Good Afternoon.
Running late here right now. Have a Bone-Density Scan and need to get my act together.

Yesterdays Choir Bake Sale was a SUCCESS! We made $ 2412.00 on the baked goods sales and
got a Cash Donation of $500 from one members Mom and another church member gave us $100 donation.
Total taken in = $3012.00
Not bad for a afternoons work. Of course, the Pre-Sale on Nut Rolls is a real plus.

Out of here for now. I'll be back later.

I have a SORE THROAT and stuffy Nose. VICKS was my savior during the night. TEA is going down all morning and helping the throat. Always Something.

Keep that mask handy while you’re in the facility getting your bone density scan Kathie. Put a little honey in your tea too! Good job to everyone involved with the church bake sale.

Mask will be on for sure.
Downtown Detroit Xmas tree lighting. Lots of people showed up.

I hope you get your computer straightened out Dave.
Lee, rain again today and will be for the next 2 o 3 days. It is expected to get cold Thanksgiving day.
Time for dinner, I am running late, who am I kidding, I can't run.

Test was QUICK and very on time.
It started drizzling here about 3:05 pm and then about 4:30pm it decided to do a light rain.

My head cold feels a "Tad" better, but the nose is still running. Maybe not as bad as this morning. At least my throat doesn't hurt anymore.

Going to go watch some of the Mich State Univ Basketball game coming from Hawaii.
The heating pad is nice on the back of my neck.

I will go to BED EARLY.

Take care all you Wrabbits.

Computer is working with less problems than yesterday. Every year I have less and less faith in these electronic toys.

Heavy snow sucks Lee, unless you're a kid who wants to make snowballs.

In just your bake sale you made over $3,000, K2. You Serbians made out like bandits. What a festive look of downtown Detroit. Glad that your head cold is better.

"Time for dinner, I am running late, who am I kidding, I can't run." That may be true Mike, but you do rapidly-shuffle very nicely. :)

Still munching on the leftovers from your church's pot luck dinner, KC?

Only getting into the lower 40's here today. Kathi is off to physical therapy this morning for a bum shoulder. The steroid didn't work the last time she got a shot. Must not have hit the right spot.

It’s supposed to be a bit of a chilly day here.
For whatever reasonI didn’t have a very good sleep last night. I woke up at 1:11 and thought it was a lot later. Still awake at 3:24. ARGHHH! Dozed off and on a bit and finally gave up and got up at 6:10. Funny how digital clocks allow us to be so accurate remembering times.
Border officials on both sides are already warning of delays with US Thanksgiving traffic heading to and from Detroit and Black Friday. Throw in a Lion’s game and it’s gonna be a mess!
Not much else on my sleepy and some what groggy mind this morning.
Whether you’re on the run or shuffling smartly, do it safely and have a fantastic Tuesday.

Good morning! I to woke up around 3:30 this morning & had trouble falling back asleep. Took a small dose of sleep aid & managed to snooze till almost 8, was still lounging in bed when my sister called me. I did manage to toddle out of bed after that but am still in my jammies!

Dave, glad the computer is being less difficult this morning, it's amazing but troubling how much we depend on all the electronic gizmos in our houses. I'm still reaching for the microwave that isn't there!

Kathie, of all the routine testing we go thru I think the bone density & is about the easiest & we only have to do it every 2 years. Nice haul on the bake sale, our ECW group is selling "cobbler bags" for the holidays for $7 each, it's in a cute little cloth bag & all you add is fruit & 1 egg. They have not been able to keep up with making the bags

Mike, I'll gladly take some of your extra rain if you'd like to send it my way. We haven't had any major amount of rain here since Hurricane Milton. They keep saying we are going to get some with these "cold fronts" but so far it always manages to miss us.

Lee, hope you can have a calm relaxing day to help make up for the lack of sleep. I am really beginning to understand why my Dad always woke up so early.

Nothing much on the agenda here today, once it warms up & dries off a bit I'll go down & spray Debra's patio one last time. Her husband & her will be coming down sometime shortly after Thanksgiving & I want the patio to look nice when they get here.
Sold part of my ceramic Christmas village on facebook yesterday, I had a huge set of houses & accessories and trimmed it down to what I think will fit on my buffet. I kept the pieces that people had given me. Next year I think I'm going to keep a log of what all I sell each month just to see how much I make in a year, lately it's done pretty good.
Choir practice tonight since Thurs. is Thanksgiving. Now I'm off to refill my coffee cup & get the day started. Enjoy all!

Good Morning Wrabbits.

I slept about as good as the rest of you! It could have been worse. Nose drips on and off, but the headache is the killer right now. I think this head cold is almost done. Let's hope so.
I haven't had a COLD in YEARS. I guess going to church 2 days in a row and the crowds there got me this cold. I was supposed to go to a funeral viewing last night and thank goodness I came to my senses and stayed home.

Karen: The Cobbler Bags sound interesting. Glad they're selling so well.
I wish I could get online and sell the TONS of X-Mas stuff I don't use anymore. Just don't feel like dealing with posting and getting back to people and the picking up etc, etc.

Okay, folks. I need to put in a pan of Sweet Potatoes that I made for Art to take to his Bikers Giving luncheon at the Park today. I'm staying home. I made this and had a MASK on the whole time. I have it on right now too!

Hope we all get some rest this afternoon. Later gang.

Spent most of the day "coughing" on and off. Used up a lot of
Kleenex and hand sanitizer.
How does system know that it's getting to be nighttime and
you start coughing? Going to take a LONG HOT SHOWER with
some Eucalyptus oil sprinkled on the bottom of the shower floor.

I never did change out of my "J's and bathrobe" today.

Hope you folks had a better day than I did.

I feel guilty;, I go to bed, generally drop right off and sleep like a log. Fay, like a lot of you have trouble sleeping most nights.
hope you are feeling better K2.
Kc, I don't know if we are getting a lot of rain or not, it seems like it rains a lot in spurts.
Glad your computer was working better today Dave, maybe tomorrow it will be fine
Hi Lee
We still have roses on our rose bushes. One is loaded with pink roses and another has a bright red rose.
I hope everyone has a very good and restful nights sleep tonight.

Hope that you have a good night and feel better in the morning Kathie.
The flowers are gone from our neighbourhood Mike. “Hi”.
Funny enough Karen we were looking at our boxes of Christmas decorations thinking they need to be pared down a tad. You do seem to do well with your online sales! Good. Never heard of “cobbler bags” before.
We booked our first breakfast reservation at The Kona Cafe in Disney’s Polynesian Resort this morning. We’ve gone there for breakfast every time we have gone to Central Florida. About 35 years ago we stayed at The Poly for 5 nights. I don’t think those 5 nights cost as much as one night at that property does now. o_O
I hope tonight we all sleep as well as Mike does.
See you in the morning.

The Buffoon isn't even in office yet and he's already pi$$ing off our nearest neighbors, Mexico & Canada. Threatening to put a 25% tariff on anything they sell us. Lee, what did Canada ever do to us??? He makes it sound like Canada sends vast amounts of illegal drugs into this country. Yea, right. As for how digital clocks and watches have changed how we say what time it is....instead of saying it's 3:24 we used to say it was almost 3 thirty.

KC; Sounds like that sleep aid you used works pretty good. What's the hold up on getting a new microwave? It's amazing how many Christmas decorations and ornaments we've all collected over the years. Most of which never get out of the box each year.

Coughing with a runny nose does not make for a fun day, K2. At least you got to stay home and have a Jammy-Day.

You're lucky Mike, still being able to see pink and bright red roses on your rose bushes at the end of November.

No plans for today, just winging it.

Good Morning Wrabbits. I was up at 3:10 a.m. and made myself a hot tea w/honey and took a 1/2 shot of my "really good" Bourbon. I don't think it did anything to help the DRY COUGH.
Right now, I went to the bathroom and decided to post something now in case I actually can fall back to sleep.

Art volunteered to peel the 10 pounds of potato spuds for tomorrows Thanksgiving Dinner. What a guy! I would have had to have a mask on the entire time to make sure I don't spread this cold. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Mike: I hope Fay got a decent night's sleep. Something about US WOMEN and our bodies that interferes with us getting a good night's sleep. HATE IT! Art can put his head on the pillow and be SNORING LOGS (huge logs) ASAP!.

Okay, I'm going back to bed now and hope I can catch a few more winks of peaceful sleep.

Lee: If I were you and Lu-Ann I doubt that I would put up more than a WREATH on the DOOR Outside and when you get ready to pull out of the driveway it would be DOWN in the garage!

Dave: If that Baboon ticks off our neighbor "CANADA" they might just NOT LET US CROSS THEIR BORDER in retaliation. It would serve us right. He's just getting started on becoming the DICTATOR. Lord help us all.
Some folks were interviewed in Penn and an older lady said: " He's horrible but just wait when his 4 years are up and he WON'T LEAVE THE WHITE HOUSE"! I can see that happening. A REVOLT for sure.

By the way our Huge Geranium plant on the front porch is still holding in there! Amazing plant. I still have the 2 Daisy flowers that I think might be petrified. And a few others that have a few buds open on them. Crazy.

Bye Bye Hello GIF

6:26 as I start my morning note. Yes Dave, that used to be “twenty five past six” or “almost six thirty”.
Funny thing about tariffs. They work both ways. It seems that The United States imports, among other things from Canada, water. And crude oil. And auto parts to build new American made vehicles. As those raw material or parts prices increase through tariffs so does the bottom line to consumers. The rich get richer and the average workin’ people fall further. ‘Nuff said about that.
We still have a postal strike now entering its second week here in Canada. Generally, nobody seems to care.
Who’s that? Oh, hi Kathie. Up for an early morning “snog” of her favourite booze. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: Hope it helps your cough and getting back to sleep. We have a couple of outdoor decorations that will come down easily after Christmas. And very few, if any, indoor decorations. Leaving for Florida a week earlier than usual we decided we don’t need the added burden of packing away Christmas before we go! Depending on the direction America takes this may well be our final trip south.
7:09 as I finish my note. no, I don’t know why. I type a bit. Read it, delete or change it.
I hope everyone has a great day. Be careful if you’re out and about with everyone preparing for your Thanksgiving, tomorrow.

Lee posted: We still have a postal strike now entering its second week here in Canada. Generally, nobody seems to care.
So, does this mean you haven't gotten ANY MAIL for 2 weeks?? WOW. Good luck catching up once they get this settled.
If you have trouble getting back into Canada after your Winter vacation, you can always hang out at our place. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Tylenol seems to work better than anything else I've taken for this cold/cough.
I did manage to get some nice WARM Cream of Wheat for breakfast.
Worse than the coughing is the SORE RIB CAGE!

Later gang.

I do hope that your cough subsides. The ache from the coughing is always the worst. Depending how things go politically Kathie, you and Art may want to hang at our place until you find a nice home here in Canada. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
Nope, no mail for two weeks. But really, nobody seems to care. In our case we get all of our utility bills on line. We pay our bills on line. For the most part we send and receive e-greeting cards. Aside from flyers we, along with most of our friends, get nothing of any consequence or value in the mail.
RANT TIME…Retirees get nothing from improvements to collective agreements. I get my indexed pension (it rises with inflation) every month. When I turned 65 my benefits disappeared. I say leave them out until The Union comes to their senses, agrees to a realigned delivery model and drops their ridiculous 25 1/2% over 4 year wage increase demand. The company has already said no rollbacks to existing employee benefits and offered an increase of over 11% over 4 years. They need to move to a minimum 6 day parcel delivery model to compete / keep up with competitors. Like major courier companies and, dare I say, Amazon.
Now you’ve done it Kathie! Time for a blood pressure pill…

I got it K2, been a long time since I have seen Tom and Jerry. A couple of teaspoons of honey works ver;y well for me. Fay had a so so night.
Hello Lee, no mail for two weeks that would be 2 weeks of not getting requests for more money donations. Most of our mail someone is asking for donations. If you are coming down I 75 we don't live too far from there, it would be nice to see both of you if you would like to stop some where near the exit of drive to our house, I'm guessing it is a 6 hour drive from Toledo or K2s. We live in Fairfield Ohio. Other than Dr appt we have very little going on. Cute video. I hope your blood pressure is back down. You can do what I advised a friend, get a glass of wine put your feet up and say the h__ll with it.
Dave, I'm taking a wait and see what kind of damage frump will get us into. He promised to jail Hillary but didn't so I'm sure a lot of his talk may be empty promises or threats. What ever it is it may not be too good for the average middle class citizens.
Pattie took Fay for a blood test this morning but won't know the results for a while. It may lead to more tests or everything is OK.
