Karen good to hear from you. PLEASE DON'T do the PIN HOLE thing for viewing. Your eyes are more important than looking at the Eclipse. Glad you got the Guest Room done.
I put in Lee & Lu-Ann's numbers in my cell phone.

Karen I'll measure how high our Cherry Tomato plants grew the last few years and post it. It was up to the rim of the awning from the ground. Amazing.

PT was great as usual.
I was on the deck and just came in to get some SHORTS on. It's HOT out there in the SUNSHINE. Loving it.
Time to get the AWNING put up and chairs and table out there. :clap002: :clap002:

Okay, be safe watching the Eclipse and we'll hear about it big time on TV all night. Can't wait until it's over. The word Eclipse and Trump are getting on my nerves! Ha ha.

Kathie, you don't look at the eclipse thru the pin hole, you turn your back to the sun & it shines thru the pin hole onto another piece of paper. It's not working very good so I think we are just getting cloudy here right now instead of it being the eclipse.

Those cloudless skies clouded over this afternoon, so aside from it getting darker for a bit this afternoon, the only view that we had of the eclipse was watching CBS' coverage from places where the eclipse was 100%.
Some great photos from several different spots in the path.

Good evening. Well I got a Cortisone shot in each foot. Since they can't put numbing agent in first he used the freeze spray while injecting and once that wore off both feet hurt a bunch so I went to bed for awhile. Got up for a quick dinner and will be back in bed soon. Could take Tylenol so did and will take 2 more later.

Got home in time to have watched the eclipse but with my feet that was not happening.

Today Max is 16. He called this afternoon and told Bruce he was home from school because he was so tired from the weekend at Universal but of course he had a great time, and that Jennifer got blisters.

Received an email from maintenance for Quest and he said he is taking care of the problems I mentioned.

All have a good night.

Karen: Thanks for the good explanation on that PIN-HOLE viewing. Different for sure.
We had no clouds and the solar glasses worked just fine. IT WAS THE NEATEST thing to experience. Erie to say the least when it got darker and COLDER. I had to get a blanket to put on myself. We had one Woodpecker bird that kept pecking away for about 10 mins. Must have spooked it.

All I can say is I'm glad all the hype will be over by at least tomorrow. Too bad the ORANGE MAN couldn't disappear that fast.

Last Men's Basketball championship game tonight.

About the eclipse…”Ho hum”. That was the general consensus from the group we watched it with. The anticipated crowds in this region simply never happened. What did make an impression on me was how quickly the temperature dropped.
Have a good night friends.

Welcome home Bill and Rita,, sorry about your battery but at least you got it taken care of
Kc, would you have some kind of fungal infection on your tomatoes? That would be the first thing I would think of but I am no expert. I still haven't decided if I am going to plant any tomatoes. Glad you are finished painting. What is your next project? ooh yesk tye online drivers safet;y course.
We had a short but perfect total eclipse and it was way above average temps when it started. It didn't take long for the air to cool off after it got dark.

I’m always surprised, bordering on concerned, when Dave hasn’t brightened our morning by this time. Hope all is well my friend.
Getting jobs done around the house are so satisfying once they’re done Karen.
Lu-Ann and I have the opposite of green thumbs Mike. About the only plants that thrive for us are artificial ones.
Did your team win last night Kathie?
Good morning to the rest of the Gand and a good day to you all.

Mother Nature was showing off yesterday....... AND IT WAS AWESOME!

In spite of what the weather people were forecasting, it was sunny at 3:13 PM, around 70 degrees, and the total eclipse was quite a show. It got so dark around here that the solar lights on our fence kicked on. And yes, we could also feel the temperature drop.

Just sat in our lawn chairs and enjoyed every moment of it. A first for both of us.

Yup, I slept in.

Good morning. Well my left foot hardly hurts and the right still does but not too bad.

Talked with Max last night for his 16th birthday. He stayed home from school because he was so tired from the weekend at Universal. Jennifer had bought them the fast pass tickets so for most of the rides they did not have much of a wait but he said for one in Harry Potter land even with that you could wait at least one hour. And they did so much walking that Jennifer got blisters on the bottom of her feet.

Just had a call and have the appt to get the stitches out from my hand surgery, which is this Thursday, I go in April 19 to get them out. Tomorrow I will get a call with what time on Thursday for the surgery.

All have a great day.

Good Afternoon Wrabbits! Partly Sunny here today. Nothing like yesterday SUNSHINE. But it says it 71F degrees outside. This morning it was a tad chilly when I went out on the deck.

I have nothing for you good folks so far. (consider that a blessing) Ha Ha.

I have been cleaning out my OLD ADDRESS BOOK that has 4 rubber bands holding it together, if that tells you just how old it is and how many little pieces of papers are tucked in each section. I came across a piece of paper and will share it with you before throwing it away! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

THE WRONG HOUSE... FOR THE RIGHT PRICE... IS STILL THE WRONG HOUSE!

You might have to read this a few times to fully get it! Ha Ha
In other words, don't buy something just because the price is lower. It'll still be wrong if you really didn't like it to begin with!

Later gang.

Some days I still find it hard to accept that I don't see a post from our Pat. The same thing happened when we lost Marcia. OK, thank you for listening.
We spoke with the nice lady from Sonomad Travel Insurance. That cost us $887.50 for a year. But we like to have it even for day trips. That covers us from June 1, 2024 through May 31 of 2025. The kicker is that it's an additional $800 for the time we're away in FL over 30 days. It's only money and you can't take it with you.
Glad to see Dave got a few extra winks this fine morning.
"You get what you pay for". Another take on your phrase Kathie.
We watched "80 For Brady" last night Bill. Kind of a cute movie with a few little known stars. There was a Jane Fonda, Lilly Tomlin, Rita Moreno, Sally Field and a bunch of The Patriots. We didn't realize that it's a semi true story revolving around Super Bowl LI. The greatest comeback in Super Bowl History.
Really sunny here today. Everyone we met at The Navy Yard this morning was in good spirits.
Wherever you are, enjoy your day!

Not much going on here/ Pattie and Fay went to Costco today, They brought home some dark chocolate/coconut cookies for me. All is right with the world
Fay was worn out when the y got home. She isn't used to walking that much in the big box stores.

Lee: I totally agree with you about missing Pat’s ( a/k/a: BB) posts and her cooking ideas and constant food shopping. I still can’t DELETE her last post to me from the hospital. Same with Marcia and her great stories About her Aunt.

I went to the Secretary of States office to ask about the Enhanced Drivers License. Turns out it costs $48 bucks and needs to be replaced every 4 yrs when you renew your license. This would get you across the border without
a need for a Passport. A Passport costs more, but is good for 10 years. I don’t have to worry about my choice for 2 more years. That’s when our passports need to get renewed.

I did go to see Mr Manny this afternoon. I stopped and bought some chew treats. He was most appreciative. Ha ha.

Tonight we had the kids drop in for a visit. Eric came to the door and said he wanted to show us something on his truck.
Okay…so we go outside and there is Ashley and her 2024 Bronco Outer Back vehicle! What a cool surprise. (especially since I was just over at their house and the vehicle was in the garage! Ha ha)
You know you‘re OLDER than DIRT when your Grandchild brings over their new car to show you! Wishing her many SAFE years of travel with it.

We went to a church members opening of their 3rd Mexican Restaurant. Yes, a Serbian that owns Mexican restaurants. Too funny. It was a PRIVATE SOFT OPENING for Friends, family and church friends. 50% off everything.
It was really good food, drinks and service. Saw a lot of folks from church supporting them. Always a good thing!
Haircut in the morning! Thank goodness!
You all have a good day.

Good Wednesday morning Bunnies! ALREADY???

On this morning, Fuzzbutt goes to the Vets' for a routine shot.

And after Kathi comes home she'll get her sheets together. (Changing our bed.)

Yesterday I spent some time getting all the batteries charged up for yard care. Such as the hedge clippers, weed-whacker, and suck-em-up/blower for leaves. I even use the suck-em-up part of it to vacuum the floor of the garage. No worries about that thing getting hurt if it sucks up a small stone. I was surprised how little charging the 4 batteries needed after just sitting over the winter.

Lots of luck updating that address book, K2. When I have to do it I get sad when I need to remove people from it who have passed. Yes, those 70 degree temperatures were wonderful yesterday. We could just leave the back door wide open so the puppies could look out or go out whenever their little hearts desired.

Like you Lee, I still half-believe I'll still see a post from BB every now and then. I would like to see that movie, "80 For Brady". But since I'm a cheap bastard, I'll wait until we can see it for free on one of the gazillion channels we get on our TV package.

Dark chocolate sound yummy, Mike.

We're still marveling about how amazing and wonderful a total solar eclipse can be.

Good morning.
Dare I say that if I bumped in to Ashley on the street there’s no mistaking that she is Jill’s daughter. What a great picture of her and Art Kathie. Oh, nice Bronco too.
Dark chocolate and coconut. What’s not to like about that combination Mike.
I may have mentioned the same thing about the batteries losing very little over the winter and charging so quickly too Dave. Ms. Fonda has some darned fine makeup people on her team!
We were at about 99.5% of “totality”. I imagine Kathie was similar. Mike and Dave, were you in the total eclipse area?
Don’t know what’s in store for today. Rain is supposed to start tonight and run right through Friday so the first spring cleaning the outside of the windows can wait another couple of days.
Have a good one folks.

Morning all!

I too come on here sometimes half expecting to see a post from Pat, we've lost some mighty fine people over the years.

Not much going on around here, still plugging along with the online drivers course. I'm at 15/20 chapters done, the last 5 will take a while as they are 30-50 mins. long.

Church this morning & then tonight it's Pam & my turn to cook dinner for the youth group. One more month & then they break for the summer. Pam has already said she isn't going to get stuck doing it next year, she signed up to do 3 months this year & then the other ladies of the group "assumed" she would just keep doing it ll year. She's such a sweetheart I know she will probably end up volunteering again next year too.

Have a good day all!

Hi Karen.
I was passing by and saw you had popped in. So, what’s for dinner for the youth group?

Good quick Morning Wrabbits!
Happy Good Morning GIF by DINOSALLY

Karen: How fun cooking for the Youth Group. Can I guess that Mac & Cheese and Chicken Fingers might be part of the dinner? They might like Grilled cheese and Tomato soup too! Just NO BEETS or Broccoli! Ha Ha.
Which insurance company offers the reduced fee online classes?

Lee: Yup, Ashley is a “Mini Jill” for sure. That huge Bronco is a real good looking vehicle. Sits up high enough that I had to use the handle and step to get into the drivers seat. Nothing better than the smell of a NEW CAR!
I wanted to wash our windows outside too Lee, but withnthe rain coming it will have to wait until at least Sunday/Monday! I’ll need to let the dirt dry around the house. Not a fan of walking around in mud!
Mike: Don’t make me come down and deliver a tomato plant formyou to tend to during the Summer. You can get one of the daughters to pick you up a PATIO TOMATO PLANT in a pot or train a 100’s Tomato plant close to the house. Some where you can put a tall stake to hold it up. Ask for some help with some of these suggestions.

Okay, off to the East Side of town for a haircut.
Tomorrow I get to drive RIGHT BACK to the same area for a dental cleaning. Poor planning on my part not being able to coordinate getting these done on the same day. Bummer.

ENJOY TODAY WHILE IT’s STILL DRY AND SUNNY.

K2, I'm still thinking about the tomato plants. If I do I will get one sun gold cherry, one grape and one super sweet cherry.. I have never tried t he s un gold before. I don't know if Fay will plant anything or not. Come July or August she will be wanting one of t hose over the couner tomato sandwitches. I may even plant some spinner gourd seeds. We had a Turkish fellow ownig a Greek restuarant near here.
Karen, my daughter used to cook dinners for the homeless. It got to be too much for her, now she will help with the cooking but no planning or buying. She does fix the coffee for her chuch group.
Lee, Dave, Fay used the blower in the garage yesterda y. We have a lot of battery operated lawn toosl which we don't use any more and a lot lof electric tools. I have a 16 inch electric chain saw which I am afraid to use now and evey one has battery operated tools in our family. I think my sone buys tools just to look at not use. I remember the days when I would walk thru the Sears tool department and look at all of the tools. Now I walk thru the big hardware stores and dont know what half of the tools are.
Glad your feet aren't hurting as much Nancy
It is supposed to rain most of t he day today and for the next two days then turn nice and warm.
