Where the heck did the morning go??? It was just there a few blinks ago!! Then I guess it's time to say good afternoon to this great group.
Kathie - I do hope Jill & Mark called the insurance company right away, so they can send an adjuster out to assess the damage. Second floor laundry rooms are a convenience, but when something goes wrong, it goes horribly wrong. A friend's daughter owned a house where the hot water heater was in the attic. Need I say more about what happened when that let loose? Damaged down to the main floor. Water damage is never a good thing.
Enjoy your day, no matter what you end up doing.
Lee - Always loved the sound of foghorns. They sound so mournful. When we were on the inaugural cruise of the Brilliance, I went up on deck for a cup of coffee in the morning and was met by a wall of white. The foghorn sounded for most of the morning until the sun burned off the fog.
That's a nice setup Lu-Ann has there. Couldn't have been better what with the stupid virus shutting everything down.
Dave - So how was the shopping trip? I still hesitate going into stores even though it is perfectly safe. And I do still wear a mask when I go into any of the stores. Loved that story about the college student and her noodle! It made our local news. So what are you saving the good watch for? Wear it and enjoy it now while you can.
Went to the Grille last night and had a delicious dinner. The appetizer was chicken & veggie kabobs with a peanut sauce. It was so good we suggested that it should be added to the regular menu. They we had red snapper for dinner. I was so full that I brought half my dinner home.
Going to G&E's tonight to celebrate Gary's 50th birthday. How the hell did he get that old?? Bert also has to see about hanging up an antique coocoo clock that came from Bert's parent's house. They had 2 coocoo clocks, but neither fit our style of furniture. M&J got the other one. This one that Bert needs to hang had been dropped and Bert did a major repair on parts of it while they got new bellows in it. It's finally ready to hang.
One of you had asked the other day how long it will take to build M&J's house. Normally, it takes about 4 months, but due to so much construction going on in central Florida, there are drastic shortages of lumber, roof trusses, windows, and appliances among other things. Now it's taking about 6 months to finish houses.
Time to find something for lunch. Have a wonderful afternoon, everyone!
