St Patricks Day Irish GIF by Salvador Sanchez Artist
Okay all you WANTA-BE -LEPRECHAUNS.....time to take off your GREEN SUITS and hit the sack.

Karen: Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight.

Bill/Rita: Glad you both had a good St Patty's Day! Hope the Cabbage & Corned Beef doesn't keep you up through the night.

Mike: Just as long as you can STILL GET UP.... consider yourself one lucky fella. Get some lightweight bar-bells and do some ARM STRETCHING exercises.

DAVE & LEE: Just want to report that GAS at our Kroger station went up $.52 cents a GALLON overnight. It was still $3.23 at Costco. $3.77 a gallon at Krogers. NUTS! Sure glad I have a full tank right now. Lately I TOP off my gas tank whenever gas prices drop. I don't wait until the tank is empty. I know it's only a matter of a few bucks or cents, but it makes me feel better to try and beat the system.

Got to watch a new "CALL the MIDWIFE" tonight. I bet they give us 3 episodes and then it'll go into re-runs again! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Good Monday morning Bunnies! Wake up with a green tongue? Think real hard about what you were drinking last night.

Add me to the list of people having a relative being born on St. Patrick's Day, K2. Which is why my Virginia daughter's birth date is one of the very very few that I can remember.

I'm so happy that many of you enjoyed the videos of the dancers and singers. They do make it look effortless.

In recent days it's been in the 60's, and some days close to 70. Most of yesterday was sunny. But when I woke up from a BEloved afternoon nap I looked out the kitchen window. It was snowing, and coming down pretty hard. But it only lasted about 20 minutes, and then the sun came out again.

Ya never know what you are going to get this time of year.

30F feeling like 19F to start this Monday morning! Yuk!
We had a brief flurry yesterday as well Dave. Last week people were out in shorts and T-Shirts. Yesterday and for the foreseeable future winter wear will be back in fashion.
It sounds like you and Rita certainly enjoyed your St. Paddy’s Day hijinx Bill!
Fuel here is going crazy too Kathie. It’s gone up 15 - 20 cents per litre since we got home a week ago. That’s roughly 60 - 80 cents per US gallon. We noticed the ConEd “candy cane“ smokestacks in Trenton came down early Friday morning. They always stuck out like an unsightly sore thumb on the horizon!
Did that short snooze on the porch happen Karen? You made it sound pretty inviting.
Mike, what amazes me as I watch those dancers is it seems they only move from their hips down! Sometimes when I’m on the treadmill I swing a couple of 2 pound weights to help with my arms.
I have a Zoom meeting at 10:00 with a professor at The University of Western Ontario. It has to do with living with someone with Parkinson’s. Hopefully it will be interesting and we will both gain a little insight into things. He sent some questions the research team have put together so I can make a few notes. And here I thought my college days were behind me!
You folks all enjoy your day.

Happy Monday Morning GIF by Lucas and Friends by RV AppStudios
Not sure what there is to be HAPPY ABOUT!
Like Lee said it's COLD. At 8:00 am. it was 21F with a Wind Chill of 15F. It's gone up a tad, but the
SNOWFLAKES are flying around. Hopefully, doing a last of the season farewell dance.

Lee: Remember NOT to CHEW GUM while in class. Hope the session is full of good things for both you and Lu-Ann.

I stayed under the covers until 8:05 a.m. and only got up because Nature called. :toilet: Not sure I could stay in bed much longer, but it sure would be nice to try!

I was looking for old file folders in the basement and came across pictures of a Choir Golf Outing from 1981. Yikes, I was a blonde and TALLER and SKINNY. Way too many members in the pictures have passed. I'll try and use my cellphone to take a picture of the prints and SHOCK you all with them later. Ha Ha.

Right now, I need to refresh my TEA!

Karen..... hope you slept better last night.

Good morning from grey & gloomy Belleview, rained some this morning so it's muggy too!

Kathie, great pic of you & your friends, I'd wager we ALL looked a lot younger back in 1981! I did sleep better last night thanks, now if I could just stop waking up at 6 am that would be great!

Lee, hope the zoom meeting went well & you were able to gain some new info to help you help LuAnn! No snooze on the porch yesterday, but I did fall asleep in my chair last night watching Hometown on Hgtv. I was sure I was awake thru the whole show until I realized the homeowner on the current show was not the same as the one I'd been watching. So I took myself off to be at 8:15 last night.

Bill, sounds like a pretty cool way to spend St Patty's day even if the food wasn't the worlds best.

Dave, I find I don't have as much trouble remember peoples birthdays, but don't ask me how old someone is cause I usually have no clue. (myself included, I have on more than one occasion thought I was older than I was)

Mike, I find myself going down the same cat video rabbit hole on Facebook, I totally lose track of time! Fay is a lady after my own heart, I'll take anything with caramel & sea salt!

Managed to make it to church this morning in between rain showers & got the 9 bags of mulch put down. There are a couple spots that could use a little more, but for now it looks pretty good. Came back home, had breakfast and that is pretty much all I've done for today. I did toss a load of laundry in the washer & it's in the dryer now, so I guess I wasn't a total goof off. Sun is trying to come out so maybe the weather guessers were wrong as they said rain & thunderstorms all day.

Let me see. Church, mulch, breakfast, laundry…Karen, youkve done more before noon than most people do all day!
That photo leaves me with one question “Blondie”…what kind of clubs are they? :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
The session was pretty interesting. It focused on “care partners”, what supports we would like to see etc. Well worth the time invested if even one positive thing comes out of it. We may have a follow up session in about 3 months.
Games day!
Have a good one.

Lee: Glad the Zoom Class was informative. Every little bit helps.
And I have
NO CLUE what brand of clubs I had back then. I did enjoy my golfing days!

We got a FEW SNOWFLAKES earlier. Like 56 maybe and then it stopped. Ha Ha.

Karen: You never stop amazing me. I bet the mulch looks great around the church. Pictures next time girl! You know we love pictures.

My project today is to make TABS/LABELS for my recipe hanging files.
On another day I will TRY my BEST to THROW OUT COOKBOOKS that have been in the garage in a plastic tightly locked plastic container for 1.5 years. I went into 1 time. YUP, time to pitch.
These days everything is ONLINE and easy to find.
I will save my "Better Crocker Red Checkered" cookbook because my MOM gave it to me when we got married. Ha Ha. All the Martha Stewart cookbooks are getting pitched.

Later gang. Need more TEA! Might have to spike it this time! (That was for BB)!! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Fay took me to the dr. today, a routine check up and go over all of my meds and problems. He is going to call a few specialists for them to take some tests and start taking some shots for my bones. o_O
K2, I do some counter push up, isometrics and loosen my arms, that is all I am interested in doing. I use to do a lot more a long long time ago. A great picture of you, thanks for sharing. We got about the same amount of snowflakes this afternoon.
Karen, with all the things you do I thought maybe I should become more active. Then I thought again, I couldn't begin to do what you do.
Lee, glad the session was interesting and helpful.
Dave, Fay use to t hink she was part Irish, later she discovered she is part scottish and a decendent??of Pocohantus????

Where is that spelll check when I need it???
Bill, nice you enjoyed the pub. It has been a long time since I sat down at a pub or any like it. Sitting at a bar with live music and friend was always enjoyable for me.

Dave, fay use to think she was Irish but foung our she is a little bit scottish and a little bit Pocahantus.???? Where is that spell check when I need it.

So Mike, is there a spot that you and Fay, Dave and Kathi, Art and Kathie and Lu-Ann and I could meet for lunch? Dave could sing so it would be like sittin’ at a bar with live music and friends.
By way of reference we’re about an hour and a half from Toledo.
G’nite folks.

I've got the answer for you Lee about what kind of clubs those were in K2's 1981 picture. They are Serbian putters. :)

Quite the busy Bunny you were yesterday, KC. But then again you are always quite a bit more busy than I am.

I've mentioned that the total solar eclipse is coming through this part of Ohio next month. Which means that the local TV stations keep mentioning details about it.

I learned one little tidbit, yesterday. These total eclipses only last about 3 or 4 minutes. But in that time period, on average, the temperature drops 10 degrees.

I never knew that.

Good morning.
I sure hope Dave is having a bit of a sleep in this morning.

WHEW, there you are. It’s not like you my friend to pop on at 6:23!
When we stopped in Perrysburg their Kroger’s had a whole section dedicated to the eclipse. Hats, T-Shirts, viewing glasses! Our news people were talking about the temperature change and possible high winds during the eclipse too. Pretty amazing to think that there’s likely nobody alive that saw the last one! And when the next one rolls around in 124 years, well, do the math!
Oh boy! COSTCO is on tap for today.
You all have a wonderful day.

Good Mid Morning Wrabbits~ Still FREEZING COLD here.
And it's suppose to be SPRING. Bah Humbug!

Lee: I'm all for a MEET UP in OHIO! It's way past time for another one of those! Let's do it when it warms up. Life is too short to miss another Bunny Meet-Up!

Now.......about those HUGE TREE STUMPS at the neighbors property! The tree company is back and they're cutting down the STUMPS. I'll let you know if they GRIND them down to the ground. Knowing my "fussy neighbor" they'll be down to level ground before the end of the day. They have a few more trucks out in front of the house. Man oh man this has to be costing them a FORTUNE! $$$$$$$ Better them than me! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

I need to warm up my kitchen, so I'll be making a batch of Biscotti's w/dried sour cherries and Almonds in them! So good with coffee or tea.

You all behave yourselves and enjoy your day! BRING ON THE 70's temps please.

Good morning, bright & sunny here today but CHIILY! A big change from yesterday & going down into the 40's tonight, brrr!

Kathie, those biscotti sound really good, I may have to try making a batch of them sometime.

Mike, good luck with the shots for your bones, I've been taking a generic of Fosomax for a while now, I have an appt. in May for a bone density scan to see if it's helping.

Dave, how cool to be able to see a full solar eclipse, I remember making those viewing boxes to see an eclipse when I was a kid. Not sure whether we will see any of it in Florida or not.

Lee, have a fun trip to Costco, do they have sample ladies on Tuesday?

Up early this morning for a Dr. appt. annual wellness check up. Everything looked good on my bloodwork except my cholesterol is a tad high again. She gave me the option of going on medicine or trying supplements & diet for 4 months to see if it went down, I took the diet & supplement choice. She suggested Red Yeast Rice, but after reading some of the study's on that I think I'll stick with fiber, diet & exercise. The RYR can cause liver & kidney damage & since it's supplement there is no laboratory control over the products. Just a little to risky for m
Going to lunch with my sister's today to a local Mexican restaurant and other than that not a lot on the agenda for today. Catch up with you all later!

A late good morning. Have not been feeling very good the past couple of days. Slept most of yesterday but am better today.

We did get a coooool down over night it is 67 right now but it is windy so not very nice outside at least it is sunny.

All have a great day.

When did the prices at Costco go up so much! Holy Cow! Stuff has jumped by dollars as opposed to a few cents here and there.
There seem to be sample ladies at our Costco everyday Karen. I very seldom stop at their booth because it’s surrounded by people who don’t get “take a sample and get out of the way”. I’m with you over so many of the “natural” supplements. You can never be sure what else may be in there.
How’s the neighbour‘s cutting and grinding going Kathie? I kinda know roughly where you, Mike, Dave and I live. Well, I’m really sure about where I live. ;) It’s a matter of figuring out a meeting spot that everyone is comfortable driving to. And more to the point, from to get back home.
With the windchill here it still doesn't feel above 40F.
Have a good afternoon folks.

LEE: I know how you feel about the grocery prices. And in CANADA it's even worse than here in the States!
I just got back from grocery shopping at our local Kroger's. My bill was $138. I did have a small knife sharpener and a Oven thermometer in my basket. So that was about $15 bucks give or take for those 2 items. The Oven thermometer may be going back. It's reading the same as the one I have in there now. I was careful to open the pkg without destroying it.
Meanwhile,
on my bill I did save $49 bucks by using coupons and Digital savings. We're good for a few weeks at least. It wasn't crowded and I did shop wisely.

I did make a point of looking across the creek at the house with the TREE REMOVAL issue. Looks really nice. All the stumps have been ground down to the dirt. They left them a big pile of woodchips on top of each stump. Seems like they do that when they grind down stumps. I'm thinking they pour some type of solution or granules on what is left of the stump to help it ROT OUT. (just my own opinion) It does look better than those pictures I posted.

Our temps are at a Whopping 44F right now and a nice cool breeze to go with it.

Pick a place to meet up and we'll make plans on being there.
Maybe one of Mike's daughters can drive Mike & Fay to the "Meet-Up" if it's not too far away.

Since took so long at the grocery store the BISCOTTI's will be made later tonight. :clap002:

67 degrees right now. Much cooler than yesterday but a beautiful, sunny day. We drove down to Stuart, Fl to have lunch with Lucille and Jack (Jamie's dad) at a restaurant "Two Georges at Dockside" where I had the very best fish and chips that I have had in a very long time. At the end of our meal Rita and I shared a chocolate layer cake that was more than both of us could finish in a single meal so we brought almost half of it home. Food and service, and company were terrific.
Glad to hear that your neighbor finished the job by removing those ugly tree stumps. I am sure that your view of that property is 100% better now that they have been removed.
We made our reservations for our flight home. Kevin and Jamie will be in FL for their cruise, so they will be able to drive us to the airport and if we are without a car for a few days we will either rent a car for that brief period or manage to survive without one for a few days.

Whatever was lacking in the food at the Irish pub was more than compensated for by the atmosphere and the fun crowd.

Mother Nature didn't get the memo that it was spring here in Massillon yesterday either, Lee. Most of the day it was in the 30's and lower 40's. Sunny and pretty, but sure not feeling very springlike.

K2; I had a feeling that your neighbor wasn't going to leave those stumps unremoved. They were just ugly. Our neighborhood was built in the early 50's. Since then almost all of the trees in front yards have been removed, along with grinding out the stumps.

I'd forgotten about those boxes to view the sun we made when we were kids, KC. I wonder if any kids today will make them to view the total solar eclipse?

Bill; So sad to see your Florida vacation coming to an end for this year.

Mike; You're going to have to explain to me what "counter push-ups" are.

Good thing Kathi paid attention to the note on our bulletin board saying today is the day for my dental check up. I had it stuck in my head that it is tomorrow.
