Good early afternoon.
Justin stopping by to say “hi”. I’ll come back later for a longer visit.
Enjoy the day!

Who is “Justin”? Should have been ”Just”. Argh!!
Another fun filled day pretending we were contractors. We got some soundproofing insulation installed, some drywall and the most important part, some laughter. We won’t be back at it until next Thursday after the electrician finishes up.
Dance was good Mike. Sadly there was only Lu-Ann and I and our instructor. Part of the problem could be that class changed from Monday to Thursday. We had already scheduled some things for Thursdays after the first schedule was released. Almond Joy! “Sometimes you feel like a nut. Almond Joy’s got nuts. Mounds Don’t.

We used to always take “Coffee Crisp” bars if we knew we’d see Tony on a trip to The US. They were one his of favourites growing up in Ontario.
Hmmm. A pretty good guess by myself on Monday Dave when I wondered if the sound from your car could be suspension related. That sounds like a pretty fair price for a strut and tire. By Canadian standards. I like that idea. “Hit the bricks” We demand shorter hours, better coffee and tastier snacks! Like Almond Joy. ;)
Too bad your Manny sitting fell through Kathie. He is one handsome pup! We have only had one bottle of our wine so far. We actually said today it’s as nice a red as we’ve ever bought. At a fraction of the cost. The other Art must be a heck of a shot if he can chase varmints away by throwing moth balls at them. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
Well, back to our regularly scheduled dinner.
See you tomorrow friends.

Good morning Bunnies as we slip into a weekend.

Thank you K2, I'm learning more from you about skunks every day. Never knew they were diggers. Not sure yet if moth balls work to make them want to move along. And don't be a Scrooge, keep some candy on hand for the trick or treaters.

I can't remember the last time I had a candy-bar, Mike. As a kid I enjoyed Hershey chocolate bars, Kit Kat bars and 3 Musketeer bars.

Lee; Enjoyed that jingle you posted. That and other jingles like McDonald's ones DO get stuck in our head forever.

Today in Cleveland they are inducting around 16 people and groups into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. I know I'm an old fart which is why I don't recognize half of them. But Dionne Warwick has been around for so long I actually had a tape of her music for the 8-track in my car, as a young lad.

Good morning!
A little warmer for our early walk at 45F. But foggy. We seem to be headed for some really nice temperatures in the coming days. Thank you for The Dionne Warwick tune Dave. I’ve always enjoyed her voice. Jimmy Buffett is also being inducted in the same “Musical Excellence” category.
You did get me looking to see who else I might recognize. I said recognize but not necessarily a person or group I listen too. There are a few in the “Performance” category.
I bet I could enjoy a coffee right about now.
Have a fantastic day everyone.

Back To School Saturday GIF
I use to LOVE Skipping Rope as a kid. Most of the kids in elementary school would bring a Rope to skip with to school for recess. Those were the days!

Lee: Cute Mounds Bar video. Do you ever wonder who PETER & PAUL are/were??? I'm a MOUNDS bar fan. I've been known to grab a bar from the rack the grocery stores or CVS teases us with that are full of gum and candy. They know you're standing in a line and the candy bars/gum are staring back at you..... TAKE ME, TAKE ME!
I'm so glad that you and Lu-Ann are enjoying your wine. The nice part is that you don't have to go shopping for wine for a while, it's darn right handy!

DAVE: Nice that your car mechanic figured out your cars problem. And these days, that does seem like a FAIR PRICE to pay for the repair.

Karen: If you're reading along, I hope you're having a good day in Maryland!

Mike: Hope you and Fay have a good weekend!

There's a Shin-Dig going on tonight at our church hall. The "Sisters" group of the church is celebrating it's 90th Anniversary. My grandmother, mother and I all were members at one time or another. I'm not a member now.
We're NOT going to the event because they lost their minds and are charging $90.00 a person for dinner and dancing. I know it matches up with the years, but YIKES talk about gouging your own people. I did give them money for a FULL PAGE AD, for the commemorative book they are putting together. So it's not like I totally ignored them!

Okay, folks have a good day and stay warm! It's COFFEE TIME HERE.

We just had a THICK FOG cover our area. Could barely see across the street!
And in the time it took me to get on here it’s already disappearing.

Here’s photo of the AD I put in for the “Sisters” church event tonight. I can just imagine the fancy long dresses at this event!

The coffee of my choice this morning is called ‘Mexicali Creme’. It’s a nice smooth blonde roast - nutty hint! A nice change!

I have seen squirrels bury nuts in th fall around here but we only get a passing by of the skunks.
K2 I broke a tooth not long ago on a piece of CANADIAN maple candy. had to have the tooth pulled not long ago. I still don't know if if was worth it. The almond joy is soft, well relativitly soft so no problem there.
Dave, strut, isn't that what majorettes do???? View: https://www.tiktok.com/@willietabillietab/video/7399472502533164334?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc
I still catch my self singing the first line of do you know.
Lee I ts going to be in t he 70s here for the next week or so, may even get up into the high 70s. I have had a sip or two of the Italian red wine growing up.
Michael and Pattie came over and we had Texas Road House Meals yesterday. Pattie wanted to treat us and we couldn't disappoint her. We had a good time chatting and kidding each other. Today we had a get together of the people we used to dance with. There were only 8 of us. Hopefully we will get together this coming spring for a friend's birthday that couldn't make it today.

Morning Bunnies!

I think I overdid my time on the treadmill & stationary bike yesterday. Not feeling so hot this morning. So this won't be long.

Time to head back to the sack.

Just wanted to check in and let you know I'm reading all your posts. And thinking about every one of you.

Good morning. No fog to start today. And like you Mike, we have a nice week of above normal temperatures ahead.
I was watching the induction ceremonies for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Miss Dionne Warwick was inducted and they did a retrospective of some of her hits. I thought this one really applied to our little cyber family.

Good QUICK Morning Wrabbits.
Going to church and taking Karen's place this morning. Ha Ha.
I'll put in a good for ALL of US.

Later guys. Choir Picture Day, so I need to get there early.

A bright, beautiful tree at The Navy Yard this morning.
How did picture day at church go Kathie?
Who had more “tats” in that video Mike? The guy or the gal? Why do young ladies think ink makes them look more appealing? It must have been a hard maple candy. Maple sugar candies are generally softer and in the shape of a maple leaf.
Hope you got a chance to recharge a tad Dave.
Fingers crossed that you’re having a great time Karen.
72F! That could be Bark-A-Doo, as Tony’s Benjamin used to call it, weather!
See you all tomorrow.

Picture time was very good.
One group picture outside in front of the church and one inside in front of the Altar.
I got there just as they were lining up. Whew!

Beautiful tree colors Lee. We drove to see the kids new "carpet" ( and of course Manny) and I just kept UOOING and Yawing at all the fantastic COLORS on the trees.
It truly is a beautiful time of the season. And the FULL SUNSHINE made it even better.

Monday might break a record and get to 80 degrees.

"A BARK-A-DOO".... wow now that brought back tons of good memories of one great guy. Tony had the same type of WIT that the rest of you guys on here have. Quick and funny. Sure do miss that guy!

As much as Monday will be a really nice day, it will also remind me that WINTER is NEXT.
We're suppose to take down the deck AWNING! :(:emoticon 0101 sadsmile: I really wish it could stay up a few more weeks, but if we don't take advantage of the nice temps and leave it up the weather would change and get cold and we'd have missed a good opportunity. Art like to wash it down of "Acid Rain" and then dry it on the driveway. We fold it and take it into the basement. It's a ritual of sorts! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

DAVE: I hope you're feeling better by the time you read this. Try not to OVER DO it Buddy.

Karen: I hope you're HOME and had a fantastic time in Maryland.

Mike: You would love to see all 6 of the Blue Jays that come to the feeder or to the deck railing to grab the peanuts. When I put the peanuts on the railing they barely give me a chance to get inside before the SWOOP down and grab them. Such a beautiful bird.

Have a good Monday gang. And I hope Karen appreciated us cleaning her HUTCH Cubbie while she was gone. Ha Ha.

I'd forgotten about that song with those 4 great singers, Lee. A real gem. Also, such a great fall picture. If you remember, post a picture of that same area next month on November 20th. Side by side.

I too do not see how tattoos are appealing or attractive on women OR men. And in my never to be humble opinion they are nothing more than a current fad promoted by social popularity. In 30 years they'll be nothing more than an identifier of an old person. Plus, they are such a waste of money, money better spent on something you really need.

Looking forward to seeing a picture from your "choir picture day", K2.

A Texas Roadhouse Meal.......Sounds like a steak to me, Mike.

I forget KC, are you home now, or not yet?

Feeling better than I was yesterday at this time. With stage 3 COPD if I work my lungs too hard during exercising they feel bruised and I become short of breath for a couple of days. So it's important to hit the sweet-spot when exercising of not going too aggressive nor going too easy. But right in the middle.

51F and clear as a bell this morning.
I’m happy to hear that you’re feeling a tad better this morning Dave. It is a fine line between too much exercise and enough to benefit from it. I will try to remember to post a pic from the same spot in a month. That’s a good idea. You may have to remind me. Ya, don’t even get me started on tattoos. People on social assistance with a bunch of kids living in subsidized housing with tats on every visible spot on their bodies. ARGHHHH!!!
They (again, whoever “they” are) said the fall colours are not as vibrant this year Kathie. Has to do with the unseasonable temperatures we have had. But where there is colour it is beautiful. So you made it for the pictures. Now you need to share a couple. Better to take the awning down in good weather!
I had a look at the Texas Roadhouse menu Mike. I wish I could eat like I used to! They had some dandy looking meals.
Welcome home Karen. If you are home. Safe travels if you’re on your way.

I have a strip of grass about 6 feet wide to cut this morning. I got the front and back cut yesterday but the young folks next door had a bouncy castle set up out front for the kids and had guests over. No, why people don’t do stuff like that in their back yards baffles me. Anyway, I didn’t want to run the mower on that side of the driveway so I’ll finish it up this morning. Today is yard waste day and I’d like to get the clippings out.
Have a super day my friends.

Its 74 out and the sun is shining for a beautiful day.
Lee, my neighbor pulled something of a trick like that and I let him know where I stood. We no longer speack to each other and he doesn't.
borrow my tools any more. Needless to say, I'm brokent hearted. What a beautiful tree . Is it one of your famous Maples? We can buy different hybrid Maples but they don't last long in our yard.
Glad you are feeling better Dave. Yes it was a steak and a very good one.
K2, we used to get a few blue jays here when I was feeding them or when I grew sunflowers. Now we don't even get the starlings or sparrows.
Join me in a cup of coffee.

73F here under sunny skies Mike! That’s one of the maples down at our Navy Yard Park. Peeking through on the left hand side is The Detroit River. For the life of me Mike I don’t understand people holding their “events” in their front yards.
Can I swap your offer of a coffee for a wee glass of red wine?
Did you take advantage of the day to get that awning tended to Kathie?
Hmmm. What’s for dinner? Guess as soon as I make it we’ll know. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

As Arnold would say, I'm BACK!! Tom & Grant dropped me off at midnight last night, my flight from Baltimore was delayed, first the plane was late arriving & then after we were all on board there was some problem with the "log". I couldn't understand exactly what he said but I'm guessing it was something about the former flight crew not signing off or something like that. Trip was nice but I'm very glad to be back home, having a bit of vertigo issues from the flight, taking a decongestant seems to help. Will catch up more with you tomorrow, Jane & I are going to go do early voting here.

Two weeks from today will be Election Day. It's about time, I'm so tired of seeing those nasty TV political commercials.

Glad you're home all safe and sound, KC. And I bet you're glad to be back sleeping in your own bed.

Lee; I'm guessing you weren't invited over to your neighbor's to test out their bouncy-castle. :)

Yes Mike, we have at least one more dry, warm, and sunny day for some to make use of their motorcycles wearing short sleeved shirts.

Awning down, K2?

Got a new book from Amazon yesterday. "Once An Eagle". Quite a well thought of book. Had been #1 on the New York times bestseller list. But imagine the look on my face when I opened the package it came in, and found out that it was 1,291 pages long.

This one is going to take a while.
