It's going to be a another 5 days of 80's here in the Detroit/Metro area. Up North in Michigan the leaves are turning colors and it's time to make the Fall drive to see the "color change".
Temps here in Detroit/Metro area aren't too bad for OCTOBER. Would love it to be the beginning of May right now, but not that lucky.
We're suppose to have a few more nice days in the high 75[sup]o[/sup] temps. Love this Indian Summer we've had this year.
Went to Boyne City, MI (Up North) and saw the end of the Fall Color Changes this past weekend. It's soooooo peaceful up there. Lots of deer and Wild Turkey's running around.
Now POST SOMETHING on here .........ya hear!![/size]
Every once in a while I answer this thread, but it always ends up making some people upset. As I look out the window right now, it's a sunny 81 degrees. I live in SWFL, so it's always beautiful down here!
KathieK2 - say hello to my former hometown. I was born and raised in Taylor, and a Wayne State grad. I love Detroit, but it's hard not to like lving in Southwest Florida. Only two hours away from Port EVerglades, Miami, and Port Manatee in Tampa!
[size=medium]Hey there JOE!! Detroit is nice, but I'd take FLORIDA this time of the year anytime!! Make sure to come back and "rub in" the nice temps around February!! D
MBandy I didn't know you MOVED to Vegas. Win any money lately?? (tu)
Weather people are predicting 35-40 mph winds for Tues. WOW....and I thought it was WINDY today. At least it wasn't freezing cold.[/size]
Yeah, I moved back to Vegas in September. Living in the same apartment complex, working for the same company.
Deja vu all over again
50 degrees right now (just before sunrise) and supposed to get up to the upper 60's.
Nah, haven't won any money, but then again I really don't gamble much which is good if you live here. My favorite casino activity (I live across the street from the Fiesta and the Texas Sattion) is the buffet or the $2.99 double cheeseburger & fries :thumb
[size=medium]Hi there MBandy. Nice to know that our weather was about the same a few days ago. Now, however, it's going down FAST!! Today it was 40 most of the day without much wind.
Tonight it's 34 and it's only 10:50 pm. I'm sure it'll get colder.
You just can't imagine how I DREAD Winter!! Wish my Son-in-law would get transfered to somewhere WARM so we could follow them and the Grandkids!! Since I've never been a lucky person......I kind of know I'm stuck in Michigan! Bummer!! (td)
Yeah I know about that Michigan weather since I used to live in Ann Arbor back in the day. Not bad here lately. Lows around 50 with highs in the 70's. Nice, sunny skies here today.
It's been raining ALL DAY here in Detroit/Metro area. 40 degrees right now, but dropping. (11:37 pm. Thursday nite)
Suppose to get some snow flakes on Thanksgiving!! Hope the weather man is totally wrong. It'll be bad enough for the Detroit Parade with all the water all over the streets.......they don't need SNOW too.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone who posts on this Weather Thread!!
Joe: Ann Arbor hasn't changed one single bit. Same ole ....same ole!!
yikes! It really cooled off here. Only 43 degrees with a "feels like" of 36 =eek B-r-r-r-r-r-r. Only supposed to make it to 58. Had the heat on for the first time last night.
YIKES...28 degrees...OK I'll stop whining. It's 40 here at 9 AM. Supposed to make it to 60 by 3 PM.
I visited California over Thanksgiving. It was very foggy in Oxnard on Thursday morning but it was nice to see weather actually happening. Cleared up nicely by 11AM. Here in the desert it usually just sunny all the time...and no, I'm not complaining about that
This morning I woke up to 18[sup]o[/sup] temps!! That's just NOT RIGHT even for Michigan this early in the season.
Right now at 2:18 A.M. Thursday......it's 46[sup]o[/sup] ....now go figure that out!! Hey, I'll take 46 over 18 anytime.
This is how weird it's been around here this year with the temps being HOT one day and Freezing the next. Most of our trees still have tons of leaves on them. It's NOT suppose to be like that. People just don't rake leaves in the beginning of December. Suppose to be into SNOW SHOVELING instead!!
You all have a great day and hope everyones getting their "Christmas or Hannuka" shopping done early.
Bob and John.........BIG HELLO's coming your way for all that you do for all of us on these boards. [/size]
Well on Friday it was just ugly. Cloudy cold and rainy. It was 47 degrees when I was on my way home from work at 2PM which was cooler than when I came to work at 4:30. It didn't rain too hard but it did rain for about 12 hours. They say we had more rain in one day yesterday than we've had since the summer of 2005. Since it rained longer rather than harder we didn't have any flooding.
As for today it has cleared up. Mostly sunny and 47 right now. Supposed to be 57 and windy this afternoon.
it is cold and wet here today in Utica, NY. We have just one-week from today until we leave for Georgetown, Guyana. Really looking forward to it, never been there.
I am looking out the window of my office and there is snow on some of the lower foothills. Rainy and cold. "Feels like" temp is 38. I'm ready for the 110's again.
