Bill - That NCIS Sidney was filmed during the actor's strike. Just like I see that CBS is doing Ghosts UK to make up for the regular show's actors not working. Other countries were not involved with the strike. We'll give NCIS Sidney a try tonight to see if it's any good. Not really expecting too much though.
That's a little too soon for a Christmas Story. People here have really been going nuts decorating inside and outside of the house already. Dollar Tree is almost out of all their Christmas stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't putting out their Valentine's Day stuff already.

It's still been raining off and on around here. Therapists came and went. Neither of them was in any kind of hurry to leave. The OT I have had before, so he was ready to sit and chat while catching up on our family's goings on. I thought I was going to have to invite him for dinner!!!

Bert's off to Publix to pick up some of the stuff we need for Thanksgiving dinner. I'd like to make as much as I can in advance in between all these people coming to the house this week and next.

BB: The only reason I mentioned the Fbook message was because I was walking into the bedroom from the bathroom and my cell alerted that there was a post from you. Not a problem at all. I just thought I'd mention.
Sorry about your Gloomy damp day.

Bill:
Since there's almost NOTHING to watch on TV I watched a Hallmark Christmas story last night. It was from 2016. Not even a current one.

I made 5#'s of mashed potatoes and packaged them up into 2-serving pkgs. They're in the freezer for future use. I'm DONE cooking and freezing. NO MORE ROOM. It's times like this that I wish I had a STAND-UP Freezer in the garage or basement, but it's a tad late in life to be buying more STUFF! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

I went to the Foam Factory earlier and bought a 2" firmer Memory Topper for our bed. Put it on and it seems to feel good. I'm going to put the one I took off on the bed in the spare room. I just need to trim it to a Double Size bed.

Off to see what I can pull together for dinner. I'm not hungry, but YOU KNOW WHO WILL STILL WANT DINNER! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Really nice and sunny outside.

Good evening. Was supposed to get a call from the Dr to tell me if they got the MRI results but it never came. Am supposed to have a Duo/Meet call tomorrow morning from the Dr to go over the results of that and the breathing test. I have to leave the house by 10 to get to an appt for the SUV.

It was overcast all day but only had rain early in the morning. Tomorrow is supposed to be the real rain day.

All have a good night.

Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were sunny with hardly a cloud to be found in the sky. Very, very pretty. But beware, if you went outside. It was colder than a "Tiches Wit". I've no idea what it will be today.

Yes Bill, every year the businesses put out their Christmas goods earlier and earlier. Annoying. I was checking through the radio channels in the car the other day and found one local station playing Christmas music 24/7.

You're so right BB; So many of these house-flippers do cheap upgrades. Sometimes making the house less desirable. Glad to hear you're getting some help on that Thanksgiving dinner. I just want to know who decided that these dinners were somehow YOUR responsibility.

K2; Your cell phone goes off when someone else is on Facebook? Time to straighten out that setting. Is there a set date for your surgery? You'll be glad you had it done. Neat video of that "fence parts holder".

I don't know about you Lee, but I've never seen a gadget like that "fence parts holder".

Good morning.
That’s some jig the guy has for the fence Kathie. A lot quicker than levels! But I’d still be wanting to check every couple of boards to be sure they’re plumb.
It sounds like you were the victim of a “perfect health storm” Dave. Glad you’re back.
We recorded NCIS Sydney. I did have a look at the credits and didn’t see anyone named “Sydney”. We actually saw the British version of Ghosts before the version from the US network.
We have guests arriving and staying for a few days. We’ll do a tidy this morning and then be all ready. Ava may not appreciate having to stay out of the spare room for a bit but I’m sure she’ll get over it.
Everyone be good and I’ll drop back when I get a chance.

Good morning. Had the call from the Dr and both tests were fine, no surprises so keep doing what I have been doing. Next app, regular is now set for Jan 15th, so will set up bloodwork in a bit.

I leave in a bit to get the SUV serviced. Then I have errands to do, one place I need to go is close to the dealer, so it just makes sense to do all in one day.

All have a great day.

Wednesday Hump Day GIF by Chippy the Dog
HAVE A FANTASTIC DAY WRABBITS.

Dave: Channel 100.4 starts playing Christmas music 24/7 on the 1st day of NOVEMBER! Crazy.
My knee surgery is scheduled for Friday, Dec 8th! Time to be determined!

Lee: How fun having guests for a few days. Will they still be around for when the Town LIGHTS get TURNED ON this weekend?? Enjoy their stay.

Another FROST on the ROOF-TOPS morning. Suppose to get up to 58F by 3:00 pm. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if that happens. Brrrr cold right now.

Just got through paying Bills online. I was trying to explain to Art the process and he said if I "kick" before him he'll just have to write out checks. I told him that WE WILL BE HAVING A LESSON on how to pay bills online on the computer. He hasn't written more than 3 checks in all the decades that we've been married. Ha Ha.

Okay, out of here for now. I have bathrooms to clean and a kitchen floor that is begging to get mopped!

You all enjoy your day.

I decided to give it a chance and actually watched NCIS Sydney last night and if anyone asks when did NCIS "jump the shark", they need to look no further than NCIS Sydney. Didn't notice Mark Harmon's name associated with it so tend hat may explain why it fell so short of any of the other spin-offs.
First Wednesday morning that we weren't awakened by the lawn crew with their riding mowers and leaf blowers. Perhaps they are finally done for the season but I don't remember if they finished this early the previous two years we have lived here.
Looks like a nice day outside so I should sign off and take advantage of the good weather.

FINALLY getting a c hance to post here. Had a home health tech here for about 2 hours. It's a new service and she was a new tech. She was so s-l-o-w doing everything. I was about to go nuts waiting for her to enter data into one of her gizmos. She had a computer, a tablet and a cell phone. She had to go from one to another to enter whatever it was she was entering. Talk about over kill!!
She was barely packing up her stuff when lo and behold, the guy to check my night time breathing machine showed up. He wasn't here nearly as long as some visits. I guess he was running behind schedule today. I was glad, as I wasn't in much of a chatting mood at that point.

Kathie - That's too chilly for me. We're having another gray day with no sign of the sun. It is 75 though, so that must be good for some people. To me it feels very damp in the house. Glad I'm making lentil soup for dinner to warm the inner us.

Bill - I didn't think that NCIS Sydney was all that bad. Trying to establish characters on a new series can take time. Of course, Mark Harmon was on strike, so he couldn't be associated with this series at this point. Just have to wait and see what happens over the next few months.

Dave - I got the job of doing Thanksgiving dinner many years ago. Less that 5 times over the years did I get out of cooking for Thanksgiving. I never used to mind it, but it really is getting old now. Unfortunately, there's no one else to do it.
Too many people are watching HGTV and all think they are interior decorators. Most house flippers on HGTV are professional decorators. These people are not even close. The only stuff that looks good are the things the previous owner had dome, like the tiki bar.

Lee - Enjoy you company. It's always fun when people come to visit. Those this company have a dog also?

Didn't get a good night's sleep last night, so I think it's time for me to put on the TV, go sit in my wonderful chair and take a little snooze before it's time to start the soup.

Have agreat afternoon, everyone. Stay warm and stay dry.

Good evening. I stopped at one of the places I needed to go to on the way to the dealer and got what I needed. Then after the SUV was ready I went and got gas, using the BJ's credit card it was $2.86 a gallon then went to Walmart and got everything else on my list. I was glad to get home and take off the knee brace and the sneakers.

Then at 3:30 I started cutting the potatoes, onion and ham for the scalloped potatoes with ham. And it was good. Have enough leftover for a couple more meals.

All have a good night.

Thursday morning. Will it be 5 days in a row of sunshine? We'll see. Chilly is guaranteed.

Didn't do much yesterday. Pooches went to the groomers. Today's only plan is a follow up visit with the family doctor.

So tell us Lee; Who are these mysterious guests that are arriving at your home?

K2, I'm kinda like Art in paying bills or knowing where certain document are to be found. I figure, one less thing I can screw up.

They had Mark Harmon on some talk show the other day, Bill. He sure looked like he aged 10 years in the last 5.

Sometimes BB, these people with all their electronic devices would be a lot quicker if they just whipped out a piece of paper and a pencil.

I can be real slow sometimes in my buying of clothes or shoes. I've been thinking for about 2 months on buying a pair of those slip-in Sketchers. Finally yesterday I ordered them. I was surprised that not all that many models come in a wide width. Hey, I like room.

Good Morning Hello GIF by Mauro Gatti

Don't have much for you Wrabbits this morning. (now aren't you lucky) Ha Ha.

Dave: Can't wait to see if you like those Slip in shoes you ordered. I manage to do that with my beat-up older tennis shoes! :emoticon 0140 rofl: Hope they work out for you. Nice to know you have a follow up doctors appointment. They need to keep good track of you since your last hosp visit.

THE NEW FOAM TOPPER that I bought the other day has been taken off and is AIRING OUT in the Spare Bedroom since late afternoon yesterday. I called and asked the nice lady about the smell and she said to air it out for 3 days and it will go away. It's already better than it was. Whew. I took EVERYTHING off the bed right down to the special cover on the bare mattress and washed it all. Waiting for 3 days and then I'll put it all back on. I have this SUPER SENSITIVE NOSE when it comes to SMELLS. So it's just something that needed to be done.
I have the window open in this spare bedroom and door closed and it's freezing in here, but at least the foam is getting a chance to breathe!
ALWAYS SOMETHING! ;)

Art got the X-Mas lites down from the garage attic yesterday. Hopefully we might be able to get the Sargent's Crab Tree strung up when he gets back from biking.

Sunny here and suppose to get up to 61 degrees. (the last time for awhile according to the weather folks) Friday 57 w/drizzle and then it starts a DOWNWARD fall to 47,46, etc, etc.
Thanksgiving 35degrees! Brrr cold. (we've had worse)

You all have a good day and I'll be cleaning bathrooms and floors etc, etc, this morning!

Good morning, 4th day in a row with NO sunshine, this is getting old. Haven't had much rain just gloomy!
Lee, have fun with your guests, my money is on at least 1 greyhound visitor in the group.
Pat, hope the Dr. visit goes well, you can send some of the rain our way, all we are getting is drizzle!
Bill, I didn't watch any of NCIS Sydney, the previews I saw before were enough to tell me it wasn't my cup of tea. I sure will be glad when they get back to regular programing!
Dave, well I guess if you are going to have multiple system failures the hospital is the best place to have them. Hope you are on your way to a full recovery!
I make my own slip in shoes by using the stretchy shoe laces, works pretty good.
Kathie, what kind of mattress topper did you buy? I have tried so many trying to soften up this new mattress. They all start out good & then just go flat, no matter how much money I spent on them.
Went to Jane's on Tues. and FINALLY finished pressure washing her driveway, I also told her it would be the last time I did that! I really don't have a powerful enough machine to do it. Plus her driveway is pretty big!

Tomorrow is the community clean up day, so far 5 people have signed up to help. I am providing sandwiches & chips for lunch, so I decided to bake some cookies for dessert. I made choc chip & cranberry white choc chip, but I think I got to much butter in them as they came out kind of flat! They still taste good but they don't look very pretty.
Nothing much else to gab about, I hear it finally raining a good bit so at least if it's going to be gloomy my plants are getting watered! Have a good one all!

Because it’s not nice to not say ”hi” to my second family, well, “Hi”.
In no particular order…
Bill and Nora are from Kitchener. Nora and Lu-Ann met at Rock Steady Boxing. We had invited them down “anytime” and they chose now. Sadly, there’s not much going on in town this time of year but its really nice to have them.
Nope, no Greyhounds.
Nope, River Lights doesn’t throw the switch until Saturday night. And they will be heading home.
NCIS Sydney…
Flat cookies…as long as the word cookie is there I’m in Karen.
That cleaning cartoon reminded me of Lu-Ann and I getting ready for our guests the other day Kathie.

she said to air it out for 3 days and it will go away.
Not unlike some family. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
You spoke of shoe and clothes shopping Dave. Add me to the list of “I’d rather poke myself in the eye than shop for stuff like that“. But my 20 year old much loved, well worn and travelled Stormtech jacket needs replacing. I looked on their web site but couldn’t seem to see a comparable jacket. So, I wrote them an email and included as much info from tags as I could find to see if anything they had was similar. I got a really nice note (Likely nice because they are a Canadian company) with a couple of suggestion AND a code for 50% off! My new jacket is on the way.
My gosh, I do ramble on, don’t I?
Stay safe and well everyone.

Good afternoon. We have been getting some rain again today, not much but some.

Went and got a haircut then dropped off a couple of things at Salvation Army. And while driving to Publix realized I had left 3 things for Salvation Army at home, oh well. Got my prescription at Publix and was able to set up getting another tomorrow. And while there I got us subs of their turkey and cranberry for dinner tonight.

Will wrap the gifts that need to be wrapped and there is one more coming in Friday so will wrap that and then one more that is to come in yet.

All have a great day.
