Lee: How’s the Dry-Wall project coming along? And how does Katie feel today?

Today if all goes well I will be washing the windows on the outside! I have a extending window washing stick that makes it a breeze. And the TEMPS are suppose to get up near 70F.

Starbucks has revealed their Holiday cups & drinks! I find myself going to Starbucks less and less. Just too expensive these days.

You ALL have a safe and fun day. Later gang.

OH KAREN…..I’m NOT giving up on you stopping by for a quick hello. Hope all the Kitties, your sisters and, of course, yourself are doing well. :clap002::clap002:

Good morning. Dinner last night was very good as usual. Had a different drink, they have a Merry Margaretta large size for two, it was very good.

Actual birthday was last month while we were on MSC cruising. But we are both members of Benihana's club so get a coupon for $30 off and it lasts all of the birthday month and a couple of days in the next.

Have no idea what today will bring.

All have a great day.

Good morning. Another beautiful day herewith temps expected to reach the high 80s. Yesterday we hit 90! Even to me that's rather ridiculous for November 1st.

I think I'll do one of Kathie's favorites here ... BREAKING NEWS!!!!! If you intend to have turkey on Thanksgiving this year, get out there and buy your turkey NOW. There's going to be a big shortage this year and the price of turkeys is sky high. We went to Restaurant Depot yesterday and their Jenni-O turkeys are $2./lb. with a warning WHILE SUPPLU LASTS. Last year those same turkeys were .99/lb at the same place. We're going back there this morning to buy our 2 annual turkeys - one for turkey day and one for sometime next year when I'm in the mood for turkey. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Dave - We have this great place here, Give Kids the World. It's a place where families of terminally ill children come for a week with all expenses paid for them. Every day they celebrate a different holiday and on Monday each week they celebrate Halloween. We can donate our leftover candy to them as they run short at times. Isn't that a great idea?
I hope Fuzzbutt looks beautiful when she comes home.

OK Karen - I'm done being nice. I'm coming after you, if you don't get your butt back on here soon. This is your one and only warning!!!:sign missu:

That's it for me this morning. Time to grab a cup of coffee before we head out on our morning adventure.

Kathie - I see you slipped in while I was typing. Have fun washing those windows. I'm waiting for Missy to do them one of these days like she promised. I agree that Starbucks is too expensive, but we will have to stop in at least one if and when they finally get around to opening the one right outside our subdivision. It looks like the building has been finished for months, but still hasn't opened.

Nancy - I see you too slipped in while I was typing. Glad you had a nice delayed birthday dinner last night. We went to our new favorite Italian restaurant for dinner. Then we came home and ate our German dessert, Black Forest Cherry Cake. Felt like a League of Nations type night!! LOL

Hello everyone.
A productive day in the drywall department. We go at it again tomorrow and by the end of the day we should only have a few sheets to go on the last wall. I won’t ask nor do I expect the guys to put in stupid long days.
One year in FL the gentleman and his wife renting next door were volunteers at Give Kids The World Pat. He was a Padre with The Michigan State Troopers. Friends of ours have a beautiful granddaughter who has Downs Syndrome. Maggie and her family spent a week at GKtW and couldn’t say enough about the group. So, if you ask everyone to have half as much turkey as last year the cost per person will remain the same.
If you had the Merry Margarita for two Nancy, what did Bruce have? :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: Yes, I’m kidding you.
Starbucks is a treat for us now Kathie. But I’d rather have a Starbucks coffee than a Timmies. I can’t wait for their ginger loaf to come back for Christmas. We try more often to go on double stars day or days we can complete a challenge for even more stars. I like to save them for Florida because stars are accepted “at par”. I’m not cheap. I’m frugal. Mid 60’s here today too.
We have a couple of “sheet carriers” from Stanley. I got them at Home Depot. They’re plastic and make carrying a 4’x8’ sheet s piece of cake Dave. Yes, seems mostly cakes and brownie recipes to use up all those extra Halloween treats.
How are our favourite New Englanders feeling?
Yes Karen, PLEEEEEZE drop bye and let us know that all is well with you, your sisters and four legged furkids.
Time to see what’s for dinner.
You all have a great evening!

LEE: Glad you are not a pushy leader with your helpers. I know you must be aware of how much money you are saving by having the GUYS help install that Drywall. Just take it easy. There will be plenty more to do after it gets taped and sanded! o_O

I did get the OUTSIDE WINDOWS DONE today. Feels good to know that’s off my
to-do list.

No score for the All-Star game yet. They are in the 4th now.

I’m hooked on watching the series: Anne with a E on Netflix.

We raked leaves 2 times today and you would never know it! Still lots to come down in front and the backyard Maple is JUST starting to turn.

Nite Wrabbits!

Gas Station Cars GIF by University of California

Gas at Krogers earlier today was: $3.57 a gal.
Tonight when I drove by it was $4.19 a gal. A $.62 cent jump in just hours!
Costco is $3.61 a gal.
Can you tell that there is an ELECTION next week!
Those low life GOP’s want to get everyone to believe that Biden is at fault. It’s the GREEDY Oil Execs doing this.

Spooky in the morning yesterday and today. Very thick fog. Very Halloweenish.

I love that term, "washing stick", K2. So, did you get to the windows? I'm so cheap that the only time I go to Starbucks is to get gift cards.

BB; I haven't ever heard of it before, but that "Give The Kids The World" sounds like one fine organization.

Lee; That's very wise of you old fart contractors to slow-pace yourselves on your projects. More time for donuts. It's when everyone is rushing is when the accidents and injuries most often happen. I can't picture what a drywall sheet carrier must look like.

Only plan for today is ....... no plan.

Good morning, I haven't gone back & read any back pages but just wanted to pop in & say Yes, I'm still alive & kicking, not very high but still kicking. There just aren't enough hours in the day any more it seems like. And at the end of the day I don't feel like I've gotten anything done, go figure. It doesn't help that my sister Barb was in a car accident a month ago & totaled her car. She was ok thankfully & so was the guy who hit her, but her pretty blue Chrysler town & country van was toast! So now if she needs to go anywhere Jane & I have to play taxi service. Luckily she works from home so we at least don't have to tote her back & forth to work every day.
I did manage to get to Maryland a couple weeks ago for Alyse's birthday, little Miss is 10 now! Only stayed 2 nights but it was a nice visit, she sure grew up fast. And for the first time in a few years I did NOT end up with a cold after I got home, I had dosed up good with vitamin C & zinc for about a month before I left so I think "maybe" that helped.
Will try to go back & read & see what you all have been up to, but these ads on here are a pain!

So good to see you back in the Hutch Karen! You were missed! Big time!
So sorry to hear about Barbs accident. Thank goodness she is okay. Hard to get over that happening. I remember when Barb got her Van and how much she liked it. Not to mention you driving her back and forth to see it. Hope Barb can find another one soon.
Aylse already 10..Wow! I remember when she was born!
We kept the “Dust Bunnies” out of your Hutch cubbie, now it’s up to you to you!

Snow White Coffee GIF
And this is how I started my morning! :)
I do share, so help yourself. We tried Peets coffee from Seattle (it was on sale at Costco) and it was very rich and tasty. Art said that lately I’ve become a major penny pincher. I’m just so ticked off at our economy and find it hard to understand that ALL these price increases are being blamed on Covid. Just saw on TV that Stelantis (former Chrysler company) just recorded record breaking profits. More money for the Execs!

Dave: We had that FOG here too! Good that it burns off fast. Fog is a good sign that it’s not COLD outside. It can be foggy all Winter! Ha ha.
YES, THE WINDOWS DID GET DONE!

Okay Wrabbits.. time to get busy around here.
Starting tomorrow we’ll be busy watching the puppy! Lord help us!

Lee: Take is slow and easy. Be careful with your BACK doing that basement job.

Enjoy your day.
Karen…again so good to hear from you! ❤️

YIPPY!!! KAREN'S BACK!!! You really have been missed around here. Sorry to hear about Barb's vehicle. I know how much she liked it. Glad that she wasn't hurt. A car can always be replaced, but a person can't!

Dave - Give Kids the World is a fantastic place for families to forget their troubles for a few days. They also provide free admission to all families to visit all the theme parks, if they wish. You can look them up online to see some of what they provide. Aside from places like St. Jude's Hospital or the Shriners Hospital, Give Kids the World is right up there with what they do for these sick kids.

Lee - Glad you guys are taking it easy on the project. You don't want to wear out your worker bees, right? I do hope you provide lots of coffee and then adult beverages at the end of the day's work!

Kathie - Wow! That's some price increase for gas in your area. Our gas tax holiday is over, but not all stations had raised their prices by yesterday afternoon. Some were up to 3.45/gal, but 7Eleven was still 3.19! I wonder if they all took a jump later in the day yesterday. I agree that for sure the GOP will blame Biden for the increased price. They love to say in their campaign ads that Biden raised the gas price when we all know OPEC is manipulating the price, even if the price of a barrel of oil goes down. Nasty #^@*%&!!!!!
Glad you got those windows done. Have fun raking those leaves. Good exercise for you. LOL

We put all the Halloween stuff away this morning. It looks very bare around here right now. Can't wait to start getting out the Christmas stuff in a few weeks.
The house smells so good right now. I'm making lamb shanks in the crock pot. They've been cooking for about 2 hours and still have 6 more hours to go. If we don't go somewhere soon, I'm going to be full just from the smell!

Time to find something light to eat for lunch. Play nice, everyone!

Good afternoon. Got my cough syrup yesterday, so glad.

Give The Kids The World pays not only for everything the child and family needs but if they have to have a nurse it pays for all of their needs. I know because a friend from childhood is a nurse and she said that she has many times gone with families to Florida with Give The Kids the World.

Happy Dance GIF

Karen dropped by = Happy Dance!
I started note this a bit ago. And just woke up with my iPad on my lap.
The guys decided that after lunch we would finish the drywall. It was a longer day than we would normally have put in but we’re done. I will clean up the basement and garage tomorrow. We started with 50 4x8 sheets and have 2 1/2 sheets left. Plus a few end cuts. A pretty good material estimate and darned hard work by the guys. The end of day beer and glass of wine were well deserved.
I’ll be back tomorrow my friends.

BB: The beautiful LEAVES got picked up by the lawn man when he cut the grass around 9:30 am. By 11:00 you wouldn’t know he did anything. I got out there with the blower around 2:00 and Art came out and helped me bag them.
I was so into blowing the leaves that I did my next door neighbors front lawn too. He works “afternoons” and it was just so nice outside it made it easy.
I’m sure the lawn and street will be TOTALLY covered in the morning.

Nancy: Hope the cough medicine helps you feel better.

Lee: I just had a feeling you would finish up that drywall and BE DONE with that part of this project. Get s picture on here!

You all better wish Art and myself a lot of luck starting tomorrow afternoon with that PUPPY WATCHING!:rolleyes:

You made my day, KC! Seeing you back on the Bunny Board is like a breath of fresh air. I told you that you are loved and have been greatly missed.

Sucks that Barb got her van totaled. But at least no one got injured. I'm always surprised how easily insurance companies will total a car. Sometimes on vehicles that have very little damage. Something tells me that you and your sister will soon be feeling the "joy" of car shopping.

Just be glad they don't accept political adds on here.

Well K2, for the next few days life as you've known it will be turned upside down as you dog-sit Manny. And you can forget about your normal sleep routine.

Let me guess BB; And I'm guessing that each year you put out fewer and fewer holiday decorations.

WOW Lee, I had never calculated how much drywall you'd be needed. But just moving 50 sheets of it is quite an achievement. Bet you slept well last night.

Let's do it again Bunnies. Since nobody has yet won the Powerball, this Saturday's drawing will be worth 1 1/2 BILLION bucks. In the last one I got the bonus number, but no other numbers to go with it.

Yesterday morning I watched a commercial free recording of "Grumpy Old Men" as I was on the stationary bike. Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, Ann-Margret and Bergess Meredeth. I'd forgotten how good and funny that movie is.

Good morning! Finally getting a break in the weather & am enjoying some cooler temps this morning, sitting at the computer with the window open & a nice cool breeze coming in!

Kathie, have fun puppy sitting this afternoon. I remember those days back in Ohio, raking leaves for hours only to have more fall off & look like nothing had ever been touched!

Dave, that does sound like a good movie, I may have to look on Amazon Prime & see if it's available for viewing. Last week my sister's & I went to see Ticket to Paradise with Julia Roberts &
George Clooney, Excellent movie! We laughed, we cried, it was just really well done!

Pat, I cheat when it comes to Halloween decorations, I turn my Jack o lanterns around that are out in front of my house so they just look like pumpkins & everything inside is "fall" decorations, so I don't have to redecorate till Christmas!

Lee, hopefully you & the old guy's construction crew aren't to stiff & sore after yesterdays marathon drywall adventure.

Nancy, Belated Happy Birthday!

Going over to Jane's this afternoon to set up for a yard sale tomorrow, the community here was going to do one this fall & then decided to just do 1 a year in the spring. Since I have some Christmas things I want to try & sell we decided to try having it at Jane's.

Here is a pic of Barb's van, I'd say the insurance co made the right call when they totaled it. Not sure if you can tell from the pic, but her back tire was at an angle, and her front passenger window had been all the way down & ended up pushed up at an angle. If Jane & I had been riding with her it could have been really bad.

Dryer is calling me, so catch up with you all sometime tomorrow

Okay gang..... we've packed up our own favorite pillows and some clothes and meds and are ready to head out of here.
Yes, DAVE.... should be a very interesting 3 days! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Karen: Yikes on that picture of Barb's van. Thank goodness she's alright and you and Jane weren't in the van with her. You'll have to tell us just what happened to get 'nailed' like that.
Hope Barb finds another van soon.

How is Scooter doing? (hope I got that name right. I'm not good at remembering names)

Lee: Hope you're pacing yourself with the clean-up today.

Enjoy your Friday!

A late good morning. Went to the bank and and the advise was a good one, a guarantee rate much higher than any CD for 5 years and still be able to take the minimum disbursement. So I have checked the maturity date for the CD's and have decided to close them out and add them to what I have in the bank and get the annuity. SO I have called the lady and left a message so she will call me later.

When we were in St Thomas I bought a bottle holder for Jennifer so today I bought her a bottle of her favorite rum to go in it, as two separate gifts.

All have a great day.

Once again this is going to be a quick post from me. We were already at Best Buy to pick up the case for my new cell phone that came in today. Just finished grabbing a hot dog for lunch and now it's time to head for the wound doctor. I am so hoping this might well be my last or next to last visit there. Can't even stop at True Blue Winery today, as Bert has an appointment for a haircut shortly after we get home. Lots of running today which I hope ends with dinner at the Grille.

I'll try to stop back later.
