Slept in.......after I was up at 3.

Great wedding picture, KC. Two sweet and innocent young kids.

Good for so many of you for voting early and getting it over with. I'm definitely not going to miss the political adds on the TV or in the mailbox.

OK Lee, we'll let you slide with turkey chili on Thanksgiving Day. Work on it next year.

K2; No coffee grinder in this house. Except the blender we have, that I once used when I accidentally bought a bag of coffee beans. Noisy, but it worked.

I'm like you Mike, I hate this colder weather that is coming a bit more every year.

For some reason.......I'm craving a turkey sandwich.

We're at a HEAT WAVE right now..... 41F ! Each year I say I just don't know how I will make it through to Spring! Somehow, I've managed. HATE WINTER in
PURE MICHIGAN!

Karen, love that picture of your Wedding Picture! Oh how we knew it all and life was so carefree back then! Always remember that day and those times. I still do.
Good to read that you'll be going to visit Amanda at the end of the week. Beating the Holiday Rush is a smart move. Does JANE travel with you too? Be save and watch your purse!

DAVE: I'm afraid that even after the ELECTION is over NO MATTER WHO WINS it will be the biggest mess of the century. Ever since Trump went from a TV Host to a so-called Politician the USA has been turned upside down. The COURTS, the House of Reps, the Senate, etc. It's all been a mess like we've never seen before. All because this HATEFUL PERSON has such control over so many groups and people. Even the Devil wouldn't want him at this point.

Lee: I give you a lot of credit getting up in this cold and taking Ava for walks. It's cold enough in the neighborhood, yet alone down by the water at the park. :clap002::smiley24:

Mike: I have a Basil Herb plant that I actually started months ago from a single leaf left in water to root. Once it got roots I put it into the pot of dirt that the Patio Tomato plant is in and it has grown about 5" and has some nice-looking Basil leaves on it. Today I'm going to dig it up and transplant it to a ceramic pot I have in the garage and bring it inside. It has a few leaves at the bottom that have turned brown. I want to see if I can grow it through the Winter by the back bay window. I'm not a big house plant person. I have about 3 pots and that's 3 too many for me to keep alive. Art does better by hanging some plants from the basement rafters by one of the basement windows. Then he transplants them back around May to the yard garden. He has more patience than I do with doing that.

Art is off biking in this cold damp weather and I'm about to have a 2nd cup of coffee and PAY SOME BILLS. The kitchen floor is also in need of washing!
ALWAYS SOMETHING!

Have a good day folks. Stay warm or cool.......depending on where you live! :smilie5:

That is a good way to start new plants K2. I think my Mother could put an old 2x4 in a bucket of water and it would sprout leaves. I have started a few plants that way. Love the picture of the kittens.
Lee, you are much hardier than I am. I don't think I could take the cold. Does Ava like to walk these cold mornings. I know you put a sweater on her, how about a peacoat?
Do you stay up for a while Dave or do you go back to bed? If y ou stay up do you take a nap??????
I hope it warms up a bit for you Karen, I don't think 69 is warm at all. It may be okay for K2 and Lee.
Have a good day.

BELLEVIEW 83 degrees WARM

Don’t let me hear you (Karen)
complaining about that kind of temp!
3:52 pm -Tues and it’s 50 F here in Michigan. Brrrr.
Sun was coming in and out, but patchy now!

Mike: Thanks for the reminder about the repotting that Herb.
Off of here to do it now.

Good to see almost everyone present and accounted for. We’ll cut Karen a hall pass because she’s getting ready for her trip.
Peacoats were big when I was in high school Mike. I never had one but all the “cool kids” did. As far as my ability with plants. Well, I can kill plastic flowers.
51F here Kathie. We decided to have another walk by The River and while the sun was nice the breeze was cool. I’m another person who has no idea how this election will turn out. What amazes me is that is even a question.
Unfortunately Dave, with just the two of us a full on turkey dinner, as much as we both would enjoy it, is just too much. So Lu-Ann’s turkey chilli fills the gap. Any direct connection between the BBQ and not sleeping? I know that food I used to be able to enjoy just doesn’t seem to enjoy my company anymore.
Best get my lemon pepper chicken and root veg going.
Have a good evening everyone.

FR DAVE: Since you are usually UP and on here before the first CRACK of DAWN I'll post this now. You might know a lot about this procedure.
Off to see a Dr on Wednesday for one of those VEIN TESTINGS to see how my circulation is in my legs.
If you hear SCREAMS don't be frightened, it's just me getting my leg executed with a charge!

It's in the lower 40's this morning. Some parts of northern Ohio even had a trace of snow yesterday. I'm not ready for this.

We're going grocery shopping this morning. Not only cold but a 50/50 chance of showers. Peachy! While there we're gonna pick up a few boxes of those individual bags of chips, pretzels, and Fritos for the Trick-Or-Treaters. Kids seem to get a kick out of them.

I agree with you K2 that the Buffoon has messed up SO MUCH in our society. And has made bullying, name calling, and just plain lack of common courtesy almost normal. There's a few procedures for testing your blood circulation, none of which will make you scream. Most likely it'll be the one that puts cuffs on both legs and arms. Much like the cuffs they put on your arm for testing your blood-pressure.

Mike; Sounds like your Mother had quite the green thumb. It made me laugh about your comment of her having the ability to put a 2 by 4 in water and have it sprout.

The only pea-coat I've ever owned Lee, is the one I was issued while I was in the Navy. Still got it. Here's an idea for next Thanksgiving, you and your bride have a turkey TV dinner. Actually they are not all that bad.

Hi there KC! All packed?

Last week I was in shorts. This morning with the windchill it feels like 34F. Brrr.
To answer your question the other day Mike, usually Ava doesn’t mind cool morning walks. But this morning she went to the back door instead of the door to the garage. Clearly telling me a quick trip out back was fine by her. She waited until I had my coat, reflective vest and shoes on though.
Good luck today Kathie! Hopefully all is well with the circulation and they send you home with a smile.
We have to pick up a few boxes of treats for Halloween too Dave. We’d get those little candy bars but I’m embarrassed to give a kid just one. I suspect it will be chips from us too. I still don’t understand how roughly one half of America condones insults and bullying coming from anyone. Let alone an individual who wants to lead, again, your country.
Safe and fun travels Karen. I hope you get a chance to stop by and say “hi” before you go!
Not sure what’s on the agenda here for today. But we’ll make the best of it.
You all do the same, OK! Have a good GREAT Wednesday.

Quick good morning Wrabbits.
Dave: I think the leg/vein etc test is with some needle probe and currents or charges going through it! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:
Lee I‘m glad Ava gave you a break this morning from going for a long walk. But she might want to go later this afternoon. You’re a SAINT for taking such good care of her!
I’ll be back later. Gotta jump in the shower now.

Karen: A few more sleeps and you’ll be up up and away. You sure are one fantastic Auntie! :emoticon 0115 inlove:

I just accidently erased most of my post. The post was italic and I didin't want itlalic so when I tried to change it I deleted the post. I could have hit the undo button but didn't think of it.
Lee, I was thinking about the same thing with the slippery shower floor, great minds think alike. You have a smart dog letting you know a long walk in the cold would be a bit much. I am with her. We also give out the little candy bars. We usually give out about 120 or more. I honestly think trump believes his lies. He wants his lies to be true so in his mind they are.
Dave. I tried to join the naval reserves back in the 50s. When the guy giving me the physical asked me to take off my glasses and read the chart on the wall, I knew I was in trouble. I couldn't even see the chart let alone read it. I have or have had my Father's peacoat from the merchant marines. My Father was in both world wars serving in the merchant marines.
I think I had that test Kathie, it is no big deal. I have had so many circulation tests I can't keep track of them.
It sounds like you are having fantastic temps Karen, I would love to have 83. We have frost and freeze temps for tonight.

This was me getting that NERVE TEST! Ha ha.

200.gif

Actually the 10 acupuncture needles, 5 on each leg with a electro charge touching it wasn’t too horrible. The 2nd test that the Dr had some type of probe in his hand gave me a real good PUNCH. Both tests were quick.
I got to the office early since it was a 42 mins drive from home. Went into the office and barely got a chance to sit down and was called into the room. I was impressed they took me 40 mins early.
On the way home I stopped at the referring Dr.s office and made a appt to go over the test results next Tuesday. It’s real close to our house and easier to walk in and make appt than to CALL and have to wait 15-20 mins on HOLD! They have a Central Appointment number for all 10 offices! Crazy.

Jill & Mark are getting their entire house carpeted on Thursday! ( By the time you read this it will be Thursday. I told them that they should bring
Mr Manny over to the house so he wouldn’t have to deal with all that noise and dust.
Karen: Do you have the gifts and yourself ready to FLY? Is Jane going with you? Not sure if she can get off from work.
Mike I got my Basil Herb plant transplanted and brought it inside the house. Hope it continues to grow.
Also, covered my 2 Yellow mums with light weight towels to keep them from getting killed by MORNING FROST!

Please come pick me up! It’s going to be crazy here!

Good Thursday morning Bunnies!

Our plan this morning is to go to the pharmacy we went to a month or so ago to finish getting the Covid booster shot and the flu shot. Back then we did get the Covid booster shot, but the pharmacist talked us into waiting another month for this year's flu shot. So it would last longer this winter and into spring.

I can see that Ava isn't looking forward to winter either, Lee.

Speaking of trick or treat candy; Fess up people, how many of you still have some of those little candies in your freezer from last year?

K2; That test you described with electrical current going into your leg sounded more like a nerve test rather than a blood flow test. I had one like that when I had a pinched nerve in my leg. Hope the results are good. Mister Manny is sooo CUTE.

I know that feeling Mike when we accidentally delete something we type. We just want to SCREAM! There should be a "Go Back" button on our keyboards.

A chilly start to this Thursday. A certain pup still hasn’t gotten out of bed.
Jim sent a note last evening that he’d like do some drywalling TODAY! I like to plan a little further ahead. Oh well. I’ll be there at 8:00. We usually only go until about 12:30 - 1:00 which is good because we have Lu-Ann’s Parkinson’s dance class later this afternoon.
Yes Mike, we’ve all hit the wrong button our posts go “poof” into cyberspace. We’ve had different numbers of kids every year. If we plan for a lot we get a few. If we plan for a few the first ones get something then the lights go out.
I hope all of your test results are good Kathie! I like carpet in a home. Have a fun day with Mister Manny.
We’re trying to plan our shots so that we get the best coverage too Dave. We used to always get them the last week of October but as I recall they got pushed back one year when pharmacies here were late getting them. Nope, no leftover Halloween candy in our freezer.
Have a great flight Karen.
I best see if I can get Ava interested in her early walk or she might just miss out on her walks today.
Have a great Thursday folks.

Hi Wrabbits! 34 F when I got up early this morning. Now it's 55F . Suppose to get warmer the next few days. BRING IT ON!

I get these e-mail notifications from various Dr's offices that they "took notes during the appointment and they want to share them with you."

OKAY!
So I got through the trouble of logging into my Portal Acct for Orthopedic appt on Wednesday and there are NO NOTES. Why send me a notice and have me go through all that when there's nothing in it. I printed off that it showed I was there! Big deal. I'll be showing this to the NICE Dr that referred me to have this test done when I see him on next Tuesday. Always Something!

DAVE.... it was a NERVE TEST! I bet after I confer with the referring Dr next Tuesday he'll send me to a Neurologist or order a Blood Flow Test. I'll let you know.

NERVE TEST WAS FINE! (at least that's what the doctor said when he was finished)

Lee: How did the Drywall project go this morning?? I think I'd have too politely ask JIM for a little more notice next time! ;)

No call for me to watch Mr Manny today. Bummer. It would have been a fun day! I guess they'll just work around the carpet installers. We're talking Living Rm, Dining Room, Stairs going upstairs, hallway and 3 bedrooms and an office! And yes, they move the furniture! Jill had to empty her china cabinet, and they all had to clean up the closet floors of anything that was on them. Ashley would have had the biggest clean up! Better them than me.

Out of here. I need to get a fresh cup of JAVA! JOIN ME!

Packed & ready to go, only taking a small carry on since it's just 2 nights. Flight leaves at 8:45 an so Barb is picking me up at 5, going to be a long day!

Kathie, Jane has been retired for years, but she won't be going with me as she doesn't have anyone to watch her dog. No presents this year, they are all getting gift cards so they don't take up much room and NO wrapping for me.

Keep the hutch tidy while I'm gone & I'll see you all Monday!

Safe travels Karen!
We put up some soundproofing insulation in the washroom and storage area that we framed Kathie. Then we got a few pieces of drywall done. While that was going on Home Depot delivered the rest of the soundproofing and drywall. Let’s just say the forklift driver wasn’t the sharpest nail in the toolbox.
As usual we knocked off about 12:30. When we were on our way out Jim asked about tomorrow. I took the opportunity to ask him to let us know when he was thinking about doing stuff next week. And subsequent weeks. We also have to work around Gail’s procedure - whenever that will be scheduled for. They both have got a lot on their minds.
Be good everyone.

Have a nice flight Kc.
I'm glad the blood test was good K2.
I still have a few almond joy left over and fay was sure to buy some more to make sure I don't run out.
I cant seem to hear and see too well tonight. I may have to wash my glasses. didn't do that this AM/

Wishing you a safe and fun trip, KC. And sure hope none of your flights are delayed or canceled.

I'm getting the feeling that Jim has become the foreman of your construction crew, Lee. If he continues these last minute work decisions, the crew just might go on strike. :) I can see you old farts standing outside of a house holding protest signs, and that would be funny.

Happy to hear that your results of the nerve test were good, K2. But sorry that "Granny" didn't get to spoil Manny. I sure wouldn't want your daughter's carpet bill.

Mike; It's amazing how spotted up our glasses can get in just one day.

Got the word from my mechanic yesterday about what the problem is on my SUV. A strut on the front driver's side broke. (Probably rusted out since it sits outside.) And the break also took out the tire. Looks like it'll cost me around $625 for the fix, sometime next week.

I had mentioned that our Harris/Walz sign is on the inside of our glass storm door. Front door. Yesterday, one of our next door neighbors did the same thing.......but their's says Trump. Now that's funny.

Oh yea....To show you what a non-mechanic I am, after getting off the phone with the mechanic I had to get on the computer to find out what a "strut" is and what it does.

Happy Its Friday GIF by Gus And Sunny
Not that it matters to us Wrabbits or anyone else that is retired!

This little Squirrel reminds me of what's been going on around our yards lately. It's either the Squirrel or the SKUNK that is digging very large holes in the grass around here. I saw our neighbors grass out front by the street area was ripped apart really bad. I showed Art and he thinks it's the "Neighborhood SKUNK". Art said that Squirrels don't dig that far down. Skunkie might have been looking for grubs to eat! Anyways, Art (the neighbors name too) was seen throwing Moth Balls here and there to distract the rodents. :clap002:

Lee: Good for you getting a "HINT" to Jim about a little NOTICE next time he wants work done. Hoping that Gail will be okay after all her procedures are done. And I hope she gets whatever it is done SOON!
How's that WINE holding up?? Have you and Lu-Ann gone through a bottle yet?
Red Wine GIF

DAVE: I love the idea of the ..."O.G.C." guys going on STRIKE! They need to join the Local Union and get back-up support! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Mike: Year-Old Almond Joy candy just sounds like it would be hard as a rock by now. Careful you don't break a tooth buddy!
I'm still deciding if I'm going to hand out candy or not. The way our house is situated the kids usually go over to the side of the street with more houses they can hit first. I'll check the future weather and see if I'd be freezing out on the driveway. I usually sit at the end by the sidewalk so the little kids don't have to walk all the way up to the porch. It's a long walk for the little ones!

You all behave......I need another cup of coffee. Not sure what's on the list of things to do. You can never tell when ART is home and on an off biking day!
