It's Saturday morning, Bunnies.

Ah...ha KC. And you never thought I was a health nut when it comes to my morning breakfasts. If ice cream is good, I wonder what that study's report says about this morning's sauerkraut and sausage?

K2; I just loved that Snoopy cartoon about red baseball caps. I know that whenever I see someone wearing a red one, I want to see if it says anything on its' front. Same feeling when I see someone buying a Tiki Torch.

Good, goody, goody, lots of pictures. Thanks lady.

Sooo many flavors of Klondike Bars, BB. Makes it tough to pick one. I still want to try grocery store cans of Dunkin Donut and Starbucks coffee. This survey of mine is going to take a while since I like to stick with one brand name for at least a week, until I move onto a different one.

I so enjoyed listening your video of "Tie me Kangeroo down", Lee. I had never considered a piece of cardboard as a musical instrument. But it works.

Good morning.

Mike came home yesterday and is just hoping he does not have any more flare ups before surgery, even though he does not know when surgery will be.

Will found out something morning about the hearing aids. This week when there I had her add Noisy Places to them but it moved the volume control to the left aid and the volume control only works when I have my cell on and not that great either and the Noisy Places is really not doing anything. So I called and left a message but did not hear from them so I will wait a while on Monday and then call again. I hope she can fix the Noisy Places and hopefully fix so that I don't have to have the phone on, as I do not like having it on all the time.

All have a great day.

Good Friday Morning Wrabbits.

Here's a clip to see what the "CRUISE" is all about.

Dream Cruise day in Detroit! Art left the house at 7:30 a.m. to get a good parking place and be at MUSTANG ALLEY to see all the cars. My SIL and Eric have been there every day, sometimes twice, since Wednesday. Today will be SWEET for all the car nuts! It's overcast for the first time and that will help keep the heat down for some of the older cars that do the cruise. The older cars tend to OVERHEAT when it's 90f out. Jay Leno comes to the Cruise. Skip through the news part and see some of his interview.

Dave: Glad you liked the pictures. Hope you saw the one of the freighters. The Lake house has been there for many decades. Let's just say I use to go out there and play on that grass and go out to the end of the dock when I was 8 years old. They used to have an actual BOAT HOUSE at the end of the dock. It was spooky inside of it. I can still remember it well.

So, it's supposed to rain sometime after noon today. Good the grass can use a dose of H2o.

Nancy, hope all goes well with Mike. He just needs to eat really bland food and let his insides heal. I feel so bad for anybody having to go through what he's going through. All the best to him.

Out of here for now. Have a good day Wrabbits. And stay safe. Now the big scare is Romaine Lettuce at Wendy's. A lot of folks got sick from it. ALWAYS SOMETHING.

Karen.......hope you are still in one piece. Is the job done, or are there touch up's needed?

Good morning, gang! It's a beautiful morning here in the neighborhood, but those dreaded t-storms are expected later this afternoon. Last night we had an awesome light show from the lightning in the area. No rain and no noise, just continuous flashing. It really was neat to watch!

Nancy - You seem to be having so many problems with your new hearing aids. I hope they can straighten out all your issues soon. Bert needs to take his hearing aids in soon to get the filters changed. He needs to get to the doctor first to get the wax removed from his ears. That's part of the reason why he has trouble hearing me, aside from his selective hearing, that is.

Lee - It sure has been a long time since I heard that song! Thanks for jarring our memories!

Kathie - Great pictures! I remember those freighters passing right by the house where my brother lived. You felt like you could reach out and touch them. That's how close they were! I like that long pier your friend has. Bet that cost a fortune to build.

Dave - I don't think Bert was even checking flavors on the Klondike bars he bought. The ones he got have vanilla ice cream with the dark chocolate shell.

I had planned to make peppers, onion & sausage sandwiches for dinner last night, but between home health and a surprise visit from Missy, I never got around to making them. Sooo ... That's tonight's dinner with a salad. YUMMO!!!

Time for a cup of coffee and to read for a little while before Bert shows up here in the kitchen. Have a good one, everyone!

Hello everyone.
I got the back grass cut today before the rains came. We were supposed to pop over to our friends this afternoon but Gail had a tooth yanked yesterday and wasn’t up to company. That’s OK too.
We’ve had some real thunder claps and lightening since mid afternoon.
I’m sure you all recall the “What would you do for a Klondike Bar?” ad campaign. Did you know they even came up with a game based on the catch phrase.
Great pics from the river Kathie. Excellent article / video on The Dream Cruise too.
Ain’t technology wonderful Nancy.
Those sandwiches of yours always sound so flippin’ good Pat!
Dave’s coffee sampling leads me to ask. What kind of coffee do you make at home and how? Drip, press, K-cups, pods…the list goes on.
Most of the time we use the Mars Flavia fresh pack system. We have Starbucks Blond, Pike and Verona as well as Lavazza. Green tea, breakfast tea and Dove hot chocolate. And we won’t forget the Nespresso assortment and machine.
So there ya have it. Another day in a small Ontario town that I like to call Amherstburg.

By-Jove, it's fixed! I'd given up.

After the latest system upgrade on Cruise Addicts, eventually it all came back to working right. EXCEPT, when I first got on it never went back to the latest posts. It always started with page # 295. But now it comes up with the newest posts. Thank you Gremlins for fixing it.

Hoping that Art got his fill of Mustangs yesterday under dry skies. At least around here, thunderstorms are the rule of today and tomorrow.

By the way K2, I just CAN'T imagine you at 8 years old.

Although Bert wasn't paying that much attention to what flavor of Klondike Bars he got, you can be pretty well assured that they are all tasty. That vanilla ice cream with dark chocolate coating is especially nice. Sure wish they'd make one with dark chocolate ice cream.

In answer to your questions Lee; My normal coffee brand is Maxwell house. And my coffee machine is a Mr. Coffee. I guess that it's considered a drip machine.

It is a dark and stormy morning. Lightening lights up the sky and thunder rumbles in the distance. Doesn’t that sound like the opening lines of a mystery! It may well be but that’s our weather this morning. And all day if the weather guessers are right.
Mornin’ Dave. I don’t think I’ve ever heard that tune. A little something to dance around the kitchen to! Did you get your Timmie’s the other day?
What treasures did Art bring home from Mustang Ally?
Gonna feed the pups. There may be a window in the radar to get them out for their walk.
Behave folks. See you all later.

Good Sunday morning, all you heathens! No rain and dark skies here this morning. Just lots of sun and heat.

Dave - Thanks for once again jarring our memories with a song from the past! I do remember it and seem to remember liking it too. Our Klondike supply is down to the last 2! I thin we ran through the rest of them too fast, so maybe we'll take a few days of eating rice pudding for dessert instead.

Lee - Stay dry and safe with that weather you're having. There was a sad story on the news the other day about a mother picking up her 2 daughters from school when it started to pour. They took refuge under a tree and lightening struck killing the mother. Under a tree is the worst possible place to be when there is lightening around.

Going to be heading for the Grille in about an hour. We're going for brunch, which we haven't done in quite a while. It's a friend's birthday and she asked us to help her celebrate it. Do you think she or her daughter will spring for mimosas? I doubt it.

Aside from that, our day is a blank slate. Having leftover peppers, onions & sausage sandwiches tonight for dinner. I'd love to take a ride, but there's always so much traffic these days that it's not very enjoyable.

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Ha Ha... This POST never made it from SATURDAY Evening~ HaHa.

We got another GOOD RAIN here in our area. Nice not to have to water those garden plants.

So, I just got back from the grocery store. Krogers. Dave. I thought of Kathi’s son with w ALL THOSE KIDS! I can’t even begin to think how much their grocery bill must be!:eek: It seems like everything I touched was$5 bucks or more. Thank goodness for the few “coupons” I had with me. I did manage to pick up a box of Starbucks Toffee K-cups on clearance. Expires Jan2023! Works for me. $.35 a cup! :clap002:

Lee: Glad you liked the Dream Cruise website.

Have a safe Sunday everyone!

Let's see if I can get this right today.... SUNDAY!

Dave: I remember watching the
PERCOLATOR bubble up and make that cool sound. It was a Stainless steel pot you put on the stove. (we didn't have the electric one back then). Nice video.

We had a good rain in the middle of the night. So far, it's just cloudy around here. Sure miss the sunshine.
I bet those cruisers that are still out on Woodward today are liking the lack of sun and heat. Those old cars take a beating when they
OVERHEAT!

Lee: Art came home with a few goodies. A T-Shirt that was from LAST YEAR. It had last years date on it. He doesn't mind.... it's free and he just adds it to the pile. A nice poster of a Mustang, 2 pens, a cover you put on a can to keep it cool and some stickers. Not a bad haul.

BB: Hope your brunch was a good one. And hope you got a Mimosa or two!

We got a delivery on our front porch today of "replacement cabinet doors"! Still missing 2 more and the cabinet man DID NOT (again) order the correct size on one of the replacements. I swear the man should retire. Oh well, I'll DEAL with that on Monday. He's away, AGAIN, on some kind of vacation but I will still call him or e-mail him about his MISTAKE. I'm thinking that the 2 missing boxes just didn't make it off the truck or out of the factory at the same time. No big deal. I have all the time in the world to JACK around with this project! o_O

Today I get to take back some light bulbs to Menards. Finally found some that aren't that BRIGHT WHITE-WHITE kind.
The ones I bought are a tad softer on the eyes! ALWAYS Something.

KAREN.... how you doing girl? Are you in one piece. Take care.

Such language Kathie! And on a Sunday to boot. You best stop "jackin' around" and get down to that church of yours and seek forgiveness. It sounds like Art made out like a bandit with his haul of freebies. No model kits this year?
We took the pups to the small park this morning and then on up to Costco. I waited in the van with Katie and Ava while Lu-Ann popped in and picked up a couple of things. Then it was over to Starbucks for a beverage for the trip home.
Your brunch sounds better than our morning meal Pat! But, alas, we didn't get mimosa's either. It is hard to get around the roads in the Kissimmee area at the best of times.
Crazy weather. The sun is trying to come out here now. It'll be too hot and humid for our old Katie but we may take Ava to the river for a quick walk. Dang, it's likely too hot for me too.
I do hope that everyone is having a fantastic Sunday!

Lee: I thought I cleaned up that sentence quite nicely! Ha Ha.
Like that you got a Starbuck's to help get you back home.

Still overcast around here. Okay, time to get those light bulbs back to the store! Lazy kind of a day.

Good afternoon. Got notice this morning that our flight from Dallas to Tampa has been changed to an hour later, okay with me. I booked a mini van to take us from the airport to the hotel on Friday, more expensive than a taxi but I know that with luggage and the wheelchair it will fit.

Looked at what to do in Vancouver, keeping money in mind and found that Chinatown is just about one mile from Canadian Place, where we get out Covid test, so we will do that and the only cost will be lunch.

Yesterday got notice that my insurance won't pay for the MRI of my Pancreas so will cancel the appt and notify the Dr about having to change the date so it would be one year since the last. And will notify the Dr that Bruce will not do a second Sleep study and why. So if she thinks he needs a CPAP she can prescribe it with the results from one test.

Had lunch at the Mexican
restaurant and had me a large drink as my back is hurting so bad, guess I will be using a cane in the house.

All have a great day.

Rita drinks tea, and I only have a single cup of decaf coffee with breakfast in the morning so we have a Keurig. I had been buying whichever brand of Kcups that were least expensive for 10-12 cups. Recently however, Ocean State Job Lot (similar to Big Lots in Florida and other locales) had boxes of Victor Allen Decaf
on sale (82 K cups) for $25 and I find that I like it not only because of the price but also the flavor. The condo we rented last winter didn't have a Keurig machine so I bought the Folger's Decaf Coffee bags and found them to be pretty good.
Considering how late in the season the Pats and Bills matches are, Lee, I agree that for the final game of the regular season, both starting QBs will probably be watching their backups from the sidelines. If so, the Bills can probably expect to be "Zappe-d".
Only two more pre-season games before the NFL season begins. So far only one of the 34 members of my football pool have indicated that they will not be returning. New players are always welcome in case anyone is interested.
Hope that if the doctor advises Bruce to use a CPAP machine, he has as good an experience with it as my son has, Nancy.
Got our docs for our Sept. 18th cruise and should have them for the following sailing soon. We have different rooms on the two sailings but have done back to back previously and the staff makes the move pretty smooth and easy.
Still no measurable rain in sight and except for those properties where they have their own wells and sprinkler systems, all the lawns are a depressing brown.

Good Moan-Day morning Wabbits! Isn't it wonderful not having to dread Mondays since we're now retired?

And yes Lee, every day I'll have my "Timmie"s" until the bag of it I bought is gone. Then it's off to my next taste test of coffee I can get at the grocery store. I'm thinking it'll be Starbucks.

BB; Rice pudding instead of ice cream??? BLASPHEMY! Did you get that mimosa for brunch? It's interesting how we can sneak Bloody Mary's and Mimosas into acceptable for breakfast. But don't ask for a beer.

Ain't nothing wrong with using coupons when grocery shopping, K2. Whether you find them in paper adds or on the internet. Claritin-D has an $8 off one that comes out every month or so. Art gets a T-shirt from LAST YEAR'S car show? Talk about budget cuts.

Oh yea, K2; F-ing A you cleaned up that sentence quite nicely yesterday.

Bill; I too am ready for the regular NFL season to begin. Where both the injuries and points count.

We had an interesting surprise yesterday. Our lawn guy and his daughter showed up. They must have looked at today's weather forecast. Monday is normally our mowing day.

His daughter I've nicknamed "Skinny Minny". Around high school age and nowhere even close to 100 pounds. But she drives one of the commercial, stand-up mowers faster than her dad does. I'm surprised she doesn't blow off of it.

Good morning, I think I'm finally rested up enough to try & string a few words together & make a complete sentence, Wilma's cabinets whipped my butt!

Dave, we always knew you were a man of eclectic taste, just from some of your breakfast combos!
Regarding your coffee survey, I'm currently drinking Folger's Columbian, but on Friday bought Maxwell house Columbian because it was $4 a can cheaper than the same size Folgers. I brew it in a Black & Decker drip coffee maker I bought at an Estate sale for $4. I also have a Keurig that I use for Decaf coffee in the evening or Starbucks Sumatra in my refillable pods

Pat, I bet it was wonderful to see Wes again even if it was for a short visit. Hopefully he will decide to move back to the area sooner rather than later. Did you get your Mimosa?

Lee, that breakfast pic you posted the other day looked delicious!! I could see me munching on that for several days. So what's up next for the old guy construction crew? Fall is just around the corner so I just know SOMEBODY has a project or 2 in mind.

Kathie, those were some beautiful water pic's you posted! I don't remember the lake water being so blue when I lived in Ohio.
I hope you haven't paid the cabinet guy in full yet, sounds like one screw up after another!

Bill, those were sure some screwed up Cribbage standings you posted, sounds like you need a new scorekeeper for next year.

Nancy, I don't blame Bruce for not going back for round 2 of the sleep study. I don't think I could ever do one of those, I need it to be cool, DARK & Quiet for me to be able to sleep.

I finished up Wilma's cabinets last Thurs. morning, a day ahead of schedule. For the bottom cabinet doors I ended up putting the doors back on the base to paint them. Her living room where she painted them doesn't have very good light so they were pretty splotchy looking, with the better light in the kitchen I was able to get them evened out. She was quite happy with how they turned out & gave me $100 for helping her. I wasn't expecting that & tried to give her back half of it but she insisted, so I said Ok. Was a very nice surprise!
Yesterday morning I mowed Jane's front yard & did some puttering around her house. The grass has finally slowed down growing now so I can stretch it to 8-9 days between mows
I've got a couple of flower beds to weed in the neighborhood this week, one of the sister's I did work for called me last week to ask if I was still doing that & would I do hers & her sisters again. I told her I had been taking a little break because it had been so hot, but I would get them done this week probably in the early evening.
And that is about all the happenings going on here in Beautiful Belleview, have a good Monday all!
