Karen, I need the hedges along the fence line cut down to 3 feet. Thetrees in our neighbors back yard are leaning against the fence and the branc;hes are cutting off t he sunlight for my garden, that should be trimmed also. I have a 3 foot chain saw that you could use. Let me know when you can get to it, Thanks in advance. I forgot to check for the moon tonight, maybe later.
That job of of taking care of the ashes meant you got to get out of classes. We were always glad to do any little job that got us out of class Lee. I don't know how much teachers can let students do little jobs now.
Dave. I'm guessing not too many coal furnaces are around. Most people that had them including my parents switced to gas. coal is hard to find now in many places and too expensive and not nearly as much work.
K2, my Father's furnace did not have the aspested , just metal.
Dave, I'''m afraid the stress coming from the white house has barely started. I''m amazed at all of the things all of the things that he is trying to do but I don't know why so much as he has said all along what he would do.
My friend from high school called me today and we had a nice long chat. I hope he had a cell phone. I'll call him in a few weeks on our land line, I use the land line because of the cap tel. I can see what he is saying with that.

Mike, I suggest trying to lure Karen to your place to trim things with some of Fay’s lemon cake…just a thought.

How kind of you Lee to be giving up your time with your urologist to someone in more need, since you are doing well now. So many specialists names, tell me what's different between a urologist and an oncologist. I barely understand the difference between a vascular doctor and a cardiologist.

Happy to hear that Hansel only twisted or bruised himself instead of being really sick, KC. In answer to your question; The doctor I ticked off the other day got second guessed when the specialist at the Cleveland hospital stated that he would have also used stents. (That new implanted vein had plugged up in less than a year.)

K2; I'm guessing that Melania will live most of the time in the next 4 years wherever the Buffoon isn't. :)

Mike you so right about most students. They'll do almost anything to get out of class. Heck, they'd be willing to spend half the week washing teacher's cars all day. Sounds like a cool phone you've got.

No dust or pollen in the air this morning. It’s pouring. Ava is not happy about that. It’s the kind of morning that an early coffee seems like a good idea. I’ll be back in a moment. Ah, a nice hot coffee. That was a good idea.
Karen likes lemon cake. And trims plants. Fay makes good lemon cake. You need plants trimmed Mike. Seems like a good fit to me.

I’ll try to get these two right for you Dave. A Urologist is a specialist who deals with the urinary tract and its associated bits and pieces. Like the prostate. Which I will use as a lead in to The Oncologist who specializes in treating various types of cancers. In my case, again, the prostate.
I am fortunate that, during a routine test (PSA) and exam, the urologist requested a biopsy. Long story short I was referred to the oncologist to treat early cancer in the prostate. We discussed various treatments and decided on the least invasive which was a month of external radiation.
So guys, please get those PSA tests done and if you need a urologist ask to be referred to one with small fingers. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
Kathie, did you get your Cranberry Bliss bar at Starbucks? I like the gingerbread loaf. It seems everyone else does as well because they’re always out of it!
How’s little Hansel doing today Karen?

Now, this is neat. Our niece, Tiffany, was supposed to come down in the summer for a visit. Life got in the way for all of us so we invited her to come to Florida for a week. She texted last evening and asked if January 13 would be OK for a week! Flights are less expensive then. OF COURSE that’s OK. We’re looking forward to her visit.
I’m thinking on this wet morning it might be a good day to go out for breakfast.
You fine folks have a great Thursday!

Love all the chatter on here. Good work Wrabbits!

I wrote that sentence above YESTERDAY! Forgot to press the post reply button.

Right now I’m at the
“Big Hosp” for the Parathyroid scan test.
Got here at 7:00 am in the rain.
Got into the room and he nice tech gave me an injection with radiation in the vial. Then on the cray table for 1/2 hr all wrapped up and strapped down. Then she comes back and the machine does something else for 10 mins.
Now I get to enjoy a breakfast and Starbucks coffee in the cafeteria for 1 hour.
Then I go into the machine for a long 1 hour scan.
 I didn’t think this would be so involved.
This Hosp is HUGE! Haven’t been here in awhile. Lots of walking.
I will be buying some Shortbread cookies before I leave. The pastry chef makes the BEST ever goodies.

It has stopped raining.
I’ll be back later. Enjoy your day.

Lee: Do you have anything open for the week before you leave Florida for 2 people! Ha ha.

That was Lu-Ann’s Apple Strudel French Toast. Breakfast, lunch and likely dinner all rolled into one. It may be Saturday before she feels like eating again! The restaurant is called The Twisted Apron. It's in Windsor not too far from the tunnel. The lady beside us was in Detroit for business and decided to pop over to Canada for breakfast. She was from Coral Gables, FL. She had never been to Michigan or Canada. Until the last couple of days that is. We had a nice chat with her.
The rain had mostly stopped when we got home so we “waddled” around The Navy Yard with Ava.
Sounds like you have one busy day at the hospital Kathie. Hopefully all of the results are excellent! Sounds funny that you, who bakes such good things, would shop for shortbread at the hospital. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
I really need to get my butt on the treadmill. If it will support the extra weight from breakfast.

Good afternoon!

Kathie, hopefully by now you are home & settled in with a nice cup of tea & a shortbread cookie. Not sure I could make it thru an hour long scan.

Mike, sorry, anything involving a chain saw call for a larger bribe than lemon cake. Throw in some fried chicken & potato salad and you have a deal. :)

Dave, well if a doctor is so insecure in his medical abilities that he freaks out over a 2nd opinion I'm not sure I'd want to continue going to him. Most doctors want you to feel comfortable with your treatment & if that includes getting a 2nd opinion then so be it

Lee, how cool that Tiffany is going to spend a week with you in Florida. It's always a pleasure to have our grown up nieces/nephews still wanting to spend some time with us. I haven't heard anything on how Hansel is doing today, so I will take that as good news. We are going to go tomorrow & pick up a set of steps for Jane's bed so he can get up & down without jumping. His former owner's daughter is giving them to Jane.

Stopped by Miss Reba's on my way to Barb's this morning but I forgot to call her last night & tell her what time I was coming so she wasn't up when I got there. I went ahead on to Barbs & did what I need to there & then stopped by again on my way home. She had 1 tiny little tree/bush by her garage door she wanted me to trim up & about 4 buckets of rocks in her garage that we had taken out of her flower bed a couple years ago & replaced with mulch. She asked me if I could use them or give them away just to get them out of her way. I took them & put them in between my house & the neighbors where I already had stones. She tried to pay me $20 for 5 mins worth of work & was mad because I wouldn't take it. She did the same thing last time, tried to pay me $40 and finally insisted on giving me $20, this time I held my ground & told her when I come back in the spring & work in her garden then she can pay me.
I actually have the rest of the day free, the choir director is taking the rest of the month off & they were not able to get a replacement so we have no practice for the next 3 weeks. I should put a load of laundry in the washer but I think I will go find something for lunch first. Enjoy all!

Now that's one HUGE Breakfast. We need to meet up there before the SNOW hits us. Monday, Wednesday or Fridays! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Karen: Good for you sticking to your guns on not getting paid. Plenty of time for that when you spend more time at her house. And you did get the stones.

Karen, I did buy a couple of those Shortbread triangle cookies. Soooo good. Good thing that hospital is 45 mins from our house or I'd be in big trouble going there too often.

GOOD REPORT on the tests today!
No scintigraphic evidence of parathyroid adenoma or hyperplasia!
Should be interesting to see what the nice Doctor has to say about me feeling so lousy after this test!

Got the results in the "MY Beamount CHART FOLDER" at 3:00 pm. Amazing how fast they read the results. I printed off a copy to make sure I have it when I go and see the Endourologist next week or the week after!

Trash day tomorrow. I did Artie a favor just now and wheelbarrowed out 8 leaf bags and the one trash bag. It's actually REALLY NICE outside at 7:07 pm. NO WIND makes a big difference.

that's all folks circle GIF
SLEEP WELL ALL.
Here's what this huge hospital complex looks like.

Good that everything was clear Kathie! That hospital looks more like a city!

Good morning everyone.
Not much new or newsworthy this morning.
On our early walk I thought I caught a whiff of fried chicken and potato salad drifting across the border from Ohio Mike.
So, that being the case Karen, are you driving or flying to get that hedge trim job done. ;) On another note, did Hansel get his bedside stairs?
I hope everyone has a good day. I’ll check on you all later.

Snoozed in again.

I'll tell you one thing Lee, If I ate all that apple strudel French toast that was on Lu-Ann's plate I not only wouldn't eat again till Saturday but either bloated or sick till Sunday. I'd eat maybe a third of it and take the rest home. But heating up waffles is pretty much a waste of time.

I love it when I have PSA numbers so low the doctor passes on putting his fat finger up my flutter-valve.

K2; are you trying to confuse me more than I normally am with all these medical terms? "Parathyroid scan test....No scintigraphic evidence of parathyroid adenoma or hyperplasia!....I go and see the Endourologist" Now tell us in laymen's terms what the heck that means. As far as I know, you are checking to see if you're growing feathers. :) I know what you mean about large hospital complexes, they are like small cities.

No news about Hansel is good news, KC. I'm SURE you'd be called if there was a problem. I like that idea of small steps for him to get into into the bed. We have steps for the pooches to get on one of the couches. (Weaner-Dogs are known for back problems.)

Mike; Time to up your bribes to get KC to work for you.

Good AFTERNOON!
Dreary here, but DRY. Could use some sunshine.

Dave: You made me laugh when you said “Flutter-Valve” :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
That hospital is like a City. It has underground tunnels that you can walk from one area to another. They have color coded lines so you just follow the color that will take you to the area you want to be in.
The Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich is even bigger. University of Ann Arbor Medical Center. I was in there when I was 12 yrs old for 2 weeks. They were trying to find out how to treat my eczema. It’s almost laughable that way back then you could stay in a hospital that long for a skin issue!
All I know about that test is that my Thyroid gland is GOOD!
I have my Mellon smashing to do and 2 quick visits to doctors before the end of the year and I’M DONE for 2024! Only to start all over again next year!
Going to help Art put the XMas lights around the Sargent’s Crab tree today.
I need to wash the kitchen floor, but not in the mood for that so I just will put a hold on that project.
I really want to make a batch of my Bourbon Almond Biscotti's later. I’m leaning my ICE Machine to a choir friend who is having KNEE SURGERY and want to take her some when I deliver the machine tomorrow.
Okay, I need to get a jacket on and go help my “man” get those lights up.
Have a good day everyone.

Back from the eye doctor & my eyes are dilated again so this will be short, they re-did all the testing that I had done 10 days ago & confirmed that I need to have the film cleared from the lens implants. Dec. 10th at 7:15 he will do the YAG laser procedure for both eyes. He said he could do one at a time if I wanted but because it's such a short procedure they can do both at the same time as long as I have a driver, which I had planned on anyway. Prayers please that this goes as smoothly as they say it "normally" does. It will be nice to actually be able to SEE clearly again!

Lee, I think it is a fantastic fit, now all YOU have to do is talk Fay and kc into it. I knew what a urologist is but no idea what an oncologist is. Thanks for the explanaton. Lu-Ann's french toast looks absolutly delicious. That would keep me filled up all day. I 2nd Dave's comment on you giving up your appointment.
Dave, not too sure of a what vascular is, I'll look it up after I finish this. I have heard it maniy times. Melania can go live in Siberia and take donnie boy with her.
Mike, sorry, anything involving a chain saw call for a larger bribe than lemon cake. Throw in some fried chicken & potato salad and you have a deal . I'll talk to Fay

that is one big hospital K2, I wonder how long it took for the statt to navigate it

November 15
I just noticed that I haven't posted the above. That seems to be around lately. I wrote it yesterday evening.
Did you get the lights up K2????
.
Dave, your flutter valve,I love it when I have PSA numbers so low the doctor passes on putting his fat finger up my flutter-valve. type this is your search working where the sun dont shine- I tried for a long time to get it in here but couldn't so I'm trying it this way, I hope it works.\

Bowser and Blue are a hoot Mike. Lu-Ann and I saw them in concert in Brantford, Ontario and at a Canadian Snowbird event in Florida.
You know we’ll be saying a prayer for things to go well Karen. You’ll be singing along with Johnny Nash’s “I Can See Clearly Now” in no time.
It was overcast and cool here all day too Kathie. Now the hospitals don’t even keep you for a week after heart surgery! How times have, indeed, changed.
Truth be known Dave it actually took two of us to eat that HUGE plate of food. But we did have some bacon with it!
Well now, you all have a good evening and we’ll see you tomorrow.

Thought of you yesterday, K2. Well actually I thought of Mister Manny and something you could give him for Christmas. It's a doggy bed in the shape of Lamb Chop. She spotted it on Chewy.com. https://www.chewy.com/s?query=lamb chop dog bed&nav-submit-button=

KC; You sure got in quick for the fix of eye lenses. I'm quite sure it'll all go smoothly.

WAY too many fancy names for different kinds of doctors, Mike. I like terms like "heart doctor", "foot doctor", and "eye doctor".

Lee; It is surprising how quickly after surgeries and other procedures they boot you out of the hospitals, compared to just 20 years ago. But after seeing quite a few hospital bills, I'd say that a 2 day stay today it's probably the same as a weeks stay twenty years ago.

Grocery shopping this morning. Kathi with the push cart and me using one of their electric carts.
