Bill/Rita: What are you two up to lately?
I checked your weather and it’s not the best with all the wind and rain.
Good thing yo7 don’t live in Portland, Maine….they’re getting BLASTED with wind, rain, sleet, snow. The morning weather channel showed the mess.
Here in my neighborhood the Sun is doing a good job of trying to stay out for now and it’s dry. 37F. It won’t last.

You Florida Wrabbits look like you got some rain. At least you won’t have to water all your plants!
Lee: I must say I’ve NEVER fallen asleep on the comode! But that’s not saying it won’t happen one day/night!
I just hope I don’t get hurt If I fall over!

Hope the new light fixture install goes smoothly. Can’t wait to see the picture. Finnynhow we change our minds on things like that.

Lee, I had to read the “Karla” statement anfew times before it made sense to me! ( Did you just get the play on words) Ha ha.

Dave: Glad your final eye check up went so well. Now to wait for the glasses.
Speaking of new glasses I FINALLY went and ordered my new prescription glasses.
1 for driving (distance) that remain in the car. I used my old frames for them.

1 for reading and distance in the house. (Trying out bi-focals for the first time) If I’m knitting and watching TV I want to be a le to read the small print on the screen.

And then I got a pair just for “reading”. That was the splurge set to have in my purse for reading when in restaurants and in church music, etc.
I went to Costco and got what I thought was a good deal compared to some of the prices I have paid in the past.
Let’s hope they work out.
I need to find a decent pair of Sunglasses. I keep buying cheap Dollar Store or Kroger’s sunglasses because I tend to be careless and they get scratched easily.
Karen: What’s on your list of things to do today?

I’m going to START to attempt to fill my “new Address book”! I’ve had this new book for years…..yes YEARS! The old one is full of little pieces of papers, cards with peoples new addresses after they have moved, etc. It’s a mess. Still much, much better than my PASSWORD booklet. That’s a nightmare. Ha ha.

You all enjoy your day and hopefully the weather will finally get warmer for us Northerners!

Nice picture of The Gordie Howe Bridge, which has been funded entirely by CANADA (You're welcome) and is primarily for truck traffic!!! It has been fun watching it go up. The new bridge is about 30 minutes from us, the old bridge about 35 as is the tunnel. If the moron somehow gets into office I suspect the traffic will switch to one way OUT of The United States.
The eye guy hates me Kathie because I usually just replace lenses in older frames. You need a seat belt in your commode. Kinda like the one Dave had on his stool at his gone but not forgotten Moose.
Time to hit the torture equipment (bike or treadmill) before we get to work on the light.

Quick good afternoon! Finally finished with painting the guest room & have the bed & bookcase back in it. Still have a lot more to clear off & put back in and YES Kathie, I will be sorting & tossing some things too! :emoticon 0100 smile: This will most likely be the last time I paint, it kicked my butt this time. "If" I need any more rooms painted I will just hire someone younger to do it. Off to heat up my coffee I didn't finish this morning & chill out for a little bit

Congrats on finishing the painting Kc, our daughter finished painting her bed room. She painted it to match the color her new bed spread.
We are just getting more rain Dave, I swear I thought I saw the ark float by yesterday. I let Fay pick out t he fans Dave. I would pick the first one I saw. Now we are getting a mixture of sun and dreary.
Lee, they better make that an 8 lane bridge and no IDIOTS allowed. I'm going to look at my chart later but it won't be anything new for just a shot. I like it when I can say something to make the clerks smile, a good one Lee. I never dozed off on the john, honest, but I have on my computer chair.
when do you sleep Nancy???? I hope your knee feel. better before 4 weeks.

And there you have it. The new kitchen light from two directions. I used the compass on my phone to make sure the light was at the same angle as the counter.
Karen, I think a glass of wine may have been more appropriate after a job well done.
I went out in our yard Mike and couldn’t believe how wet it still is.
Have a good afternoon.

EXCELLENT choice of light fixture. It looks as close to our Dining Room fixture as possible!
Our's is a 5 light bulb fixture! :emoticon 0115 inlove: I must say when we put our fixture up we had to take it all down and ADD EXTENTION POSTS to get it down to the level we wanted. A pain in the butt job. And you really do need 2 people to help get it done. LOVE YOUR KITCHEN! :clap002:

Karen: Good job on getting that LAST PAINT JOB done. Now perhaps you should get in that TUB and add some Epsom Salts and soak your weary muscles! I think something STRONGER than the Coffee is in order! Ha Ha.

Mike: There are 6 lanes on the new Gordie Howe bridge . 3 going to Canada and 3 coming back into the USA. Also, a dedicated bike and pedestrian lane. Yes, you'll be able to WALK across this bridge when it's completed.

Sun went away and it's overcast.....BUT DRY! Art was able to go on his bike ride with his bike friends this morning. They had 2 Birthday's to celebrate when they came back to the park. Just like little kids, they had brownies.

Check out these two cruise ships side by side.
BILL and RITA were on the
ICON of the SEAS. It would take you at least 2 weeks to walk around the entire ship to see it all. WOW.

Great looking lights in your kitchen, Lee. Those will definitely light up the area. Those pictures also told me that you and your bride favor the color and shades of white in your home.

K2; That picture of the bridge was educational. It's so interesting seeing how they make those giant bridges. Nothing like that around here. And the pictures of those 2 monster ships.......I'm beginning to think that these cruise lines are now making ships way, way too big.

It was nice to hear KC that as you moved things around to do your painting, you were also cataloging in your mind, much of that "stuff" should be thrown out.

Mike; Painting a bedroom to match the bedspread is a bit extreme to me. With all your rain, hoping that you are not getting a wet basement.

Grocery shopping today is the plan. "Plan" is the key word.

The last time we went I used one of their electric sit-down carts. (My legs keep getting weaker every year, but I adjust.) About halfway through our shopping, it dawned on me that my view of things, and things on shelves was that of a 5 or 6 year old. When you stand up behind a cart, as an adult, our view is totally different.

Good morning. No drizzle at this early hour. Thats because we are seeing the odd snowflake!
Thank you for the kind comments about the light. We liked it even more once it was up.
I’ve heard of purchasing bedding to match the colours in a room Mike but not usually the other way around like your daughter did it. If the unthinkable happens we may build a wall. Of course it would be built of Tim Horton’s cups and hockey sticks.

Those are incredible images of Icon and Wonder side by side Kathie. Over 14,600 people (maximum - I had to look it up) combined on those two giants. I’m sure that’s way more people than live on some islands in The Caribbean. Agreed. They are getting WAY too big.
A lot of white Dave which we didn’t get to choose but it all worked out. Along with any of the fixtures and other finishes. When our place in Ayr sold we were kind of stuck with a home that we could get. All because the world suddenly ground to a halt because of Covid. This house was close to completion because it was going to be a model. The builder finished it as best they could with what they either had or could get and it was a “take it or leave it” kind of thing.
Interesting perspective, pun intended, on what grocery stores place at a lower eye level for kids as opposed to higher shelves.
Have a great Friday!

Good morning. Well Shirley is well on the way to Galveston. hoping she has a great cruise.

Yesterday I started a LEGO I got at Walmart, 3 kits for $15, have one done, another more than half way done and third have to decided which I will do. Which because they are full size bricks I can do even though my fingers and hands are swollen and hurting.

Those 2 ships are too big. We have been on MSC ships that hold 5000 full and with the way they built we never really did feel crowded, but not sure we would feel that way on RCI.

All have a great day.

It's the DETROIT TIGERS OPENING DAY! Too bad they LOST last nights game in the middle of the 9th inning. It was a 1 to 0 then. And just like that it went POOF and the other guys won. The Tigers had won all their games up until then. Bummer.

It's BREEZY and CHILLY and the SUN is doing it's best to come out in-between the puffy huge clouds. All I can say is those Tiger Fans that have been down at the stadium at Tail-Gate parties better be dressed warm and like to drink more than Beer! Brrrr.

I have nothing more for you good Wrabbits right now. Enjoy your day and
LET'S GO TIGERS!

A very nice job on the lights Lee. I can see where you needed help holding them up, it looked like a 3 person job to me. I like the lay out of your kitchen, who planned that out?
I pretty much quit doing jobs around the house and yard a year ago on the yard and years ago in the house. Michael can do a lot of it and what he can't do we hire it done. Our late son-in-law was a contractor and did a lot for us. I will probably miss my tomato plants and gourd plants this year.
Dave, Lee, my daughter saw the bedspread and since she needed a new one she liked it. She has been working since she was 14, not counting the baby sitting jobs before that. Now that she has retired she is doing whatever pleases her. I am so glad that Fay and I did so much in our younger years. -Dave, so far our basement has been dry.
Detroit Tigers,,,,, Al Kaline, Does that name ring a bell K2. We had some pretty good arguments when I was a kid growing up, Joe DiMaggio???? Ralph Kiner, Stan the Man and my favorite, the best hitter of all time Ted Williams. I kept up with the American League and Ralph Kiner because he playe for the Pirates which was about 50 miles from where I lived. Funny, I don't keep up with baseball any more. I would love to sail on t he Wonder of the Seas.
No rain today and for the next few days. Our average high is supposed to be in the low 70s, not going to be there.
Our friends are coming over tonight, they haven't been here for a while, missed them.

While you speak of temps in the 70’s Mike, we drove through a brief snow shower on our way home from our morning trip to The Navy Yard. Like you and Fay I’m glad Lu-Ann and I travelled to the places that we did while we could. That’s quite a span for your daughter that you covered in one sentence. Fourteen to retirement!
Better to drop a game early in the season Kathie. If a team goes too deep into the schedule without an “L” the pressure gets crazy to keep winning.
We had planned to go to a winery right on the shore of Lake Erie Monday for the eclipse. As I watch media reports about expected crowds and traffic on our two lane roads the more I want to stay close to home. I don’t do crowds and traffic like I used to.

Lately watching a Baseball game after the fast paced BASKETBALL games is like watching PAINT DRY! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
Mike… I don’t recognize 90% of the current Tiger players. I wish them all a good season.
I hope you can get at least 2 or 3 tomato plants dug in Mike. Maybe a big pot close to the back door!

Lee: If the weather is what they keep posting for the Eclipse you’re better off staying home of just going to Navy Park.
I tested the special Eclipse glasses by looking directly into our bright light fixture and could ‘barely’ see anything. Looked outside into the sky and saw nothing. So I guess they work!

Tigers are ahead by 1 run in the top of the 9th. But they were ahead last night just like this and LOST. So it’s not over until the FAT LADY SINGS! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Tigers WIN! :clap002: :clap002:

I like your idea for some tomato deck boxes for Mike Kathie. Lots of Windsor and area people were at The Tigers home opener.
You had asked about the kitchen design Mike. It was the builders.
G’nite all.

Is tonight going to be a good night for you? It could be a REALLY great one if you have a Powerball ticket. In a billion different ways.

Everyone is talking about Monday's total solar eclipse in this area. Yesterday we got a phone call from our trash pick-up company, that we didn't expect. Our pick-up day is Monday. They were informing us to make sure we set out the trash cans on Sunday night, because Monday morning's pick up will be made several hours earlier due to the expected traffic in this area because of the solar eclipse.

Speaking of which, ALL of you Bunnies will see some solar eclipse no matter where you live. It may not be a total eclipse, but it will be some. (Even though partial, still wear those solar eclipse glasses.)

By seeing pictures of your new house Lee, I don't think you got "stuck" with anything. A mighty fine looking place. We too had snow in the air till past noon yesterday. Not enough to accumulate though.

Yes K2, it's best if your team gets their losses out of the way at the beginning of the season.

Good to hear that your basement stayed dry, Mike. A LOT of people wish they could say that.

Plans for today? At the moment, the only one I have right now is going back to bed. :)

There are more and more businesses adjusting their hours and schedules for Monday’s event around here too Dave. The spokesperson for the local emergency services group said last night that the two main roads along the “wine route” are going to be jammed with 30 - 50 THOUSAND visitors. “Allow extra time to get places” he said. Do ya think? The roads are both two lanes and by way of comparison it usually takes about 45 minutes tops to go from our place, along the lake, to Leamington. Most of that area will be in total eclipse. The wineries are all planning “viewing parties”.
I’m not sure what we’re up to today.
But I do hope that all of you have a great day!

I don't think Fay or I will go anywhee Monday, at least I know I won't. It is supposed to be pretty nice Monday everning so I my go out back. Fay and I both have the prescribed glasses that Michael got for us.
We have frost warning again but is supposed to be warmer after today.
I thouht about putting tomato plants in a large pot but they are a type of cherry tomatoes and the plants can get up to 6 feet long, don;t feel like fighting t hat jungle any more, Who knows;, when the time coms I may change my mind. I do have some ten gallon bucketts..
Have a good day.
