Good Morning Wrabbits. A MILD 65F right now and climbing up to 74F later in the day. :clap002:

DAVE: You'll have to get Kathi to update us with a few pictures of your newly installed trellis and posies. Nice that you were able to RE-PLANT the old flowers to another area.
Art has this area next to our 4 x 8 garden that he calls the "flower hospital". Anything that looks like it's dying or should be tossed gets a last chance by getting placed in that area. It's amazing how many plants he has saved there. Even during Covid some of the plants insisted on wearing MASKS to protect the other plants. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Karen: I totally agree with wanting MY SPACE from family when visiting them or when they visit us! When we go to see my brother in Chicago my sister-in-law wants us to stay with her at the house and we PASS on that BIG TIME. So does my other brother. She's a nice person and all, but could drive you nuts constantly talking about "decorating her house". We stay in a motel.
Glad you got to be with the family as much as you did. Now you need some KAREN TIME OFF!

Art went biking with his biker friends. (It's Tuesday, and that's what he does EVER Tuesday)
He said he would be happy to drive me to the doctors appt. I said I can drive and the last time he was there they didn't let him in the room and he nearly FROZE in the reception area. Had to go sit in the car to warm up.

LEE: Hope you had a good nights sleep. Do you get up less often to go to the the "men's room" now that you're taking the sleeping pills? On days that you feel really tired you might be able to skip the pill and you'll find yourself able to sleep quite well. Just depends on how "BUSY your MIND was all day if you can shut things down and just sleep.

How is are your friends doing that are moving into the neighborhood. Getting close to making the big move yet? Is your street getting pretty much cleaned up from construction equipment and vehicles coming and going? And last question.....does the township come around and plant the same kind of tree in front of each house at some point or are you allowed to plant what you want. We had a choice of getting a Township Planted tree or picking from about 3-4 different ones and buying and planting it ourselves. We choice to plant the Pretty Maples.

Bill/Rita: Hello to you if you're reading along. Bill how are YOU doing these days? Is the family feeding you enough or do you go out to eat a lot. Make sure to tell Rita we are all thinking of her.

Okay be good Wrabbits and stop by and let us all know what you're up to during the day.

Kathi….FRED is adorable! Can’t wait to hear all about him! Great color of GREEN
Knee Update: I know you mist be so ovsr this already! Ha ha.

Went to doc appt.
Told me the Meniscus tear cannot be sewn up. Joy, joy. All he can do is clean up any ‘Arthritis’ in the area and any tissue. He did a lot of explaining and made me know it’s not going to be perfect, but HOPEFULLY it will ease the pain I have going on now.
He did say he wished all his patients came to him with as much informationI did and concern about what was going on with their body.

Scheduled for knee-clean-up JUNE 28th.
Will be off the leg for 2 weeks. Can use a walker or cane or crutch to keep weight off of the leg.
This is a temporary fix….(if even that)!

Knee replacement will come when necessary. UNREAL.
Not ready for one YET!

To think I did this all by sitting on the couch the wrong way with my leg under me. HINT: DON’T ever make yourself too comfortable when sitting!

Our Friend, George, who just lost his daughter to cancer belongs to our local Kiwanis Club. He’s going to take me to their storage bldg that they have ALL KINDS of MEDICAL ASSIST SUPPLIES/EQUIPMENT so I can find all the things I will need to make getting around easier.
Nice to have friends like that.

Really nice here today and tonight. A little WINDY, but temps were up to 79F and now holding at 74F.

You all have a good night.
YOU TOO FRED! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Fred says, "GOOD MORNING BUNNIES! ( I translated that from his ribbit-ribbit.)

Now about "Fred";

A couple of years ago Kathi got him from a local nursery when she went there looking for posies. (She collects about anything that pertains to frogs.) It's a real nice nursery and well decorated, even has benches around so you can rest while shopping. Well, Fred was one of the decorations, so she asked them if she could buy him. Sure.

He's been sitting out in the old pool area for 2 years in his original color. Kind of a pinkish clay color. But she decided to paint him to look more like a frog. And make his eyes look more like eyes. And yes, there is actually a green paint that is called FROG in their colors to choose from.

So she invited one our grandsons over yesterday to help paint Fred. Only a 6th grader, but already taller than his Dad and Kathi. He seemed to have fun. Afterwards having home-made pizza and an ice cream cone. Once she took him home she came back and did the eyes. It came out rather good.

So today we need to lug Fred out of the garage and back into the old pool area. And I mean lug. Fred needs to go on a diet because it takes the both of us to move him around.

Got a question for you K2; If this temporary fix, if even that, to your knee is going to keep you off that leg for 2 weeks, why not do the permanent fix now of a replacement knee? It sounds like it'll eventually be needed.

Have a ribbit-ribbit day guys!

Good Morning!
WELCOME ABOARD FRED. Hope the pup doesn't Pee on you when out in the yard!! :) What a nice project for the grandson to help out with. I give Kathi a lot of credit for doing so much with the grandkids. Such a good Grandma!! Don't hurt your back carrying FRED to his spot in the yard.
HINT/TIP: Put FRED on a piece of heavy cardboard or plywood and DRAG him to the area!

It's a 'chilly' 55F here in Pure Michigan. Made for really good sleeping last night.
Suppose to get up to 70's later today and SUNNY all day. Works for me.

DAVE: I asked about the knee replacement and the "good surgeon" said it just wasn't time for that yet. He seems to think after this SCOPE-TYPE clean out I can buy some time before that happens. I'm a AGGRESSIVE type person, but when it comes to doing a KNEE REPLACEMENT I'll wait as long as possible. My brother and lots of choir friends from church have had knee replacements and the surgery is painful, but the REHAB is a "BEAR" to complete. I'll wait and hope for the best with what I'm having done. Time will tell! :emoticon 0101 sadsmile:

Got a call this morning at 7:00 A.M. from the hospital to go over my Medical History and tell me what meds I can and cannot take for this knee surgery. YIKES ..... that lady starts early! Glad I had my paperwork handy to refer to at that hour of the morning.

I need to dig through a few recipes and cook up some food to FREEZE for future use when I won't be able to make us dinners! I can't rely on Art cooking for us when I'm out of commission. He's a great guy and all........but a COOK he is NOT. And I could only handle him making eggs, oatmeal and canned soup just so long! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Hope our gal PAT and BERT have a very SAFE DRIVE to NC. We don't need any excitement coming from their trip.

BILL: How is Miss Rita doing these days? Ready to climb the walls?? Keep in touch buddy.

What are the rest of you Bunnies up to on this HUMP DAY?
I'd give anything to go Strawberry picking today. Perfect temp for something like that.

Off to finish my coffee. Need to some laundry and cleaning up around here. Later gang.

HAVE A SAFE and FUN DAY.

LEE: I saw this on Facebook and thought you could bring it to the attention of your lovely Township to install one in the Navy Park area you go to with the pups. It looks like something that would fit right in there! Get busy on this suggestion! LOL :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Good morning Bunnies!
Not sure where yesterday went. We were very concerned about Old Bear and had him up to the vet yesterday. After a thorough exam including X-Rays Dr. Quinn (not the medicine woman one) determined that he has a, wait for it, nasal infection. He's on antibiotics for two weeks.
Kathie, I love that bench! How neat. Now, you asked about our friends, trees, peeing in the night and so on. They move in 3 weeks, the township installs one tree of their choosing on each property and I do not pee as much in the night since taking the sleeping aides. Now about you young lady. Get the knee done now. IF you follow the instructions you should be just fine and able to enjoy the things you do now... just my 2 cents worth.
Dave, I'm thinking a hand cart would be ideal for moving Fred! So Master...is there an over / under on how many White Castle burgers made it to Jeff? I loved the honesty of that newscaster. I don't even like taking 1/2 a sleeping pill and hope that I can kick them once my body starts to get back to normal.
I'm guessing that you're taking your "my time" seriously Karen. And I think that is fantastic! I see that lumber is starting to come back down in price which is good for a project like Jane's deck! Any word from the pool guy?
I don't know if it's the same everywhere but because of this whole COVID thing and people spending money at home pool companies here are looking at August of 2022 before they can even consider an in ground project. All other installs, be they above or partially above ground, are backed up too. If they even have the pools to sell people.
Hoping that the trip has gone, so far, as planned Pat. At least if you got stuck in traffic you'd have food.
We're off to a couple of wineries with friends this afternoon. Seems like a dandy day for it! tomorrow the young gal comes to trim the pups toe nails. then I think we're going to the store that sells blinds to look for blackout blinds for the bedroom. Let the record show that I questioned why we didn't order them originally... There's a comparison for the knee replacement Kathie. If you're gonna end up getting it done later you may as well just do it now!
Be good, stay safe and watch out for the other unmasked guys!

Lee: Good to hear from you. Sounds like things are slowly getting more on track for you. Hang in there.
Are you guys allowed to FINALLY MOVE AROUND over there?
Good to know BEAR is basically okay. Glad you are so good at getting him and the other pups checked out. I swear I know people that NEVER take their dogs/cats to the Vets. I just couldn't do that.

Not sure which way your house and bedroom faces, but BLACK-OUT blinds in the bedroom are a GOOD thing!

And as far as getting an KNEE REPLACEMENT done. I'll just wait and listen to the doctor. If I can get some decent time out of this current surgery set-up then good for me. If I need to get the knee replacement then the good doctor told me I'd know when.
One step at a time.
It's like getting a oil change on your car and not getting a complete new engine. I'll wait it out.

I managed to make a SIMPLE COOKIE earlier and Art will be driving me over to my brother's house to deliver them. My brother & sister-in-law are driving to Chicago tomorrow (Thurs) to go visit with our brother George. So I'm saving myself having to package up and mail some goodies to him. I wish I could have made more of what he really likes, but that will have to wait for another time. Something is better than nothing right now.

It is SO NICE OUTSIDE right now. Thermometer reads 80F. With the wind I think it's less than that. Still my kind of weather.

Take care folks.

Are simple cookies just not a smart as regular cookies Kathie?
Our bedroom faces east. Yep, the same east that the sun rises in.
As always, you have to be comfortable, once you've heard the doc's input, to do as you choose with your knee.
It's 75F here right now. It was a beautiful afternoon for lunch by the beach and lake at one winery and a glass of wine beside the lake at another.

Good evening!

Lee, I'm with you....I don't know where the days go here lately...seems like they go faster & faster...
Hope poor Bear feels better soon....I know we worry about our fur kids as they get older....sounds like a pleasant way to spend an afternoon though, good friends & wine!

Kathie, not to gang up on you...but maybe a 2nd opinion is in order on your knee....why go thru 2 surgeries if you can do one & done...I do know you have probably researched this 7 ways from Sunday so I respect that you have made an informed decision...

Dave, Fred is quite the dapper looking gentleman! Doesn't Kathi have another taller frog with a butler's tray? I seem to remember seeing pictures of him before too...but his name escapes me at the moment...

Pat, hope the drive to NC is going well for you & Bert!

All we've heard for sure on the pool install is Jane is on the schedule & they are about a week out....of course we've had rain the last couple days so I'm sure that has probably set them back some..
Amanda & co left for home late last night...they wanted to get as far north as they could before daylight because their air on the car went out on the way down, so it would be cooler traveling. They planned to be home by Thurs. but I have a feeling they will make it later tonite knowing them...
Not a lot going on here...with the rain we haven't been able to get much pool time in....we did get to go in for about an hour this afternoon...pool temp has dropped some with all the rain...
A year ago today my Dad passed...hard to believe its gone by so fast...

My gosh Karen, is it really a year since Paul passed. My thoughts are with you, as always.
Amanda has the original cooling system on her car. 4 - 60 AC. Four windows down at sixty MPH!

Good Friday morning! Or is it Thursday morning? I guess it is Thursday morning Bunnies.

If you haven't purchased those black-out blinds yet, you may want to take a look at the Levolor brand Lee. We have them in both bedrooms, and for some reason, in the bathroom too. No light comes through those things. This design is all one piece of fabric which folds up like an accordion when you do want the light to come in. They are not a fortune, but they aren't cheap either. We got those when we put in all those windows last year.

I just love that street light holding an umbrella over the bench, K2. Together they are a piece of art. Fred rode a piece of cardboard on his trip to the garage to be painted. And on the way out to where we put him by the white fence he rode on the painting tarp. You don't have to bend over to pull him with the tarp.

KC, you've got a good memory. Franklin is the name of the frog butler statue who holds a silver tray. You sure have relatives that like to make long haul road trips in one day. I don't do those anymore. Glad to hear that you are getting at least some pool time.

Should be another sunny and dry day today. Yesterday the temperature peaked at 73 degrees, but today it should hit 80.

In a bit we'll be off to pick up the groceries. Yes, we're back to ordering them on the computer. We were going to pick up a couple of prescriptions before that but the doctor must have forgotten to send the order to the pharmacy.

A quick good morning to all.
Sara is coming at 8:30 to trim the pups nails. One of the things I can’t quite do as it involves bending over. Maybe I could do one pup but three is a tad too many. She’s good with the dogs and was recommended by our vet. $40 plus a tip for all three dogs is a pretty good deal. We pay her cash so it’s up to her if she “declares” it or not.
We‘re heading out after Sara and our trip to The Navy Yard to look at blinds Dave. We are familiar with Levelor and the quality of their products. Good call on using the tarp to move Fred. Now we need a pic of Fred back in his natural habitat.

I should run.
Hi to all the rest of the fine folks who call this hutch home. See you all later.

Good Morning Wrabbits! Going to be a FANTASTIC day weather-wise here in
PURE MICHIGAN!

Hope our PAT & Bert are doing good on their 'road trip'!

Dave, I can't wait to see FRED in his permanent spot in the yard. Good moving him with the tarp.
I need to do a test run on ordering from our Kroger's on my computer or cell phone. I can't see sending Art into the grocery store to buy much more than MILK and BREAD and COOKIES. Jill was showing me how to do it the other day. I'll have her help me out when they come over Sunday for Father's Day/Art's Birthday combo celebration. I don't want to be walking around when I'm not suppose to be.
I bought Pork Chops and Ground Beef at Costco yesterday and today I need to package it up and use my trusty Food Saver
vacuum sealer and then freeze the stuff.
The PRICE of MEAT, like STEAKS and ROASTS is like buying GOLD. We'll be eating a lot more chicken and veggies. There was a packing house that had to close down because employees tested positive for Covid. I guess a lot of big stores got their meats from this place and now they have to go to local processing places and this one guy on TV last night said their Beef has gone up $9 bucks a pound on Prime Steaks. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme: Like $38 bucks a pound for filets. Crazy.

Okay, I'm out of here for now. Meeting GEORGE to pick out some supplies I'll need in a couple of weeks for my "walking around".

Have a good day my dear friends.

Karen....glad the family made it back home. Sure glad I wasn't in that car without air and driving all night and day. Whew.

Lee: Nice to read that you're getting out and about a tad more and moving around more. Slow but sure. How did your afternoon go with friends yesterday?
Good luck at the Blind store. Hope there's somebody in the shop that can SEE WHAT THEY'RE Doing! LOL

And the problem with that would be??? Chicken and veg are good for you. Hopefully George was able to set you up with what you will need.
We had a nice afternoon at Sprucewood Shores Winery and our favourite, Viewpointe. Both are right on the lake and we did wonder a number of times what the working people were doing on a Wednesday afternoon. They involved a couple of longer walks from the parking lot to the benches and tables by the water but it's good for me to walk a little more when I get the chance.
We scrubbed the blind mission for today. It was too nice to waste the day shopping. Instead, after the we got home with the pups, we headed back down to the water to enjoy the day. A couple of HUGE freighters were headed up towards Detroit. We saw the Paul Martin (named after a retired Canadian Prime Minister). She is a 739 ft long self unloading bulk carrier!
Dave's coming to cut the grass and enjoy a cold beer. The doc's office is supposed to call for an update on the various meds I'm on and Canada Post is supposed to call to tell me where they delivered a parcel! Tracking info said "delivered at 1:08". They just didn't say where it was delivered...
You all wash your hands a lot and watch out for the other guy.
Bye for now.

Downside …because of Covid they don’t have the fresh baked cookies or all the juices. You can make a K-cup coffee and there is bottled water in the mini-refrig. :emoticon 0116 evilgrin:
