Good morning. Bruce did not set any jobs for today so most likely in the afternoon we will start to load the SUV with all the gifts.

Yesterday a thing Bruce had ordered from Walmart came in and I am not sure if he wants to take it this weekend. It is a blow up Paddle Board and the box is very big and heavy. It will be hard to get everything in if he wants to take it.

All have a great day.

Wednesday Hump Day GIF by Chippy the Dog
YUP.... it's WEDNESDAY already and the day before the TURKEY FEAST!

You'll all love this. I have nothing for you sweet people right now.
Off to get my hair cut on the Eastside of town. 35 min drive on the Freeway!

Nice to know that AVA is not only a beautiful dog, but SMART enough to know she wasn't going out in the misty rain. Good going AVA.

Made some Reeses Peanut butter tart cups last night. Simple recipe. Hardest part was unwrapping 40 Mini Reeses Cups. Ha Ha. I don't like choc and peanut butter in a combo, so I didn't even taste them. Made them to take to my brothers tomorrow. Art loved them. But he loves ANYTHING with choc, peanut butter and sugar in them.

DAVE: Sorry about your lights going out. Hope they're back on now.
Did around that WICK and you'll be able to scratch off the wax around it.

Later gang..... gotta hit the road. Have a nice day.

Good morning, getting ready to head out to church in a little bit. Going to light a candle & say a few extra prayers, the people in this community seem to be determined to drive us all insane ! Woke up to an email from another resident asking for copies of past financial statements & mentioning that she was aware other residents had asked for the information and did not receive it. Our treasurer is one smart cookie & had previously informed the other people who requested the information that Fl. statures gave her 10 Business days to comply with the requests, which she is & has done. I just hope I can survive the next 2 weeks & preside over the meeting without losing my ever loving mind! Back later

Good morning! Not much to talk about here either. Guess it's a slow news morning in the hutch!! I've got Advent Health coming in a little while for some occupational therapy. She's not going to get much out of me today though, as I'm really not in the mood.

Got the stuffings made yesterday. I still have to make the cranberry sauce later today. I think we may get Nate and Jennifer here later too to decorate the Christmas tree. They're getting bored sitting home with no one else there.

Dave - I usually only buy Yankee Candles. Breaks my heart to have to pay so much for them though. Used to always keep a supply of the little ones that you could pop into a candle holder. Haven't bought any in ages. Bert won't let me into the Yankee Candle store any longer. I wonder why? LOL Those little ones used to cost $1. I wonder what they cost now?

Lee - I don't blame Ava for not wanting to get out of the Subie in the rain. Smart dog! Nice that you could console yourselves with a Starbuck's coffee & gingerbread. Warm gingerbread with whipped cream is my all time favorite dessert. Unfortunately, Publix no longer carries the mix. Now I have to send Bert off to Wally World and hope they have it.

I see Advent Health is here, so I better get off the computer for a while. Have a great day, everyone

Not love peanut butter and chocolate? Especially Reese's, K2. That's almost un-American.
Speaking of power outages, we have been fortunate not to have one of those for at least a year and when we have had one the generator that came with this house when we bought it has kicked in and got us through until power was restored. The generator is outside on the side of the house where we never have occasion to go and the other day one of our neighbors, whose windows in the back of her ht ouse can look out at that side of our house, called to let us know that the yellow light on our generator was on which indicates that maintenance may be required. Checked it out and confirmed the light is on and called someone to service the generator. Must be a very busy time for them because the earliest time we can get a service call is sometime late next week and the price quoted for a service call is what I would consider astronomical. Praying that we have no power outages in the meantime.
Why do I think that none of your troublesome HOA menbers belong to your church group, Karen? Two totally different types of people it appears.
Heavy rain and winds are forecast for today but Thanksgiving weather should be much better. Glad that we don't have to venture out today.

Good evening. Well all the gifts are in the SUV, so we don't have much to put in in the morning. We are leaving here about 9 am. Bruce said we can stop somewhere close to Apopka, so I think we will stop at the last plaza before we get on 429,so that will get us to Becky's about noon or 1, which will be early enough. After a comment she made yesterday on a post that Jennifer made I am not really looking forward to seeing her. I will have my book to read.

I won't be posting tomorrow so HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Happy Thanksgiving!

One of the many things I'm thankful for is my Bunny Family.

So you gobblers, got the Tums and stretch pants ready? Good, you're all set for the day.

One holiday tradition in Cleveland is the "Turkey Bowl" every year. It consists of people dressed up in costumes, and doing their best to act a fool. Plus they throw a frozen turkey down a bowling alley trying to knock down a pyramid of vegetable cans, for prizes and a trophy.

Got the TV set to record the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I believe it starts around 9 AM.

Turkey and all that goes with it sneaks in around this time.

Then FOOTBALL where half the sports fans drop off into a nap.

Whether you have a lot or a little planned for today, I wish you all a fine and hopefully relaxing Thanksgiving.

THANKFUL TO HAVE ALL OF YOU WRABBITS AS MY FAMILY!
Enjoy the day no matter what you do.
And dear Lord may the LIONS please win today! :emoticon 0136 giggle: :emoticon 0140 rofl:

Art is off doing a traditional Bike Ride with his best biking buddy to Lake Orion (about 30 miles one way) to Starbucks for a cup of coffee and then they turn around and come back home. Have been doing this on Thanksgiving for years.
Why Starbucks you may ask..... it's the ONLY place open for a cup of coffee today! Ha Ha.

Lee: Do you have enough rewards points from Starbucks to get your TURKEY/Stuffing sandwich for your lunch?? Those are really good! Hopefully, Ava will want to get out of the car for a walk this morning.
How about that CAR BLAST up at the Buffalo/Canadian Border crossing. Last I heard it was 2 business men. Such a shame they both died in the crash, but when you see the picture of the car accelerating to what they said was 80 - 100 mph and then crashing and the flames they didn't have a chance. It was either the car had a issue or the driver had a medical issue and his foot just laid on the gas pedal. Need to wait and read more about it.

Karen: I see you popped in just now while I'm posting. HAPPY THANKSGIVING KIDDO. ENJOY YOUR SISTERS AND THE THE TURKEY YOU PUT IN THE OVEN.

BB: PLEASE TAKE IT EASY TODAY. Have a good day.

Negc posted: Not love peanut butter and chocolate? Especially Reese's, K2. That's almost un-American.
Ha Ha.... That's exactly what Art would say too. I guess the Serbian GENES are more dominate in my system!

DAVE: So do you watch the Detroit Lions and the Detroit Thanksgiving Parade or the New York parade. I'm thinking maybe the New York parade so you can see the "GALS" (Rockefeller Dancers) do their HIGH STEP KICK with those long legs! Ha Ha. Have a safe and fun Thanksgiving. I wonder how many turkeys Kathi's son with all the kids has to make???

Off to get some fresh brewed coffee and a Pizzellas .

HAPPY THINKSGIVING, BUNNIES!! HOPING YOU ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS!

Karen - Good for you having the turkey in the oven already. What time do you plan to eat? We won't be having dinner until around 6, so our bird isn't in the oven yet. Most of the veggies are prepped from yesterday. Only thing I was disappointed in is how the cranberry sauce came out. It needed fresh orange juice. I told Bert to buy a large juice orange. Instead he bought a bag on generic naval oranges that were not very sweet and gave little juice. By the time it was finished, it was too late to do over, so I don't expect much to be eaten. Other than that, we're good on the rst of the meal.

Dave - Interesting tradition you have with that "Turkey Bowl". Sounds like fun. There was a 5K run this morning in this area in support of the elderly.

Kathie - I do intend to take it easy today. I did my thing yesterday. Today I am the supervisor. We will fix a charcuterie board for everyone to nibble on while dinner is being cooked. That's all I intend to work on.

Lee - Enjoy watching all that football.

Watching the parade as I type. The parade has turned into a commercial for all the shows on NBC. Went to the parade one year. It was freezing cold. We ended up heading back to the car before the parade was over. It was that cold. Took us almost 2 hours to get out of the parking lot to head for the tunnel to NJ.

Time now for a cup of coffee before Missy gets here and gets the party started. Have a fantastic day, everyone, no matter how you're spending the day.

Had a wonderful day with M&J and family. Dinner was delicious and there are plenty of leftovers for dinner again tomorrow. Their gang will be back tomorrow afternoon to decorate the Christmas tree and to put up the rest of the decorations around the inside of the house. Should be a lot of fun.

Now I am so full of food and dessert that I am read y to crach and take a nap.

See you all tomorrow. Sleep well, fellow bunnies. :sleep2: :sleep002::sleepey smile:

First up, it's Friday.......RIGHT?

Although the Lions lost, they didn't lose as bad as I was expecting. They were looking pretty sorry for quite a while.

I always watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I noticed that this year they sped things up in its' presentation. (Americans tend to have a short attention span.) So no long segments, and each performance was quick in and quick over with. No sooner was one performance over with than the next one was rushed in and began. Plus a faster tempo to most music and bands. A better format in my opinion.

We had a fantastic turkey lunch. I prefer those big meals at noon or just before. None of this waiting till late in the day. Can't remember ever going to a restaurant on Turkey-Day.

Lots of leftovers for Kathi to make TV-dinners out of for the freezer. Pizza and turkey are Kathi's 2 favorite meals.

No plans for today. But need to head down to the stationary bike to give my legs a bit of a workout. They aren't going to get stronger sitting on the couch.

Enjoy your leftovers. :)

Well it certainly sounds like everyone had a really nice Thanksgiving.
Thank you Bill. We had a nice Thursday.
Kathie, The Lions loss is on me. The minute I think I may make them my “local”team they lose. I have ample stars for a Christmas Dinner sandwich. I hope they have them this year!
Agreed Dave. I prefer a larger meal mid day. It just seems to digest better. Did you hit that bike yesterday? I sure hope so buddy. We both need to keep up our exercise.
Good to hear that the gang will be back today to give a hand with all things Christmas Pat. I reckon Missy could work 24/7 from now until Christmas.

Funny company Amazon. Lu-Ann would like a Kindle for Christmas. I ordered one for her Monday on Amazon thinking I’d get one while they had them in stock and they likely wouldn’t be deep discounted for Black Friday. Yesterday they were $40 off. So I rang Amazon customer service and asked if they would credit me the difference. “No”. They asked me to return the one that arrived Tuesday for a full refund and reorder one at the lower price.
Everyone enjoy their day. If you are out and about watch out for distracted Black Friday bargain hunters.

Hello all my Wrabbit family! HOLD on to your BUCKS and don't go overboard with BUYING.

Lee.......nice catch of the $40 buck savings on the Kindle! Silly having to return something and reorder! Do you have a Kohl's over your way? They take Amazon returns inside the store over here by us. Makes it fast and convenient.

It's 29F here right now and BRIGHT and SUNNY. Brrrr.

I have nothing more for you good folks.
Art and I are going over to the BIG Hospital in Royal Oak to go to a CLASS that tells 'me' all about my knee surgery. And they'll do bloodwork while I'm there. (2 weeks away)

Just got a CALL from the Hospital and I can go in today EARLY for the class and draw. Yippee! :emoticon 0140 rofl:

Later gang!

Good BLACK FRIDAY, everyone! So who headed out bright and early to catch all those sales? I know it wasn't me. I slept in until 9:30!!!

Sounds like everyone had a super day yesterday. So who fell asleep after eating all that turkey? No one around here. Unlike most of you, we prefer to eat later. We had dinner around 6:30 and that worked perfectly for us. Earlier we had a charcuterie board while the work on the dinner was being done. Also went through 8 oz. cream cheese on the easiest appetizer ever - cream cheese with red pepper jelly on top or crackers. They ate every drop of it,

M&J will be here a bit later with the kids to decorate the Christmas tree and to possibly get out any other decorations we want out here in the inside of the house. Not sure how much that will be until I start seeing stuff. Their payment for doing all this work is another whole Thanksgiving dinner in the form of leftovers, of of that we have plenty.

Kathie - Sorry your Detroit team lost yesterday. I'm also not going to wish you well on tonight's MSU game. We will be pulling for Penn State. Our friend the retired doctor, went there and we cheer for them just as they cheer for the Gators.

Wow! I just noticed it's just about lunch time. Ya know what that means? I need to convince Bert to snag some slices of turkey for a sandwich. Who knows it there will be any left after dinner tonight. Better take advantage of it now while I have a change, right?

Have a wonderful day, gang, and be careful if you are out and about today. People are doing stupid things while driving and are not payment attention. Stay safe!

Lee: I KNEW IT..... I was almost going to correct my "DRAW" word when I posted that earlier, but I said to myself...NAW NOBODY WILL see or care~ Ha Ha, I should never give you and DAVE a chance to slam me. :emoticon 0140 rofl: :) Too funny.
Got in and out in a flash. I now have daily stretch exercise to do and have to use this plastic type container and for breathing exercised. It's not the one with tiny little round balls that go up and down, rather you take a deep breath and hold it for 5 seconds. It has numbers on it that you are suppose to reach while holding your breath. I have to do this "30" times a day! CRAZY! Nurse said my lungs are clear and they want to make sure they stay that way for the surgery. Something new for me.... never had to do that before surgeries.

The TRAFFIC on the freeway and on main streets is UNBELIEVEABLE. We passed the UpScale mall in Troy, MI and the cars were lined u in the RIGHT HAND LANE for 2 miles before they could even see the mall. CRAZY. No sale is that important to waste my time sitting in a car and using up gas. I'm just glad it was a 3 lane road and it didn't slow the other lanes down.

BB: I wish I was your neighbor I could use a Turkey Sandwich. We didn't bring any turkey home with us from last nights dinner.

Out of here for now. Gotta make up some charts for all my exercise.
