programs that she streams on to the TV from her Mac. Of course the plan was to finish her room this spring but a little thing called surgery got in the way.
Phone appointment with one of my cardiologists today. You get a four hour window like furniture delivery!
You all have a good day! I‘ll check on you all later.

I love goofy bets. On sports or even elections.

Did you see on the news that some Ohio college girl bet $20 that she could get a pool-noodle checked at the airport for her flight? She won her bet. She had video of it being tagged at check-in, going up the conveyor-belt into the belly of her plane, and the confused look on the faces of the baggage handlers. I giggled through the whole thing. Southwest Airlines must also have gotten a kick out of it too because they gave her another pool-noodle with their name on it.

Please tell me Lee that you wore your French outfit when you ran the vacuum. You want a house or barn put up quickly, hire an Amish company. Don't forget to mention your sleeping problem to the doctor today.

YIKES! Water coming through the ceiling, K2. Mark and Jill are only beginning to see the mess their house is going through with all the repairs needed. As you said, lucky they were home at the time.

Once again BB, you've given me the hungries for a BLT. I do have one really fancy watch. Real gold and diamonds on it. But I didn't pay for it. It was given to me by the oil company when I retired. A nice engraving on the back of it. It just sits in our lock-box and I may actually wear it once every 2-3 years.

Any updates on your brother getting that house, KC? Aren't you about due for your second Moderna shot?

Today we're actually going radical and enter a grocery store. (But probably still wearing a mask.) Now that fully vaccinated people don't need to wear masks, you know that a lot of people are stuck with warehouses full of thousands and thousands of masks that they'll never be able sell.

Along with all their fidget-spinners.

Good Morning Wrabbits.

I got up early and mixed up some fertilizer and poured it all over my deck plants. Picked off the dead buds and it's like they got a new lease on life!
So nice and quiet early in the morning. Just me and the Cardinal who was singing away. Oh and a Woodpecker that I hear off in the distance.

Lee: All the best with your PHONE Appt with the Cardio Doctor. Hope you wrote down things you want to ask and talk about. It helps when it's right in front of you.

DAVE wrote: YIKES! Water coming through the ceiling, K2. Mark and Jill are only beginning to see the mess their house is going through with all the repairs needed. As you said, lucky they were home at the time.
Yup, it's not a quick fix at all. First you have to get in line to find somebody to actually come out to assess the damage and then fix it. I see Drywall DUST all over the house even if they tape the place off with those big sheets of plastic. Good thing Mark and Jill are not SCREAMERS and will come through this somehow. She did mention something to me about "KILLING HIM"! LOL

Dave: I think it's safe enough to go to into the grocery store. I go EARLY or REALLY LATE to avoid crowds. And I STILL WEAR MY MASK. It's a good idea to actually go into the store every so often just go up and down the lanes and pick up things you miss by ordering online. Hope you don't go over-board with the SNACKS!! LOL

I'm not sure what I'm going to be doing today. The yard and flowers are taken care of so that's done, and I just don't feel like dusting and vacuuming around here today. Too hot to bake.
I have everything ready to make us dinner later, so that's taken care of.
I guess I'll just try and find a book and maybe drive over to the waters edge and read. I have one of those nice fold up chairs that would be very comfortable for that.

Art is biking and enjoying the nice day.

Karen: Don't miss out on getting that 2nd Vaccine.

Can't wait to get that MRI tomorrow afternoon and then go back to the Doctor to see just what the heck is wrong with this leg.
I have a funny feeling he will be sending me to a "NERVE" doctor next. I just need this FIXED ASAP. Can't stand limping around and hurting. Okay, sorry for complaining. Lots of people way worst off than little old me.

Out of here for now. Everyone have a good day.
