The brownies were a hit Kathie. We offered Steve and Michelle a take away pack and they were glad to have some to go.
I like Costco chocolate chip cookies too Mike. Actually I like pretty much anything that has the words cookies or chocolate in the name.
How’s tricks in Belleview today Karen?
Cloudy with drizzle scheduled to start soon. Yuk!
Have a good evening everybody.

Not a good evening here in Belleview, Jane is going to make the call to the vet tomorrow for Hansel. She said he's been in pain the last 2 days, he eats & the food just comes right back up. She can't let him suffer any longer, Barb & I will be there with her & Hansel.

My thoughts go out to Jane and that hard decision to give peace and comfort to Hansel. Never easy to do. Please tell Jane I send her hugs and love. So glad you sisters are always their for each other. Take care.

Good Morning!

Lee beat me to a good APRIL SNOW picture! It's all WHITE outside around here too.
If you live up this way, you know this is actually NORMAL for April. It's like the stock
market........it goes UP and DOWN most of the month! Crazy, but it actually looks nice outside.
Mike: Did you get snow by you?

I have to cut this short because I'm off to get a haircut and the drive is about 40 mins from our house.
You all behave, stay safe and I'll be back later.

Jane, Barb and Karen know you're all thought of today.

We’re back from the Parkinson’s flag raising in LaSalle this morning. My gosh it was cold. Which likely worked to keep all of the speakers and dignitaries on track.
It was good to see Dan after 53 years! Neither one of us would have recognized each other if we passed in the street! We exchanged contact information and hopefully will catch up with him and his wife Lesley down the road. At least before another 53 years pass!
We came home and got Ava down to The River for a walk and stopped at Subway for a quick lunch.
I thought I’d pop by to see what mischief you had ll gotten into.
Safe trip to the salon and back Kathie.
We had three brownies out so we had one with our coffee just now. The third one? We shared it on Mike‘s behalf.
(((Hugs for Karen, Jane and Barb))).

Lee & Lu-Ann you two are brave souls going to Navy Park! Brrr cold.
38F here and drizzle of rain. Snow is all gone.
Always nice when you can chit chat with friends from decades ago. Glad you could meet up.

House feels damp without any sunshine coming in the windows.

Trip to get hair cut went well. I’m good to go until next month or so!
Karen thinking about you.

I need to grab a coffee. That’s it folks.

Hansel crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 1:45 this afternoon, his Mama held him as he passed, Aunt Karen stroked his his head & Aunt Barb bravely watched from a chair. This is the first time she's had to see a pet pass. Hansel had a lovely morning with his Mom & Aunts, Aunt Barb drove him around in her van, he went to the park, ate Burger King breakfast sandwiches. Then went to another park & barked at the ducks, then to Aunt Karen's house to say goodbye to Ginger & Aunt Barb's house to say goodbye to her cat Spot. By the time we got back to his house you could tell it took a lot out of him so he got lots of hugs & cuddles until time to leave for the vets. Aunt Barb had planned to wait in the car but changed her mind & came inside, we know that took a lot for her. He was greatly loved by all 3 of us & will be greatly missed. I buried him in Jane's front yard right in front of the chairs we sit in when I am mowing the yard, he always loved being outside with us.

Mike: You and Fay doing okay down in OHIO?
I made a new type of pastry for the choirs Palm Sunday Bake sale Sunday.
It was nothing like the video on Facebook.
Lesson learned — stick to the “tried & true” recipes. I’ll try again in the morning.

Nite for now Hutch Mates.

A busy day here. I have a hearing test at 9:00. I booked it early so I could get done and home and then they said I should bring Lu-Ann. Oh well.
Tomorrow we are having neighbours for something we haven’t done for a while. I’m making pasta and baked turkey meatballs for a nice Italian themed dinner. We’ll shop today and I’ll get as much prep done ahead as I can. I’ll also make Parmesan Fricos which are just shredded Parmesan and a little black pepper baked in 1 1/2 inch rounds until crisp. Tiramisu for dessert. Oh, and garlic bread of course.
Hopefully Kathie your kitchen adventures turn out well today!
I’m sure the first day without Hansel will be hard for Jane but I know you and Barb will be there for her Karen.
Hiya Mike. Coffee’s on if you’d like a cup.
Gonna get a move on. Have a great day everyone.

Kathi Allen if you're reading along please pop in and let us know how you're doing. Not a day goes by that I don't think of dear Fr DAVE and you too. It's hard not seeing his posts and morning greetings. Take care. :emoticon 0152 heart:

Good MID-Morning from PURE MICHIGAN. The weather changes from day to day here lately. I just saw that tomorrow we might get 1" of snow. Ha Ha. And it's past April Fools Day, so they might just be telling us the truth! Wonder if my lawn guy, ED, will come by and shovel the snow one more time. I doubt it very much. It'll melt fast this time of the year.

SKY is Egg Robin Blue right now. Actually beautiful.

The house across the street on the corner is getting a new roof today. 6 little Mexicans up there hammering away. They're replacing 2 sky-lights too. There are bundles of insulation stacked up on the driveway. Art thinks maybe they're going to add insulation in the crawl spaces. Never saw insulation on other roof jobs around here.
Here's the kicker..... the owners are away on vacation! They should be back today or tomorrow.

Lee: Sounds like a fantastic "spread" of food you're putting together over there. Make enough sauce (gravy, as Mama Bear used to call it) for freezing. Enjoy.

I got out a few standby recipes and will start baking goodies soon. I'll have my back brace on for sure. I'm going to make an appointment with my favorite Orthopedic doctor to get this back X-Ray'd and a possible MRI to make sure it's not a bulging disk. I'm thinking it's just bad arthritis.
ALWAYS SOMETHING.

Our choir is also selling $20 raffle tickets that will get you (2) designer purses. If all are sold it will net us $4400.00 buck-a-roo's) There is a Serbian church in Pennsylvania that does a HUGE raffle with lots of purses and has a luncheon at the time of the drawing and that church makes up to $15,000.00 bucks. It's a very complicated raffle. They actually have a live online feed for people that buy tickets out of town. Thank goodness we aren't doing that here.

Mike: I hope you're just having computer issues and all is good with you and Fay.

Karen: Does your church have Friday Fish Fry's during Lent? Hope today is a better day for you and Jane and Barb too.

Later gang.

Yesterday I was going to look up something that I read before. I could not find it, after abut 1/2 hour I forgot what I was trying to find. I read where everyone that is working for frump has to were a pin that is a bust of frump. I am having a hard time believing it. Any one else read this. I will check it on snopes.
All is good with us K2, thanks for asking. I hope the Dr. can find your problem and help releave it.
Kc, as Lee said, that was a beautiful picture you painted of Hansel and his family. There is a lot of love there.
Lee, I used to make french toast when I was a preteen. Now I goof up making a cup of coffee so if it's not too late, I'll get that cup of coffee now.

Thanks for the kind words all, yesterday was a tough one, but life goes on and even though we miss Hansel like crazy we are trying to focus on the good times & all the love that crazy lil guy had for us.

Lee, hope the hearing test went well this morning & your Italian dinner sounds delish! I am having leftover Italian something Jane sent home with me yesterday. I forgot what she told me it was but everything she cooks is pretty tasty so I know I will enjoy it.

Mike, I hadn't heard that about trumpty-dumpty's staff having to wear a pin of his bust, but knowing his ego it wouldn't surprise me one bit! He's trying to get his picture put on the $100 bill

Kathie, sorry your new recipe didn't work out for the church bake sale, I'm going to go out on a limb here & say I bet Art volunteered to eat the baking mishap for you. No fish fry's during lent at St. Mary's, we have soup suppers on Wed. nights instead

The day started out nice & cool so I went out early & got the back fence cleaned, I can't say I'm especially thrilled with how clean it came, I didn't have enough of the regular deck cleaner & used some 30 second cleaner on the 2nd half of the fence and to me it doesn't look that great. I took pic's will post them later once I get them off my phone. Came back inside & worked on cleaning house, it seems like I haven't been home much lately & things were beginning to pile up. Tomorrow we have a funeral service at St. Mary's for one of our residents here in the Villas so will be going to that & then after the reception is over Pamela & I will be setting up the tables with new tablecloths for Palm Sunday. Then starts Holy Week with services everyday, but I'm going to skip Tues. morning & go to Janes to mow the yard since I didn't get it done yesterday. Now I think it's time for a glass of something cold & just relax a bit.

Kc, I checked the pin and the $100 bill plus a $250 bill on snopes. There is a frump pin but no proof that trump is behind it and some texas politicians wanted those bills.
Do you need hearing aids Lee?
How did your tried and true come out K2??
I'm going to get that cup of coffee now Lee

Mike, I can honestly say I'm shocked that trumps not behind the $100 bill idea, course we still have almost 4 more years for him to decide that is his next "bigly" really Great idea.
