Bill, Fay prefers the newspaper and I get mine from the computer. I want to know what has happened, not someones opinion. 83 would be great for me.
Didn't Donnie look at the sun a few years ago Lee??I can't remember the details. Fay feels pretty much the same as you about culling the herd.
I hope your PT went well K2. I use to do some with the computer like phone but quit after a while, now I use enso which works pretty well for me.
Thanks for the video.
I typed this a few hour ago and forgot to post it. Does that sound familiar. I enlarged the print this time.

That’s the message I get when I try to watch and / or copy and paste the link Kathie. Your break is a couple of weeks later than here. Another reason we get out of FL when we do.
We always laugh Bill. When we first get to FL, hearty northerners we all are, 52F is short and golf shirt weather. Now at home like this afternoon we got some sun, it was 54F and I was in a sweat shirt and light jacket to walk Ava. Enjoy that Malibu and it’s AC. A black car in a hot state always makes good sense.
As I recall Mike, the moron glanced into the sun during an eclipse of some sort while standing on the balcony at The White House. Melania sported fashionable mega bucks sun glasses. That was when she used to been seen with him.
We’re hearing that because the eclipse will take place about the time kids would be getting out of school, many boards are cancelling school that day. Now if kids stare at the sun it won’t be the school’s fault.
G’nite my friends.

"April showers bring May flowers", is the saying.

If that's true, we should have lots of flowers next month. It started raining last night and will continue well into Wednesday. With strong storms coming in tonight. It seems the older I get, the more nervous I get about storms.

Our newspaper that was normally delivered at 5 AM, finally showed up with the mail at 6 PM yesterday. That blows. I too prefer reading an actual paper.

And that's it from me this morning. Enjoy your day in any way you can. I'm currently thinking how funny it would be to set loose a dozen chickens in our neighborhood. Got a feeling that Kathi would nix that idea.

It would be interesting to see how many would cross the road Dave.
“Drizzle” seems to be the new favourite word from our weather guessers. Just below “light rain” on the what’s it doing outside scale. I hope that wherever everyone is, if you’re getting any kind of less than pleasant weather it’s at least not stormy.
Fuel jumped 4 cents a litre yesterday. That’s about 15 cents per US gallon. And that’s no April Fool’s gag!
We have a couple of errands in Windsor today. I’m betting coffee will be involved.
All of you stay out of trouble and have a good Tuesday.

Good morning!

Red Stripe, nice of you to pop in! This is my 1st yr in an Episcopal church so the Stations of the Cross was a new experience for me, but as you said, very moving!

Kathie, so sorry to hear about the shooting of your friend. It just seems like people get crazier all the time!
How is Mr. Manny doing? Did they ever find out what his medical problem was?

Lee, amazing how your weather perspective changes once you get back home! I remember feeling the same way when we would come to Florida on vacation.

Mike, I think Donnie has been doing more than looking at the sun for a LONG time! Didn't there used to be an old wives tale about looking at a full moon would drive you crazy? That would explain a lot

Dave, I haven't had a physical newspaper in years! We used to get one delivered when I lived at the other house, but it kept getting more & more expensive. And it seemed like half the time I wouldn't get my Sunday paper which was always the one I wanted the most because it had the coupon section in it. Finally just gave up & cancelled it.
Hope the bad weather doesn't cause any problems in your area!

Nancy, sounds like a nice time with family, but that would be way to late for me to eat Easter dinner. We ended up not eating until 2 instead of 12-12:30 because Wendy went home after church to get her coleslaw & Sparkplug jumped in the car & wouldn't get out! She had to take him for a ride & then bring him back home to get him out, crazy dog!

We did have a very nice Easter in spite of having to eat later than planned. My friend Pam from church joined us and she fit right in! Even Hansel kept getting on her lap to snuggle!
Today is Barb's birthday, so of course we are having lunch at the clubhouse so she can go in the pool! It's supposed to be in the mid 80's but cloudy all day, so Jane & I won't be joining her in the pool!
I've been taking a few days to unwind from last week & actually have the whole week off from church services. Even choir practice on Thurs is cancelled because we've already gone over the song for Sunday & did well, so we will just go in 45 mins. earlier Sun. to practice.
Thurs. I hope to start painting the spare bedroom and try to sort & toss a few things that are just taking up space!

That's about all from me, have a great day all!

Just plain ole GLOOMY outside. Very light drizzle.

Karen: Good for you not having rehearsals or much church this week. REST UP for the PAINT JOB on Thursday. You should just about be done with your inside projects for a while after that. Unless, you start all over with some! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

I need to find some EXTRA ENERGY to do a few "CLEAN UP" projects around here. I really don't work well when it's damp and gloomy outside. And then when it's nice and warm and sunny I'd rather be outside. That leaves inside clean up projects piling up. DUH!

Dave: If your newspaper offers a ONLINE E-Newspaper you might want to consider signing up. You could read your paper on one of your passes from the bathroom early in the morning. All you need is a VERY COMFORTABLE DESK CHAIR and a BIG SCREEN.
We connected the LapTop to a big Monitor Screen and it works out great for reading the newspaper and other things like Facebook, Cruise Addicts, paying bills online, etc.
Might be something to think about.

Okay you Wrabbits, I have nothing much to bore you with this morning so I'm out of here.
HAVE A GREAT DAY.

LEE: HOPE THE TRIP TO WINDSOR IS A GOOD ONE! (coffee wise that is) Ha Ha.

I'm off to the kitchen to see what Mr Artie is doing. He's not biking today and will be UNDER FOOT ALL DAY! Lord help us both!
DAVE if you let Chicken loose around your neighborhood this is what you'll be listening to. You might want to RE-THINK that idea! Ha Ha.

Good morning. Later today will be getting the gel shot in my knee. I have decided that dinner will be ordered from the local pizza place as they have some Italian meals.

Yesterday when we got home some plants I had ordered had arrived so after opening them I watered and a couple did not take much water, will move them outside in a bit.

All have a great day.

Are you talking a padded toilet seat Kathie? I bet Dave would like that option. Especially if it were heated for those cold winter mornings. That screaming you can hear across the river. That's me because I couldn't figure out how to stop your chicken song!
looking at a full moon would drive you crazy
For the moron, that wouldn't be a drive. It would be as short putt Karen! Happy birthday from us to Barb. We hope that you all have a nice time.

Lee: Silly man….I was talking a out a DESK CHAIR NIT A COMODE SEAT! We don’t want Dave falling a sleep if he were to read in the bathroom! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile::emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
It started to rain really hard here just now and for about 5 mins I think there was hail on out there on the roof. Scary sound!
I’m out of here. Have a good Wednesday!

K2; Your chicken song was hilarious. Kathi even came in from another room to find out what the squawking was all about.

Great line Lee about how many chickens would cross the road.

Hope that Barb's birthday went off to her liking, KC.

Our local newspaper has had an on-line version for years. But I just can't get into reading a newspaper on the computer.

It's still quite a few days till Monday, when the total solar eclipse takes place. But as of the moment the weather forecast says there's only a 40% chance of it being visible around here. Most likely it'll be cloudy around here. Nuts! But we'll still be able to see how the day goes dark during it and feel the temperature drop about 10 degrees.

Today it's the last checkup following my cataract surgeries. If all goes well, things will all be healed up, and I'll receive an up to date prescription for new glasses.

I just feel so blessed to have such fantastic vision now.

Fingers crossed for an excellent report from the eye doc today Dave! Our long range for Eclipse Day is partly sunny with occasional rain? Huh?
12:05 a.m. Kathie. That just barely counted as Wednesday morning. We had a heck of a downpour last evening around 8:00 after a day of rain and drizzle. It must have kept raining off and on throughout the night because everything is soaked here this morning.
We got a new light for over the kitchen island. I’ll be able to take the old one down on my own but will have to see if one of The OGC’s is around tomorrow to give me a hand hanging the new one.
Today’s plan…groceries.
Have a great day!

Dave you might want to give the ONLINE NEWSPAPER a TRY! Call them and ask if they have a trial period to see if you like it for free. Can't hurt to ask. What time did the newspaper make it to the house yesterday and today?
Lee: Good luck with that new light fixture. Always good to have some help holding those awkward things when putting them up.
It's dreary here right now. The buds on the Maple trees are really popping. The shells make a slight mess on the sidewalk and street. A sure sign Spring is all but here.
Hope the rest of you Wrabbits are doing good.

PT this morning AGAIN! I have nothing else for you right now. Later gang. Enjoy the day.

I hope you had fun at PT K2. I always enjoyed them once I got there.
I always needed help with our ceiling lightL Lee, It took Fay and I both to get it right. A electrician I'm not. Michael is much better than I am.
Dave, If my Father had that chicken singing in the AM we would be having chicken that evening. Hope you got a good report at the eye doctor.
Hope the shot in the knee helps Nancy.
Never bored with you post K2, keep them coming.
Kc, Donnie must have been staring at the full moon. I wonder what else he will be sellinc, If he gets reelected it may be toothpicks made from the General Grant tree.

just got back from the DR>had a shot to strengthen my bones. My Dr. was concerned in case of a fall, my calcium levell is good.
K2, I thought I mentioned you in the message what my Father would have done to that rooster.
I'm going to check my chart to see what the person that gave me the shot said about me, probably won't understand any of it.
Have a good evening

Good evening. It has been a quiet day. We are expecting rain and it has been very windy at times today.

My knee has been hurting so I checked and found it can take 4 to 6 weeks before the gel is fully working.

All have a good night.

Yes Kathie, dreary pretty much covers it. Lu-Ann and I got the old light down and I got the mount for the new light up. Dave’s popping over tomorrow to give me a hand to support the weight, make the connections and secure it over the island.
Agreed Mike. Never a dull post from our Kathie and I enjoy and look forward to them. Is your chart available to you online? We can access our blood work online but that’s about it.
Anybody else thinking roasted chicken?
My phone has been blowing up all day with weather warnings from FL and TN. Hopefully everyone is doing OK.
G’nite folks.

My goodness, at the moment we're getting a mix of rain and SNOW.

Happy to hear that you and Lu-Ann got the old light down, Lee. I was, for some reason, thinking the new light is part of a ceiling fan, but now I'm not sure. How's about posting a picture of that light when you get it up.

The last time we needed a ceiling fan with lights I was totally confused with all the different ones you can choose from. Way too many choices.

Yea K2, like you've never sat on the commode late at night reading and started to doze off. :) The last time we renewed our newspaper home delivery, they threw in the on-line version for free. Now I wonder if at that time they knew they'd be stopping home delivery.

Yes Mike, my eye exam went just fine yesterday. Everything healed up just fine following the cataract surgeries. Now I wait a week for the new glasses to come in to match my eyes' current condition.

When I first started wearing glasses I went to this place where you got the eye exam and the glasses made the same day. It was great, except for price. I'm hoping that your shot to strengthen your bones does the trick. We do tend to get a bit brittle with age.

34F with, yep, drizzle. This April weather is getting old fast.
Sure Dave. I can take a pic later today and post it. Of course now we’re looking at a new light for the dining room as well. To be honest I never really liked either of the old brushed nickel lights. That is just great news about your “new” eyes.
OK, show of hands. Has anyone else gotten up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and dozed off?
I had to pick up a prescription yesterday. Being a senior all my meds are $4.10. I handed the young lady at the cash a five dollar bill. She asked if I had 10 cents. The first response that popped in to my ever wandering mind was “Karla, I have no sense and friends that will attest to that”. She looked at me with a smile and then started to laugh. She said she’d never had a customer say that and it made her day. I felt good because I put a smile on her face.
Well now, that’s all from my early morning check in. All of you have a great Thursday.

Good Thursday Morning Wrabbits!
Here's a picture of the Gordie Howe Bridge that's almost connected. Amazing how they accomplished getting this bridge constructed. It will connect Detroit, Michigan to Windsor, Ont. Canada and it's about 1.5 hours from our house. Can't wait to drive over it. We saw it from the freeway when we drove home from Chicago this past August (2023)

May be an image of boat, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Queensboro Bridge
