Wow! A busy and chatty group yesterday. That’s neat.
Good that your brace arrived Karen. I hope it provides the support and relief you are hoping for.
You and the family must be so proud of Eric Kathie. I reckon those turkey pockets would be a hit on a colder day too! Our next turkey day is Christmas.
Canadian Thanksgiving is in October. You know, to celebrate the harvest. Not to kick off the Christmas Season. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
Once I’m up Mike, usually by 6:00 (the morning 6:00) I don’t seem to have trouble staying awake throughout the day. That’s sometimes not the case with the other 6:00 (the evening one). I sometimes doze off for a tad after dinner. Which is likely why I’m up at the morning 6:00. Jungle Jim’s sounds like the kind of place you could spend a lot of time in looking around.
To answer your question Dave, Ava’s been working on me since October 9, 2020. Clearly you haven’t lost your talent for broadcasting my friend. Your words painted such a picture of the snow you encountered on your tip to the doctor! Thank you.
So, we ventured to Detroit‘s 99 year old Fillmore Theatre last evening to see comedian Mike Birbiglia. We had seen him on Netflix and enjoyed his humour. He certainly didn’t disappoint last night. Seems fewer comedians can do a 90 minute family friendly set. Mike can and did.
The theatre itself is simply a beautiful building. Not a bad seat in the place.
I’m looking for my picture of me in a tutu. Dave mentioned it and Mike asked for it. I posted this as a warning because you’ll want to get eyedrops ready!
From our first Disney 5K… Lu-Ann and I in our tutu‘s at EPCOT.

After viewing that image I would suggest a good quality eye drop to get the stinging and blurriness out!

Good Morning!

KAREN YOU HAVE A E-MAIL REPLY from me! :)

WOW...
Look who's in the TuTu! Ha Ha. All your exercise sure has paid off Mr Lee! I was going to try and dig out a Disney Run picture of you, but you saved me all the looking.

I'm off to get my cars OIL CHANGED! Gotta do what you gotta do even when it's a Leased car.

Be back later. Have a good day. 41F and overcast. But we're not supposed to get any rain.

Sitting in the dealership waiting for my car to be done.
They have brand name coffee and Panderia pastries. Nice and cozy.

Dave: Our neighbor across the street from us keeps their Xmas lights on all night and day too. Must not have a “timer” on them! We call her Mrs Hallmark because she decorates for EVERY holiday.

Here comes my car! :cheerleader:

That was from our first Disney 5K Kathie. Pre heart issue! :emoticon 0100 smile: Lu-Ann and I have run three more Disney 5K’s since then with one coming up in 2025.
I’m picturing you sitting in a big, comfy chair Kathie. Coffee and pastries on the table beside you waiting for your car. Neat! It’s almost more important to keep the service schedule up to snuff with a lease.
Well, time to hit the treadmill.
Have a fine day my friends.

Good evening, nothing much to gab about tonite as I did basically NOTHING today & I LIKED it! Tidied up the house a bit & did a load of laundry, but that was after I finally got out of bed around 8.

Kathie, nice perk having brand name coffee & Panera pastries I don't think the last place I got my oil changed even had bottled water

Lee, I think it's amazing that you & LuAnn are committed to running the Disney 5K's. It certainly has paid off healthwise for you!

Dave, that was quite a picture you painted with your snow monologue, hoping you got a good report at the doctor visit. The back brace is fairly easy to put on & adjust, now to see how well it works.

It was quite nippy here this morning when I first got up & it's getting cool already this evening. May get to turn the fireplace on for a bit this evening, but probably not. My house is pretty well insulated & unless it gets really COLD it stay comfortable most of the time.
Fixed a nice ham steak for dinner with scalloped potatoes & baked beans, pretty tasty & I have enough leftovers for Sunday lunch. Tomorrow night is another Ultrea potluck at church, thankfully I don't have to give a speech this time. I'm making spinach tortellini with alfredo sauce, ham bits & mushrooms. I'm also hosting coffee hour after the 9:15 service on Sunday so I'm making a pineapple sour cream coffee cake for that. It's easy to make & has gotten high praise the last few times I've made it.
Miss Reba called me yesterday with another project, she said she needed me to replace her "spigot" on the hose for her back patio, which means she wants me to order the same sprayer I put on her front hose. I did & it came today so in between baking I will go down & put that on for her & try to get out without her paying me again. I think now it's time for another glass of wine & finish goofing off for the day, have a great evening all!

Best part of the OIL CHANGE is that it's FREE.
I accumulate points every time I lease a car and I have more than enough to
pay for the oil change. They use just do it for free, but last year they stopped
doing that and so the "Points" come in handy. They rotate the tires and fill the
windshield fluid and whatever too. OH, and they of course wash your car! WIN WIN!

Karen: Good for you taking it easy for a change. Except now you will be doing a
bit of baking and cooking!
Always something.

We had slivered onions and slivered potatoes baked in the microwave. And poached eggs
on top w/toast with bacon. Brunch for dinner is always nice.

Only thing now is that the bacon smell will take a while to get out of the air!

I get my hair cut tomorrow at 10:15 a.m. Sure glad I didn't make the appt any earlier.

You Bunnies have a good sleep. And somebody please DRAG DOWN the Christmas Lights for the Hutch. We need to get festive around here.
200.gif

Speaking of LIGHTS..... the Downtown Christmas tree got TURNED ON tonight. Thousands of people downtown watching the ice show and singing and then the LIGHTS turned on. Also, freezing their butts off. And it's supposed to start to rain 100% right about now.

Lee/Lu-Ann: You guys are lucky you didn't go to the theatre tonight!

I have just one question for you Lee.......When dressed in your tutu and crown, do people question which public restroom you should use? :)

For what they charge for things at a dealership K2, they'd better kick in with some good coffee and pastries.

KC; It's good that your new brace is easy to put on, if it weren't you'd pass on wearing it quite often. It took me a while to figure out what Miss Reba meant when she called the spray nozzle on a garden hose a "spigot".

Not much else to yammer about. A quick trip to the grocery store this morning. Don't want to be anywhere near there next week.

A much warmer start to the morning than the past couple of days at 43F. Ava still in bed, smart dog!, so I don’t know if she wants her early morning walk or not.
I avoided that concern Dave. As I recall I just peed in the bushes if I needed to. :emoticon 0140 rofl: Thinking about the race, they have LOTS of unisex porta-potties at the start / finish area. Have fun at the grocery store!
Free oil changes was a nice benefit from the Ford Dealer Kathie. It really was in their best interest with a lease though because most people people would come back there for service and the dealer could keep an eye on “their“ car for future turn in value. I’m glad the Detroit tree lighting was Friday night too! We didn’t even know about it. We were parked in the lot that was steps from The Fillmore and Comerica Park. There was a Red Wings game just up the street Thursday night but it wasn’t crazy busy.
I agree with Dave about your brace Karen. I often (well, I guess not really often) wonder how many assorted braces or supports are ordered and because they are a challenge to put on properly get safely tucked in a closet or drawer never to see the light of day again. I’m glad you said “sprayer” for Miss Reba’s hose. I thought when she said “spigot” she was referring to the outside tap.
MORNIN’ MIKE. Just thought I’d say hi.
Amherstburg’s Santa Claus Parade is tonight. A good reason to not need to be in town after about 3:00 when the road closures start! A tick above freezing but dry at parade time. I suspect the entire staff of our local paper, The River Town Times, will be out there tonight. All three of them.
You all have a fantastic Saturday!

Lee & Dave, I thought the same thing when Miss Reba first called me & was talking about her spigot in the back yard & she couldn't turn the handle on. Luckily I waited for her to finish the story & she told me she really liked the one I put on out front for her, so I knew she wanted a new sprayer not a hose bibb.

Went to the dr. yesterday then that evening tierneys picked us up to to out to eat. After that we came home and had cofffee and cake.
You reminded me;, we have to get t he cover on our outside spigots before it gets too cold, we will have Michael do tha for us.
I watched t he last 4 minutes ot t he Ohio State Indiana ball game. Ohio won 38 15.
Hi back at you Lee. Love your tutu.

Good morning my friends.
Hopefully we’ll see a little sun today. Yesterday was damp and overcast the whole day.
Odd to start the day and not see “The Wisdom and Observations” of Dave.
Coffee and cake Mike? Two of my favourite things. Hope you got a good report from the doctor.
I suppose at Miss Rebas’ age Karen, she can call things whatever she knows them as. Didn’t you mention she’s in her 90’s?
Lu-Ann and I finished watching “Man On The Inside” on Netflix. It was eight half hour episodes, give or take a few minutes, and starred Ted Danson. Lots of other familiar faces in it as well. It was funny, heart warming, sad and thought provoking. We both really enjoyed it.
Not much else going on at this early hour.
The guys were supposed to be doing stuff at Jim and Gail’s this morning but there was an email from Jim, sent at 11:30 last night, that he may be coming down with a cold. He’ll let us know this morning and may cancel. I appreciate that because, especially heading into Christmas, nobody wants to get sick.
I do hope you all have a wonderful day. I’ll check in on you all later.

Ya got me curious Mike; What kind of cover do you use over outside water spigots? I really feel sorry for people that don't disconnect their hoses from those outdoor water spigots. That water in the hose freezes and backs up into basement where the water pipe bursts. I had a tenant do that to me once and felt they weren't responsible for the damage. Sorry, the hose was still connected after the incident occurred.

KC; I'm guessing that the sprayer you put on Miss Reba's hose was the kind with a trigger and not the kind you have to turn. Did I guess right?

"Wisdom and Observations" from me in the morning? I don't know what you are drinking, but I'll have a double. Thank goodness for you Lee that they have unisex porta-potties at the Disney run. :)

People use those plug-in gadgets to give their home a pleasant scent. Like posies and perfumes. K2, I think they aught to have one that smells like bacon.

Quieter at the grocery store yesterday than I expected. Of course, we showed up at 9AM.

Yesterday was the Thanksgiving Parade in downtown Massillon. Afterwards they turned on the city's Christmas lights.

Good morning from Nippy Belleview, there was a smattering of frost on the roof tops this morning, but the sun is shinning so it will be gone soon!
Lee, hopefully Jim is not coming down with a cold, although a Sunday off is not a bad thing either! I believe Miss Reba is 92 or 93, I remember she was close to my Dad's age when I first met her.
Dave, you would be correct on Miss Reba's sprayer, her old one had a small lever type thing you pushed forward & back to get it to spray, even I couldn't get it to budge. Her new was is a trigger spray with a dial you turn for different settings.

Mike, I remember you talking about the Tierneys, nice to hear they are still around and visiting. What kind of cake, asking for a friend?

Kathie, hope all is well with you, not like you to miss a day posting!

The turn out for our potluck last night was very small, but we still had a great time! Plenty of food, but no one brought dessert, usually I make a main dish and a dessert but last time we had so many desserts I decided to just make the main dish. My spinach tortellini dish was a big hit & I will definitely
make it again!
Need to get a few things done before I head to church, will remember all of you in my prayers. Have a super day!

Good Morning Wrabbits.
Going to church and will add you ALL to my prayers. Not sure the Man upstairs is listening lately! (Just Kidding) He has his hands full with what's been going on.

Bake Sale today, that means a LONG DAY!

Gotta run! Have a good Sunday all.

I’m smiling. Why? Since yesterday afternoon everyone has popped on to say “Hi”, let us know how everyone is doing and, well, putting a smile on my face at the very least.
What a great start to another week.

Dave. it is an outdoor spigot cover that slides over the spigot. It probably is found in most hardware stores, Fay got it at Lowes. I use an extented hose that I made so I wouldn't have to get get on my knees to hook up the garden hose, I will have to disconnect that. Our spigot is an outdoor spigot that is used in the Northern states but I like the added protection against freezing. Fairfield had their parade yesterday also and turned on the lights.
Karen, we each had a bunt shaped cake, mine was chocolate but I don't remember what the others had. Glad you had an enjoyabe time at the potluck. Your next potluck there will be lots of desserts.
How often do you manage to get an oil change K2?
I hope you got your sunshine today Lee, we had sunshine and a warm day. tomorrow is supposed to get to 60. I may start the lawn tractor and ride it around the yard, then after that I want Michael to take the battery to t he basement. I am glad we put a smile on your face.

No Mike, the sun never did materialize. Another cool, damp day. We’re supposed to get rain tomorrow. I bet that forecast will be accurate!
Jim did cancel basement work today.
G’nite everyone.

And just like that, poof, it’s gone.
Hopefully it’s not a big computer problem Dave.
We have a chance of a shower around 8:00. That becomes steady rain mid day. Bah humbug.
Oh well. This time of year I guess as long as it’s not heavy snow we should be happy.
Back later. You all have a great Monday.
