A pleasant on our our morning walk. The weather guessers predicted a wind chill of between 32F and 34F this morning. It was a very pleasant 45F and no wind!
I like that concept for the medical community Dave. Have fun at the grocery store and no riding Kathi in the basket!
We watched the Tom Hanks movie “A Man Called Otto” last evening. We both enjoyed it.
I’m not sure what’s on tap here for today. With Canada Post on strike it’s not like we have to check our mailbox…
Have a super day everyone.

I agree with you Dave and some of the terms that is used is beyound me, tell me; I remember a doctor telling me I could go home the next day after a surgery and I said no way.
Lee, I used to think 40 degrees was nice, not anymore. I like it in the upper 70s and 80s but I don't move around much any more. No wind is always great.
I'm going to get a cup of coffee, care to join me anyone.

Late check in here.

Dropped off the Ice Cube machine to my church friend. Her house is all decked out and ready for Christmas. She had to get it done since her knee surgery is the day before Thanksgiving!

Watching the Mich State Univ football game. They’re losing to Illinois. :(

Dave: That LambChop bed for Manny is a NO GO. He has has a couple and doesn’t really use them. He’s a big lap dog.

I went to Krogers yesterday and barely filled the SMALL shopping cart and my bill was $ 98 bucks. Just crazy. I can’t imagine what Kathy’s son with the 8-9 kids, I’ve lost track of the correct count, spends to feed that gang.

We got 1/2 the Xmas lights up. Still have the Sargents Crab tree to do. Plenty of time.

KAREN: I had the YAG procedure done on my eyes and you really don’t have anything to worry about. It’s so quick. “It over in the blink of an eye!”

No Way What GIF by VeeFriends

Sorry I just had to say that before one of the guys on here did!

Mike: I’m taking you up on getting that coffee. Art just made a fresh pot and the smell has my attention.

Lee: I’m going to look up that movie and see if I can get it on one of these hundreds of stations I’m paying for!

Take care folks.

Checking in for the night, I hope I can sleep with all this coffee drinking going on. :emoticon 0100 smile:

Mike, I'll have my people call your people to finalize the contract for the shrub trimming, I do require a room service breakfast each morning before I start work, just like on the cruise ships.

Kathie, I may pick your brain a little more about the procedure since you've had it done. The dr. was very nonchalant about the whole thing & really didn't explain much of anything.

Dave, what seasonal goodies found there way into the cart(s) this week?

Lee, Canada Post is on strike??? That sure doesn't fit the image I had of friendly Canada. I remember the previews of that movie, I'll have to see if it's on Amazon Prime since I have a 30 day free trial.

Only 3 people showed up for work day today at church. The other lady who usually helps had a stent put in her heart last week so we knew she wouldn't be able to work, but she showed up around 7:30 with her usual fresh baked goodies for us!

The guys got the new mower blade on Jane's mower, it was funny to watch, they got the old blade super easy & were so proud of themselves. Then they couldn't get the new one to tighten up, they did finally figure it out and after watching them struggle I was glad I hadn't taken it apart.

Hansel is finally starting to feel a little better, when I took Jane's mower back over this morning he was barking begging for treats again, so that was a good sign!

Nice cool sunny day here today so I got the outside lights put up, won't turn them on till after Thanksgiving but that's one project out of the way. Now I think I will call it a night, catch up with you all after church tomorrow!

Of course I'll join you Mike for some coffee. Either I'm terribly late for the coffee klatch or early for today's. I too like air temperatures warmer than I used to.

K2; Oh the wonderful smell of freshly brewed coffee. One of life's delights. Like the smell of opening a new jar of peanut butter.

Lee; I'm keeping that movie in mind, "A Man Called Otto". If Tom Hanks is in it, it's pretty much guaranteed to be a good movie.

Happy to hear that Hansel is feeling better. No seasonal goodies jumped into our grocery cart yesterday, KC. Have a good church day, just remember, DON'T volunteer for anything new. :)

Speaking of our trip to the grocery yesterday. It was at the smaller one, but boy-oh-boy was it busy. And it seemed like it was casual-day for seniors. I don't think I saw half a dozen people younger than us. And dress was VERY casual. I followed a fella in wearing his pajama pants. You could tell by the fabric and the design on it. There was one lady shopping in big fuzzy bedroom slippers.

I loved it. Nobody was in a rush-rush-rush.

Can I get anyone a little more coffee? Perhaps a treat?
Good morning. Another brisk start to the day.
That’s good to hear that Hansel is starting to feel more like himself Karen. I guess you’re glad that you left the blade change to the guys.
I’m afraid I don’t sympathize with The Postal Workers Union this time around. Having been with Canada Post for 35 years I can usually see valid points on both sides of the bargaining table. That’s not the case this time around.
I just don’t know Dave. People don’t seem to have any self respect when they go out. Pull on a pair of pants, put on a pair of shoes. Unless the guy with the “jammies” and lady with the slippers were you and Kathi! Then I’ll just try to get my foot out of my mouth.
I’m in no hurry to put up outdoor decorations this year Kathi. I think that because we head south January 2 they have to come down so early.
We watched another good movie last night. ”Five Flights Up” with Morgan Freeman and Diane Keaton.
We had a call yesterday from a nice lady who found Ava’s tags in The Navy Yard! We didn’t even realize they had fallen off her walking collar. She always wears her ID collar. You usually can’t get the tag clip loose with pliers! We offered to come and get them but she insisted that she could drop them off. There are still good people out there.
Well, if no one wants a little more coffee I think I’ll get myself one.
Enjoy the day my friends.

Good evening!

Lee, I'd love a coffee & treat please! How nice that someone found Ava's tags and was actually kind enough to call & let you know she had them!

Kathie, double prayer Sunday is always a good thing!

Dave, I know what you mean about dressed down shoppers, the way some of them go out in public you would swear they don't own a mirror anywhere in their house. I can't believe neither you or Kathi found any new seasonal treat yesterday, you just didn't look hard enough!:)

Well, I thought there would be no choir today since our organist/director is on vacation but apparently Rev. Lisa had other ideas! She had taped music for the congregation with the words on the screen & then she asked the choir to robe up as usual & sit in the choir loft so we could "lead" the congregation in the taped song for the offertory. That was a hoot we knew the song, but we'd never heard the tape before & got off track about half way thru, she came over & was directing us to get us back in sync with the tape. I told her later that when she retired from being a priest she could take over as choir director, she just laughed. Next Sunday they will have a substitute organist but I had already made plans for Sunday morning so I won't be in choir next week.
Went out to lunch after church with my friend Pamela, ended up at Cracker Barrel & I'm still stuffed. I had the meatloaf/chicken breast sampler platter & brought home half my meat loaf & the full chicken breast, so 2 more meals for me!
Have a feeling it's going to be an early night for me tonight, plan for tomorrow is to finally get back to the gym & check out the senior exercise class.
Have a super evening all!

And Moan-Day morning rolls around again. Sucks to be a worker-bee or a kid needing to catch a school bus.

Give me some details, Lee. Is the postal workers union getting a little too greedy in their wants in their contract negotiations? Such as....? I totally agree with you on how people go out in public dressed as they damn well please. I was shocked the first time I saw how people dress for funerals and church services these days. Shorts, sneakers, and T-shirts. Same thing they'd wear going into a bar.

Thank you KC & K2 for putting in a good word for us with the "Big Guy" yesterday. He knows all too well that this motley bunch of Bunnies needs all the help it can get.

Such an edge of your seat game for the Lions yesterday K2. :) Our Cleveland Browns did their usual duty....LOSE.

KC; Hope that you do just put that senior exercise class on your schedule. Same day and time every week.

Mike, you mentioned that you used a walker. Life is much, much better if you have one with 4 wheels. Plus a small seat.

My goodness, Mother Nature is toying with us around here today. It'll be dry and maybe get up to 60 degrees.

It especially sucks today Dave because after rain in the night we have a thick fog rolling in this morning. Yes, I do think that The Union is being a little greedy and short sighted. Letter mail and that revenue has been declining for years. Online shopping has increased parcel revenue. Amazon and most couriers deliver 6 or 7 days a week. The company is asking for that flexibility moving away from Monday to Friday operations using part time employees if needed. The union says no. As always there’s more to it but that seems to be, aside from asking for a 25% wage increase, the major sticking points.
Your music syncing, brings to mind the Milli Vanilli scandal that rocked the music world Karen. Thanks for putting in a good word for us with The Man upstairs.
Forgot to hit post at 7:10 this morning! Oh dopey me…

Well, good Monday afternoon! A brisk sunny day here & I LOVE it!
Dave, I did make it to the gym this morning & lasted all of 10 mins in the aerobics class! My schedule said it was a chair exercise class, NO it wasn't! I think I will stick with the bike & treadmill.

Lee, that seems to be the case with a lot of union/company disputes lately. Neither side is interested in compromise or doing what is best for all in the long run.

Kathie, did you & Art get the lights finished up yet or are you still celebrating that big Lions win? My keyboard is being a pain today, so I'm going to cut this short, nothing much going on here to gab about anyway.

Mike, hope all is well with you & Fay!

It doesn’t matter how long you lasted at exercise class Karen. What matters is you went and made the effort! Two thumbs up I say.
Funny enough, or sadly, on our way home from The Navy Yard there was a younger guy out on the sidewalk in an open robe, jammies and slippers walking his dog. I just don’t get it.
Games day is here today so we best get the cheese, crackers and apple blossoms (apple bits in pastry) going.
56F as I look out on to our front lawn complete with dandelions on November 18!
Be good everyone.

Hi gang!
Karen: We got the Xmas light all up and the wreath up above the garage door. Perfect day for doing this job. SUNNY and NO WIND!
I managed to get the leaves picked up in the front of the house too.
Good productive day.
It’s suppose to rain on and off the rest of the week, but temps will still be in the 50’s. Works for me. Still have Geraniums looking fantastic on the porch!

Neighbors 2 Yellow Maple trees that still are full of leaves!

Lee: Hope the “Games Day” was fun!
Later gang.

Karen, the cruise ships don't have overgrown shrubbery. That is so nice Karen of her taping the song.
Dave. I have 2 pair of pajama pants and I won't wear them outside. What I would like to know is why were you following a man in pajama pants?
That was nice of the lady to call and give you the tags Lee. There are a lot of nice considerate people in the world. Sorry, I ate the last donut. much for the nice considerate people. Is Caffeineology any thing like biology.

this is becoming a habit, I wrote the above yesterday evening and forgot to post/
Isn't that a nice feeling K2, getting a big job done.
Kc, we are doing okay, thanks for asking.
Lee Poor Bengals, Burrow in 2 games in a row passed for 300 yds and3 touchdowns, set a record and still lost.
Dave, I'm a grown up, I use a 2 wheel walker. I have a 4 wheeler but it is too heavy to get in and out of the car. I very seldom go anywhere now.
I am now going to post, then check to see if it posts

Kathie, those a beautiful geraniums. Crazy that things are still blooming this late in the season. Games day is always fun because of the 8 players there is only one person who takes it seriously. The rest of us laugh, scratch and giggle our way through no matter what we play.
Always good to see you drop by Mike. Yes, they both end with “ology”.
What will tomorrow bring? Only time will tell.
Have a great evening folks.

LEE: Tomorrow will bring RAIN HERE and on Tues & Wed.
Glad I picked up those leaves today! But MORE will be there after the rain!

Mike: We have a 4 wheel walker and a 2 wheel one too. Our friend, George, belongs to Kiwanis Club and they have a storage area in Twos old Library full of medical equipment that gets donated to them. I’ve been there and hit a really nice 4 wheel w/seat walker. Came in handy during my knee surgery. They have medical meds, lifts, ramps that they install for folks in need. A great organization. They must have had over 100 walking canes.

Have a good evening all!

Ya, I just looked and our forecast is similar to yours Kathie. I’m seein’ rain and snow in the cards for Thursday when we head to The Fillmore on Woodward. I was sure glad to have access to a “four wheeler“ with a seat loaner during my cardiac recovery.
