Good morning! Cool but sunny here to start the day!
Mike, nice looking group of people in that pic, thanks for posting it!
Dave, it would have been a tie for me Jelly beans are my fav, with Reece's pnut butter eggs a close 2nd.
Kathie, trust me, if I didn't live so close to the church I probably wouldn't make it to so many services, but since it's just over a mile away I don't mind. I got gas at Sam's club the other day for $3.28
Your Easter is really late this year!
Lee, haven't picked up any Spanish, even after being in my great nieces homeschool Spanish class last year. They were learning the days of the week & months of the year, I thought for sure I would be able to remember some of that, but Nope!
Bill, having 1 less suitcase to either check in or carry around will help a lot with th trip home. I'm glad you are going to be able to hopefully have nice weather for this last week.

Here is a link that explains the Stations of the Cross, it's basically a devotional walk that shares events from Jesus's last day on earth. We took turns carrying a wooden cross around the Lake, stopping 14 times to read scripture about the event we were commemorating. https://www.episcopalchurch.org/glossary/way-of-the-cross-stations-of-the-cross/

Got a call from my Dr. office yesterday that apparently I have high blood pressure. It was a little high when I was in the last time so she had me monitor it for a week & then take her the results. I was surprised because I didn't think the readings were that high, until I did a google search and while they weren't dangerously high, it was elevated. Bummer, I made it 73 yrs with no prescription meds. I will be taking the same BP medicine that Scooter was, just double the dose.

Easter dinner is at my house tomorrow, I have the eggs & potatoes cooked for the potato salad & will make that today, along with a fruit salad. Jane is bringing the baked beans & Barb is bringing deviled eggs & a raspberry filled cake with cream cheese icing. My friend Pam is joining us & gave me a pack of Kings Hawaiian rolls for dinner. Wendy is bringing herself. And I guess if I'm going to get anything done I need to get moving!

Good Saturday morning Wrabbits!
It’s suppose to start raining here around 10:30 am. Dreary and overcast right now.
Easter Sunday will be COLD. For us Serbs it will be just another Sunday at church.

Karen; Your dinner menu for Easter sounds PERFECT. Makes me want to have some potato salad!

Dave: I’d pick the Choc Bunny. Never was a fan of Jelly Beans.
I do want to go to our Krogers on Monday EARLY and get some Lindt candies at 50% off. Even at that price they are expensive, but a nice treat to have around.

I have 5 nut roll dough to roll out this morning. And then I need to make the Choc dessert I’m bringing to Jill’s tomorrow.

I’ll be mailing 2 of the Nut rolls to a dear friend in California. Her brother was murdered in an attempted robbery in his apartment complex parking lot. He was talking to a friend and some moron came up to them to rob them. He shot them and ran away. So sad. I knew the family from when they lived here in Detroit. We all grew up together in the church. And we still keep in touch. It’s like they never left. There was one other person that got shot too and is in critical condition in the hospital. This happened during the day. Nice neighborhood too. Crazy. Too many guns out there.
Some woman got shot in a grocery store parking lot the other day over a PARKING SPACE. She died and the shooters will end up in jail. Nuts! The world is do wrong these days. Sad.

Lee: You are so right about how things would basically stop on Good Friday years ago. We weren’t allowed to go outside from 12 -3 pm. Even if it wasn’t our Good Friday. Stores would close, etc. Doesn’t happen like that anymore.

Okay, you all have a nice Holy Sat. I’m off to roll out some Nut Rolls.

Marshmallow drops today will be soggy ones or have to go inside big gyms. Ha ha.

Good morning. We made it safe to Jennifer's yesterday. Stopped at Burger King in Lake Wales for lunch. Had a coupon for 2 Whoppers, 2 Lg Fries and 2 Lg drinks for $13.49 so did that. Traffic was pretty heavy but it kept moving so that was good.

I have lived in Fl for 57 years and have not learned any Spanish. Actually those that speak Spanish don't mix that much with non Spanish and they even pretty much separate them selves as to where their origins are whether being Cuban, Puerto Rican, Mexican or Guatemalan, but the Mexican and Guatemalan will mix if their origins are Mayan. And they al have a different way of talking Spanish, with it being either from Spain or Mexico, most words are the same but some are very different. Those from Cuba and Puerto Rico speak with Spanish influence and Mexican and Guatemalan Mexican influence.

All have a great day.

I guess that the Reese's peanut butter eggs would top my list. In fact there is a partially open package here just tempting me to indulge. I once made the mistake of mentioning that I liked jelly beans and for quite some time afterwards, I would be buried with them as gifts from anyone who couldn't come up with anything else to give. I do like them, but in moderation.
Had a good visit yesterday with Rich and Dianne and three other friends who are visiting from the west coast of Florida this weekend. Two of them have recently purchased a house in our neighborhood in East Bridgewater so they will be both friends AND neighbors.

Michael found many of the picutes I lost but it opened up many more problems. We will take care of it the next time he comes over and has a lot of time.
Dave, chocolate!!!
Kc, I was hoping to find some pictures of when Fay and I met your group in Forida also but couldn't. I will keep looking.
K2, Kc, Fay used to make nut rolls but buys them now. The bought ones are much sweeter that the ones she bought. She also used to make Kiffles. I think I mentloned that.
Thanks for the link Kc.
Patty and Michael are coming over tomarrow as usual,,,,
HAPPY EASTER everyone.

Happy Easter Rabbits !

I hope you've all gotten finished with your egg deliveries.

So true that religious holidays aren't taken all that seriously these days. Heck, when I was a kid almost every store was closed on Sundays. The times, they are a-changing.

I hope that no matter what you are doing today, even if it's almost nothing, you have a calm and relaxing day.

One last tidbit I learned from the news yesterday; We've all heard the name given to male rabbits, female rabbits, and what a group of rabbits is called. (None of which I can remember at the moment.)

But they have also given a name to that distinctive bunny hop. It's called a BINKY. No joke.

Yes Karen, thank you for the info on Stations of The Cross.
My gosh Kathie, what sad things to have happen to your friends. A fall can happen to anyone but to be gunned down minding your own business.
I’ve got to call Apple Mike. I have tons of photos that are in old iPhoto files that I can’t seem to open with the current photo program.
We don’t watch the show that had the cruise ship disaster but heard about it Bill. I can see it giving already nervous people second thoughts. A friend of ours is a very nervous cruiser. He can’t understand how something so big and tall stays afloat and upright. Yet flying doesn’t bother him at all.
If you are getting together with a group today to celebrate Easter have a wonderful day. If you’re having a quiet day, well, you have a wonderful day too.

Probably won't be able to check in later so wanted to be sure & wish you all a Good Morning & Happy Easter!
Jane is going to spend the night tonight so I can do her taxes tomorrow, funny how when you have no money coming back filing early is NOT a priority.

Happy Easter, everyone.
Worst thing about that TV show about the cruise ship capsizing was the fact that it was three weeks long.
Abomination of the week was the ad on Facebook touting a T shirt that linked the Gallagher name with Trump supporters. I was pleased to see how many Gallaghers have posted their distaste for the shirt and for the company that made and is trying to sell it.

Good morning Rabbits.
just hopped in for a visit.

Karen, my favorite service is the Stations of the Cross. Ours was usually done in the church in the evening.. lighting turned down low.
nothing was said, we all sat down and bowed our heads in silent prayer. Then one parishione would stand up and recite the first station. Tnen they sat down.. after a while another parishioner would shand and recite the next station.. and so on. When everything was said, we just quietly filed out.

it was so somber. It brought the significance home to you.

Mitch. I am sorry about your friend. Any death affects us. But a sudden and violent
death such as this..will hurt forever.
I also lost a friend this way. She was an estate agent In Galveston She went to show a house. It was not even her call. But the agent that was called was busy, so BJ went in her place.
the person killed her, and they never found the beast responsible.

the randomness gets to you.

All we can do is to live our lives as best we can, and like the doctors oath..
” First do no harm”.

you guys support of one another is perfect.

have a great Sunday.

p.s. I love the Original Cadburys Easter Bunnie

Red Stripe: Thanks for “Hopping In”. And thanks for your kind words. It’s always nice to have you join us.

LEE: Great Video. Hope you had a great day.

I hope you all enjoyed your Easter.

I was busy from morning until late evening.

Got up and rolled a few more Nut Rolls & Apricot Rolls.
Then took some over to my brother & SIL.
Then off to our church hall for a Sunday choir rehearsal. (Yes, I actually skipped church)
Then delivered a Apricot roll to a fellow church friend that didn’t show up at the hall today
Then came home and got a few things together and Art & I drove over to the kids house for a fantastic dinner. Manny was a ton of fun while we were there.
I’m tired just posting all this.

I have PT in the morning. And so begins my week!

My brother gave us 2 Eclipse Glasses he ordered
a package of them from Amazon. So we’ll be looking into the sky to experience the Eclipse.
Dave: According to a chart I saw you are in a really good area to watch the Eclipse. Toledo, Ohio is another good area.

You all have a good week!

A very nice post "Red Stripe". You sound like a fine person. I like your aim in life, "First do no harm".

”a buck, a doe and a colony” Dave. You're a very smart Bunny, Lee. Sorry, no prize.

Any pillow fights last night with Jane, KC?

K2; For some reason I can see you wearing that bunny costume.

You've got to admit Bill that the 3rd episode of "911" where they had that ship capsize was well worth waiting for. Can't stream everything.

Nothing for us planned today. It'll be the 1st day that our newspaper won't be delivered every morning around 5. Now, the newspaper will arrive in the mail. I guess that some desk-jockey decided that it was cheaper to mail the papers than pay delivery people.

Our newspaper deliverer for the past 8 years left a note with Sunday's paper wishing us well. That was nice.
She's past retirement age but seemed to enjoy delivering newspapers. I've got no idea what she's going to do now.

As a going away present, we gave her a gas card.

April 1st. And that’s no joke.
This constant rain, cold and grey skies is getting old fast. The guessers are saying Friday before we will catch a glimpse of the sun.
Thank you for dropping by Red Stripe. Always good to hear from you.
Ah, the eclipse. We were planning on going to one of our favourite local wineries, Viewpointe, on the shore of Lake Erie. Like so many places they are having “an eclipse event”. It’s starting to sound like way too many people in some areas for my liking. I guess we’ll give it a little more thought.
Not much else for now.
Enjoy your day and watch out for the other guy!

No cleaver April Fools Joke here. Bummer.

I was able to find the SNL skit from Saturday. I'm posting it for those who might have missed it.

The SUN is out there shining and getting ready for it's Eclipse event.
Lee, I can't blame you for being concerned about the crowd at the Winery for the Eclipse. Can you imagine how many WINO's would forget to put on their special glasses and just look up at the sun!

You all have a good day.
I'm getting ready to go to PT soon. Later gang.

DAVE/Kathi: Nice gesture giving your former Newspaper gal a fuel card. You two are always so thoughtful. :clap002::emoticon 0115 inlove:

The guessers are saying Friday before we will catch a glimpse of the sun.
Which would explain the beautiful blue skies and sunshine we’ve had since mid morning.
I like to think that with all of the publicity and information nobody would be stupid enough to try looking at the sun without proper eye protection Kathie. If they do I guess it’s kinda one way for God to cull the herd…
Sadly your video isn’t available in Canada. Nope, don’t know why. Especially when we were looking at MI & OH across the lake and river just this morning.

Any chance you’ll get that paper before it becomes yesterday’s news Dave?
Best get the munchies in the oven. Today is games day and the gang will be here in about 20 minutes.
Be good folks. The Staff Captain is watching us. ;)

Lee: Can you just plug in the site address that is below in VERY SMALL print for that video?

So today after PT, which was great, I went on a few errands.

Let me tell you folks.......it certainly is SPRING BREAK for the Kiddies around here. They were being dragged around at each of my stops. Amazing how many kids are out with their parents today. o_O o_O

DAVE:
Did the newspaper ever make it? What happens on HOLIDAYS when there is no delivery of mail. WAIT.....you GET OLD news from the day before and NEW news from that day. Good luck with all that. Art reads his news on the computer. Our newspaper only offered limited delivery on certain days and it was more expensive than getting it on the computer. (E-news)

Nice and Sunny all day, but 52F is still chilly for me.

While I do most of my reading on my Kindle instead of physical books and get much, or, most of my news from TV or the car radio, I still prefer a newspaper and that is one of the things I miss most while we are in Florida.
Picked up the rental car around noon today and the Rav4 was picked up around 3:30 so we are pretty well situated until it is time to fly home. Nothing special planned for the next few days but if we do need to go anywhere at least we have a car available to us.
52 F would, and will, feel quite chilly for me too, Kathie. It was 83 today and felt even hotter than that with less breeze than we have been getting. What may have made it seem even hotter is the fact that the rental car is a black Chevy Malibu. The AC in the car will definitely be getting a workout over the next few days.

Good evening. We did not leave Jennifer's until 12:30 and we did not stop until we got to the local veggie stand, so we were just at 3 1/2 hours. Traffic was not bad.

Yesterday we did not eat until 6 and it was good. Clara's sister and BIL did not get there until 7 so as soon as they got there Michael, Clara, Max, Norma and Justin di the egg hunt. This year Jennifer did the $20, $10 and $5 but then also did a few $2 and a few $1. Just was the big winner getting $23. Michael and Max got the other money and the girls were left out.

Once Norma and Justin ate they put on Wonka. Which what I did see I was not really impressed with. But Clara was singing along with the songs as she and Michael have watched it 17 times on Max.

All have a good night.
